  1. Joseph looked at Kotone and offered a weak smile. He knew she was disappointed in him, especially after his display earlier on. He couldn't let himself be humiliated by a boar, and a virtual one at that! He went into a fighting stance, ready to strike at any moment. He spun his blade slowly and rhythmically, bobbing along with it. He slowly circled the boar and he was very cautious and focused, he seemed like a completely different person.

Then, his moment came. Joseph linged forward much faster than he did before and the blade cut straight into the boar's hide. However, Joseph wasn't done yet, he pushed the blade further and the blade appeared on the other side of the boar, ending it's virtual life. It disappeared into red pixels and he sheathed his rapier with a graceful motion. He then smiled and returned to his normal self. "How was that, Kotone?" He said with a confident grin.

  2. Finding himself next to two people around his age, he smiled. He didn't mind the girl's attitude since it was probably a normal reaction, plus she apologized right after. He first looked at her and showed a weak smile. "No, I should apologize, it was my fault. I'm pretty new here, and by that, I mean I haven't done much yet for the few weeks I have been here." He said with a smile.

He then turned to the man and smiled at him. "My name is Joseph. Nice to meet you Vigilon." He said with a polite expression. He then turned to the girl again. "And what's your name?" He then walked over to a table and sat down, gesturing the two others over. "Let's sit down, don't wanna bump into other people anymore." He was interested to know what they were going to do, theyw ere clearly more experienced then he was and it would be good to talk to them, maybe learn from them.

  3. Joseph was sitting in a park in the Town of Beginning, eating an apple, and minding his own business. He was staring off into the distance, lazing about and thinking about his new life, and what would happen to his old life. As he thought about these things, time started flying by, and before he knew it, the sun was starting to set. He got up and stretched, deciding he had enough daydreaming.

He started walking around aimlessly, seeing where the wind would take him now. Maybe to a local inn, or back to the park. Maybe he would meet someone new, or make a new friend. Joseph was free to do what he wanted. He was roaming around and found himself in front of a tavern. He decided to enter and see who was inside. However, as soon as he opened the door, he bumped into someone.

  4. Joseph nodded back at Kotone with a weak smile, he did not mean to let her down, but he was visibly shaken by it. He was trying to shake it off and he was failing. Joseph held his rapier close and he was stiff, almost like a statue. He then saw Kotone's critical and he smiled, he loosened up a bit. He thought that he could do it. "Yeah, just one or two more hits will do it!" He screamed with excitement as it was very wounded now.

Joseph walked toward it, seemingly with confidence, as he lunged forward to strike the extremely weakened beast. He was slower than before and he still hesitated, causing him to miss the strike. Not only that but the boar was so close to him now that he screamed out of fear. He jumped back and tensed up once more.

  5. Joseph visibly gulped. He looked nervous, he wasn't used to the guard system yet. He mostly relied on dodging. However, if that's what it took to tske out the boar, he would have to do it. He switched to guard stance. His face was unsure and hesitant and his hands shook a little. The boar charged at him, causing him to flinch. He switched out of guard stance and jumped out of the way, scared.

Joseph was very nervous and scared, and the sight of the animal chasing after him caused an instinctual reaction. He was dissapointed in himself. He looked over to Kotone and nodded. "You can do it, Kotone. I'm sorry, I just can't, I'll try the old way for now." He said as he started to move around, bobbing and weaving, waiting for the time to strike.

  6. Joseph stood up and searched for the nearest thorny bush. He was calm now, remembering that they don't feel pain anymore, at least, not in this game. He rreached into the bush without a fuss and felt around. It felt like nothing was there. He was about to give up and go to another bush when he felt a little bulb in the dirt. He tugged on it a bit and found the thornbrush herb he was looking for.

Joseph smiled as he got it and put it in his inventory. "Alright! Two down, three to go. Huh, I wonder what the old man is gonna make. It must be important, at least I hope it is. I hope he didn't send me on errand duty. Though, I guess I wouldn't really mind." He said with a casual smile. He looked up at the bright sky and squinted. "It's a bright day today." He said as he slowly drifted into his own thoughts.

  7. Joseph goes to stab the boar but misses entirely. He grunts in frustration as this clumsy, yet somehow evasive boar keeps dodging their attacks. It's taking two people on at the same time, bleeding profusely, nearly dead, but still dodging perfectly. It's so unlikely to miss, yet it still happened.

"This stupid boar!" He screamed with anger. He then realized that it was rude and improper. He composed himself and readied himself for the next strike. "Your turn now. Let's see if you can turn the tide Kotone." He said with a focused stare at the boar.

  8. "Alright, now, on to the next worst. Thorn brush herb." He said as he got out of the mud. He walked toward sthe forest area, not far off from the plains and made it there without too much effort. He searched around for a bush filled with thorns, as the name suggests. He stared at the sharp bush with hesitation as he didn't want to get pricked by a thorn, but what can you do.

"Come on Joshua, you can do it. Not much longer now and you can go back to the old man's home, have some tea, relax for a bit. You just need to get through this. It's just a sharp bush! What are you afraid of?" He said, psyching himself up. He reached into the bush and felt around. No thornbrush herb to be found. Surprisingly, no pain as well. "Oh right, there is no pain anymore, game rules. Almost forgot. Well, next bush it is." He said with a sigh.

  9. Joseph was cocky, he thought that this boar would be child's play. He walked up to the boar that tripped over and stabbed it. At least, that was the plan. He walked up to the boar, expecting no resistance. As soon as he got close, the boar stood up and was ready to charge. Joseph was surprised and he jumped backwards.

His attempt to stab the boar failed and he was pretty embarassed. Looks like they both missed that turn. He blushed a little out of embarassment. He twisted his rapier around to get flexible again. "That was pretty bad, shouldn't have let my guard down. Let's take him out, Kotone." He said with a serious tone. He was going to take it seriously now.

  10. Joseph started roaming around the open plains area, searching for any sign of the ehrbs and mushrooms that the old man was looking for. "Hmm, what did he need again? I'm pretty sure he needed some common river weed herb, maybe a little thornbrush herb. There were also black mushrooms that he needed, and a little bit of blue shrooms. Not to mention the mud seedling. God, I don't wanna do that one. Well, might as well start with the worst one. Mud seedling it is." He said with a sigh as he walked over to a mud puddle.

"Please, please be the only mud puddle I need to find. I really don't want to search for more mud puddles, they're just so gross and icky and UGH!" He said as he stuck his hand in the mud. He felt around, extremely grossed out and found a seedling. He pulled it out carefully and kept it in his inventory. He sighed then smiled and jumped in success, also to get out of the mud puddle. "One down, four to go."

  11. Joseph left the humble abode of Zackariah and went on his way. Not much happened as he passed by the same streets of the Town of Beginnings, a place he called home, at least, for the past few weeks. He was starting to get used to the scenery and settling in to the surroundings of this game. It feels a lot more natural to him now, sometimes he even forgets that he is in a game. That's why questions like what Zackariah asked are important, to remind him to escape this game.

These thoughts took up his mind as he wandered off into the wild. Before noticing it, he lost sight of the town entirely and saw nothing but green hills. He saw plains filled with boars and bears, forests filled with insects, rivers filled with fish, and more. It was a breathtaking sight and Joseph was in awe. He then remembered his goal and he shook off this beautiful sight, though he won't forget it soon.

  12. Zackariah led him into his living room, holding out a seat for Joseph. Joseph sat, trying to be polite. Zackariah brought out tea and set up a set on a table next to them. "Would you like some tea?" Zackariah asked. "Oh, uh, sure. Anything would be lovely." Joseph said, accepting only because it was polite. Zackariah smiled and brought out a kettle of tea. Joseph took it and said his thanks before sipping it. It tasted pretty good, better than he expected. It was a pleasant surprise and he smiled brightly after drinking it. They had a casual talk and Joseph felt very happy, it was nice getting to know Zackariah.

After a while, Joseph decided he had to do what he came here to do. "So, what do you need to make your potions?" Joseph asked, finishing his tea right after. "Well, I need a few common herbs and mushrooms in the forest, it's no problem to gather it for young people like you. Just half an hour away if I'm remembering right." Zackariah said. Joseph nodded, he stood up and held his rapier at his side. "Well. I'll be on my way then, be back in around an hour and a half hopefully."

  13. Zechariah started asking questions about Joseph's life and how he got to where he was now. Joseph happily obliged, not wanting to hide anything from the wise old man. "Well, I used to go to college before I was here and I was taking up Music and Entrepreneurship. It was challenging at times but I got through it pretty well, not the top of the class, but up there. If I worked a bit harder I probably could have, but why waste effort on something so futile and inconsequential. I also had a night shift singing in a bar, had loads of fun times there. Met a lot of friends and partied hard. Anyway, enough about me, how about you?" Joseph said with a polite smile,

Zackariah (spelled it right this time) smiled politely. "Well, not much. I lived here ever since, making potions and giving them to adventurers and travelers. However, I'm old now and I have trouble collecting the materials I need. These old bones aren't what they used to be." He said with a chuckle. "Ah! Here is my home. Shall we head inside, we may speak more there." He said with a smile. Joseph nodded and they entered inside his home.

  14. Joseph starts wandering around the Town of Beginnings aimlessly, wondering about what to do next. He absent-mindedly walks into a few people on the way and he apologizes profusely. Other than that, nothing else is going on. He didn't have a job or anywhere to go yet and he was just bored. He didn't want to fight any monsters yet either, since they were dangerous at his level. Instead, he just roams the Town of Beginnings, waiting for an opportunity to actually begin.

Joseph sighed, bored of just walking around and looking for something interesting to do. He decided to lay down under a tree, maybe nap for a bit. As he walked towards the park, he saw an old man sitting on a bench, staring off into the distance like he was. He figured he should talk to him, elders were usually wise. "Hey there, sir. What're you thinking about?" He asked. "Oh, nothing. I'm just thinking about potions I could make if I had materials." The man said. "Oh? Could I help?" Joseph asked the man, wanting to do something different. "Why, that would be wonderful! Zechariah by the way! And you are?" The man said with a bright smile. "Joseph, pleased to meet you, Zechariah." Joseph said with a polite smile.

Zechariah led Joseph to his home, where they could discuss further.

  15. Joseph took another lunge without another word, lunging forward at the boar and stabbing deep into the open wound. The boar roared loudly in pain as the blade cut open its hide again and again. A critical hit did so much damage to this boar. "Not much longer now! Just a few more hits like this and we can take it down. Hell, we might be able to take a second one down after this one." He said with arrogance and a bright smile on his face.

He was honestly surprised the boar didn't charge at him yet. He was doing a lot of damage to it and  and the boar was still charging at Kotone. Speaking of, Kotone was doing great. She stabbed the boar deeply, enough to gravely injure it. It was like their rapiers were in tune and made a harmonious melody. Joseph started to bob and weave in quick succession while humming. "Come at me you big pork chop!" He taunted the boar.

  16. "Right, let's get it Kotone! This boar can't handle the two of us!" He said as he lunged forward. The boar was focusing on Kotone so he managed to stab it in the side once more. The boar growled as the blade slid into its hide and blood splattered around it. Joseph pulled the blade out and stayed ready.

He looked at Kotone who looked a bit frustrated. He smiled at her. "Hey, it's ok. Just try to stay loose and look for opportunities to strike. The rapier is a weapon that needs grace and timing, just a little more practice and you'll get it for sure. Now, let's kill this thing!" He said with a confident smile. He wanted to help her and thought that this was a great way to do just that.

  17. Joseph was walking around the field and decided he might as well start training and getting stronger. He was playing a VRMMORPG, he needed to start playing the game. He didn't want to fight alone though. He looked around for anyone fighting boars around his level with no luck at that point.

He turned around, about to give up when he saw a girl fighting a boar in the distance. Neither of them hit each other so he thought that they were probably around his level. He rushed over and drew his rapier. He focused on the boar that was attacking the girl and flanked it. Once it dodged the girl's attack, he stabbed it in the side before standing next to the girl. "Hope you don't mind if I join in. I don't think I could handle one alone. Joseph, by the way, nice to meet you." He said with a bright smile as he awaited her reply and the boar's retaliation.

  18. "It's been a long while since then, since I got trapped here. Yet, I'm still here, not doing much as always. I should probably start playing this game soon, after all, there isn't much else to do around here. I might as well get used to life here." Joseph said to himself as he sat under a tree. He stood up and dusted off his clothes and started walking around aimlessly. He hadn't done much at all yet in his time here. He just stayed in the first floor lazily, he didn't even try to fight any monsters yet.

So, here he is, standing around in the starting city. He looks puzzled and lost in thought right now, seemingly unsure of what to do. He's grumbling a bit to himself as he considers his options. "Maybe I should just start fighting those monsters in the area, they could probably make me stronger. Though I'm not sure if I could do it and death is a very real threat in here. Maybe I should look for a job, settle in here, earn some money. That seems like such a hassle though." He says to himself before sighing. He just stands there in the middle of the road, thinking and waiting for something to do.

    About: History/personality

    History:

Joseph is a student in a prestigious college. His parents are successful entrepreneurs who want their child to be successful as well. However, Joseph doesn't want to run a business, he wants to be an entertainer, a performer. His parents made him take the Entrepreneurship Course in college, alongside Music so he can decide later on in his life.

Joseph dorms in his college and he is fairly popular arouund the college. He has good grades and many good friends. He works a night shift in a bar as a singer, with a fair amount of fans from his school. He loves to sing, play the piano, and generally talk to other people. He was never into sports but he kept in shape, jogging and basic exercises to stay healthy.

Joseph decided to pick up this game to make new friends across the world and maybe find a girlfriend. He wanted to have fun and to have realistic adventures in a fantasy world. He thought that he would have a great time in the game, exploring and living a new life.

    Personality:

Joseph is a friendly person. He is optimistic and attracts many people with his bright outlook on life. He loves making people smile or laugh and he enjoys the joy that everyone has around him. He is flirty to people he likes and he tries to start relationships with them. However, when things start to get serious he gets flustered and shy. He never had a girlfriend before due to this.

    Virtues:

Fun-Loving: Joseph is fun-loving. He will always search for something fun to do. He always makes it to every gathering of friends and is the first to drink, perform, joke, and party. He finds the joy in every activity and tries to turn everything into a game, even though they are literally inside a game.

Protective of Friends: Joseph is very protective of his friends. He will try his ebst to keep them out of harm's way and keep them from suffering, whether physical, mental, or emotional. He always has a soft spot for his friends, the people that he loves. He would sooner die than let them fall, although he wouldn't wish for that either.

Intelligent: Joseph is smart, he always keeps a cool head and uses logic in every decision. He uses his education in his decisions. He avoids being rash or head-strong and takes time to calculate and analyze the pros and cons of every situation, solution, and decision. He is often found in thought when alone and in critical moments.

    Flaws:
Layabout: Joseph is usually a layabout. He prefers to goof off and have fun over putting too much effort in anything. He may be smart but he cut classes many times for something more fun to do. His saving grace is his grades however, he still prefers to party and relax over work or school.

Head in the Clouds: Joseph's head is in the clouds. He is usually lost in thought and loses his focus. He is often found rude for doing this but he never notices it. He doesn't mean to offend, his mind just goes off track and he starts to stare off into space.

Slow to React: Due to his calculating nature in critical moments, he reacts slowly. In times where situations call for unplanned and instant action, he hesitates and is unsure of what to do. He needs time to think, even when the time is limited and running out.
