    Am I right in assuming sword skills are just a way to fluff up your descriptions of your attacks, and that they don't specifically like, alter combat in any way?

      Sword Skills are actually in progress right now; under the name of 'sword arts'

      but feel free to fluff up the description of your attacks as long as your sword doesn't magically set people on fire etc without the actual buffs ;)
