  1. "It makes us what we need to be and to be able to survive, I suppose. Its not that I fear death as well, that I just have too much to look forward still with my family. I don't know if you have anyone waiting for you back home, but as I told you..My family means everything to me and so does surviving this Hell. So I can't die here, and i won't die here, its as simple as that." Lindow took another helping from the keg filling his mug with the brew. His eyes traversed the shop, "Perhaps its a good thing it dulls our senses, when we fight enemies there is only slight pulses our bodies feel until we are in critical condition. Every now and then there is a dull pain in my shoulder though, that's from a physical injury and my brain telling me that I am still alive here. Pain can be good, so long as I am not on the floor losing a leg or something." He took a gulp of his beverage once more.

  2. Lindow looked over his shoulder for a brief moment towards Hirru, he seemed to be doing well back there wich was not the case with Lindow as his clumsy greatsword swung several times with a miss. Frustration was clearly showing up on the otherwise stoic expression of the Crimson Blade member. Cold eyes looked towards his foe, with both hands and digits wrapped tightly around the massive hilt of his monstrous blade, Lindow took a step forward. There was such a force from his attack that it disintegrated the crystal fiend but not before it had the chance to counterattack by tossing its spear right at the warrior. Lindow grimaced as the spear flew by his cheek lightly cutting it, but enough to drop his HP. Lindow hefted his heavy blade to one shoulder and swung his body around, "Then there was one...Having too much fun without me, Hirru. That won't do at all..."

  3. Lindow was rounding the corner when he heard some noise coming from within the forger's tent. Mack was well known for his weapons, a lot of player's have been coming to him lately and thanks to Beor showing him the superb craftsmanship of his blades Lindow figured it was time to get some armor that would be better than what he had in place. Poking his head inside, there was already a lively bunch of players inside. It was a massive tent with display cases left and right showing off all the smith had made in his time here.

Lindow walked quickly into the forger's tent, the round mass of what appeared to be his familiar was bouncing left and right excited by all the players coming in and out. He was like a rabunctious puppy, do doubt the smell of fish was all over the Two Handed Swordsman as he walked in, that meant food...fish was food right? Of course it was. The large bear of a familiar came towards him, "Wooa...steady...boy? Hey..! Back!...Back! Sit!" it finally sat but had hungry eyes...was it going to eat him...He slowly moved towards the main counter, Mack was helping the others and Lindow didn't wanna disturb him much. He was just passing by to give him the mats for the deal they had struck prior. On the counter, Lindow dropped down Six Mats. He didn't say any other words and just nodded to his Guild Leader and resumed on his way...forking over a fish he had in his inventory for the mass of fur and muscle.

  4. "I like to think of myself as a sturdy individual, it takes a lot to put me in a great deal of pain. As I get older though, the body starts to break down. But I do what I can to stay healthy. I've been shot at a few times, I had a serious shoulder wound a few years ago. That stuff, it never really heals, the scar tissue doesn't strengthen the muscle. I don't think I have had close calls to being injured, but I have had close calls in the field on raids and barricade missions for the SWAT. Bullets fly, and you just home your kevlar holds up. But other than my shoulder, nothing that would make me lash out and intentionally harm people. I have what it takes to take human life, but it's always a life or death situation. Mine or theirs and the safety of my comrades. I won't hesitate to shoot first if it comes down to it...But I have killed men, there is nothing glorious about that. It doesn't make you a hero, what is left with you is the haunting expression that seems to burn in your memory each passing day. It's not really a subject I talk about often, I am sure as you know...in the life of work we do, death is inevitable. Same can be said here...I won't take someone's life if I can find a way to subdue them...but if it comes down to it..."

Lindow looked down at his hands, and shook his head, it wasn't a road he wanted to walk down...But this guild would be doing dangerous things as well as keeping the peace in the city or at least trying to. And sometimes there will be player's that will try to rattle you, become aggressive...Lindow looked up at his comrade and nodded, "I guess time will tell if that ever happens. You won't have to worry about me, I know what needs to be done if it needs to be done."

  5. Lindow rested the sword over his shoulder, no skill activation this time as he was whacking away at the air keeping the Crystal Fiend as far away as he could from Hirru while he was launching his attacks. The sound of battle came from behind him, and rock rattling cry from the mob as it was attacked by what sounded like a vicious assault by the green haired warrior. Lindow smiled, Hirru was putting up a great fight behind him, Lindow on the other hand...

    Whoosh Whoosh

His clumsy blade swung left and right hitting the air and causing the crystal golem to back away from his massive blade. It hopped up and down on its feet attempting to get its own attack in but the lengthy blade kept it at bay. Lindow slammed the blade down into the ground as the Ore Eater seemed to move left and right stammering out some sort of nonsense in its own language, "I think I am pissing it off...but I'm ok back here...still an even fight. Damn it, I should have been able to make a Hit by now...damn slippery foe..." Lindow's inward thoughts reflected more on his verbal ones, but at least he wasn't taking any damage in the process. Living was the number one priority.

  6. Lindow...was quite surprised, he in fact did not know Beor had such a side. That was relevant to know for future events, that this guy sitting across from him can simply go at whim. Lindow leaned back in his chair, he supposed that almost anyone who is backed into a corner can be set off and their primal instincts will start to show rather quickly. As he watched the mannerism of his comrade, Lindow knew there was something more to this guy than he was letting out, but it wasn't the place. To see him in combat would make more sense. To shut off your feelings...He heard of people doing this, especially military types. Having no emotion, even suppressing rage and happiness...Lindow thought it was unhealthy, expressing your rage in non physical ways so as to not keep it bottled up. But these military guys, they were a breed  apart from normal men like Lindow. Sure, he had training, but this...this was something else.

"What makes me go berserk? Fortunately not too much. If any person of my family is in danger, I act without remorse, I can't and I don't care what side of myself is shown in that outcome. I have been blessed with the fact the no one in the SF area has ever attempted to blackmail me or to take revenge on me through the means of my family. Now, this has happened when I was a normal Beat Cop. A raid was going down and my partner was killed. He was a cocky fool, but it was a disaster from the get-go. We were supposed to just stay watch outside, but he wanted to be the hero...next thing I remember...He was on the floor covered in blood, and his blood was all over my hands. I don't know if I blacked out, or I supressed the memories of what actually went down. But I ended up killing someone that day. Not being able to control the situation, the feeling of helplessness, that gets me mad...But I don't know what happens or what sets off my berserk side. I hope I never have to as well. I'll do anything for my family though, anything, so long as they are safe." Lindow took a healthy gulp from his mug, the bitter taste remained in his mouth for awhile as he replayed those scenes in the back of his mind.

  7. Lindow walked with heavy steps, the new armor which was crafted by the Blacksmith Mack, also Guild Leader of the Crimson Blades was greeted by the sun, and gleaned from the rays as the polished steel covered a good portion of his body. Lindow's thick armor plating made him move a bit more slowly and lugging around a giant greatsword didn't help his mobility at all either. However, with the special enhancements added onto the armor itself Lindow would be a force to be reckoned with as each miss would cause additional damage upon a successful strike. Lindow took a step forward, the snow falling from above landed on his armor as he brushed it off with gloved hands. Mack seemed to be the only one at the meet up point, Lindow was normally early for such meetings just to make sure of his equipment.

"Mornin'." a voice shot towards Mach, as Lindow stood face to face with him. Lindow was probably a few inches taller, but Mack was entirely made of much more muscle than he could put on his own body. Perhaps if he trained more when he was a younger guy, he would have those hulking arms too, "looks like the others haven't arrived yet. I guess I can just take their share of the loot..." Lindow smiled and scratched his beard, he didn't have a lot of one on one time with Mack, not that he was intimidating but there was that aura about him that Lindow didn't know how to quite describe. He was a military man after all...the two handed swordsman folded his arms and waited for the others.

  8. Lindow cursed lightly under his breath, he should have kept a better watch of the rogue one entering the battle. Hefting the massive Hard Edge over his shoulder, he jumped and landed in between the two Crystal Fiends, but when he came down, his sword unfurled from his shoulder and did a sweeping motion. Dust and debris shot up into the air at both the enemies, it didn't do much but it did separate them out so that Lindow was now facing the injured creature. It was now a back to back action battle, it was the least he could do for Hirru after taking some spear hits to his HP pool, "Sorry about that, Hirru. I didn't think the other was going to join in so quickly. I got this one covered..."

Lindow took a step forward and gave an intimidating stare at the crystal fiend as he shouldered the greatsword. The Fiend was on his last leg of health points and the two handed swordsman made him back away from Hirru. Sliding one foot forward and getting into stance, he waited for the next attack.

  9. "The more we learn about each other the more we can trust from one another. So you are free to ask any such questions..." Lindow raised his mug to his lips and downed some of the liquid. He smacked his lips from the taste and set his mug down, he wondered what else he could learn from his comrade, there were probably a half a dozen things he could ask. But at the moment, "Ugh...." Lindow was on the fritz, he wasn't sure what to ask Beoreson, their conversation was a mix of personal and in game items, so there was a variety of things they have learned from one another. If there was one thing he had learned, is that he was genuine at heart. He didn't seem to lack emotion, but he was very mellow and care free, relaxed.

Lindow was back in his seat eyeing his drink and then he started to lean forward in his chair, "Alright...What pisses you off, I mean...what really digs deep inside you that sets you off into a carnage? I only ask because I haven't seen a side of you that was angry or irritated which tells me you are a pretty calm and collected person. But there has to be something that sets you off that just makes you go boom?"

  10. Lindow took another heavy gulp from his mug and nodded towards Beor, "I am pretty much the same way. I can be pretty awkward when it comes to conversations. I am an old man compared to the kids that I trained back on the force, so there is a rather large age gap with some of them. I treat them all as family, but there are just some things I have not been able to keep up with in the world. Things change so fast its hard to keep track of everything," he replied about the comment of leadership.

The greyed warrior was and still is in a leadership role as far as he was aware of, well, probably not anymore. By now they probably announced a new Deputy Chief, a new team has been formed. It was somewhat depressing to realize that while he was stuck here the outside world was continuing on. He wondered if his family was still keeping in high spirits with him trapped in this Hell. He took two big mouthfuls of the stout beer and gulped it down one after another. He looked to his comrade and shrugged, "By the time we get out of this game...Our bodies are going to be frail and weak. Who knows what kind of psychological trauma we might end up going through after all this. We'll be subjected to trauma therapy as well as physical therapy. I doubt the lives we left behind will be the same after this...But who knows, perhaps we'll be able to acclimate once more when we get out. It'll be a new world out there for us..."

  11. Another amazing strike by the green top warrior. Hirru seemed to have an abundance of power and his strikes were on cue now two for two. Lindow continued to keep an eye on the one who seemed to be watching from a small distance, he hammered at his chest as he gave a mighty war cry as the other fell from the mighty blade of the sword skill. Taking stance, Lindow removed the sword from his shoulder and switched stances however it was a miscalculated error. As soon as he placed one hand on the hilt, one Crystal Fiend leapt over the other charging in with its spear. Lindow had little time to reflect, with his massive blade towards the ground, he started to twist the hilt of the blade so that the thick broad portion was facing forward and deflected the attack of the incoming lane strike. Unfortunately he was unable to get off an attack from this point and lost his cue to counter.

"Damn...I thought I had that one. Watch out Hirru, he's coming for you next!"

  12. Lindow raised his mug to Beoreson as he did not need the materials for the weapons, all the same Lindow would not have anything made for him without proper service of pay, however the joke at the end made Lindow hard enough he slapped his leg. The resounding laughter echoed off the walls of his shop as he could barely contain himself, "Should I fall in battle with one of your blades, it would not be because of the sword itself, but my own nature. But I really do appreciate it, I got this one..." Lindow sifted through his inventory to his equipped items and lay out on the table the massive Hard Edge, his currently equipped sword, "From a quest...It's better than my starter greatsword by only a point in damage, but I found a similar looking blade in town awhile ago when I was being showed the ropes by my Mentor, Calrex. Have you ever met him? Really good kid, strong too. He'll be in the Front Lines helping with the bosses from what I heard from him, he's a strong warrior. But this is all I have right now...."

Lindow topped his mug off once more, was this his third beer? Egh, it wouldn't hurt to have another cup, besides there was no chance of getting drunk here as he remembered Calrex saying to him, but there was a slight buzz from the effect. Lindow wasn't feeling anything in particular, perhaps he was letting lose a bit more than he normally did, "Actually, I want a variety of blades and I am very simple when it comes to that. A +1 Damage, + 2 Accuracy Two Hander would be nice, and a +3 Keen Two Hander would be equally as nice as well. I'll probably delve into War Hammers later and pick up a shield for some tank ability. I want at least one suit of Heavy Armor and another set for Leather Armor for quick mobility. But I have a long way to go for those things. I have in mind what I want, but for starters that seems to be the way to go. As far as design, I have a few in mind, but I'll probably detail that out to you or whoever smiths the items when the time is right." Another swig of his mug, a full gulp as he cleaned his beard of the excess liquid with his sleeve.

  13. Lindow leaned over the table taking in the intricate designs of both weapons. He was in awe at the pure elegance of the blades. Smithies were artists in their own right, and he marveled at how well made by weapons appeared to be. He sat back down in his chair and drank from his mug once more, "I would appreciate it if you could make me a good two handed sword. The reason I use such large and powerful weapons is because of how it feels in my hands. The weight is a necessity as it keeps me balanced, the size because it helps with a slight reach and because I am pretty tall myself. I need a big sword mainly because, if I used a small sword like the one you use...It would look fairly awkward on me. But each one has their own unique strength, in fact, I wouldn't want anything lighter...To be honest, my Hard Edge could use to gain a few more pounds. The heavier the weapon, the better it feels in my hands. So long as I'm not like dragging it so bad that I can't lift it. Hahaha..."

Lindow did admire the swords that were made by both Smithies, "As soon as I get the materials, I'll have you forge me a two hander and we'll see how that goes. I have been talking with Mack and I have set up a deal with him on getting some Heavy Armor made for me, right now I need to get my defenses bolstered so I can survive abit more in battle. I thank you for the offer on the sword and like I said, as soon as I get the mats I'll be sure to come by and get something ordered. Actually, it's funny that you brought that up. I'll be picking up a secondary weapon skill eventually as well as another set of armor, so there is plenty of business the two of us can have. I like being versatile and keeping my options open."

That was a lot to say, Lindow was becoming a bit more comfortable with Beor, already that bond was cementing.

  14. Lindow followed behind Hirru as he was dragging his sword against the ground, the initial attack by the one handed swordsman had deterred the first <<Crystal Fiend>> the powerful slash combo that was released by Hirru cause the creature to crack and crumble from the powerful blow. Lindow stood on guard looking at the other Fiend making sure it would not make a move while Hirru was dealing with its injured partner. Quickly coming to a stop, Lindow lifted his mighty Hard Edge over his shoulder and took a stance spreading his feet apart. His blade lit up like a burning ember as the metal glowed and pulsed with life. He moved towards the injured <<Crystal Fiend>> adding insult to injury as he jumped up and landed on his feet as his mighty weapon came crashing down into the head of the crystalline figure. The poor wretch seemed to sputter with nonsense as the attack landed and caused the crystals on its body to break off.

Lindow hefted the mighty weapon over one shoulder once more and readied himself for an attack that never came. The Ore Eater seemed dazed and his friend seemed intimidated by their powerful attacks. Lindow slid a foot across the shimmering floor, his breath hot and showing as he nodded to Hirru, "I got your back..."

  15. They traversed the terrain with little to no problems coming up to a wide mouth of a cave. Etched over the mouth was nothing more than brittle rock, a low light traveled inside which looked warm and inviting, but Lindow knew that was half the trap. He shook his head, discarding the falling snow from it as he leaned a bit and took a look inside.

"There are quite a few mining nodes inside as well, but the damn Crystal Fiends like to chow down on those. Between the two of us, I think we can handle maybe two monsters at a time. I have never actually gone past the first section of this cave, so we are in for a little bit of exploration. I'll keep track of which turns we are taking as well so we don't get lost. I rather not spend the night inside of this cave. Alright! Just a heads up if it matters, these Crystal Fiends can come equipped with daggers and spears and they are mischievous. Often in fits of rage they pick up large boulders and toss them at you. The snow wolves are nothing special, bite and claw attacks. I believe that is all I came across in here. Perhaps some other winter denizens we should look out for."

With his sword hilt gripped in his right hand, Lindow produced the monstrous blade with the cut tip. It looked more like a tool for smashing than it was for piercing as it had no point to the sword. He hefted the large object to one shoulder and took the lead. He wondered if he should make some light conversation while they had the chance? He didn't know much about Hirru, but he trusted him enough to have his back.

((IF you wanna set off the first set of monsters, feel free. We can do some exploration as well and try our hand at some non combat gathering))

  16. Lindow nodded, the weight of this sword in the real world would probably be unbearable to the DC due to his shoulder wounds, should he talk about that? Guys talk about scars right? "Yeah this thing is beyond normal means of heaviness, if I didn't have the game assisting me with the swing action of this thing, I would probably have dropped it a number of times when attacking. Clean sweeps to the left and right and cleaving seem to be the best options here for using such a massive blade. Too bad there is no knockback mechanic in the game, the two hander could use something like that due to its sheer size and weight. I have seen some really nifty looking designs out here as well in the shops, I don't see too many two handed sword wielders though. Mostly one handed swords and those fancy curved ones."

This was good, Lindow was learning more about Beor, which was the initial point of this entire get together. There was a solid bond forming between the two men as they talked which in turn would probably help them utilize attack and defense strategies amongst the two of them when the need of battle arrived. His stormy eyes cast down at his empty mug, helping himself out of his chair he turned to the beer keg and topped himself up. The cold refreshing liquid once more met the padded lips of the swordsman as he drunk it down.

  17. Lindow had turned around to see that Hirru had arrived, "Well, I don't know about the others. But I am taking up residence here for the time being. I didn't mean to startle you. Need help getting up?"

The two handed swordsman took a step forward, but Hirru seemed to do just fine on his own getting to his feet. Holding in a laugh, Lindow shook the peppered hair from his head with his hand and then continued on with getting things started. Through his menu he navigated towards the party screen and sent an invite to his partner. With that he seemed prepared and ready to set forth, "Alright so I found a cavern not too far from here that is a good spot to probably get some material hunting in. Fight a few monsters, take in the scenery. We should be done by late afternoon depending on how well things go for us. Should you feel tired or anxious to leave, just let me know."

Lindow touched the hilt of his massive blade briefly making sure everything was in its proper place before looking back at Hirru, "Ready to go, Hirru?" Lindow gestured with his head as they started out of the safety of the city, "Might wanna watch your step here. The thin layer of snow is covering up a massive frozen lake and it gets pretty slippery here. I can't count how often I have fallen and slipped on this thing. I would have broken a hip by now..." he looked back to make sure Hirru was alright and watching his step.

  18. Lindow laughed at the LARP comment, back when he was actually a Beat Cop, he had a call about a few kids with some swords running around the neighborhood, after he was explained what was going on it was only the fact that they were acting out scenes in a scripted playwright. He had to tell them to use fake or prop weapons instead of real steal ones. There was no further problems on that case, but it was a light note added to the conversation and it was a fond memory of one his earlier career cases. He was surprised he even remembered that far back.

"JROTC, that must have been something. So you kept yourself fit then back in the real world. I do the same, work out about five times a week with the two rest days. I still have something of a gut, but that's because of my wife. She is a wonderful cook. Favorite real world weapon? Well, I can't say I am fond of weapons at all. As a Police Officer and now Deputy Chief I say I have very good experience with guns. I taught a few classes about gun safety as well and how to properly use the firearm and when to use it. I would say though, that I do enjoy a good sniping rifle. Its safe and takes patience and concetration. Normally in SWAT we use the MP5, personally I use that and carry a colt revolver with me. I have a number of hunting rifles as well, can't say I have a personal favorite out of those. This would be my first time lugging around a sword though, can say I am getting used to the weight and mechanics. Feels like an extension of my body now. How about you? Any personal favorites?"

  19. ((More than likely I missed that connection. Haha))

Lindow received a quick message back from his green haired friend. The message was quick and casual and ended with a note about not talking about the Guild. Something must have happened, or perhaps, Lindow just didn't get the memo about it. Scratching his beard lightly with his rough digits, he made no further replies to the message and would respect his wishes and not talk about the Guild. Lindow respected all people and their wishes unless there was reason to believe that they were hiding something important from him, but that was a real life matter to deal with, and he couldn't just man handle a person like he did in during questioning.  Taking a few steps towards the portal itself, Lindow was garbed in his basic attire, he had yet to receive his fashionable cloak from the Crimson Blades, yet he did sport the crimson colors and gold lining in his tunic and vest. Bound to his back was the Hard Edge, a sword he has yet to be able to use in combat so this hunting trip would be its christening. He waited a few moments by the portal standing steadfast with his arms crossed over his chest and looked straight into the nothingness.

  20. Lindow scratched his beard, Beor got up probably an hour earlier than Lindow did on most days. Perhaps it was more motivation towards this player than anything else. As a smith, the demand of materials must be extremely high, and hunting can be dangerous work for anyone. He puts long hours in the day for just doing that. Lindow scratched the back of his head, he wonders if he should follow through by example to his comrade and start waking up earlier to get a better start of the day. The thought hung on him for awhile, "Well, I am quite surprised really. At first glance you looked like a rather mellow person, but now I see you are far more complete and thorough than I had thought. I don't wake up till maybe 5:30 or 6 on a good day. Hahaha."

The member of the Crimson Blade took a healthy swig of his beer, the taste of the liquid now seemed almost tolerant as he was able to finish his first cup. Taking a deep breath inward, Lindow wondered what other sort of subject they could talk about. Perhaps something a bit more personal? "So, were you into any sports back home? I loved going to Giants games with my wife when we could find time to go. I've played baseball in High School and we have a team together for the police department..." something casual to start things off, Baseball and sports seemed like a chummy conversation.

  21. Lindow had woken up early, quite early as he normally did right before the sun was starting to rise. At daybreak he did is morning routine and chatted with the locals about a hunting expedition he was going on today, yet he would not be alone. Recently meeting a vibrant green haired player by the name Hirru, who was at the meeting of the Crimson Blades, he thought it would be a good idea to see what the kid was made out of. Surely, he was probably more experienced at hacking and slashing foes than Lindow was but the point of the exercise was just a casual hunting trip with a fellow guild member. At about 7 am, Lindow had sent the message to the green haired warrior and got himself ready for the expedition to the Crystal Cavern, a small cave he had explored recently but not thoroughly. He still remembers the lingering feeling of me speared in the leg by a pike from a ore eating Crystal Fiend.

Hey buddy! Good morning! I figured we haven't had much time outside the guild to socialize. How about you come to the fourth floor, bring some warm clothing and come hunting with me. We'll split mats 50/50.

Lindow had opened his menu and sent the message, hopefully he was up and ready for some action.

  22. It was a healthy start for the conversation between the two guild members of the Crimson Blade. Beor told him of a story of wolf hunting on the third and fourth floor but unfortunately didn't yield any amazing results in terms of loot. Lindow nodded as he listened the to the man's story, taking slow gulps of his beer still getting used to the stout taste of it. His eyes widened with a flavor packed punch entered his mouth on of the larger gulps, he coughed lightly running a hand over his beard and laughed slightly still coughing, "I'm like a newbie beer drinker. Stop laughing...hahaha" Lindow kept it simple and fun, "Not too much. I go out fishing on the weekend that I am not out risking my life to get stronger. I find that fishing can be an enjoying and patiently rewarding craft when you actually catch some fish. I normally do a few hours a day of monster hunting and some material gathering since those are the two big points right now. Levels and gear seem to be the resounding points of the game right now. So I normally concentrate on those two. During the evening, I try to read up on any new information that has been leaked in the Player's Guide to see if any new information has been revealed to the current floor boss there is no information yet and that can be a bit stressful. I try not to over do things during the week to keep myself busy, there is plenty to do here in Aincrad and can make your day full, sometimes just relaxing a little and destressing can reawaken the fighting spirit for the following day."

Lindow thought about his day to day routine, it was pretty much like any other day in real life. You woke up, worked and did your job, came home and enjoyed the rest of your evening doing whatever, sometimes you feel good enough to go back out and work. However, the two handed swordsman didn't make too many night time adventures. He liked to go to bed early and wake up before the sun so as to have a full day of what needed to be done, "How about yourself, Beor. What do you do to keep yourself busy? I bet smithing takes a great deal of time and effort."

  23. Lindow's movements would be akin to those like Monster Hunter-esque as Kalesh pointed out. Almost dragging the blade behind him, he hefts the blade over one shoulder mostly, or overhead for ground shattering attacks. There are a few times where he'll hold it out to his side and do quarter turn attacks, or go from overhead to a sweep for a 2 hit combo. I suspect greatswords being heavy, so I use very little movement when handling the giant behemoth blades. I would love to get <<Charge>> eventually, that seems like a fun skill to have for a Two Hander.

  24. It was a hearty forearm shake by both men and Lindow simply nodded in return, "So long as it's nothing complicated. I think what we did was simple and elegant enough." Lindow stood looking around the shop while Beor had gestured to a wooden rectangular shaped table for them to sit at.  He sat down in one of the chairs and leaned back a bit getting into a comfortable position. He lifted one leg over the other and noded to the question his host had asked about wanting a beer. He didn't even see the monstrous looking keg sitting at the other end of another table.

Lindow wondered if it would be ok? He wasn't a social drinker unless it was an event or something, but he wouldn't disrespect his host all the same, "Thank you, that would be great." His host nodded with approval as a stout dark liquid was given to him in a moderately sized cup. It was frosty and cold, dark in color. He didn't know much about beers or their flavors, but he knew the darker the beer the more bold the taste was. As he lifted the cup, he took a slight sip just to get a taste for the beverage. It tasted very bitter, but in a good way. It wasn't overpowering as he thought it was going to be and took another drink. He rested the cup on the table and looked to his comrade, "Not too bad. I'm normally not into alcoholic beverages and know nothing about beers except the major brands back at home. I think this is the first beer I had in a long while. So..." Lindow tried to set up a simple conversation, he wasn't very good with doing that but perhaps turning the conversation into a more male bonding thing would do some good, "Got any good monster kills lately? There is a cavern on the fourth floor where there are lots of mining nodes. I was in there not too long ago and happened across a Crystal Fiend. I ended up taking a shoulder wound by a dagger and a spear through the leg! Let me tell you, it was getting a bit hairy for me in there. I managed to rend it asunder though. I still have some measly equipment, but that'll change soon enough." Monster killing, that sounded like a good start.
