  1. As he looked on his reflection in bewilderment about what it meant of giving him power, he saw its health rapidly deplete to zero where it then shattered into pixels, leaving behind a small blue orb in its wake. Darius reached out and took the blue orb in his hand, where it dissipated and flowed over his outline, sinking into his skin. He was then given the notification that he gained the ability . He looked up to the clear sky as it slowly began to fade back into the jungle, pushing him from his adobe. He nodded to himself, re-equipped his gear, and left; never to return.
  2. He opened his eyes with a start, looking up to his reflection. His actual reflection. No longer black hair and crimson eyes, but dirty blond hair and sky blue eyes. It smiled to him and he just stared in bewilderment back. It held out a hand for him and he cautiously took it and his reflection helped him to his feet. "You've won. Live now and fear death no more. It is nothing to you compared to your hardships. As Bruce Lee once said,'Pray not for an easy life, but for the strength to endure a hard one'. I now give you the strength you need to go a step farther to fulfill your duty for those wh
  3. And so it was with those thoughts that Darius laid there, accepting his fate. He closed his eyes as his reflection came into his vision, listening to the soft rush of the waterfall, smelling the crisp air, feeling the humidity in the air. All in all, he was glad he could die in this world doing something with his life rather than rotting as a vegetable in a hospital in some city in the real world. It meant more to him. He breathed deep and everything negative in his body left him. And smiled. A genuine smile for the first time in so long that it felt foreign to him. Then something he never exp
  4. As Darius lay on his back, he observed his HP bar, which was in red. He tilted his head slightly to look at his reflections, which was untouched, as if it had regained all of its HP while Darius wasn't looking. He didn't understand how it had grown so strong so fast, regained so much health, decimated him completely. He lowered his head, feeling the urge to cry since he would die here, in this waterfall cove to himself. But he would not give his reflection the satisfaction of seeing him distress before death. As he heard its feet slapping off the ground as it drew near him he thought to himsel
  5. Darius now back peddled, trying to escape the onslaught of his reflection. It seemed to grow stronger and faster since their first bout. His reflection kicked out at Darius' side with its left leg. Darius took the hit and exhaled, lessening the impact. He did exactly what his reflection had done and reached down to hook his right arm around his reflections leg. As he started to pull it to spin it, it smiled at him and hopped up off the ground and back slightly, pulling Darius forward right into a savage kick from its right leg to Darius' chest, which sent him flying back onto his back.
  6. As Darius drew near his reflection, it suddenly kicked dirt up at his face. Darius moved his arms in the way, blocking the dirt, but as he did so, his reflection sprinted forward, punching Darius low in the gut. Darius ignored the false sensation to double over like you would in the real world and instead lashed out with his forearms from where they protected his face in an X shape, acting like scissors as they went to slam across each side of his reflection's head, but his reflection moved impossibly fast with such intense reflexes, Darius was startled for a second. It dropped its head back o
  7. They now faced off, a few feet away form each other, both taking a boxer stance. There was something unsettling about his reflection though. It was smirking; something Darius would never do. Darius then remembered what the reflections represented though; his fears and insecurities. He was not to anger, not to upset. He was to win and become stronger, as he always had done in the past. He nodded to his reflection, who stuck its tongue out at him in reply. They then started to take step by step towards each other.
  8. Darius' reflection took the kick in the side of its ribs, exhaling to cushion some of the blow. His reflection then grabbed his right leg with its left arm, hooking up under it and pulled, turning its body to the left and pulling Darius off his feet. He was then swung to his reflection's left, who let go, tossing Darius down to the ground. Darius got to his hands and knees and started to stand up, but not before his reflection had stumbled over and kicked him in the right side of the head with its right leg. Darius fell over onto his left side from the force, but went with it and rolled away f
  9. Bandit1, who had his face smashed in previously by Darius' buckler was the one who had called the retreat. He saw his friend getting dominated by Daeron, and Darius about to ravage another while the third stood in fear. The one standing in fear turned and sprinted away. Daeron finished the nearly-dead one. The one who Darius had disarmed, had started to awkwardly run away, holding his bruised arm. Darius bent over, picked up the disarmed sword, and through it like a spear after the man with a roar, his face twisted in rage. The sword slid through the bandit's torso about a foot before stopping
  10. Darius snarled, his face twisting into a monstrous mask. He had created a stalemate between the three. He pushed Bandit1 on his left back with his shield, easily overpowering the man. He then turned to Bandit3, who's sword was locked against Darius' dagger. He snarled at the Bandit, and went to slam his shield down on to the man's elbow joint to disarm him, which connected to the man's elbow, jarring his arm as he dropped the sword to the ground and taking one damage, stumbling back and grimacing. [1-3]- Bandit3 pulls his arm back, dodging the smash with his buckler. [4-8]- Darius smashes

  12. Darius had smashed Bandit2 in the face with his steel buckler. The bandit stumbled back in a daze. Darius roared and followed up, plunging the dagger deep into the defenseless bandit's stomach, dealing two damage; before smashing him again with his buckler to get the man off, dealing one more damage and making Bandit2 stumble past his friends, who were both following up with A horizontal attack from each side. Darius stepped back, charging 'Parry' with his dagger to try to block the enemy's dagger on his right and raising his buckler to block the enemy's sword on his left. [1-3]- Darius blo
  13. Darius' left hook was semi-blocked by the reflection. It raised its arm, taking the force of the hit, but its forearm smashed into its own face and the momentum made him stumble to the side to its left. Darius stepped forward, his face being inhumanely stoic the entire time, as he brought a kick with is right leg up to go into the right side of his reflection while exhaling to make the strike harder.
  14. Darius lashed out with his right leg, adding extra momentum and force to it from the spin. He was aiming for the inside of his reflection's left thigh. If he could hit it, his reflection would be unbalanced. Darius did hit his reflection's thigh. His reflection's face had been covered to block the blow with Darius' left fist, so it didn't see the kick coming. As his reflection was hit, its face cringed it pain as its midsection was pushed to the left, creating a sideways 'V' shape with its body. It's block on its face had faltered, creating an opening. It couldn't do much since it was unbalan
  15. Darius stepped forward with his left foot, reeling his right arm back, still leaving his fingers loose, while slightly extending his left arm towards his reflection. It looked as if Darius would go for the Haymaker right away. His reflection knew better though. As Darius feigned with the Haymaker, he shot his left arm forward the extra foot, trying to catch his reflection off guard with a light, but shocking strike to face; Darius' fingers clenching together into a fist that spun at the last second to gain extra momentum and pack more of a punch; since most didn't expect an attack from the le
  16. Darius would test it. He needed to know whether it expected him to fight the way he normally did, or that if the knowledge that it will know everything he does will influence it to believe Darius will act unnaturally. But... it would be doing the same thing. It would have the same thought process as Darius. To analyze what strategy he would use. A wisp of anger flared within Darius, but died as fast as it came. His face was nothing but a stoic state. It would need to be to defeat himself. Enough thinking thought. Enough of it all. They were within striking distance. Darius stared into his own
  17. Darius and his reflection took the same stance at the same time after they locked eyes. Feet spread apart, hands up in front of their face in a boxer stance, but their hands were held loose, not bunched into fists. They stared each other down for what seemed like eternity before moving in unison, stepping foot in front of foot towards each other to cover the three yard gap between them. Darius wondered how the fight would turn out. He was fighting something that knew his every move. Something that acted exactly like he did. He took a deep breath, exhaling loudly. He dismissed all thoughts from
  18. Darius went and stood on the flat stones in front of the rushing waterfall. Before he faced himself, he must be equal. There could be no advantages given other than the mind working better. Darius opened his menu, a truly neutral and stoic expression on his face as he unequipped everything, down to his underwear. He then sat down on the stones and closed his eyes. He opened them a few seconds later to find his reflection standing before him, only in its underwear too. It nodded, whether in approval of Darius stepping closer to beating his fears and insecurities, or for whatever reason it wante
  19. Darius had held his buckler high, but the sword had glanced off the side of it, still coming down and slashing across Darius' shoulder. He growled, his face full of hatred. It was just his luck to be attacked on their way back to getting his heavy armor. He lashed out with his buckler, attempting to deal damage and stun Bandit 2 with a ferocious growl. [1-3]- Bandit2 dodges. [4-8]- Darius strikes Bandit2 in the face, dealing one damage and stunning him. [9-10]- Darius strikes Bandit2 in the face hard, dealing two damage and knocking him over. Darius: 12/13 Bandit2: 9/9 Bandit3: 9/9
  20. Darius returned nearly a week later to the same spot he was before. He had a different air about him. An air that was never existent in him before. He had changed. He had driven all insecurities and fear from himself. His beliefs would NOT allow weakness. He stood in the same spot he sat before finding the waterfall and closed his eyes. Almost instantly he opened his eyes, being transported to the waterfall area he had been in before. Now he was ready to truly face and defeat his reflection.
  21. Darius had been gaping at the ground in astonishment at how fast his world had come crashing down around him because of this reflection. He looked up to his reflection, only to see it wear a neutral face as it observed the way he acted. He started to visibly shake. The reflection's sword was stalled in the air, where it had stopped after disarming Darius. The reflection looked him in the eye before bringing it down diagonally the way it came, slashing across Darius' chest again, doing three more damage. He stumbled backwards, letting a out a weak moan. He stumbled backwards more, shaking viole
  22. As Darius swung downwards, his reflection swung diagonally upwards to the right while using 'Parry'. His reflection's blade caught Darius' in the wedge where the crosspiece met the blade, gaining leverage and flinging it out of Darius' grasp into the waters under the waterfall. Darius gaped in shock at what just happened. It had disarmed him easily with one move. It had used his anger against him. Anger brought power, but recklessness. It used that against him. It thought rather than did. Darius found yet another flaw: his rage.
  23. Darius took deep, heavy breaths. He would show this reflection of his. He growled, charging 'Sonic Leap' as his blade glowed crimson. He pulled his hand back, charging at his reflection, and the last few steps he launched at it, roaring in pure hate as he slashed downwards. As Darius had charged his reflection, it had charged an ability of its own, its blade glowing a bright blue. As Darius used his ability, it used its ability.
  24. He watched as the blade of a sword phased through the left side of his shield, sliding through it without resistance. He was too shocked to move or dodge and the blade kept going, right across his chest in a massive blow dealing three damage. He fell backwards onto his back and looked up, eyes wide as his reflection let out a chain of laughter. Darius understood now. It wasn't supposed to be a reflection of his fears and insecurities, it was supposed to reveal them to him. His first was not being able to block or rely on his armor... which explained why the blade phased through and his armor d
