  1. He lived on this floor? Well, she could see why some people might enjoy it. By all that was holy this was one hella sight. Of course, it wasn't at her speed, but when she went to find a 'home', who knew where it would be. Even she had no idea, but she'd find it eventually. She always did after all. He said she'd needed to speak to some old man inside, so shrugging, she did just that. Another old man, or NPC. Did they have some obsession with them or something? She busted through the door, and it wasn't hard to spot the NPC who would give her the quest. She accepted it and walked out, and true to his word, there sat a boulder. She clentched her hand into a fist, Finally.

"So this is the boulder then eh? Doesn't look so tough, i bet i can crack it open" She said confidently as she charged forwards and laid a punch. But, nothing. The girl frowned. What the hell?!

  2. If someone were to ask Embers if she was stalking him, she'd deny it and say she was out hunting monsters. Of course, that statement was nothing short of a lie. She was stalking Stryder, had been all day. Ever since he had brought her up to where she learnt Martial Arts. He, interested her. She wouldn't deny it to herself, but no one else needed to know the truth of the matter. Mostly she sat on the roof of his store, waiting and watching. She spotted him move onto the tree, and grinned. She doubted he knew she was there, how could he? Normal people don't expect someone they just met to stalk them. More entertainment for her.

She looked at the tree, then the roof. That was totally in jumping range. She drew her Battle Axe and gave it a spin. She grinned wide, surpressing her laughter. Oh how this would be glorious! She leap forwards, and let out a mighty battle cry as her axe slammed into the tree. She wondered how he would react as she swung a leg, getting a 'seat' in the tree. And that's when the laughter rolled out.

  3. Sword Art Online, the games base mechanics weren't too hard to comprehend. Of course, it didn't mean she had to like it. She'd always been like this with games, she got frustrated early on due to the simple fact that it crippled her ability to her, well herself. She wasn't weak, she was a force of nature that everything should move out the way off, or get burnt down if they resist. To know that she, a force of nature, was crippled by a damnable level based system. She punched the ground out of anger, and again, and again.

Calming herself down, she quickly spotted some more of those herb looking things, grabbing them and adding them into her inventory. 2 down, 3 to go. Of course, she'd been out in the fields for what felt like hours, while it was sub 10 minutes. She let out a sigh as she grabbed her Battle-Axe, and made several practice swings with it. It was a weapon she'd need to master, and while she didn't get any exp doing it now, she felt nice to be familar with the weapon.

  4. Fighting...a boulder?! Surely she'd misheard him, right? A boulder can't fight back! She knew it wouldn't hurt her physically, the game didn't allow it. So what was the point of....OHHHH. She realized that when he said 'fighting' a boulder, he meant she'd punch it until it broke. She grinned, and cracked her knuckles as she continued her hike up. The battle axe that sat on her back was worthless in this scenario, this was back down to her and her fists. Like the good old-days.

Embers threw a firey look over at Stryder, one that seemed to burn and glow from the idea, from the mere prospect, of violence. "Laugh at me too hard and i'll shove you down this cliff" She said, her voice was light, amused. Was that her making a joke, or was she serious and disguising it as a joke? Her voice said joke, but that fire within her eyes, that seemed to radiate outwards...

Upon reaching the top, she let out a low whistle. "Well damn, take a look at this view. Creator-people really went all in for this eh?"

  5. The red-haired girl continued to rest up against the tree. She wondered what the real world had done to her body, was it still at home, or hospital? She smiled softly, wherever it was, it was being cared for. Could they see her, her friends, her mother? Could they see what is occurring within the game itself, or where they must as blind to the inside as she was to the outside? It was impossible to know, and she didn't like that lack of knowledge. She hoped they couldn't see her, just know she lived and would get out. That's all they needed to know, the rest, she could handle on her own.

She placed her weapon back onto her back, and dragged herself to her feet. It was time to get moving, she'd spent long enough sitting down. She rechecked the place she'd found her first mateiral, but no such luck. Maybe it hadn't respawned back yet, did things like that respawn? She wasn't sure, but that was nothing new in this game. She would learn all its rules, soon...As she got stronger.

  6. After her first successful find, the girl had expected to blitz through everything else and get all the materials. Of course, this was not to be as she searched, and searched, to no avail. She let out an angry sigh, but didn't lash out despite so much of her body begging her to do so. It was her most common reaction normally, punch or hit or yell. But this stupid game wouldn't let her use her might for nothing. Instead, she had to bow to its will, which she would....for now.

"Urgh, this sucks" she declared to, well, no one. There was no one around to hear her anger at least, which was both a blessing and a curse. A curse because she'd rather have someone to vent at, and a blessing because if there was, they didn't deserve to be lit up. But, it was neither here nor there, as the girl rested herself against a tree trunk. She drew out her battle axe and looked at it. Despite the fact it looked impressive, even she knew she needed an upgrade. But where, and by whom? She would have to figure that out, eventually.

  7. Embers let out a sigh as she walked around, poking her head around trees and at shrubs. It was boring, and even the fire within her heart, that had kindled her to start this quest, had started to burn itself out. Part of her wished she could pull out her battle-axe or punch her way to get what she wanted. It worked often enough before, but that was in the real world where she knew the rules of reality. This one was different, and she knew that, as much as she may have  missed the real world, this world controlled her. With a sigh of defeat, she restarted her hunt.

And this time, it yielded results as she manged to grab what she needed, which was a handful of herbs. Stuffing them into her inventory, she smiled. Finally, things were coming around her way! About damn time too, or else the world had better watch the hell out. After all, even if the game slowed her down, it wouldn't stop her. She was getting out of this game, and anything in her path would get get down!

  8. The girl strode out onto the field just outside the town, and sighed. She wondered how long it would take, she didn't wanna waste time where she didn't have to. She needed to level up, get her equipment and get moving. This game wouldn't wait for her to power up, she had to grab her power and burn through the world itself. Nothing would stop her, nothing ever had before in the real world, and nothing in this world neither.

With that fire keeping her soul warm, she began to hunt for materials. However, she wasn't entirely sure what it was she was looking for and struggled to get what she needed. She picked up what she thought was the right item, only to sigh as it was not the case, and threw it back onto the ground. She hated to admit it, but this was far from something that she could fight or cleave her way through, and it frustrated her. She'd always been good with her fists, all this gathering, crap, just wasn't her style. Still, she persevered. Because one day, this would be behind her, and she'd burn. Oh yes. She grinned. She'd burn brighter than anyone before her, and cut down all who stood in her path.

  9. So Fire was her nickname eh? She grinned, she'd had worse, ohh she'd had worse nicknames then that. This kid, she liked him. He wasn't a timid piece of [censored] like some others she ran into when she was struggling, but rather, he was alive. Not as alive as herself, he didn't burn after all. But then again, not many did. She'd only met a few who burnt like her, but, that didn't mean he was a total loss.

Stryder....Stryder. She tried to come up with something, a nickname for the kid, but she didn't come up with nothing. Shame really, maybe if she ran into him she'd come up with some creative nicknames. But, that was a problem for another day. Despite the altitude, Embers' grin never faltered, in fact, it grew. The hunger within her eyes, a burning raging passion for life itself radiated from her.

She laughed, loud, booming and full of life, at him when he called her out for not being that old. While she was tall, standing at 5'12, she still had a girlish charming face, with the body of a women to back her up. Back home, the boys went crazy for it. "I ain't no kid, but i can see it in ya. Your eyes lack it, you may walk like someone who carries the world on their shoulders, but you ain't seen real hardships" For a moment, it vanished. That fire, that passion, all of it from her face and eyes. Replacing it, the look a sister might give to a sibling when they tried their best at something, but it vanished after arriving, killed in the inferno of her burning blood. "But enough of that crap, so tell me, this martial arts crap, what i gotta do? Fight someone?"

  10. Exiting the old mans store, she checked what was needed of her. She needed to collect 5 Tier 1 Materials from just outside the town eh? Didn't sound too hard, but, this was a basic level quest. It wasn't meant to be hard, but something that players, just like her, would get into the swing of this game. Did it annoy her, yes, the game was condescending her in a way, even if she was a level 1 player. She took a deep breath to try and calm the fire that was starting to gather embers within her. It was too soon to lose herself like that, and besides, if all went according to plan, she wouldn't even need to draw her battle axe from her back. It was a simply gather quest. With that in mind, she began to walk to the out skirts of the town. She did pause, for a moment, she'd gone out plenty of times, and this, was like any other. She closed her eyes and smiled, this world was not prepared for the fire the burnt within her soul. Not by a long shot!

  11. Fire, eh? Well, she couldn't deny it. Everyone back home did say she burnt in a very unique way. Of course, that knowledge never stopped her before, and her grin grew at the memories. Of course, when he put his hand on her shoulder, part of her wanted to react, well, less than pleasantly, but she stayed her emotions, if only because Fly-Boy was useful, and why would she toss away someone willing to help her get kicked off in this game?

"This way, eh? Well, hurry up, i'll leave you behind otherwise" She said as she started the hike towards the top of the mountain, before throwing a hungry look back at Stryder "It's Embers, by the way. But Fire works too" She said back to him, a light amusement in her voice as she started walking backwards, eyeing up everything that Stryder was "Hell, you're barely out your teens, are ya kid?"

  12. It took her a short walk, and she eventually found the house she was looking for. She opened the door, and was indeed met by some old man. No, not a man, an NPC. She had to get her head around that. It was a basic game mechanic. Still, she raised her hand in front of her face and it looked so real, yet, it wasn't. Urgh this game got to her! Still, it was just something she'd take in stride.

"Oi, Zack-Boy, this where i start the quest?"

The old man looked over at her, despite her rough tone and simply nodded. The quest journal popped up in front of her, and she grinned a hungry grin. This is it, the start of her adventure. She cracked her neck from side to side and, with a grin, she spun around on the heel of her boots and headed for the door.

Watch out world, I'm coming for you.

  13. Despite asking a question of where she was meant to go, she HADN'T been expected a reply and she threw a deadly look over at whoever had spoken as one of her hands turned into a fist out of instinct. She slowly opened her hand, but the glare in her eyes didn't vanish. Was it anger, suspicion, who knows, in part, even the girl herself wasn't sure. Her fire in her veins had started to ignite, and she knew there was only a single direction things would go after that.

"Its on this mountain, i've been looking ages and i ain't found nothing" She said "Been pissing me off trying to find it" In reality it had been closer to about 10 minutes, but who was counting. She walked towards Stryder and, as he moved close, he'd see it, everyone did. The look in her eyes, a burning hunger that grew more and more with every passing moment. A sly grin ate at the side of her face, like a predator about to begin a hunt.

"Well, come-on fly boy, wouldn't say no to a little help"

  14. So this was the second floor huh? Well, if nothing else, it had a lot of hills. Embers had heard that, somewhere on the 2nd floor, she could earn matial arts. While she did enjoy the idea of large battle axes in battle, after the hours the girl had spent using her bare hands to fight, she knew she had to get it. However, after arriving on the 2nd floor and walking around for what felt like ages, she honestly had no idea where the hell she was going. When she heard about it, they hadn't said where you got it, nor how. Two things that, now she thought about it, she should have asked.

"Crap, well done Rissa, you really done it this time" She berated herself, but instead of anger, she then started laughing hard and shaking her head at herself. She'd been so confident that this game would simply bend to her, but now, she was less certain. She grabbed the weapon on her back, a large Two-Handed Battle Axe. The girl grinned, this weapon, this style, felt so right. She spun the weapon in her hand, and even took a few practice swings, each time her grin grew.

"Hell yes, now...where the hell is that stupid martial arts place?" She asked, well, no one in particular, as she began walking in the direction of a hill. Maybe she would see it from up there?

Embers blinked once, then again. This was real. It had taken her a long time to accept the reality that had been forced upon her, and for days, she did nothing but sleep to not snap. Of course, eventually, she ran into a player that made things very clear. This was how things were, and she was being useless to help! Angry, she shoved them into a wall, told them to go screw themselves, and stormed away. And the worst part? He was right. She wasn't helping anyone, not even herself. With that knowledge, she sighed. She punched a wall hard, multiple times, of course, that served many purposes. The first made her look insane, but the second. It ignited her blood. She never really understood it, not did she care too. Once she got going, she was an unstoppable force of flames.

She marched forwards on the war path, and after a quick flip through her inventory, she knew where she was going. Some old person called Zackariah, while she doubted it would be enough to justify the fire within her soul, it was a start. She would become strong and crush this game, with a smirk on her face.

  17.

    Profile
    Username: Embers
    Real name: Larissa Williams
    Age: 21
    Gender: Female
    Height: 5'12 (Or 6'0)

    Appearance:

Standing taller than most, her hair and eyes share the colour burning red . Her legs are long and powerful, as well as her arms have clear signs of physical strength. Her face still retains its girlish looks, but within her eyes, a firestorm of emotion burns and erupted constantly. Being 21, she has curves on her hips, a slight hourglass figure, but her curves aren't hugely dominate. (See Image)

    History:

Born in a a split family, it wasn't hard to see what she had inherited from each of her parents. During half the year, Larissa stayed with her mother who, while kind-hearted, lived what she would call a 'dull life', doing the same activities day in and out with no excitement. While Larissa could see how it gave her mother a sense of satisfaction, she was born with a fire in her heart. Her father, when she was with him, would always have some crazy adventure lined up that would ignite passion within the girls blood. It was a wild nature that could never be properly quelled.

Reaching into high school, despite trying her best, Larissa ran into hurdle after hurdle. At first, she struggled socially. She was too much like her father and the other girls, with their talk of clothes and shoes and celebreties, bored her immensely. Of course, being at a young age, she went to hang out with the boys instead. While slow to accept her, she bloomed once she showed she could throw down with the best of them. This wildness only escalated as she grew older and began to hang out with a tougher crowd. Getting into fights and making stupid dares. All the while, the girl struggled academically. Despite turning her focus on it, she couldn't learn the way the system was and, despite fighting it for years, her mother accepted the fact her daughter would never be the genius she had hoped for.

However, at 18 years old, Larissa broke. Her father passed away and the girl lost the one person who understood what it meant to have a fire in your heart. So, in her grief, she lost herself. She'd drink during the day till she passed out, and go out to bars and clubs just looking for fights, to punch and try and forget her pain. It wasn't easy, but after a month, she felt empty inside, and a few days later, she was arrested for assault. She punched a police officer in the face during a bar fight she'd intentionally started.

During her time behind bars, the same officer she'd punched visited her often. At first, she responded violently, even hitting him ,but he kept coming back. Eventually, she started to talk, and after she was released, she shared his apartment. It was a long time before she was able to function, but she managed. Just over a year after her father died, her life was back on track, mostly Even at 21, she still shares an apartment with the same police officer. She picked up a stable job, and to reward herself, she purchased a game. Sword Art Online.

    Personality
Larissa has a rather simple attitude towards life. Do what you want, enjoy it and take no crap from nobody. She doesn't mince words, nor pleasantries. She'll tell you what she thinks and won't be afraid to break people with brutal honesty. Upon meeting her, she doesn't act reserved or shy, rather, she is still her loud confident self. If someone can't handle her being herself, then she won't waste the effort of dragging them through hell itself, all with a smile on her face.

"Life's always trying to drag me down, and i refuse to bend"

    Virtues:

Positive: It doesn't matter to Larissa the mood, nor the situation. She'll try to make it good, if that's through a bad joke that only makes her laugh, she refuses to let her spirit damped and keeps its burning and ignited within her. While this doesn't mean she'll drag someone who is feeling sad into a good mood, she ensures that she is happy and, partly hopes, that her good mood will bring that to others.
Upbeat: Larissa made herself a promise, she'd never cry again. To this end, she's always in a good mood, trying to make people laugh, laugh herself and enjoy life. This can be contagious and bloom if in the right situation. Of course, even when everything is collapsing around her, she refuses to lose this attitude, even if it often does resolve into a burning anger. Larissa would rather lose herself in a fury of anger than sink back into sadness
Passionate: Once Larissa sets her heart to something, she goes in with everything she is. Yelling, smiling, its hard to get her to shut up about something she cares about, or someone. A whole heart of love is what she has, and its one that even she struggles to put out once its ignited. Larissa fits the expression of 'having your heart upon your sleeve' as emotions comes flowing out of her like a waterfall, not always the best way to live, but its hers and no one can take that away from her.

    Flaws:

Brutally Honest: Larissa won't tell you what you want to hear, she'll tell you the truth. While this can be helpful, it can also crush someones spirit. It isn't her trying to be mean, but rather, she doesn't put value on lies. Often times it can have rather brutal consequences, but it hasn't stopped her before. A smirk and the truth, that's what people need. Not white lies and whispers of what didn't happen.

Hard: Once the fire within Larissa's veins gets started, bringing her down can be a struggle. She burns so brightly that reason may not bring her down, but rather, fighting fire with fire. Sate her hunger, butt heads with her and she'll cool down. Often times she gets into sticky situations thanks to her wild emotions, not that's shes ever done anything to quell them. Stubbornness runs through her, and for better or for worse, she refuses to change who she is for the benefit of others.

Flirt: Larissa is a flirt for a simple reason, its fun. She's more than aware that people, both males and females, stare and she enjoys them. She'll flirt, tease and imply often, but its often just her being affectionate more than her being invested into someone. She'll intentionally lead people on because she finds it fun, and while she means no harm out of it, she's had to punch a few people who pushed their luck with her.
