Nothing? That was what she was wearing on the armour front. The young woman could not help but feel mildly inadequate. Even so, she was no tank. Thorry could deal a decent amount of damage to any monster looking for a fight with the right sword art. Feeling the need to prove her worth a little, the alchemist rounded agressively on Avalanxhe, giving the ice beast a nasty slash with her sword.

"Yeah it's been a pretty long bloody time! I didn't recognise you with all that fancy ass new armour!" Thorrissia exclaimed in surprise, now feeling considerably safer working side by side with him. It would be good to catch up once they had managed to destroy the freaking frozen yetty. They chat later. The distraction almost resulted in Xion getting whacked. Thorrissia didn't waste the opportunity. When the monster was distracted the brunette went straight in for the kill, slashing it viciously up the side with one of her more powerful sword arts. Avalanche roared in fury as she retreated back to safety, away from it's reach.

Thorrissia dashed towards her target, arm raised high, ready to completely slice the monster with her sword, when suddenly... "Xion!" The name just popped into her head. The young warrior found herself so surprised that her hit on the great ice beast fell entirely short of the mark. "It's me, Thorrissia!" Sure it had been a hell of a long time, but it was most definitely him! It had been near impossible to recognise him with all the impressive armour. Thorry backed away from Avalanche, looking curiously over Xion's features just in case she'd been mistaken. But no, it was definitely him.

Thorrissia's work space was covered in cobwebs. She hadn't made anything in an absolute age, and she had a nagging suspicion that her alchemy skills might be a tad rusty. The young brunette brought out her battered cauldron and bashed it onto a cluttered desk, firing up her slightly unreliable bunson burner and chucking in her materials. Soon a brew was sizzling, surprisingly without exploding, upon the wooden bench. To her greatest surprise, she actually managed to brew a successful health potion!

Thorrissia made her way back to the city without finding anything else. As she walked through the gates of the starting city, the young woman vaguely reminisced over the first day that they'd all arrived here, and how much had changed since they'd been trapped. It may be a beautiful prison they were in, but it was still a prison, and it didn't make anything any less confined. She would try harder to actually level herself and fight on the front lines, because that was the only way they were going to get home. The brunette wondered sleepily into the telportation gate.  "Teleport floor seven!

Now seemed a very good time to call it a day and give up searching, so that was what she did. After hunting around the walls for a good ten minutes or so, Thorrissia still hadn't found anything. She was extremely tired and there was really no point in sticking around any longer. The young woman began to head back wearily towards the city entrance, not feeling at a total loss. A low amount of materials collected would still be enough to keep her going for the next few days.

Thorrissia decided to scout around the starting city walls just in case she could find something somebody else had missed before returning home, but there really was nothing here. The entirety of floor one had been plucked clean it seemed. There must have been a large gathering party out earlier or something because it wasn't usually this hard for her to find things, even if other players had been out hunting and foraging like herself.

The buildings were starting to grow in size now. The finer details of the starting city were coming more and more into focus. Within about twenty minutes Thorry would be back at her shop on floor seven and she could get some sleep. "What I wouldn't do for a nap." She mumbled to herself with a slight yawn. The young alchemist scanned lazily around for any near by materials as she went, just in case, but there really didn't seem to be any sign of anything else around here.

The vast expanse of the starting city was beginning to show upon the horizon now, to Thorrissia's great relief. She could see the buildings poking out over the sky line in the fading sun set. It wouldn't be long until she could go home and have an extremely long nap. There didn't seem to be any more materials to gather here anyway and she could always try again tomorrow if necessary. Material gathering reset after every day anyway.

There was no sign of any wolves wondering around, or boars. Thorrissia might have relished in the fight earlier on, but she'd grown tired now, and was almost glad that some guild or solo player had cleared out the fields of monsters. I'm so ready to go home now though. Unfortunately, affording a teleport crystal wasn't exactly something within her price range at the moment. Or at least, she wasn't willing to spend every last col she had on one. That meant walking all the way back to the teleport gate for floor one, but it saved money that was for sure. Anyway there was no harm in a little exercise.

Now that she'd managed to pick up at least a few decent materials, Thorrissia was feeling slightly less miserable. Although it hadn't been the most productive of trips so far, she'd managed to pick up some stuff. It should last her at least a couple of days, if not a little more. Sure, she'd have to go back out and hunt for more materials again later, but for the moment she was doing alright. There didn't seem to be much else for her to find out in the grasslands, but then again Thorry was paying less attention on looking and more on getting home now. She'd taken to sleeping in her shop lately. It was much less expensive than staying in the inns.

It quickly came to Thorrissia's attention that there was another item sticking out from underneath where the metal had been. A small shiny white pebble was glowing profusely from the hole that had now been left in the ground. Thorry knew what that was! Moonstone! She'd used to before in some of her more successful, but... questionable substances that had been cooked up in her alchemy shop. The brunette grinned wickedly to herself, grabbing the stone and inspecting it with interest. Yep it was a good one. She put it into her inventory with the other materials and went on her way once again.

Not far from where she'd found the flower, another large rusty clump of iron ore was jutting out quite obviously from the ground. Thorrissia rushed towards the metal and began to heave it out of the mud. It took a few good hefty pulls but the ore finally came loose. She'd pulled at it with such force that when the ore popped out, Thorry was sent flying backwards, landing with a nasty thunk on her back. Thorry was too pleased at having found an extra material though to be truly annoyed about the impact. Maybe her trip out here hadn't been a completely loss after all.

Thorrissia left the trees spanning far behind, half considering finding whoever had collected all the mats and duelling them for their efforts. In all fairness though she would have done the same, clearing everything out, so there was no point feeling bitter about it. After all she'd managed to pick up a few things anyway. The brunette sighed sleepily and began to make her way back in the direction of the Starting City. It was going to be an awfully long walk. She hadn't gotten particularly far though when, to her great delight, another "Pretty Flower" could been seen waving gracefully in a near by bramble patch. Thorry quickly snatched it away before anyone else would get a chance to find it.

Still nothing. It appeared that the woodlands here had decided to relinquish all that they had to offer. Feeling extremely disappointed, Thorrissia began to make her way back through the fading light, equipping her sword just in case any unfriendly animals decided to come over to say hello. But the forest was empty. Empty of monsters, empty of materials. The young alchemist wondered curiously if somebody else had come by and cleared everything out a couple of hours ago. That would explain the total lack of mats.

It seemed that apart from that one egg the entire forest was completely barren! The young woman found herself growing increasingly frustrated as she scoured meticulously through the empty woodlands for the faintest sign of a useable material. There was quite literally nothing here. It was starting to get later in the evening now and the temperatures were starting to drop a little. Thorrissia shuddered from the faintest traces of the cold, and equipped her cloak, burying herself comfortingly in its warmth.

Thorrissia jumped down from the lower branches of the tree, landing with a small thud onto the soft grass below, feeling rather pleased for herself for being innovative enough to find the egg. After picking that up though, there really didn't seem to be that much else around. There was nothing around the tree bases or in the grass. She couldn't even find any more nests to steal from. Thorrissia decided to abandon this part of the woodlands. It was quite clearly empty.

The thick tangle of tree branches had now crept completely over Thorrissia's line of sight. The leafy canopy was offering an extremely comfortable shade and she found herself enjoying the view. The young woman strolled quite happily into the woodlands, feeling rather content. She had not been in the woodland long when her curiosity was twigged. Thorry spotted a large messy scraggly of twigs poking out of the branches of a nearby tree. A nest. And a nest usually means eggs. She darted excitedly over to the sturdy wooden structure and eagerly began to climb, hoisting herself agilely into the higher branches. Sure enough, there was a prize waiting for her at the top. A large pale speckled egg was lying invitingly in the centre of the nest. The alchemist snatched the item out of its home, inspecting it. "Sparrow egg? Hmm that could come in useful." She shrugged, storing it in her inventory.

It appeared that her luck had run dry once again. After retrieving the flower she'd had no further success gathering any new stuff. The trees were starting to become a little less sparse, appearing in small clumps of shady vegetation. She was vaguely nearing Horunka village now. Thorrissia recognised the beginnings of the village woodland. This perked up her mood a little, as she'd often had better luck finding things in the thicker woodland areas than out in the grasslands. Hopefully there would be some mats to pick up in there.

No sooner had she picked up one material, Thorrissia was lucky enough to run into another one. A rather large, pretty looking flower with long colourful plooms flowing down towards the ground was peeking invitingly out of a nearby pansy patch. The alchemist started excitedly towards it, interested as to what the flower might be. The item was labelled as "Pretty flower." Thorry frowned. Really? That's the best they could come up with? Pretty f*****g flower? Geez. She snorted at the complete lack of imagination that had gone into naming it and plopped the material into her inventory.

After thinking that her luck may have possibly run out after the first find, Thorrissia considered turning back and calling it a day. But I'm insanely low on materials. If I don't keep looking I'm not going to have anywhere near enough. She sighed wearily, trudging onwards through the  plains. After a few seconds, her foot hit something hard, making a loud clunk. The girl kneeled down curiously to inspect what she'd hit. A small item named "rock" was lying right underneath her foot. Not exactly the most ideal material to use in alchemy, but hey she wasn't complaining. At the moment she'd be happy finding anything really.

The young woman found herself wondering across the barren grasslands of floor one. There was truly nothing quite so beautiful as all the scenery here. Thorry found herself mesmerised by the incredible details in the way the grass seemed to sway in the gentle breeze, wondering how on earth the coders had managed to recreate such sensations. There are much worse places to be trapped. She thought to herself as she hunted for more materials. But despite being beautiful, it appeared that there was nothing really out here...

[On the concept of Sword Arts, I'm still a little uncertain. I'm not sure whether you have to like, build up to using the higher up ones within your skill rank, so like if I've done this wrong then I'll edit it. ]

Thorrissia didn't hesitate. As soon as the monster keeled over, it's icy form crashing into the ground, she charged out from behind her human shield. A familiar power surge burned through Thorry's hand as she drew Volundreasia back, allowing the sword art to take control of her weapon. The young brunette ploughed into Avalanche's helpless form, slashing her weapon in a vicious v shape across the creature, dealing it a pretty decent amount of damage. "Take that you overgrown ice sculpture!" She growled, retreating quickly away from the monster. There really was something familiar about this player Thorry was with though... she could have sworn she knew that voice.

Thorrissia spent the next twenty minutes or so foraging curiously around where she'd picked up the iron, hoping to find out if there would be any more of it. It came in quite useful when creating her potions so it would be nice if she could pick up some more. Apparently though, the iron ore was in short supply in this region of floor one as she was unable to find any more. Thorry left the area feeling ever so slightly disappointed.
