Thorrissia

Thorrissia was barely aware of an intense burning sensation inflaming the entirety of her skin, lighting it up like a furnace, but she was unable to move. The girl's limbs were almost frozen in place from cold. What, what's happening? Her mind was completely foggy and it was impossible to think, everything was a complete blur. Eventually a haze of fuzzy images and colours began to blur slowly back into focus, and the young and rather befuddled brunette began to drift slowly back into a conscious state. When everything was finally into focus once more, Thorry found herself rather confused. The sensation of fingers digging into the flesh of her arm was the first thing that kicked her into action. "F***!" She growled in surprise, sweeping her legs out with immense speed in an attempt to incapacitate her so called attack. Had the girl been at full strength, the kick would have swept her unsuspecting rescuer off his feet, but luckily she was not, and the blow did nothing but probably cause him some surprise at her sudden regaining of consciousness. "Unhand me this instant!" Thorrissia ordered with a surprising amount of aggression and authority for a sixteen year old girl. 

I seriously need something to do, I'm bored. The young brunette complained internally as she haunted the empty streets of floor one. A few NPCs wondered aimlessly through the Starter City, but the girl hardly counted them as actual people. That's when an idea popped into her head. Thorry's boyfriend had stationed his shop out here. May as well go and pop in and say hi. She'd lived in there with him at one point so she knew where to go. It seemed that there were other people with a similar idea to herself however. "Not interrupting anything am I?" The brunette asked curiously.

It was depressing that Jevi, who had considerably less combat experience than herself, was managing to be able to hit this thing, but Thorry herself was continuously missing the target. Once again Volundraesia fell short of the mark as the huge twisting serpent coiled out of the way of the young warriors reach. Dammit this is starting to get pathetic! Not to mention that her purple haired companion now had more hate than herself, which meant the giant sea creature was going to attack Jevi instead of herself. Thorrissia cursed as the massive snake attempted to take a hit at the young woman, but it appeared that Jevi was too quick for it. That was good at least.

Thorrissia frowned in confusion when Golden said she'd invested in invasion. "No I haven't. My cloak has an enhancement, so our skills will be evenly matched. Until I actually invest in evasion and then you're screwed." The brunette explained, her focus lost in trying to talk to him. Once again Golden managed to get a hit on her. How frustrating! Thorry grimaced in irritation and attempted to swat at him with Volundraesia, only to fall short of the mark. "Would it be too much to ask for you to stand still for a couple of seconds?" 

Thorrissia shrugged with casual agreement when Xion made claim to any armour. "Yeah sure that's fine with me. Armour away. Lets split any col or materials equally though." The girl added quickly as she began to walk briskly back towards the base of Florenthia Village. She was in need of some materials for her shop, and whilst Xion probably was as well, she'd prefer to share that out equally if they could.

Today was not a good day for crafting. Twice Thorrissia attempted to concoct something wonderful in her cauldron but twice it ended up in an exceptionally large explosion, making her extremely displeased with how things turned out. I really need to get better at this.

LD: 19 - materials salvaged 

And so, time to get back to work at brewing up some completely wicked potions. Thorrissia grabbed hold of a couple of materials and dumped one of them into the cauldron and began brewing but something was clearly going wrong. The potion was starting to emit a nasty smell so before it blew sky high the brunette turned of the bunsen and put the material away.

Thorrissia hadn't given up hope for the day though. With her remaining mat Thorrissia cranked up the heat of her flames and started to brew, but it seemed that an explosion was destined to happen to day. The infuriated alchemist dumped the soot over the balcony and onto the floor below.

"That's going to be a grand total of 250 Col sir. Enjoy your non alcoholic beverage." Thorrissia grinned deviously, feeling pretty proud of the sales she was making here. "I'm going to bribe our way out of this game. I'll offer Kayaba so much Col he'll be like yeah lets terminate this rubbish." The brunette shrugged, leaning up against one of her work desks. 

"Well if you test it you gotta buy it." Thorry frowned as Xion poured a drop of the liquid onto his tongue. "None yet. He's already bought some so he can spike his own." The brunette snickered deviously, quite glad this little creation seemed to be picking up popularity. I'm gunna be rich I'm gunna be rich. The girl grinned, feeling rather pleased with herself. 

"Hmmm, I don't know about alcohol, you'd have to go to a chef to get hold of something like that I think." She replied thoughtfully, thinking of any replacement supplements she might have in her possession. "I've got some moonshine in stock, it basically does the same thing and tastes way less disgusting. Whattya think?" Thorry grinned, showing Xion a small vile containing a delightful sky blue elixir. "Want to try it out?" 

As Thorrissia went to clean away the total mess she'd made with yet another alchemical bomb gone bad, the girl was distracted by a voice. Xion. She realised, rushing out of the brewing parlour of upstairs to find him making a running commentary on her shop. "Breaking Bad was a TV series Xion." She corrected cheerily, half hopping half walking down the metal stair case and landing with a bump right in front of the blonde haired boy. "What can I help you with?"

Well, it seemed like it was time for Thorrissia to experiment a little more. She'd already created moonshine, so time to try something new! The aspiring alchemist dumped a material into her cauldron and cranked up the heat, feeling rather exciting as a bubbling orange liquid began to simmer there. She'd successfully created a brand new potion! Bubbleshock, that's what she'd name it.

Seeing as there was now a brand new item to bless the shelved, it was time to try and replicate it. Unfortunately when Thorrissia left the cauldron to bubble whilst stocking the new item on the shelves... there was a large explosion from upstairs signalling the end of the new concoction...

"Humph. Too right I would be. I've ordered a couple of things from Hasai and Lessa so hopefully they'll come through." Thorrissia explained, once again dodging the tip of Golden's rapier by ducking speedily out of the way and appearing randomly to the side of him. "Over here!" She grinned teasingly, attempting to jab him in the legs with Volundraesia, but unfortunately it seemed his footwork was a little more up to scratch and Golden once again managed to move out of the way. "How about we go head to head without any items after this apart from our weapons? I'd like to see how I fare against you in an even fight."

"Nice save." Thorry grinned as Jevi managed to roll out of the way like that. "We may make a speed master of you yet." She laughed with a positive tone, rather pleased that she'd gotten a decent battle partner. The brunette refocussed her attention on the serpent. One more hit and I got this. She reminded herself, thinking of a plan. If she could stand right on the shore, the serpent would make a go for her and then she could get a hit at it. Thorrissia jogged lightly over to the water shore and just stood there, waiting for the monster to take a hit at her. It probably looked ever so slightly suicidal but, she just hoped it was the right move. Mr scales certainly didn't leave anyone hanging that was for sure. The giant snake burst from the surface of the lake with a furious hiss, attempting to gobble her up, but the girl moved with almost wraith like speed out of the way and attempted to slash Volundraesia across the monsters nose. Unfortunately her strike missed by inches. "Damn so close. Ok, Jevi switch in!"

Thorrissia grinned proudly when Xion said he appreciated her bulls**t. That was good, because she also appreciated it. When he asked where they should look... "I don't know exactly. Give me a minute to think of a logical searching place." Thorry replied, narrowing her eyes in concentration. What would be a good place to search for treasure? Hmmm. "I've got an idea. Underneath Florenthia Village. There's got to be some tunnels underneath the trees. If we go back and take a look around, I'm pretty sure we might come across something interesting."

"Humph. Not bad." Thorrissia shrugged as Golden actually started to pick up a little speed. But her impressed expression turned into an extremely irritated one at the statement Not so lucky this time. "That wasn't luck and you know it!" The brunette complained, grumping furiously at him. "If our armour was evenly matched we'd be equal in ability and I'd kick your ass from here to hell!" She growled, attempting to stab him, but failing. Her frustration was stopping her from preforming as well now. Sometimes he can be so infuriating!

Deep in the wintry woodlands spreading outside of Snowfrost Town, a shivering figure trudged miserably through the bitter winds, her teeth chattering as the fierce combination of spitting ice shards and blustering blizzards threatened to blow her away into the unknown. The very bedraggled looking girl reached to wrap her thick crimson cloak further around her freezing form with a small, almost blue tinged hand. "Gah!" She cried in outrage as the powerful icy air pockets once again blew her hood back off her face, delivering a blast of watery wet snowflakes right into her already cold burned cheeks. Thorrissia really had picked the absolute worse time to go material hunting for her alchemy shop. Like an idiot, she'd assumed that floor four would have been a perfect place to look and she'd been caught in a blizzard and almost frozen to death.

"Thank god!" The girl murmured weakly as she began to stumble through the fringe line of trees, signalling the edge of the forest at last. Thorry planted her hand against the frost covered bark of a nearby tree for support for a moment and drew in a few deep breaths before starting to attempt the unsheltered walk back into the safety of town. This trek was even worse than braving the woodlands as there were no trees now to stop the winds from buffeting her mercilessly and the poor young warrior was already half dead, her HP being stolen by the minute by the harsh weather. Eventually the extremely dishevelled looking brunette wobbled unstably over the town line, the explosive blizzards turning into a light snowfall. If I can only get to our guilds inn then maybe I can make it. She  thought desperately, starting to half walk/half drag herself in the general direction, but exhaustion was starting to kick in and her muscles kept getting heavier and heavier by the minute. Please let me make it. Thorry prayed weakly, hoping somebody up there might be listening. She didn't care who at this point.

But fate had other ideas. The alchemist, now close to death, turned the corner to find a dark haired fellow simply enjoying the snow. "Help." Thorrissia muttered weakly before collapsing in the middle of the street as the snow continued to land lightly upon her unconscious body. It seemed that Snowfrost Town was almost trying to hide her, to keep help from arriving.

Seeing as her latest concoction had proven to be such a success, Thorrissia went straight back to work in trying to recreate it. However it proved her moment of mastery had been a bit of a fluke, as for the second time in her career the contents of the young alchemist's cauldron exploded, covering her rather surprised expression in soot.

Seeing as she had one last final attempt creating the potion for the day, the brunette recollected her thoughts and set to work again, smearing off the majority of the soot from her cheeks. This time, the liquid in her cauldron began to bubble a pale shade of blue, bringing a devious grin to her lips. Yes! It had been successful! She'd managed to successfully recreate moonshine! 

Thorrissia was very pleased to see that her very first customer was in fact Golden! The brunette scrambled hastily down the stairs, feeling exceptionally pleased with herself and went up to greet her beloved with a very satisfied smile, which quickly turned into a devious one when Golden mentioned her 'items' "Yep! That's the idea. See, I'm going to be so rich and it'll be great! We could buy out the whole game. You can test run my happiness potion it's never been tried before." She explained very cheerily as if the fact her boyfriend had just bought an untested and possibly lethal substance had gone completely over her head, which it had. "Thanks for your business." Thorry winked.

Thorrissia was on a roll! Whenever Golden tried to strike at her, she just dodged nimbly out of the way like a graceful doe, proving that her skill was in fact dodging. Once she managed to invest in Acrobatics and Precision, Thorry figured she'd be more of a force to be reckoned with. "Luck likes me best. I'm luck's favourite." The brunette responded with a slight grin, shuffling around him once again. This time however, Golden was too fast for her. "Well well, it appears the self proclaimed tank has managed to pick up some speed for a change." She laughed deviously, moving into a position to strike once more.

Well, there was no point in giving up at the first hurdle so Thorrissia got to work in scrubbing out her cauldron and began to start again. This time she was a little more careful with the amount of heat she was using, and soon enough to her great delight the potion began to simmer, but not stink. In fact, a rather pleasant aroma began to rise from the surface. Awesome! The brunette grinned with an almost mad scientist like grin as she transferred the potion into a vile. It was a sky blue colour and smelled somewhat intoxicating. That's going straight on the shelves.

Thorrissia had officially moved out of Golden's shop and into her own now, nestled away in a not particularly good location to bring in customers, but still, there was no reason why she couldn't actually try out making some stuff. The brunette lit a fire underneath her cauldron and began to get busy, trying her best not to explode anything on this occasion. Unfortunately the potion began to steam and a very bad smell like rotten eggs began to emerge from it. "Ugh! Yuck!" Thorry growled in disgust, quickly dumping the disaster out of the window. A few unlucky plants turned to ash under its touch. Well that went well.

Whilst basically useless in battles, Thorrissia cooks up some exceptionally unusual potions to help... soothe the nerves.
