Garou choked on the dank stench of the enclosed space. It was so foul his heart almost skipped a beat. Does this mean not even human characters in the game's backstory have been here in ages...? He almost tripped over a loose piece of tile but grabbed the slimy wall, catching what felt like vines in the darkness. "What... is this moss!?" the lad exclaimed. Wow, so there is some sort of life on this floor...
-
Objective: Follow the trail of the culprit of the Barduk murders.
Garou equipped the cruddy curved sword and put his heightened sight on again, seeing a trail of red footprints that were almost double the size of a normal human foot. "God... this thing... It must be pretty big..." He pointed at the ground leading out of the village's South exit.
-
Garou saw his chance and dove into the battle, taking a heavy swing towards the girl's down defense. Sadly, his body was still to exhausted. I can't believe it... this is getting nowhere...
He looked up to Pepper, sweat pouring down his face. "So, seen any good movies lately?"
-
Garou frowned at the first words Clarence said. It felt like an eternity to me... But then he heard gift and felt confident in their party again. "Invisibilty, huh... hopefully the boss relies on eyes, or isn't blind by nature..." He smiled to his friend. "Thanks though, Clarence. You've really pulled through for us."
The Chained Werewolf stroked the obsidian slate of the tower, so smooth. So unnatural...
-
Garou began eating the ice cream slowly and quietly, examining his surroundings. He ignored the people talking and thought about CobaltsDream, the girl he left on Floor 1 again. Maybe he had found a special someone...
-
Cerberus was visibly desperate, foaming at the mouths. It charged all three of its maws and let loose a powerful trinity beam of blinding white light towards both players.
-
Garou stopped in front of the massive tower, looking up towards the enormous black tower that reached for the heavens, way past the blood-stained ground that supported all of Floor 7. "Hopefully Zelrius has an answer to that. But honestly, I think we're probably the only players here so far besides Zauis..." He shivered slightly at the thought. God... its so intimidating...
-
The Chained Werewolf was waiting for Clarence with a solemn look. As soon as his prisoner saw his fellow guild member he tried to run for it, but Garou caught him by the throat. "Good to see you made it, Clarence. Where is Zelrius?"
-
The large beast whined in pain from the devestating hit, obviously not prepared for such a thing. Its body faltered in some movements as it tried to move forward, towards its soon to be killers.
-
Garou stopped playing to adjust the black hat on his head. "Well, I believe we are currently trailing over the fresh footsteps of Zauis. Who knows, we may even meet him in there, fighting the boss..."
-
"I'm good with my equipment. I always come prepared for a hard week of solitude." Garou strode in front of the two, sending Clarence an invite to their party on his HUD screen. "I have no clue about any of that. To be honest, that tower may just be an optional dungeon. I'm utterly lost..." He pulled out his rusty violin and began stroking out some notes along with his friend's humming.
-
Garou patted his old friend and the back and smiled. "Good day, Clarence. Its nice to see you in this alien Hell. We're planning to check a tower and see if it houses the dungeon to Floor 8. Care to join?" He pulled on the chains clinging to his body, tightening their grip on his virtual being.
-
The boss fell to the ground, whining in pain. The giant creature stumbled back onto its feet and lunged at both Clarence and Zelrius, weakened but letting a charge of all three of its mighty breaths onto the two kids.
-
The lad watched the man die with an oddly blank feeling in his heart. Is... could this be what its like... to be a killer...? Garou couldn't dwell over his thoughts. The time to act was now.
The boy flashed over to the remaining Laughing Coffin and brought out a teleportation crystal from his inventory. "Teleport! Floor 2, Urbus Jail!" The two players exploded into blue crystal shards, reemerging in the large crater town of Urbus, waiting for the others. "Don't do anything or I'll chop of your sensitives..." Garou snarled, glaring at the fearful cloaked man.
-
Garou was staring at the tower, almost hypnotically. He shook his head a few seconds after Zelrius' question. "That's a good idea..." he murmured. "This place is the meaning of death... I can't see a shred of life in the soil any direction. Everything's the color of blood..." He spat at the ground and contorted his face into a somewhat angered expression before walking into the distance, in search of civilization.
-
Cerberus rushed to the side with its tense muscles, roaring at his Clarence. The beast's head swayed side to side, two heads eying Clarence while the other picked out Zelrius in the fading steam.
-
Garou chased Zelrius up to Floor 7. He was about to scold his ally for leaving the others behind, but was too stunned by the stark difference from the jungle. "What the..." He stared at his new surroundings. It practically looked like the pictures of Mars that space rovers had taken.
-
Garou made a "pffft" noise and took another dart, tossing it with all his strength. It barely hit again, and it was starting to get on his nerves. "Go ahead, finish up the game..." he muttered.
-
The purple-haired, red player sighed and raised his two-handed longsword. "Okay, fools! You have two choices: let us arrest you and live or fight us and die!" Garou's voice was quivering. He was notably still disturbed by becoming a Player Killer.
-
He took a deep breath and stepped inside the dark hut, activating his heightened sight. Garou could make out a pile of bones in the hut with a human skull resting on the top. An indication appeared in his quest log:
The Predator of Barduk
The Chained Werewolf set the objective as his Active Quest and walked towards the blacksmith, leaving Zelrius to activate the quest himself. He selected some col and offered some to trade for a rusty, cheap curved sword to another player. After this was successful he went to join Zelrius again.
-
The Cerberus bent back and low, allowing Miles to fly above it as it jumped in mid-air, slamming the familiar hard with its back and smacking it into the ceiling. The giant monster run to the other end of the room and barked, glaring at its foes.
-
Garou sat cross-legged on the ground in front of the fire and crossed his arms. He could see where Aria was coming from, seeing as he had questioned Rage and Zauis' allegiances as well. The boy yawned as Clarence asked for recommendations, and Garou simply shrugged. He then waited for Clarence to finish the desert in silence.
-
Garou frowned at her cruel snickering but laughed at her own failure. "Well, looks like I'm the superior player after all," he mused. Tossing another dart casually. It actually landed on the outer rim of the board, not sinking in as his other projectile did. "Ahhh, what the heck." The boy laughed some more as he moved out of Beatha's way, grinning at her.
-
Garou patted her back as he picked up a dart of his own. Garou eyed the board with almost a sixth sense, rearing back and letting the dart zoom through the air. Which was all nice because his shot
didn't even hit the board.
His dart was right of the edge of the board, driven into the wooden wall of the outdoor stall. Garou grumbled to himself as he looked at CobaltsDream, waiting for her to take her turn.

Garou shoved his Laughing Coffin into a cell, using a menu to lock the gate door. I hope this Zelrius guy didn't lose his familiar, he thought. Garou turned to check what was in the exiting hallway, seeing two NPC guards. "Hey!" They called out. "Halt, player killer! You're under arrest!" Garou was relieved for a second, believing it to be a mention of the remain Coffin. But he looked at his crystal above his head: 'twas red.
After Zelrius had answered Clarence's question, the purple-haired lad dashed back towards them. "NPC guards at 12:00. Stay lively!" He skidded to a stop, pulling out Heaven's Beam, the two-handed longsword that Rage had crafted for him specifically.
