  1. "I've been more occupied with raising my level so I can get stronger," Vargas replied to her first question. "I haven't visited most of the floors yet but I've been to some of them. I haven't been to floor four but I have been to floor six." He said, recalling the quest that he got dragged along on with Hirru and Beatbox. He didn't spend too much time on that floor so he didn't explore it too much. He'd just gone there to look around at possible quests before he got dragged along to kill the Monkey King. "Well, at least it'll be easier for you to meet more people here. I mean, there were only ten thousand players allowed into the game so it's not like you'll always be seeing unknown faces."

At the mention of dancing Vargas looked a little startled at the idea. "Wait what?" he said as she pulled him along. Once she let go he just stood there watching as she danced around the performers. She moved her body every which way she chose as she laughed, enjoying herself. Soon, she looked to him and motioned him to join her with her finger. Giving a half-hearted smile Vargas walked towards her and took a slight bow. He was far too used to ballroom dances that he felt slightly out of place with the music. However, he was gonna try his best.

Taking her hand and with the rythym of the song they started slowly. It wasn't long before they picked up the speed with the rhythm. His feet jumping across the floor as he went with the music, allowing it to take over and let his years of dance tutelage run its course. He may have only learned formal ballroom dance, but the thing each had in common was that each dance met the rhythm of the music and allowed for the dancers to add in their own personalities.

  2. Shrugging, Vargas said, "Yeah, fish sounds good to me. Vargas followed behind her as she once again les the way through the streets. When he thought of fish the first ones to come to mind were halibut and tilapia, both very delicious types of fish. "So I look really good, huh?" She asked, turning her head to look at him. He rolled his eyes and responded, "Don't make me regret saying it and take it back."

After awhile Vargas could smell the difference in the air. The smell of fish became heavier and more pungent as they got closer to their destination. As they passed different food stalls, Vargas noticed Mestophales's tale flicking about frantically as she was noticeably excited to eat fish.

Watching the exchange between Mestophales and the other player he felt bemused when the man gave him the stink eye. What did he mean by roped another one in? Furthermore, if she doesn't have any Col or materials why'd she agree to this instead of asking for me to make a different request? With that on his mind Mestophales pushed him into a chair. The legs wobbled under him, shaking him from his thoughts and bringing his attention back.

Looking at the performers playing music, Vargas rather liked it. The pungent smell of fish was a bit much but not over abundant enough to quell his hunger. Noticing Mestophales's eyes on him he turned and responded, "It's nice. Never been here actually. Though, I don't really go anywhere beyond the fields and where I'm staying for quests and mobs. Never seen much reason for it."

  3. He followed behind her as she lead the way. The main street was fairly busy when they exited the alleyway. "Yeah. I was actually hoping that you hadn't been in that barrel. It didn't seem like a pleasant place to hide," Vargas said as he looked around at the flow of people moving in either direction. "Huh?" Vargas looked back at Mestophales, "oh uh, I don't really have any place specific. It's up to you since your treating me."

They stopped outside the inn where Mestophales was staying. It hadn't taken all that long so they didn't have to stay in the sun for much time. When asked if he wanted to come up he said, "No, I'll just wait down here." His face turned red as he became flustered at the mention of her exhibitionism. He took a seat in the parlor while he waited for her. It was nice and cool inside the inn compared to outside. Relaxing into the seat, he let himself rest while he waited.

It didn't take very long for her to return. "How do I look?" Turning his head to the stairs he saw someone completely different. He assumed it to be Mestophales but it didn't look like her beyond the ears, tail, and garb. Without the make-up she looked rather decent. Her calm dark hair and tan skin went well with the clothing she seemed to prefer. "You look really good actually," Vargas said with a blush. Completely forgetting for the moment that she had been a nuisance for the majority of the day he couldn't help but actually appreciate her looks.

  4. Vargas blushed as Mestophales put her hands on his should and leaned into his ear. When she asked if he liked tuna he wasn't sure how to take that. Did she mean the fish or was she yanking his chain again? It was hard to tell with everything else that'd happened that day. Before he could say anything though she released his shoulder and swept away her matted hair.

"Your place?" Vargas asked. He felt like she was definitely trying to pull something. Everything she did so far involved yanking his chain and getting a rise out of him. So, obviously, this was likely no different. "Yeah, that sounds fine," Vargas said, deciding that it was better to go with it. Her paint was pretty smeared up and the sweat shone of her body easily. If she wanted to wash up that was fine. He wasn't going to hold it against her.

  5. Well, she least she doesn't appear to be giving up, Vargas thought as he watched her charge back into the fight. She flew at the boar quickly with ease, only for her attack to miss. After getting mad at the boar she looked at him.  "Please, do not hold it against me, I am trying so hard." Vargas looked at her and gave a smile, "Don't worry. I said I'd help you if you needed it. Until then it's all yours." He took a seat on the ground and leaned back as he watched the fight.

She sheathed her rapier before performing a back flip, providing further distance between herself and the boar. Her lithe form made the effort quite easily, though, why she did it he had no idea. The boar quickly charged her nonetheless at full speed with the intent of hitting her. The boar was none to smart about it's attack though and completely missed Raina, who didn't even need to move out of the way of the attack.

  6. Vargas got himself up off the ground. Twice now she'd jumped him and knocked him flat on the ground. This time, she was naked when she did it which could be seen as even worse or even better. However, he'd already had his back to her which resulted in him planting his face in the dirt, again. Brushing himself off he turned to look at her, expecting her to be clothed by now, only to get a full view of her rear before her equipment materialized to cover her body. His face quickly heated up as he became flustered at the image that was still in his vision.

Shaking his head as he tried to shake the memory off quickly and cool off his head he heard Mestophales telling him she was a woman of his word and asked what it was he'd like for his prize. "Uh...." Vargas was kind of lost on that question. What did he want. Instantly, the sight of her rear returned causing his face to be overcome with heat before he mentally swiped that thought away. He hardly knew her. Besides, that would only stroke her ego as she already liked the idea of other men wanting her as it was.

"I guess...." Vargas thought about it a moment before he remembered his breakfast that he'd lost out on. With that thought came the sound of his stomach growling. He'd missed out on most of his breakfast and it was getting closer to lunch. "How about you treat me to lunch then?"

  7. (OOC: Added the final bleed damage that should've been activated earlier on Bear A)

Things were moving slowly but progressively. With Beatbox out of it at the moment it was slower than it could've been. The bright side was that Morgenstern basically had the attention of all the bears and was able to keep them off of all of them. Aereth was calling out orders, making sure the flow of combat was orderly and with as little chaos as possible. Vargas knew that if it wasn't Aereth or somebody else taking the role of command he would've likely tried to step up. It was practical to have someone focus their attention on everything so as to catch any openings or surprises when they came.

When Aereth gave the signal for him to charge the bear once more he did so, running alongside him as they both unleashed their lightning fall sword arts and dealing heavy damage to the bear. Backing off quickly, he made sure to give himself room from their target and the others.

  8. Vargas easily slashed through his boar, causing it to shatter and disperse quickly. They weren't difficult for him to beat in anyway.  He had much better gear compared to what these low level mobs could do. Turning to look at Raina he saw that she'd dropped her rapier. "I... I am sorry! I.. have not be able to hit an enemy yet." she said with a sad look. "Don't worry. I'm right here if anything goes wrong," he replied, trying to bring up her mood. When he saw the tears he felt bad. Was she really not wanting to fight? If that were so, then why did she ask to come out here with him?

With these questions on his min he watched as she charged the boar and missed as it moved out of the way of her attack. She was able to roll out of the fall easily. However, from the looks of it, she lost track of the mob as she decided to make a claim of dodging it only to be rammed into by the boar. Vargas rushed forward to her side to make sure she was ok. Her health had gone down a little but was already recovering, likely from a piece of her armour. The only thing she had that wasn't standard was the shield so it was likely that.

"You ok?" Vargas asked as he tried to help her up. "You're doing ok. You just need to keep your eyes on the boar and focus on your next move."

  9. Looking at his HUD he could see that he'd already lost fifteen minutes of his hour. Vargas turned left while wiping his forehead. Running around was making him slightly sweaty but the wind that rushed through the alleyways was cool enough to make it nice. He continued running down the street before making a right. At this point he was just running down each alley while checking for hiding spots. When he'd spot crates, he'd check behind them, and in them if they opened. Every small opening that he saw that might fit Mestophales was checked as well. He asked the NPCs that he came across in case any of them spotted her if she was out in the open moving around. Sadly, no one had seen her and so he was stuck looking around currently.

After about ten minutes Vargas noticed a barrel shaking slightly. "Don't tell me she actually hid in that," Vargas said hopefully. The barrel was large enough to fit a person, yes, but it would be a pretty compact fit. Plus, it didn't have great ventilation since barrels were sealed with reed and swelled with liquids to make the barrel tightly sealed. With the sun as high as it was and the barrel sealed with little ventilation the thing must've been like a sauna in there. Grabbing the top of the barrel he opened it up and saw her inside. Luckily, with the position she was in she was covered up but it didn't hide the fact that she wasn't wearing anything. "Seriously?" Vargas asked incredulously as his cheeks acquired a pink tint them. She wasn't bad looking but all she'd done to him was be annoyingly rude. Turning away he said, "You should probably put your clothes back on now."

  10. Vargas looked at Raina as she asked if he wanted to fight some monsters with her. "Are you sure you want to?" Vargas asked but knew instantly that she did. Her eyes staring at him earnestly made him lose desire to talk her out of it. "Fine. Come on. I'll help you out if you look to be having trouble. Try not to draw to much aggro from multiple mobs." Vargas said as he lead the way. He didn't want to be the reason that she got into too much trouble.

He equipped his breastplate as they walked so he would be able to take any amount of damage. His armour basically negated all the damage he'd take so he wasn't all that worried about himself. As they exited the city gates Vargas drew his blade so as to attack the first mob he saw. Turning to her he opened his menu and sent a party request. Once she'd accepted the request Vargas said, "Let's see how well you know how to fight to start before we do anything else." He looked around for any boars that might be in the area. They were the most basic mobs of the game so they made for good training fodder.

Spotting a group of three boars he walked in their direction with Raina. "If you feel overwhelmed by the boars just pull back and let me deal with them ok?" he asked as he readied his most basic sword art. Walking forward, the boars looked at him as he entered their aggro range. His pace began to pick up as he started moving quickly towards the closest boar. Before he could move in any direction he slashed through it causing the boar to disintegrate into a multitude of crystals. "Ok Raina, your turn. I'll try to keep this one focused on me while you attack that one," Vargas said as the boars split up and came after them individually.

  11.

Vargas arrived on the third floor with a smile on his face. He was looking forward to this fight. This would be his third boss fight now, but his first involving more than one boss in the same fight. He'd arrived fairly quickly when he caught word of the mobs that people would be fighting. Supposedly they were of varying strength according to Hikoru so it sounded like it'd be a good chance for him to get some experience and gear.

It'd been awhile since the last time Vargas had been in Delilah. Last time, he'd been here to complete a quest for his leather coat. Sadly that venture nearly got him killed but it did allow him to gain a level and a decent coat. Deciding to sit on a nearby bench Vargas waited for other players to arrive for the group to be ready to move out and eliminate the mobs.

  12. "Twenty-seven....twenty-eight.....twenty-nine.....thirty!" Vargas called out as he opened his eyes and looked around. Thinking back, he knew she'd been standing around for about the first couple of seconds so she wasn't likely to be too far. Unless she decided to keep moving instead of hiding in one spot. He had no idea of what to expect from her so he was just going to have to search. Uncrossing his legs he got himself up and did a quick scan of his surroundings.

Running down the streets he swung his head from side to side as he looked down the alleys, passing merchant shops and carts. He figured she'd probably try hiding someplace that would make it harder for people to see her and wouldn't draw too much attention to her. She was trying to hide, so being somewhere that'd draw a crowd due to how she looked wouldn't be smart. Turning off into an alleyway he continued down the street searching. Smaller streets would do her more good since most people didn't take them too often and they usually had plenty of crates, barrels, and crevices where she could hide. Looking inside and behind everything he was already losing some time to the search.

  13. Vargas watched as another player entered his shop. "Welcome, feel free to look," Vargas said. He hadn't had a costumer since Aereth. The red headed player looked around for awhile before coming up to the leather coat he had recently finished.  He introduced himself before asking to buy the armour. "Feel free. The coat is for sale after all," Vargas chuckled as Atzo placed the Col on the counter. Accepting the money he watched as Atzo took the coat from where it hang, put it in his inventory, and left.

Once Atzo had left Vargas allowed his face to fall slack. He closed his eyes and recalled to himself the letter Row had pinned to the door when she left. He didn't even know that she had plans to leave. When he'd gotten to his shop he saw the note pinned on the door. He wasn't too worried since she would be able to take care of herself, but it was kind of sad she didn't tell him she was leaving beforehand.

    +1500 Col

  14. "Got it," Vargas confirmed when Aereth said they were gonna focus on the first bear. He waited for his chance as he watched Aereth duck under the bear's swipe and hit it with his sword skill. Jonathan took a strike at the bears, increasing his aggro which gave Vargas and Beatbox room to charge forward without worrying about the other bears. Beatbox seemed to remain where he was though. Vargas wondered if perhaps Kayaba's system wasn't as perfect as some people thought. Was Beatbox having some sort of lag from his connection? That thought was scary just to think about. How many players might have had that as an actual problem. Shaking off those thoughts, he made his way quickly to the bear with his lightning fall sword art. He leaped into the air, aiming to hit the bear directly but ended up skewing the jump and ended up past the bear instead.

  15. "Hide and seek?" Vargas asked as he looked at her wondering. His wonderment was quickly dissolved though as she continued on. He had one hour to find her, in the Town of Beginnings. Though, she said she'd remain in this part of the city. At least with that he wouldn't have to search the whole place. It was a rather large city even if it's name said town. When she stated the prize Vargas didn't feel too bothered about it. Two hundred Col wasn't a whole lot for him to lose. He could go collect it back if he lost. What did bother him was when she basically said she'd do whatever he wanted if he were to find her. As if she were daring him to come after her like those 'other men'.

Sighing, Vargas said, "Fine then. Two hundred Col if you win. When I win, however, you have to oblige by my request." Dropping down onto the ground he crossed his legs and closed his eyes. "I'm going to count to thirty. That should give you plenty of time to at least be out of my line of sight and to look for a spot to hide." Take a breath he began counting. "One.....two......three...."

  16. Vargas lightly blushed as Raina changed into a form fitting white leotard. It intensified further when she smiled at him and crossed her arms, causing her breasts to bounce somewhat. Vargas covered his eyes with a hand as he said, "Well, at least you're dry now." He didn't understand how she didn't seem to care that everything she wore so far showed herself off so much. First the dress, which she did at least make some notice of, but now there was the learned that hugged her body and easily displayed her curves.

When he was asked why he didn't dance he moved his hand and attempted to look at her, "You just seemed to be having so much fun dancing that I just ended up watching you enjoy yourself." He looked at the ground as he shifted his feet a bit as he muttered under his breath, "it's not that I don't enjoy them. I just don't care to remember."

Taking a breath and looking at Raina without issue he removed the coat as he said, "Since you're dry now I guess I should probably leave. I'm sure you had somethings to get done. While you were in town."

  17. Vargas sat up, Mestophales slid forward off his back and ended up in a handstand. From his position he got a full view of her green panties. Vargas simply looked down to where her face was, though covered by hair.

"We've been here for a year and all we've cleared are the first twenty floors almost. Seems having fun hasn't gotten us that, has it?" Vargas said as he turned his head one way and then twisting to the other side as he followed her hand walking around him. "As for you straddling me, it's hard to enjoy something from a random chick who you've only met today and has done nothing to make things easier for you."

With that she sprung up off her hands and onto her feet where she splayed her hands out in a pose. "Ta-da~" she yelled as she smile at Vargas. However, he remained stoic to this little display. She shifted her arms around her chest and began talking again. "No, I haven't and my preference in women isn't what is being discussed here," Vargas said in response. Besides, the only person I liked died. Heh, it's been a year now since then hasn't it, Vargas thought to himself before returning to the conversation. When she made the comment about being himself Vargas simple ignored it. She wanted to play? Fine, then he'd play. "Fine, I'll play. What's your game and what's the rules?" Vargas asked as he removed her hands from his shoulders and got himself off the ground. He was going to do his damnedest to win.

  18. Vargas made his way through the crowd easily. Shifting his body to make it past people, he did not wish to be bothered at this point. He ignored most of what was said by the woman. Instinct? This was a video game, where instincts only amounted to so much. Sure, he's developed some instinct when in a fight so as to keep himself alive, but it also amounted to numbers. It was a game, sure a death game but still a game. The higher your numbers the better off you were. Instinct could only help you stay alive in a fight up to a point.

He was slowly cooling off as he walked at this point. He knew getting mad and flustered did him no good. It just upset him to deal with a person like that early in the morning. She literally had just walked up to him and acted like he was in her territory or something. His pace slowed as he allowed his temper to be laid to rest. However, slowing down did him no good. Before he could turn around at the noise, he found himself flat on the ground with a weight on his back. He winced as he felt nails digging into his back. "Meow~ You just got pounced! Yes you did! Yes you did! Hehehe Nya~~"

Vargas turned his head only to see it was the same woman. He felt his temper rising before he forced himself to calm down. "What do you want? Haven't you already caused enough trouble already?" he asked with his voice tempered and controlled. He was not feeling all that amused at her antics. Why did she feel so inclined to mess with him? He pushed himself off the ground and sat up, causing Mestophales to get off of being directly on his back.

  19. OOC: Feel free to follow or whatever. Will figure something out. Lol

Vargas felt dumbstruck at her claim. "When was I sharing? That would require me to give you some kind of indication that you were free to take some of my food WHICH I did not do. So the one that should be and is confused here is me."

She shifted to have her hands under her chin and looked at him. He just stared back at her, not moving his eyes away as he kept an eye on her. They remained like this for awhile before her lips curled into a faint smile. He felt very skeptical of her as she gnawed on her bottom lip with her pinky nail on the corner of her lip. Her face basically screamed mischief as he watched her. He didn't know who this woman was but already she was ruining his morning. It wasn't long before his morning became rather unexpected. While he was paying attention to her movements she had moved her tail out of his view. It was now stroking his thigh, which he discerned from the sensation of something, that was most definitely not a foot, moving against his thigh.

Vargas kicked back his chair as he moved away from her tail. He was infuriated with this woman at this point. First, she was rude. He could've pushed past that without a problem but practically trying to take advantage him like this was ridiculous. "I don't care who you are! What is wrong with you? What makes you think you can freely do what you want? If you want my food, fine, have it. I don't care." Vargas angrily began to storm off, not wishing to deal with this person any longer.

  20. "Likewise," he responded before Raina stood and handed him back his jacket, to his surprise. She was still very wet, which meant people could still see through her dress in patches. She began dancing in the middle of the square, seeming to enjoy herself if her laughter was anything to discern by. "Best way to dry off and get warm! You should try it!" She moved with simplistic grace as each step she took was made with purpose. Her laugh was light and drew the attention of the crowd. Many were enjoying the dancing, while others were more interested in 'other' things. Vargas began smiling as he watched her dance. It was amazing how oblivious she was to what most girls might have had an issue with. His smile faltered, however, when the image before him changed from Raina dancing to that of another person close to his heart in her place.

It was only for a moment, but a moment was all it took. He rushed forward with the coat once more as Raina continued to perform her acrobatics. Stopping her in the middle of spinning around once more he threw the coat over her once more, not even paying attention to whether or not her clothes had actually dried by now. "You really should cover up for now," he said while glaring at some of the more slack jawed onlookers, who looked away quickly and casually strolled along. "Your dancing was great though. Everyone loved it." Vargas said with a smile as many of the crowd clapped and cheered. Even a small girl ran up to her with a couple flowers that she must've picked up from the square.

"Do you not have anything else you can wear in place of your dress? Or perhaps an inn that you could go to to dry off near a fire?" Vargas inquired, as he tried to push back the image that he'd just seen.

  21. Swatting at the air Vargas turned, expecting to see a fly but found nothing. Confounded he tried to return to his food but was distracted by the same feeling once again. Looking right away this time, he once again saw nothing. Looking at his food he bit into a piece of bacon that released the succulent juices of the tender greasy meat. It tasted exactly like it would in the real world, maybe even better, but he was distracted again by the sense of something near his head. He tried to ignore it, hoping it would leave, but it continued to persist until he looked and found nothing.

After awhile, the strange sensation that had remained left and Vargas was able to try to enjoy his food. As he continued to partake in his piece of bacon he looked at his menu to decide where he'd try going today. Might be best if I try going to a higher floor, Vargas considered, it'll give me a chance to get the materials I want and I can gain some experience faster. With his attention distracted by his own thoughts and his eyes being on the menu he was joined by a guest. The sound of a growl drew his attention to glance up at the strange occurrence.

If he hadn't known any better, he might've thought that a cat had somehow joined SAO. Bright orange cat eyes stared at him. He assumed it was a woman due to her face's feminine features, which was then confirmed by the peripheral of her arms on the table and the definite volume of her chest. Her face was covered in makeup to look moderately like a tiger. He noticed the ears twitching on her head and the tail swishing about, which made him wonder what she was up to as her tail gave off the feeling of mischief.

Nya, Good morning. Looks like you are eating something pretty good. Sharing is caring." Before he could stop her, she leaned over the table and stole a piece of bacon from his plate. Vargas looked at her quite perplexed. Who was this woman and why was she helping herself to his food? When she reached for another Vargas moved the plate slightly out of reach and moved a hand in the way of her reach. "You know, it's rude to steal food from a man's plate in the morning? Now, if you had asked I might've been kind enough to share a piece or two but I don't even know you. So who the hell are you? Vargas asked with some heat to his tone as he felt slightly flustered and annoyed. He was annoyed cause this woman had brazenly helped herself to his food. He was flustered because he had just gotten an eye full of her well formed body.

  22. Vargas sat outside a cafe as he waited to have his order taken. He liked to come here since it wasn't far from his room tat he rented. It made for convenience and he wouldn't have to buy the same old soup and bread from the inn. It was nice to change up what it was he ate. Sure, he didn't need actual nourishment from food but it helped to keep his mood from dropping and his in game hunger down.

"Can I take your order?" a waitress asked as she walked up to him. Vargas looked at his menu before glancing up at her. She wore a pretty traditional medieval outfit. A simple white cotton shirt and a black corset, along with a green skirt that reached down to her ankles. The corset pushed her modest bust up in the attractive way that corsets were meant to. Her long blonde hair fell down the back of her neck freely, waving in the slight breeze.

"Ah, yes." Vargas said deciding on his order with one last glance, "I'll have a eggs and bacon with a side of hash browns please." The girl nodded and took back the menu before heading in. Vargas looked through his menu as he waited for his food. From the looks of it he was dangerously low on materials. He was going to have to fix that before the next time he went ahead and worked on more appraisals. His equipment, however, was good for now. It worked for him with what he wanted to accomplish at times. Though, it wasn't the most reliable when it came to dealing out a lot of damage. Sure, he rarely missed but eventually he was going to need to deal even more damage to effectively kill monsters quickly.

"Here you go," the waitress announced her arrival as she placed the plate of food on the table. She also had his usual drink, green tea, which made for a good morning. "Will that be all?"

"Yes. Thank you very much." Vargas answered as he picked up his tea and took a drink. She smiled and then made her way back inside to take and deliver the orders of other players and NPCs. Vargas quietly ate his food as he thought about what he should do about his low material inventory.

  23. Vargas looked at this own clothes that were moderately soaked. It wasn't to quite the same degree so it didn't bother him much. "It's no issue. My clothes aren't going to bother me much. As for clothes drying quickly....well, I have no idea," Vargas replied as he watched her sit on the basin and try to dry her long pink hair. Looking behind him, he saw that the guy she'd tripped over was fine and had been standing by, likely to make sure she was ok. Turning back to face Raina he realized he hadn't introduced himself in return. "My names Vargas," he said as he sat next to her on the basin. They sat there for awhile as their clothes dried off. It wasn't very long before his clothes dried but hers were completely soaked and would take some time before they would be completely dry and safe to remove the coat.

  24. Vargas looked behind as he heard someone scream, only to be covered in water. He blew air from his mouth as he tried to get the water out of his mouth and shook his head. The water dropped off the tips of his hair as he opened his eyes and saw a girl in the fountain. "Are you ok?" Vargas asked as he was about to swing his feet over and into the water. Though, it appeared unnecessary as she got herself up, rubbing her back. He quickly looked away, however, as he noticed that her dress was completely soaked and see through. Moving around the fountain while averting his eyes out of respect he opened his menu and removed his Leather Coat. With it in one hand he offered a hand to her for her to get out of the water. "Here, you should probably cover up," Vargas said while showing the leather coat for her to use. It didn't seem like she'd noticed so far but her undergarments were very visible. The best thing about the situation was that she wasn't at least wearing white underneath as well.
