  1. Oske trudged into the Smithy that had a sign bolted above the door, claiming it was called “Smith’s Smithy.†It probably was supposed to be clever and funny, but it wasn’t really. She pushed open the door, and the fumes of burning metal wafted through the air and into her nose. She coughed quietly, but the burning sensation faded quickly.

“Well, hey there, little miss,†an NPC, male, said as he approached her. He wore a black apron and a cap. “What can I do for ya?â€

“Um, hello,†Oske said, playing with her fingers. “I-I’m looking for a job. I was wondering if you could teach me how to forge weapons and stuff?â€

The man narrowed his eyes, almost scowling at her. “Oh? So you’re not here for a weapon?â€

“Well, I am… but… I’d like to make it myself.†Oske swallowed nervously. “Is that okay…?â€

The man paused, then gave her a sly grin. “Well, depends. Will you buy a weapon from me?â€

“Um, well, I have money for a weapon, but how about I pay you for helping me learn how to make it?†she asked shyly. The man shrugged.

“Sounds good to me. I’ll get you some materials, and you can get going. That’ll be… 4000 Col.â€

    “4000 Col!?†Oske gasped. “That’s… that’s pretty expensive… I only have 400…â€

“Well, then go fight some monsters and earn some Col. There’s a field Northwest of Starting City with a ton of Adult Wolf spawns. Good luck, little miss.â€

“My name Oske,†Oske said, holding out her hand to the NPC. She immediately regretted it—his hands were horribly sweaty, even with his gloves on.

“I’m Bill,†he told her. She raised an eyebrow, then walked out the door and headed toward the field while unsheathing her sword.

  2. Oske lifted her head. It seemed that a few players had entered the restaurant, along with a boy who seemed to be exhausted from running around. Afraid to get up and approach the others, she looked over at Zelrius and said, "Um... excuse me... uh, sir... are you alright?" she asked in a quiet, shy tone.

  3. "Seven Swords Tavern, huh...?" Oske murmured as she saw the large brick tavern built with a wooden door that hung on rusty hinges. She slowly pushed the door open, looking around. She saw a few NPCs, and of course the bartender. She sat down in front of him nervously. She was bad at communicating with people. "Um, what's your specials...?" she asked quietly.

  4. Oske stood outside of Horunka Village, her hands clasped together. It had been three weeks since she started playing this death game, and she still hadn’t made any friends. She was a solo player, but… it wasn’t like she wanted to be. She sheathed her curved sword and slowly walked into the village, looking around.

“I guess I’ll go to an inn or something… maybe I’ll meet someone at a restaurant?â€

  5. I read the rules and stuff multiple times, but I'm afraid I'm doing something wrong... I can't edit my original journal post, so uh... How do I get skills and my starter weapon? I'd like a basic one-handed curved sword... and... I don't really understand! Help?

  6. Oske approached the NPC, her hands close to her chest. She almost had the stature of a squirrel, nervous and shy. She stared at the question mark at first, then the duel icon. She slowly reached out her finger, hovering over the button. She paused. This won't hurt me. I don't need to be afraid. I can handle this! Oske took another deep breath, then pressed the accept button.

    About

Olivia had a late development. She grew up non-verbal for three years longer than she should've. When she learned to speak, she became a quick learner who was very book-smart. She loved to write and draw, however she had very dark topics in her writing and was later found to have severe depression. During middle school, she befriended an abusive girl who later ruined her to the point of no return. Olivia's behavior reflects her past, no matter how much she has grown as a person. She closed herself off from the world, resorting to online games where no one knew her face or could hurt her. Eventually, she found Nervegear. With the money she had saved up from her kitchen job, she purchased the game entered the point of no return... Sword Art Online.

    Virtues

Creative - Oske is an artist. With everything she does, she adds a little bit of her own flair. She is constantly striving for perfection and beauty in her work. This often gives her a leg up not only aesthetically, but sometimes functionally. Her little tweaks to premade recipes can lead to extreme improvement.

Silly - Despite her dark thoughts, Oske is incredibly playful and silly. She makes dumb faces, acts like a child, and is overall a very amusing person to be around. This makes it easier for her to gain allies rather than enemies, as she seems like no threat at all. After all, she's just a goof-ball.

Loyal - Friendship is the most important thing to Oske. No matter what, she will protect her friends. While she may not care much for herself, Oske is willing to put her life on the line to defend a friend, and will fight with all her strength and being for that friend.

    Flaws

Paranoid - Oske is incredibly afraid of everything. She can barely handle someone walking behind her, let alone walking in a large crowd. She has a hard time trusting people and will often fear her friends will hurt her, often times for longer than necessary. She is so afraid of everything that she makes herself sick with worry sometimes.

Clingy/Dependent - When she finally finds a friend she trusts, Oske sticks to them like glue. She is so dependent on them that when they leave her due to her clingy personality, she falls into despair and self-destructive behaviors.

Weak - Oske is weak, not only strength wise, but emotionally. She can barely handle jokes, is unable to tolerate criticism, and is completely destroyed when she is rejected. Embarrassment is a huge issue with her, and she will often hide herself for a while when embarrassed due to her weak personality and low self-esteem.
