  1. Kotori had decided that doing only one more damage than usual wouldn't do it for the plans she had in mind. Of course she treasured the weapon she had received as a gift and wouldn't dare to throw it out simply because it was rude and she had no need to do so. It didn't matter of course because she had a couple spots open in her inventory and wouldn't have the need to remove until much later on in the game. Her idea was since she noticed a rise in the amount of Col she found herself with, it would be best to start spending a bit on her equipment or lack thereof. It would be simple. She would track down Oikawa's shop and request an order for a perfect weapon which would aid her on many things. Upon finally finding the shop, she entered into to find a... most unpleasant sight. It was girl around her height planting a kiss on Oikawa's cheek before passing Kotori and going on her merry in a bulky suit of armor. The dagger in her possession no longer seemed as treasured when she had originally set out to the blonde's shop. Still, no need to say a single word to the boy at all considering he would need to explain himself the next time she saw her. The girl made her way to the counter with making eye contact and then typed up an order before sending it to him.

  2. Kotori nodded at the red-haired girl as she went in for the attack. Extending her right arm so that her dagger was held straight out at the Kobold, she dashed in at the mutant and slashed at it with extreme prejudice. A red pixelated line appeared where her attack landed and the girl backed up towards her now lone companion. "I managed to get a critical, switch!" she yelled before assuming a defensive position in case the monster decided to get revenge upon her for the attack she had landed.

  3. Kotori  decided to start and end another day with a good craft simply because she had no luck at all with her recent ones. It would be nice to get an echanted food, but she had no luck so far on that either. Starting off with trying to bake a few more bushels of wheat into bread, the girl inserted said items into the stove and waiting for a few minutes. It was a game of luck from her experience so she would need to hope for the best and find out. Although she was most likely just unlucky as she ended with complete garbage in store for the next craft which would come soon. Grabbing a mushroom and a few other ingredients, the girl begin slicing and cutting the items in attempt to make a sandwich that would give health when eaten. It was unbelievable when she found herself with a perfect item in the end with three well-fed buffs added to it. She had actually went and created something with value to it and it made her fill with joy. She was also one point away from leveling up her cooking skill which would give her more crafts and better luck in creating food.

  4. Kotori muttered a small thanks, a habit that she seemed to be picking up as it seemed from today. Entering inside the environmentally different building from the outside, she remembered a slight issue that she wouldn't bring up with Oikawa at the moment. She didn't have a room in the inn anymore as she had found a home inside the café that was now her livelihood and also the house where she rested. She decided to pretend that this was where she was supposed to be and bring it up with him later on that night or tomorrow if she fell asleep the minute she entered the shop.

  5. Instead of pulling away from Oikawa like she had done oh so many times before, instead Kotori reached in and grabbed his hand tightly and continued walking about, almost as if nothing had even happened. Inside she felt awkward and strange about the sensation of holding another person's hand, but she dealt with anyway simply because of who the boy was. She eased up a bit up on her grip, not wanting to suck the air of his hand or make it embarrassing between the both of them. All of this however she probably wouldn't do again because she still didn't feel all too right considering she never actually experienced events like this.

  6. "T-thanks." Kotori muttered as she took the dagger from the blonde's hand. She didn't want to hurt him anymore and that was final. She had put too much stress on to his shoulders and for what? Absolutely nothing at all and he still wasn't mad at her. He really was the perfect person. It was actually pretty late considering early today they had been fighting giants bats to save a child and bring him to his mother. The girl thought it would be nice for this to happen again, save the paranoid breakdown she had only a few minutes ago. Looking at her surroundings, Kotori found herself strangely close to Oikawa as she was walking so close that they were touching or at least that she thought they were. She didn't care and she continued walking at this proximity. She felt now she could be herself with him.

  7. Kotori wiped her eyes softly as she stared at the blonde-haired boy. "S-sure.. " She muttered as she stood close by to him. Though there was one thing she wanted to do before they left the cliffside. She just wanted one good hit on him for all the trouble that had arosen ever since she had met him. It wasn't a declaration of hatred or lying about being ok at the moment, it was just a friendly punch although it would be from her dagger and not from hand. "I just want to get one stab for everything so don't you go off deserting me now!" she shouted before unsheathing her dagger and throwing it to left of the boy. "N-nevermind.. I don't want to hurt you anymore.." she muttered before walking towards the city. She was still ashamed of how she had acted today. No. She shouldn't be. Tomorrow, she was turning over a new leaf. She finally was.

  8. Kotori continued on with her daily crafting as she grabbed another batch of materials to mix up in another attempt to create a valid food with buffs or enchancements as she usually called them when speaking to others. It was another try to create jelly that would actually satisfy the tastes of other players. She did the usual when making jelly and that was to beat up the berries with a wooden tube without a hole and then mix with a wooden spoon. Maybe the food was a bit to simple for the game to let it have buffs because it ended up as a good item just like the bread she had made a few days ago. Great. She would have to wait till tomorrow to try again at it.

  9. And in the end it was Oikawa's smile that did it for Kotori. She wasn't an emotional girl unlike most others she had met but she still had feelings and they were leaking out of her like a broken water tap. Of course she didn't do this in front of him but small tears were dropping from her eyes as she allowed her head to continue bury itself into the small cave-like structure made from the position she was in which was being curled up into a small ball. It was actually pretty obvious to anyone around her that she was crying because of slight sniffling sounds that were emanating from inside her small sanctuary. She was just touched from kindness that she had never been shown ever once from anybody.

  10. Kotori gazed at the sunset doing the same as the boy that sat next to her. She couldn't keep this up anymore and she didn't want to be alone anymore. She didn't want to act like this anymore. The sun was setting on her act and her paranoia and it was tim to let go of the madness that consumed her life. Instead of getting up from the place and running how she would've done originally, she hugged Oikawa. Tightly. He had been there from the very beginning and he was going to leave anytime soon. He wasn't going to desert her like how it had happened to her before. "T-thank you.." She mumbled. She then sat back down and curled back into her ball. The sun was almost gone. She didn't want to miss it when it finally went down and disappeared till morning.

  11. Kotori curled into a ball with utter confusion about almost everything. She couldn't believe what he was saying but she could't believe that she was ignoring what he said. She just could barely handle what was going on and it just overwhelmed her. Did Oikawa really care? Was she lying to herself? She just didn't want to say that maybe she was wrong. "I d-don't know.." she said as she stared up at the boy with confused eyes. He was different. She couldn't fool herself like she had done so many times in the last few months. He wasn't like anyone else she had met and he never once showed a single ounce of anger, annoyance or anything in all the time he had been with her. She had no reason to be yelling him and blaming her for all her troubles. She just couldn't admit it. She just couldn't fathom that he wasn't lying to her. Even thought Kotori knew otherwise.

  12. "They must've planned.. This was all just a test. I'll show her." Kotori thought as Teayre seemed unaffected by the events that just transpired. It was simply really, all she had to was destroy the mob that was in front of them and make sure to kill it quickly. It would be much easier with the removal of Azazel who was so close to making Kotori attack her without any second thought. She didn't understand what she could do at all, the brunette was severely underestimated in terms of fighting ability as most of the time she held back. Now it was time to do the complete opposite of how she has fought in front of all her "friends" in Aincrad and show them. Show them her skill. She grabbed the square and went on to fight the monster ahead of them.

  13. Kotori watched with confusion as Oikawa managed to outrun her and stop meters away in front of her, stopping her escape to the cliffside for good. To her horror and possibly the enjoyment of the boy in front of her, she wasn't going to be able to stop in time to be able to stand in front of him and the only option was there was no option. She was going to crash into him at full speed and before she knew it, she did. The girl crashed into Oikawa's stomach and the both of them were knocked to the ground. Opening her eyes, she found herself laying on top of him. Immediately she got off of him with the immediate reaction to squeal in embarrassment. Her face grew a bright rose color and she backed away immediately using her hands. "S-sorry.." she mumbled before saying "G-get away!" and looking down at the grass. She had let herself get caught and she just couldn't fathom why he would follow her to such a degree.

  14. Kotori noticed the ever-prevalent Oikawa chasing her down like a hunter chases its prey. He hadn't understood it clearly how she wanted to be completely alone from others. No, maybe he wanted to show her the she was wrong somehow. "He must THINK I'm a bloody idiot!" she though as she increased her running speed by tenfold. If only she had said no at that cafe, maybe she would've been spared having to deal with the maniacs that she was calling friend. What friends. She never had any and she definitely never would have one in the first place. People were deserters in waiting and she could see it from a mile away. It was so obvious in how people were nice to her for absolutetly no reason at all, even when she was rude, mean and unfriendly to them in the first place. That boy needed that to get through his head or else she was going to force through and she was not going to hold back.

  15. Kotori found herself crafting again with the intent on making actual food. If she was actually going to be able to sell anything, it would start actually trying hard to do so. It was simple really, all she needed to do was smash a few of the blueberries that were in her possession into jam that could possibly give a health bonus to the users. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case as after she pounded the berries into said substance, the interface declared it a failure and it wasn't a valid material. Great. Not only had she failed at making a simple food, she lost two valuable materials that could have been used somewhere else.

  16. It was clear to Kotori where the two other players were respective to where she was. It was simple. The boar had low hp and if she just managed to land a hit, Teayre would have the chance to finish it off. No point in making a fool out of herself in this attack, she would need to do how she originally figured it out. She dashed at the animal with her dagger glowing radiantly. Her eyes were focused on the left part of the stomach, the area where she actually land a hit for once. Finally, she made her move. She stabbed inwards and let the weapon do the work. After landing a critical on the beast, she went to the two of them's side. "Teayre, finish it off. Its weakened."

  17. Kotori slightly giggled at Oikawa's answer although she didn't do it in a good way. It was her way of saying that she didn't believe a word he said. "Liar. The first thing I did when I saw you looking at me was make sure I wasn't in your line sight, but seems to me I made that all too common mistake of not getting up and leaving. Really? What was the first thing you thought? Pretty sure I saw a couple of people around me alone, but no, I was special in some way? You know what I hate? People who do the nicest things for no reason. Know why? Because they are the people who screw you over when you least need it. I've noticed every single blush, side comment and eye movement you've made while I have been with you. I noticed everything too when I met Teayre and those other players. That day, where you "taught" me how to fight? It was all a lie. I was seeing how far you would go just to be nice to me. It didn't dawn to you that for somebody who never used a weapon in their life was able to throw a dagger and catch that midair? Were you that ignorant? Were you that focused on becoming my friend? That focused to make a fool of myself and make me f****** believe that it was all my fault, that I was to blame! NO! You want to know what's really bugging me? The fact that ever since Calrex woke me up on that stupid bench, I've been acting to make sure I don't get abandoned and deserted like the last freaking time I did! Had I gone on any longer with this, I would have really found out the meaning of desertion!" She finished talking. She just couldn't take this madness that was infesting her brain any longer, the tell-tales signs of paranoia like the irises of her eyes shaking back and forth wildly and Kotori's body shivering even with the lack of any temperature on the floor. Instead of waiting for Oikawa's reply, she dash off to the farthest place she could. The cliffs. Maybe he even wouldn't dare to go out that far with night setting in soon.

  18. It was tiring. Kotori couldn't go on any longer with this facade and she just couldn't like any longer. No point to drag this out into a huge problem that would cause bad tensions between people although she honestly couldn't care about that at the moment. She needed to ask a question though, it was a small one that was going to pretense what she was going to explain. "What I want to know is why you decided to sit at that booth that day.. Why did you? You came there not for me, of course, but something else. What would make a person like you go near me?" She needed to know once and for all what he was really trying to do and whether or not it would involve her.

  19. "I even fooled myself... Heh. So much for that. I'm just tired now." Kotori thought as she found herself following a certain boy. This morning she thought she would be able to escape the rest of society. For the lack of a better reason, she decided to lash out at X for annoying her, but by using the excuse of him bothering Oikawa. He just was a complete idiot and had the girl and the blonde hadn't found themselves in this same location, either her or X was going to wind up dead. It was preferably him simply because a lot of people wouldn't care if he passed on. It also seemed that her "reaction" was working a bit too well because Oikawa decided to reach for her hand, something that was a bit too far for her likes. Awkwardly she put her hand to the side, trying to seem as if she wasn't ready for it when in actuality, it didn't feel right for anybody to touch her. She only was able to allow it to keep her act up although she made a habit of wiping the area touched with an object in the game.

What bothered Kotori was how unobservant everyone was as to each other. From the very beginning, she knew X was trying to start something, but she continued on only since he had decided to "escort" her to the safe zone which she wasn't going to be heading anytime soon. The only place he was going to escort anyone was himself and that was to hell. It was necessary to get her rage out but in way that it didn't seem out of character for her. Hikoru was nervous for honestly nothing, was prone to anxiety attacks and seemed to be happy in the weirdest moments which could tell her that he suffered from some type of depression and bipolar disorder. Oikawa... well she couldn't conceive of a world where people would be calmed down by hugs. His overall calmness creeped her out immensely, almost to the point where it seemed the events conspiring weren't affecting save for him trying to protect her for no reason in particular. She could handle on her own just fine, she wasn't just some brainless idiot who needed someone to help her. He needed to wake up and smell the flowers because nobody else was going to that for him.. She felt so suspicious and annoyed. that she couldn't wait to find an inn and get away from everyone in the current vicinity. There was no excuse for anybody's action. Kiru seemed to be the only genuine person or sane person around, how uncaring she was to everyone and wary of the others action was something that Kotori would love to be able to do, but she was just tied down by other things. It was time to end this weary day and end this fake side of her. It needed to end.

  20. Finally. Kotori had become a cook and was able to finally own her very own shop. It was so dainty although a bit small for a building on this floor. It was nice to have a place to be alone and not have to be suspicious of others every waking moment. It was a bit chilly and the only light source came from a lantern on the west wall. This place was where she could know that nothing bad was happening and that she could take a rest without having to worry about people waking her up. Nevertheless, it was time to start making her goods. Hopefully she could have some beginner's luck and actually create an item that would give buffs to players when eaten. That was the problem however. She wasn't sure how to make a food that would have enchancements so she had to settle for a regular food.Oddly there was a recipe for bread that invovled simply baking wheat and then bread was formed from the heated plant. Taking the wheat that she had found on her material gathering quest, the girl did as stated as she read from the default recipes printed in the small handbook in the shop. Heating the grass in a small firewood powered oven, the materials formed into a loaf of bread. Nothing else. It was better than nothing at least, so she did this again for the second time in a row. Bread was useful for some purposes, she had heard that good food items with no buffs was actually needed for taming a monster so maybe it would be good for some purpose.

  21. On the outskirts of Urbus lies a small building that to most players, it seems to be just a part of the town's scenery although when the shop is searched for, it breaks out a like a sore spot. It lies on the other side of the town border so that it is accessible to both green and yellow cursor-ed players. Inside the establishment lies a cafe that is simple in its design. A small table with the a leather booth style seat lining the corners and the walls similar to a couch and on the sides touching nothing, a few oak chairs facing said table. The main exhibit however lies on the redwood counter where a raven haired girl sleeps while situated upon a swivel chair, along with a small bell on said counter for the purpose of waking her up from her slumber. This counter exists on the backside of the place. In large print from a sign hanging from the ceiling that states the following words to any customers.

  22. Kotori watched as the two NPCs embraced with no emotion whatsoever, not even smiling slightly. The reunion was just so cheesy and it reminded her that she had a mom once who loved very much from what she had heard. It just reminded her of the growing pain that was blooming inside of her. It would seem that two would disappear after this although her focus was more to what Oikawa was saying. "It was no problem.. I'd uh.. do anytime." she answered before getting up from her seat. She looked at Oikawa, slightly trying to figureout how what he really wanted. It was impossible to figure out however, he never showed any flaws at all. He was too perfect.

  23. A bandit quest. It would be a great place to show off her skills to the rest of the guild as she still hadn't been fully accepted into it. It was nice to be accepted, but her skills were still being doubted all the time. It kept her off kilter although the resignation of a certain guildmate calmed her down a bit. The snow did as well. It was so calming and peaceful, the snowflakes gathering on her and her hair whilst it slowly dangled on her back. This couldn't last forever since the building was coming up really fast and she had to go in. It was still nice while it lasted. Brushing off the white snow off her hair and on her, the girl entered the place where she was supposed to meet, "Drunken Crane Tavern."

She headed towards the counter before being redirected to the left and being told to head the main hall. She entered it and then stopped dead in her tracks before resuming to walk towards the tables meanwhile not making eye contact with anyone. Oikawa was here. Why? It was bad enough that she was having troubles by herself, but now she had to be with him. She had nothing against that, but it was a game-changer now. It seemed there was only one table left with no people so she decided to seat herself there. It would be fine, all she had to do was no make eye contact with anyone. She didn't really do so with him so maybe he would guess she hadn't seen him although she knew better. Hopefully the meeting would start soon.

Checking the room, she saw that Ariel and Oikawa were sitting at the same table and then two other presumed members of the guild were doing so as well at another table. It was an odd arrangement although of course there would be the no shows who weren't going to participate at all. That would need some careful strategy to work out considering the size of the bandit groups that roamed around although they could still make it work if they tried and if she tried as well.

  24. Kotori stood still for moments. That was the final straw to set her off which was something that rarely ever happened although when she did go out on a full-out rage, it wasn't good for Kotori nor the receiver. First, the tell-tale sign of anger which started with an eye twitch and than her fingers curling tightly onto the dagger by her side. Step. She dashed at the older woman before spinning herself to face her. "HOW ABOUT YOU STAY QUIET YOU DRUNK PIECE OF S***! I MAY LOOK LIKE A WUSS, BUT I STING LIKE A B****! THERE'S A F****** REASON WHY I WANTED TO BECOME A DAMAGE DEALER AND THAT'S TO MAKE PEOPLE LIKE YOU F*** OFF!" The girl yelled before storming off towards the directions of all the mobs. She knew that she couldn't attack Azazel, but she could at least take it out on any mobs she would encounter. At this moment, the brunette was so livid that she just wanted to kill anyone in a mile radius.

  25. Kotori gave a light sigh as she found herself nowhere near Oikawa. She couldn't keep on lying anymore without just spitting it out in his face. He couldn't tell she was picking up on every single mumble and side comment he had made while she was with him. Something seemed a bit off although she couldn't tell for sure. Kotori had needed to keep her guard up ever since a certain incident on floor four and just how everyone was reacting to her was unnatural as well. No matter. All she had to was keep her guard up and then she would be fine in general. One thing was for sure. The brunette was really good at fooling herself as well as others.

Kotori found the mother sitting down at the bench with a dead look in her eyes. It was fake of course, she didn't really have emotions. She walked over to the NPC and sat down next to her, awaiting for Oikawa to show up with the kid and finally end the quest.
