  1. Domarus had taken a lot, but this would be over soon enough.  The dps player had been parrying the monster's attacks, but now he was learning how it moved.  When it struck, when it blocked.  He smiled as he found out how to beat it.  As the third commander went to strike Hazado, Domarus thrust his ax out, allowing his weapon to catch the commander's own between the blade and shaft.  He spun his weapon so that the commander's would be shoved into the ground while being struck with the butt of Domarus' weapon.  He used the momentum to spin the blade end up from the ground and hacked completely through the creature's torso, applying the fallen damage.  He was sincerely hoping that had applied the final damage and ended this fight.  He seriously didn't want to have to go through this crap again.  If the commander was truly dead he would call out to the others and let them know.

  2. Placeholder - Haz interrupting him threw the red haired player off.  But he wasn't giving up yet.  This mob was still his.  Domarus didn't want to spiral down into a raging beast of raw destruction however.  He wanted to try and use this fight to see if he could manage to give it his all, without falling into a bloodlust mode.  If he could do that...  Well he imagined having hope for himself.  If not.......  He wouldn't think about what kind of state he'd be in.  Domarus rushed at it once again, ignoring the cackling of the commanders.  He swung his blade at the commander's throat and it barely dodged him.  It was about to laugh again when it saw his blade wiz toward him from above, having never ceased it's momentum.  The Commander ran on the defensive, dodging his swings and parrying them when he had no choice with it's metal bracelets.  Domarus was trying to get past it's defenses, rather than just raging through it and spending energy.  He was waiting for just the right opening.

  3. Domarus wanted the chance to finish off the Commander here.  He wanted to be able to take down the enemy he'd worked so hard to break down.  This entire event he'd been hacking at it, and the other three commanders, but this was the one that was damaged the most.  It was the closest to death.  And thus it was the only one he could finish off.  He just hoped that his fallen would kick in.  However, as he charged in to deal the final blow, he saw Hazado charging the same target.  Moving into his range.  "Sh*t!"  He adjusted his weapon's movement so that he didn't hit Haz.  Barely missing the player, and shutting off his sword art.  His ax became stuck in the ground now.  "Haz!  Try and not attack a commander that I've already claimed!  I really don't want to hurt a comrade of mine!"  Was this going to be a sign for him?  That he would never be able to do this?  That he'd never be able to...  No, he was going to try.

  4. Domarus watched as Mars took down his own commander.  The rest of the players continued to fight the others and the battle was going relatively slowly.  They were still dropping left and right, but still.  Domarus decided to expend the last of his energy doing at least something.  He rushed at the third commander whose health was nearly depleted.  However when he swung his ax, the commander seemed to have seen him coming.  He was hoping that with all the chaos going on it wouldn't have time to do so, but still.  When he retreated and fell in line with the other players again he turned to Mars.  He wanted to get something straight:  "I'm calling dibs on finishing off this commander.  If I can't take it down in one more shot he's all yours...  I need something today."

  5. Domarus watched as the players began to rush in and aid them as much as they could.  Things began to become a bit chaotic.  Particularly when Mars began to berate Vigilon for crying out for help.  However, Domarus didn't reply to Mars, or back Vigilon up.  He had no right, and honestly wasn't sure what even was right or wrong at this point.  He was still figuring his own sh*t out.  At any rate, the players were hacking at the commanders in the second party.  He wanted to help them fight further, especially finishing off the commanders in his own but his energy was...  He couldn't even hit one with an AoE strike.  He was going to have to save up his energy if possible.  Sighing, he called out.  "I'm out of energy, so I'm going to need to wait out this round.  I'll try and attack on my next turn if I'm able to."  He hated being powerless...  But, it was better than other things.

  6. Domarus watched as the rain king fell and the players rushed over.  Mars yelled at everyone saying they didn't need the frontlines help.  Domarus just narrowed his eyes.  The self centered fool.  Any help was appreciated with lives on the line.  Survival was top priority, not one's pride.  This player was a dangerous addition to the frontlines, but they needed all the firepower they could get their hands on so he wouldn't complain.  He had half a mind to just take a step back, but he couldn't just do nothing.  After everything he'd done..  He'd atone any way he could.  Domarus rushed forward and landed three solid hits...  Unfortunately they were critical hits, meaning his fallen damage didn't proc.  It would be useful if he had the DoT effects right now too, since he landed three critical hits in a row.  Huh.  It was as if the gods of chance were messing with him, or trying to tell him something.  Either way he did his best to help out.

So the dice officially hate me.

  7. Domarus was trying and failing to keep track of everything.  Well, somewhat failing.  He heard Mars yell at Hidden and turned to look at the player.  His eyes stiffened and filled with regret for what he'd done to her.  However, he shook his head to focus on the task at hand.  The boss was still not down and he had to do something.  When he looked over at the Rain King he noticed it's health and called out.  "Everyone!  The Rain king is nearly defeated!  If we manage to last another round, we're sure to have reinforcements."  Domarus gripped his weapon harder.  At this point he wasn't afraid to waste his energy now that he knew they'd have backup.  And if it never came, they just teleport out and live to fight another day.  He did manage to make another hit on three of them, but missed the fifth one unfortunately.  Though his first two hits did activate his fallen enhancement, so that turned out well enough.  With enough damage enhancements, this could surely work out well.

  8. Nodding to her in understanding Domarus went in for a second strike.  This time was a bit better.  He had focused first on charging the one who had dodged him on his left, and a long gash across it's torso.  He immediately dug his heels in, turned sharply, and rushed at the fourth zombie while swinging his ax in a downward arc, slashing the two zombies that Hestia had knocked down across their faces, dealing hyper critical damage.  Needless to say, they seemed to be the focus of Domarus overall rampage of destruction.  The last one however saw what was going on and backed up just enough to avoid getting cleaved by the massive ax.  After he had landed the attack, the two knocked down enemies were close to death.  The first one was moderately midway in health, but the last one who stood in front of him had managed to avoid being hurt this entire time.  This was pissing him off.  Miraak was about to help but remembered that they had this handled.  It wasn't a good idea to waste his energy when there could be worse enemies later on.

  9. Domarus disagreed with Hestia on a personal note.  Writing the story of the survivors sure.  But writing a book of lore from a video game that claimed the lives of hundreds, even thousands, as well as trapped everyone in here for as long as they ended up doing?  He could never see that becoming a thing.  And if it did then mankind was more twisted than he feared.  Before he could make a reply however, the next wave of zombies emerged.  Miraak, who'd been watching the conversation between them with a smile on his face (happy to see her help the man from falling into a dark place), quickly took up his staff just in case.  Domarus was less eager, but still clutched onto his massive ax and took in a deep breath.  When he did, he activated charge once more.  As he charged the undead tried to shamble out of the way.  The two far left and right ones managed to avoid his blade by a hair, but the two in front were not so lucky and ended up being knocked onto the ground past Hestia from the force of his blow. "How much longer do you think this quest is going to take?"  "We should only have the final destination after we handle these diseased ones!"  Miraak answered as he healed Hestia for one hundred points.

  10. Domarus listened and his hopes were...  Dwindled.  He wasn't sure what to make of this if he was being entirely honest, and his shoulders would drop slightly.  "Yes, you mentioned making a guild earlier..  Unfortunately as I mentioned then, I won't be participating in any for a while...  I don't exactly..  Trust myself around people at the moment."  He was also terrified at what they would think of him, but still.  She mentioned how she enjoyed singing, which was an activity that did in fact bring a lot of joy to people.  Meanwhile he made items that people would pretty much come in, buy something, and never come again.  Unless there was something they forgot to purchase.  She added on to this that she spent time with her familiar and loved to see the sights of Aincrad and learn its lore.  Domarus became a bit more saddened as he looked at Rhozarth.  "...I can't exactly play with my familiar, and I don't...  Even know what I'd do with it if I could.  As for lore and such..."  He didn't answer.  in his mind it was utterly pointless as they were going to one day leave this place behind permanently.  No sense in memorizing non mechanical knowledge that wouldn't be permanent.

  11. Domarus snapped his head in her direction, making a rather sudden stop to his pacing and just stood there.  He didn't know what to say at first, he was lost in his thoughts.  However interrupting as she did helped fish him out of the vortex he was beginning to slip into.  He looked up at her, clearly shaken from being pulled out, then looked down again.  "...I don't know.  The only other thing I ever did outside of scheming, manipulating, fighting, and many other ways I used to ruin people's lives was crafting artisan items.  However...  I don't know...  I doubt I'll have enough income to make that my primary thing to do in here.  And there's also Keres living in the shop, as well as the frontlines.  I can't just be weak forever, I need to be able to catch up...  I just don't know anymore."  This anger of his..  Would he ever be rid of it?  Or would he have need of it when he returned to the real world?  Then he thought of something.  Maybe, he could get ideas from Hestia?  He turned his eyes to look at her, and although he tried to hide it, the desperation in his eyes was clear.  "Can I ask..  What is it  you do outside of fighting in here?  What are your own goals?"

  12. The tall man nodded and walked over to a wall and let his massive ax drop to the ground and leaned it against the wall.  Unlike Hestia he wasn't really thinking about, nor observing the sad state of this world.  The silence was enough for him.  Slowly pacing back and forth, his eyes on the ground, he tried to calm his adrenaline down.  However he knew this fight wasn't over.  They still had to slay another four before they could continue.  After that he was assuming they'd have to fight a boss as well.  So he had to fight.  He had to.  There wasn't a choice here.  If he didn't fight he wouldn't get stronger.  If he didn't get stronger he wouldn't be able to help save everyone in Aincrad.  It was a simple fact of life.  Domarus' fist tightened as he felt angry again.  Angry that he still had to use this aggression, this violence that he just wanted to discard.  He still had to hold onto it and wield it as his weapon in order to help others.  He was thinking of things he might be able to do to help, but he couldn't think of anything.  Nothing at all...  Well, there was his artisan shop.  Working with trinkets helped calm him down, but he doubted he'd get a continuous stream of customers the entire time.

  13. He watched as this battle continued to go on.  Players were paralyzed the last round but it didn't seem to happen too much this time around.  Mars was busy boasting about how he wasn't able to be touched by the commander, but from what Domarus could tell his energy was nearly halfway gone.  Domarus' own issue was that he forgot to use any damage consumables, and thus his lower damage wasn't helping anyone too much.  That and the extra energy consumption from his weapon was making his own energy drop swiftly.  Nevertheless, he had to do what he could.  Domarus heard Vigilon and turned to him.  "Think about it.  This event started when the two in the sky began approaching one another.  They're closing in as we speak.  The king and his minions show up and make a beeline for them, and we step in front of them.  There's a timer going on, and the two in the sky are just that.  If we keep the enemies at bay, they will meet together and the legend comes true."  Domarus lunged forward and struck every commander save for the first one.  "That being said..  We should do our best to damage them as best we can while we're at it."

  14. Domarus hears her comment on how he's holding it and somewhat snaps out of the state he began to fall into.  "..Right, sorry."  He was just focused on defeating these enemies, trying to put everything he had into it.  Because of that he started slipping into his destruction habits.  How he operated when his only objective was to destroy the target.  He had to remember however, that there was..  More to this now than just destroy the target.  He couldn't just unleash all of his frustrations out on them.  But then, what did he do with it?  Where did he channel all of his hate, his misery, and his pain?  What was he supposed to throw all of that onto???  He didn't worry about that right now as he let go of the undead and cleaved his ax through it as it fell.  His long swipe also struck the other three undead monsters they were fighting, ending them all in one strike.  He watched the loot menu pop up.  "One uncommon consumable, one perfect consumable, one rare trinket, fourteen thousand five hundred and eighty col, and ten materials," he relayed too Hestia.  "I'm also out of energy.

  15. Domarus had been striking the monsters as often as he could.  However there was something off about this.  If he hadn't spiraled down into a state of depression, he wouldn't have entered the sort of blood rage he was in.  He was relying mainly on instincts right now..  That is, until Mars spoke up.  Domarus snapped from his rage and listened to him mention how the commanders were receiving additional buffs or something like that from the Rain King himself.  Domarus looked at the Commanders and then at the Rain King.  As he did he looked up and saw the two 'lovers' moving steadily closer together.  He thought for a moment before turning back to @Mars.  "The objective isn't to defeat them...  It's to fend them off as long as possible to prevent them from interrupting the actual event."  It made perfect sense when he thought about it.  He nodded to himself.  "I'm going to hold off my attack this turn and try to save my energy.  Unless you have any better ideas, I think we need to drag this fight out as long as possible.  If anything the tier three players can help us out if they slay the rain king before the event ends."

  16. 'Assuming I don't run out of energy' Domarus thought when Mars continued to bark out the same order.  He had noticed the commanders were not being paralyzed or stunned when the attempt was made.  And when they attacked the first time, they landed a hit from behind.  Seeing them do this they had managed to paralyze their foes.  Domarus however didn't care too much if he was paralyzed.  If he was to die then so be it..  He didn't deserve to live regardless.  If he lived through this fight...  Well maybe that was some divine wish, or judgement depending.  He never believed in a God but still.  Domarus charged the four commanders a second time, seeking to do at least something to these beasts.  The good news was that he had managed to land a solid fallen hit on three out of four of his targets, dealing....  Rather pathetic damage if they were being realistic, but still.  It was something,  But the heavy drain on his energy was extremely concerning if anything.

  17. Domarus was going to rush at them again.  He didn't care that they were eyeing him a second time.  He was only going to cut them all down, regardless of what damage they dealt to him.  Before he could however, Hestia used howl on them.  He gripped his ax harder and dug his heals in to keep from charging until they weren't moving targets anymore.  He didn't want to hurt Hestia by accident.  Once she called for him to attack he dashed forward and slashed all three of them at once.  All three because one of them had managed to avoid getting hit by some miracle.  The three he hit were thrown to the right, collapsing onto the ground before they slowly started to get back up.  The fourth turned to Domarus who noticed it had fell to it's knees was missing a leg.  So that' the one that almost died.  He grabbed it's head and held it up in front of Hestia.  "Want to finish him off?"

  18. Domarus walked on until he heard a soft thump.  He stopped and turned to see what it was, and saw Mina resting on the..  No, collapsed on the ground, crying to herself.  He didn't know why she was crying, but he had a few guesses..  So what?  He was the cause of people's misery again?  Even when he wasn't actively doing something?...  Then he would never change, was that it?  Domarus stood still for a moment before walking over to her.  He unequipped his armor and pulled out his weapon.  Dropping it to the side and tossing aside his trinket.  Leaving a trail of three pieces of equipment on his way over to her.  Now he sat on a log nearby her wearing nothing but his black t-shirt and pants.  His eyes full of depression.  "...We really are hopeless...  Aren't we?...  I don't believe myself, or even others, when I hear that I'm able to redeem myself.  I can't believe that...  The world throws reminders at me as well...  I just wanted a chance to change, but.  I doubt I'm even capable of even that..."  He shook his head.  No tears flowing.  No sorrow showing.  Just an emptiness in his eyes.  A shell.  "I don't know how to comfort you.  And I have no right to comfort you.  It's not my place to show you where to go.  I cannot guide you, or anyone towards hope.  I have not, and cannot earn that.......  I deserve nothing.  Nothing but my own destruction.  I tried not to come to terms with this, like Hestia demanded but...  If I'm reduced to nothing but a weapon for the frontlines.  Even that is a hope for me, if not a fantasy.."

  19. Soon enough the ten commanders were upon them.  Domarus looked up at them as they emerged from the water.  Picking up his massive axe, he began to walk forward.  He heard Mars call out to the others, and while he didn't acknowledge him speaking, he did agree with this.  Better they focus on one enemy while he wears down the others.  Domarus stopped, and took a stance.  While he took a deep breath in, Mars charged forward to deal his first strike.  Then, Domarus exhaled slowly and Mars retreated back.  The second he stopped moving, Domarus launched forward and released his sword art Explode Catapult. He tried to strike everything with swift fierceness, and merciless aggression.  However they were experienced, and thus even with his overpowering might, two of them were able to parry and even deflect his attacks.  The other two however, were not so lucky.  As such his fallen weapon activated and dealt devastating damage against one of them.  While dealing normal damage against the others.  When he saw how much health dropped he sighed.  Knowing this would be a long day.

  20. Domarus was informed about an event boss and decided to come.  Not at all because he was excited, far from it.  It was more or less because he felt obligated to get stronger so that he could help everyone escape this hellhole sooner.  After that...  He didn't know what to do.  Turn himself in?  Sulk in some rut?  He didn't know, and right now he didn't care too much.  Living a normal life wasn't what he deserved.  Of course another reason he was here was to help keep the players as safe as possible.  He reached the boss fight and noted that he was the... Fifth player?  That was bad.  That was really bad.  He was actually legitimately concerned.  He looked at his teleport crystal and looked up.  "I'm, not in a position to ask, but does everyone have a teleport crystal on hand?  These event fights can be the last thing you do if you aren't careful."  After that he fell silent again and pulled out his massive axe.  He placed it against the ground and leaned against it, not even noticing who he was fighting with.  His only focus was to keep every last one of them safe...

  21. As the two of them walked in silence, his thoughts went to the quest itself.  A questline where the only way to proceed through the story was to slaughter young hatchlings who'd done nothing evil, and were only defending themselves.  He wondered where it was going to lead.  What all of this meant...  He didn't know, but it didn't make his conscious any lighter.  They were only pigments and coding, but the thought of slaughtering innocents...  He had to enter his blood rage to do the deed without thinking about what he was actually doing.  Then he remembered Rhozarth, and when he had first met the dragon.  Floor nine if he wasn't mistaken.  He was chasing a massive flaming snake and a flaming dragon.  Both wearing black steel like armor on them, like an exoskeleton.  He killed the snake, and ended up crushing the dragon until it submitted to him.  Keres took the snake's offspring as her own familiar, though it had no abilities.  Little did he know he'd be killing that very dragon later in life because it was threatening the lives of others due to him no longer being able to control it...

  22. With the attention of the four zombies on Hestia now instead of Domarus, the massive player waited until they rushed passed him.  When they did he grabbed one of them by the arm and raised his axe in the air.  He let the blade fall down on it's legs, literally shattering one of it's legs completely off before slashing it across the back, flinging it into one of the other ones.  He then finished his sword art by striking that zombie.  At this point he was getting back into another combat blood rampage.  His focus was only on combat.  How he could devastate his enemies as quickly and brutally as possible.  Malakiir was watching this interaction and decided to grant a small boost of health once again, wanting to keep everyone safe, be useful during the fight, all while retaining his energy for the big fight coming up.  He certainly didn't want to be useless when it inevitably came upon the three of them...

  23. Despite the concern and guild she wore on her expressions, Domarus didn't notice.  When the shambling husks rushed at him and clawed past his armor, he didn't felt nothing.  And somehow that made him feel even more empty inside.  Was this because he felt he should feel pain?  That he should be punished for his past?  He wondered if this was why Keres was so obsessed with pain.  Either way he did hear Hestia's howl, though it sounded faint.  As if in the distance.  This was because his pounding heart was beating more and more, blocking out the other sounds.  Domarus shifted his axe so that he gripped it harder.  Actually putting some effort into this.  He took another deep breath.  He shifted his ax again as he rushed forward, slashing two across the legs and finishing his attack on one of their shoulders.  He felt his energy proc so he could continue.  Fine then.  That's what he'd do.  He tore his ax free of his victim and grabbed the fourth zombie as it rushed at him, grabbing it by the throat and tossing it back, forcing it onto it's back.

Miraak watched what happened and winced, holding out his staff to heal the two of them.  He tried not to expend too much energy so they'd have enough for their fight later on.

  24. Domarus walked behind Hestia silently as Miraak continued to observe the two quietly.  The tall red haired man's eyes trailing the ground, his mind lost in self destruction.  Despite his mind's current train of thought, he was able to hear the sounds of the oncoming zombies as well.  His eyes drifted up and saw the group of shambling monsters, before taking a deep breath in.  As he let the held breath go slowly, he moved his hand up to draw his massive ax.  Part of him caused a hesitation, wondering if he should keep going.  But the other part of him was reminded of what Hestia had said, and he grasped the handle of his ax.  He slowly drew it until it was freed from it's sheath.  The blade and his arm dropped down, the blade hitting the ground and dragging for a second before he grasped the handle with his left hand as well.  This was the first time he had to use two hands to carry his weapon, though not by lack of strength.  He dug his feet into the ground before activating charge and launching at his foe.  His blade managed to strike three of the zombies immediately in front of them, but his lack of willpower of late prevented him from slashing the third one.  A shadow hung over his face as he struck them.  He just wanted to get this over with.

Miraak watched the damage Domarus had dealt against the four and knew that they didn't need any healing yet.  Thus he chose to wait it out, and save up his energy.

Domarus and Mina managed to make it back to town with little issues.  Domarus remained silent through the entire trek.  He was depressed because Mina had reminded him that he had no right to be telling others how to get out of the pit.  He was a walking, rotting corpse of a shell.  He should be more concerned about his own damnation, and not about saving others..  What was really confusing and somewhat infuriating however, was that she demanded he take a rather powerful weapon.  A tier two fallen two handed axe.  He didn't deserve it.  He didn't want it.  But she demanded he take it anyway.  Thus, it lay in his inventory.  He had a feeling if he didn't use it she'd snap at him, so he felt like he had little choice but to use it.  Now they were on the third floor making their way out of the gates.  Soon they would be facing the third dragon hatching, slaying it, and moving on to slay the fourth one.  Hopefully this walking corpse could serve as a weapon on the frontlines.  At least destroying things he was good at...
