  1. (I apologize to the GMs, I forgot to add the completion of this thread to the title. CobaltsDream and I both earned two items in this thread according to Night Shade/Asen's rules. Please add them to our journals as soon as possible. If you would like me to pinpoint the rolls and posts where we attained said equipment, please contact me through PM or Skype. And thank you guys for what you all do! Sincerely, Garou The Chained Werewolf
  2. He smiled down at her even more. Sadly, they didn't have much more time to enjoy the atmosphere, since a loud clicking sound was heard. The large bed they were laying on tilted about 55 degrees and slid them down a chute that opened from the floor! CobaltsDream and Garou found themselves sliding down the narrow passage, with any attempt to grip for escape impossible. They continued to slide down and down, deeper into the building to the point where they were surely under the ground. "BEATHA!!!" the boy called out, flailing his arm wildly up to try to reach his female friend.
  3. As Beatha complemented him, Yon let his lips curl slightly upwards as his eyebrows raised as if lifting the burden of the world off of him. The sad smile withheld tears, droplets of despair that he might one day release from his body. He simply smiled at her in silence, needing no words to thank her for what she had spoken. But still, the mention of her brother stabbed Yon in his heart, reminding him of his sworn duty to protect the innocent and return them to peace. The peace of the real world, where families could enjoy nights together laughing through their regretful arguments, despite the
  4. His expression seemed to drain terribly. What did he even miss? Yon tried to think back, the only thing that really came to mind was his dog. But he knew even that wasn't true. He had taken the dog for granted then, and would only do the same if he returned. He finally gave his piece of mind to Beatha, who perched on his white-shirted chest. "I... There's nothing I would miss," he admitted. "All my life I had been looking for such a bold situation. Sword Art Online just happened to be it." He shrugged lightly. "To be honest, real life bored me. I've always wanted to play the hero, for others t
  5. He nodded. "I hope I can stay here for you, but along the the far road of nobility, sacrifices must be made. Perhaps I will be one of the heroes who give their lives for the cause of freedom..." Yon looked away with a minor sadness, but turned back to smile at her again. He slowly pulled away from her and placed both arms behind the back of his head again. He waited for her to speak again, too tired to continue the conversation on his own terms.
  6. Yon immediately started feeling bad. He seemed to slowly be losing himself within the game, losing his spirit, his will, his drive to go on. But now that he had found Beatha, he had been given purpose once more. And now he was berating her? Even if it was just in his head, he recognized it as a destructive force. Yon let the hurtful thoughts drift out of his head until he could focus on his friend's needs again. "I'm sorry. If we don't make it out of this game, then you won't even have the chance." He caressed her cheek and felt his eyes water ever so slightly. "But don't worry... You're alrea
  7. "Ahhhhhhh..." he replied meekly. Horses. It had to be horses. He heard stories about horse girls, and they're strange attachments. Yon took a deep, shaky breath as he tried to calm himself down, doing his best to see past her flaw.
  8. He hadn't really thought about the direct next step after high school, but he knew what he wanted to do. "I plan to go into meteorology. I'm really into the weather, and I love the rain. I think snow is gorgeous, personally. Maybe even better than just its liquid form..." He poked her nose a couple of times for fun.
  9. The gentle lad scrunched his facial features in thought, searching for the right questions about the real world. "So... Do you have any plans when you get out of school?" Yon moved his hands to her right wrist and squeezed lightly, letting her know that he was eager to know. Even if they weren't making real physical contact, it was real enough for them.
  10. Yon wore a more neutral expression on his face, less sadness but not exactly happiness. He hugged Beatha tightly and yawned, stretching his legs outwards. "Well, right now you're with me, Beatha. Let's discuss more happy things. We need to get to know each other better so we can really connect as friends. What would you like to talk about?" The boy still lightly held her in his arms, two bars of security than kept the horrors of the outside world away.
  11. He frowned lightly and looked at her face again. "Ahhhhh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to strike a touchy subject." He pulled her a bit closer, despite his nervous disposition. "I'm... sorry..." Yon began stroking her hair softly, hoping she would start feeling more comfortable in Sword Art Online.
  12. Yon looked down at her awkwardly. He was unsure what to say to her, not knowing the Scottish culture very much. "So... were you two intimate or something...?" He asked with a slight hint of fear for speaking out of place.
  13. The (currently un-)Chained Werewolf could sense the girl's dissatisfaction. He pulled her back to him softly and began to speak. "It's okay, it feels nice. What did you mean by you not liking to sleep alone? Did your brother cuddle against you at night or something?" He chuckled, but the suggestion weirded him out a bit.
  14. Yon made a goofy oof sound when she put her head on his chest, moving his arms from behind his own head and clinging to the covers like a cornered beast. "Um... Beatha... You're awfully close..." The boy began squirming comedically as he struggled to get more relaxed but not shrug his friend off of him.
  15. He pushed himself up and looked at her with a look of slight pity and sadness. This girl... Is she my responsibility now...? He walked over to the other side of the bed and laid down slowly on top of the covers, both arms behind his head in a reclined position. "Happy now...?" the boy asked shyly. He was blushing slightly, but he did his best to force his green eyes to her blue eyes.
  16. Yon continued to face away from her as he began to look at his own reflection instead of the world outside. "No, thank you. I'd rather not advance on you or anything." His voice cracked. He was exhausted, not able to get much rest in the crazy world of Sword Art Online. But he definitely wasn't sleepy after today. CobaltsDream gave Yon goosebumps, but they were a good kind. Every time he was near her he felt like he was losing it to her gothic, punk, leathery allure.
  17. The bold lad laid to the side as he propped his head up with his hand and an elbow to the rug. He brought up his HUD's Equipment menu and removed his hat, his Victorian dress down to a white undershirt and a pair of pajamas. Yon had come a long way to get where he was now. He watched the people mill about in the vicious snowstorm outside as the sun slowly began to set. Even though Beatha was on the bed, he didn't really feel comfortable moving up onto there.
  18. The large room was almost like a culture shock to him after seeing so much medieval scenery. It was surprisingly modern, and the television sent chills down his spine. Something told him that it wouldn't work, and with Yon walked over to press its on-switch the notification appeared between him and the apparently atmospheric furniture. The room reminded him how much he missed his home. In a state of not knowing what to do, Yon sat cross-legged on the floor, looking out the window to see the taiga beyond. Along the wilderness was everything they had been through that day: Snowberry Lake, the w
  19. Garou followed her nervously and with a sweaty palm gripping hers. He gulped, feeling a solid rock of anxiety in his throat. "H-hey, I can sleep on the floor if you want me too..." He used the Suite Key on the top of the fifth floor, opening a pair of fine white double-doors into a huge, white room that seemed appropriate for the large sum of money he had wasted. Nevertheless, Yon's jaw dropped to the floor.
  20. He shook his head and frowned. "No. I've worked hard enough to pay for myself and a few others..." He stepped in front of CobaltsDream, almost insulted by the NPC before him. "I would like your finest room. For two, please." Garou gave a peace-like two fingers to further employ his desire. "Ah... Uh... Alright..." The wealthy man suddenly looked nervous at Yon's apparent confidence. After the boy gave the NPC the proper amount of col (which wasn't cheap!), he was handed the Suite Key. "It's... the most expensive room... I hope... You like your stay..." The NPC cowardly slunk away as he left
  21. Yon gulped and heeded her motion, stepping inside the wealthy hotel. He went into a fine marble, polished room with hearts decorated on all sides of the foyer. The NPC clerk had on fine silk robes of red, with an intricate smile that told stories of a life of pure splendor, almost to the extent of unfortunate disdain. Between him and the young couple was an immense fountain of ivory polish. "Hello, adventurers! Do you think you have the money to stay in our wonderful estate?"
  22. He felt bubbly inside when she leaned. Unlike her, he was more reserved and restrained in nature, and with such a personality comes his feebleness in the midst of a laid back girl. Yon shuddered with her against him as he blushed for what must have been the thousandth time. "O-okay. Let's step in, shall we?" His voice was a mere trembling wreck.
  23. Yon yawned as he began walking along the road. "I suppose we should." Luckily for him the moon was waning in the game. There would surely be no issues that night for him. He continued walking until he reached a slightly expensive inn with a large, finely chiseled marble sign above the entrance. Gliding Swan Inn Garou turned to Beatha and smiled gently. "How is this for an evening together?" It might have been over his budget, but this was a special night for the lad.
  24. Garou sighed, seeming to be a combination of relieved and disappointed. He nodded and sighed a second time. "I suppose that's fine. Do you want to head to an inn right now?" Yon was nervous; obviously he had never slept in the same room as a girl. He tugged his wide-brimmed black hat lower, hiding the view of his crystal-like green eyes.
  25. He (literally) jumped at the suggestion of an inn, blushing at the mention of such a thing. "Wh-what do you m-mean!? An inn?" He looked like a mixture of things- excited, scared, happy, nervous, you name it. He tried to say more but his throat molded a rock inside itself, his lips sewn together by his flurry of estranged emotions.
