Gladio had simply just smiled as he looked at her then back at the grave, silence had grown between the two as they sat and pondered in the thought of their own minds. "Hopefully I have displayed enough kindness to offer a friend request and for her to accept it. I need to know everything about that orange crystal." he thought to himself. After a moment, he looked over when she had asked about his own building describing hers, he smiled then said "Simply put, I am trying to do a jack of all trades DPS, however for the most part I just go with the flow without really labelling myself as one. Right now though I am really glass cannon." he admitted. After a moment he opened his inventory and pulled out is Two Handed Straight Sword and presented it to her "I used Two Handed Swords, I don't see a reason to use anything else in my own view. How about you?"

Gladio's thought was broken as the woman had spoke out to him, he shook his head in a shock then nodded his head straightening himself to a standing position placing his sword on his back "I just thought I could take more than I actually could, seems like I just can't ignore getting better equipment it seems." he let out a chuckle. He then thought for a moment then said "But at least nothing bad happened, although... if you didn't follow me and ask I probably would had died..." he placed his finger on his chin and looked over then shook his head "I guess I should take things a little bit more safer..." he thought to himself with a sigh. Nodding his head with a smile he said out to her "Yeah, I don't know about you but standing in swampy mud doesn't sound all too appealing. It's... not a environment that suits me at all, I can tell you that much." he chuckled.

Gladio just chuckled at the mood comment, it was an emotion he didn't quite understand from these young ones. After a moment he shared his tale to share then shaking his head in response "Ah, do not worry about it, they are in a better place now. It's just I am having a hard time getting over it is all." he then took another drink from his hot cocoa listening to what she had to say. Swallowing his drink then looking back he chuckled and said "Ah, well I appreciate the sentiment. However do not keep me preventing you from seeing that special someone in your life. Especially on a day like this." he chuckled. Then letting out a sigh he said to her "Ah just the same ole same ole, killing mobs gaining higher numbers. You know how it is." he then finished his drink before asking out to her "How about you? Fought anything dangerous, explored a dangerous area?"

Looking forward Gladio had looked at how much she was capable of doing, and he was shocked himself. He didn't think someone a bit more powerful than himself would be at a floor like this, however shaking his head and looking at the boss with a smile he knew that the battle was over. However not noticing the bosses screech it roared into the sky and lightning had struck Gladio once more bringing his life far lower than he was comfortable with. Gladio staring at the boss he let out a war cry of his own and did one powerful angled slash at the boss, and its HP became zero. The Lord let out one last screech then landed into the water, then exploded into crystals. Gladio looking down away from the "Congratulations" that was in the air and looked at his health bar "If it wasn't for this player being here... I probably would had died... I need to stop being so damn reckless." he thought to himself with a growl.

After a bit of thinking it was broken by a familiar voice that had approached him, it was Cordelia. With a slight smile he shook his head and said out to her "Oh.. me? I guess you could say I have a bit of problems making new friends I suppose." he chuckled a little bit. He then leaned forward in his seat "In reality, I've had something tragic happen to my family and during these holidays I like thinking about them, wishing they were still here." he shook his head "I may be tough and from the military but this steel outside has a heart." he then looked down to the ground then back up to her crossing his arms "But hey, I don't see you hanging out with anyone. So why are you walking alone hmm?" he let out a small hum poking fun at the female. He scooted over and said out "You are more than welcome to join me if you'd like." offering to her.

After he spoke out and walked past her, eventually he was stopped by her voice calling him out after following him for a brief second. Gladio turned around and his upper half faced her in a turn, then with a smile he said out to her "Sure, why not. Like you said respawn timers are a bitch and its better to work as a team. Just keep up alright?" then he faced the direction and began to walk again. Before a few moments they had found themselves at the boss, the Lord let out a cry into the sky and lightning cracked from the sky. He smiled then looked over to the player "Look alive Solider." then activating his charged he moved forward into the water and just barely missed the boss. The boss itself cried out and lightning came down from the sky and hit Gladio for a fair amount of damage, he just shrugged it off. Letting out an exhale of air he looked back to the player and wondered what she was capable of doing.

Gladio took a seat at one of the many benches that were around the festival, for the most part he tried to socialize and speak with other people... but it seemed that he lost his ability to connect with many people. However it did not mean he didn't enjoy himself from celebrating what he could in the event, he participated in things that he could do, sure not very successfully but he enjoyed it none the less. Placing his hot cocoa next to him he leaned back in his seat and placed his finger on his chin thinking about his next move after the event would be over. "Maybe I can go out and actually complete these quests... or maybe I can finally get myself a familiar... I dunno." he sighed again then picked up his drink, and drank it some more. He just really needed to figure out how to go about this now.

"Christmas huh?" Gladio thought to himself as he walked through the festival looking around at all the people that had arrived, today Gladio was in... a weird mood. He used to celebrate this holiday all the time with his family, till his wife and kid past away. He tries to not let it bother him whenever these holidays come around, but it had sort of got to him. However he was happy at the attendance of people that were here, and he figured to come along and speak with some people, some of the NPC's and find himself in a better mood than he is now. Walking up to the Hot Cocoa stand he got himself a Sharp Cocoa, one of his favorites and slowly drank it as he walked through the festival. He looked right, left, and around him and realized that he knew absolutely no one that was around, he sighed "Maybe I should stop training as much as I have and finally meet some new people..." he thought to himself.

Gladio sighed out looking up into the sky, while the rain never bothered him, it reminded him back when he was in the military trying to slug his way through terrain in the middle of thunderstorms. However nothing was going to stop him and his progression. While he didn't have much to equip himself with, he thought he had just enough to scrape by and defeat the boss with a little leg room, he equipped his temporary Heavy Armor and his Two Handed Straight Sword. With his sword over his shoulder he walked toward the area he needed to go toward the boss, however after a minute or two he came across a female. Gladio simply walked past her and said out "What lovely weather we're having today wouldn't you think? Pardon me, I got a so called "Lord" to dethrone." then he kept moving forward toward his destination.

Gladiator knew there was more to the story that met the eye, however he offered only kindness to her, again something she probably hasn't felt in a long time. However... he wanted to know everything that surrounded that cursor, however too much and he might not be able to speak to this person once again. For now, he would continue what he had been doing. Then, he heard the joke. At first he was confused, he looked over to her with a straight face, however it quickly shifted to a chuckle then a laugh after he had stopped laughing he said out to her "Not bad, poorly timed jokes are always the best. However, I suppose a better change in pace considering we've only been sharing tales about our since past children." he looked back at the grave stone and nodded his head "Yeah, I know." then he looked back to her and said "And I am sure you have yours as well, at least everyone should." then his gaze shifted to the scenery again, unaware of how to shift the topic.
After a moment though he asked her "So, you mentioned someone helped you redo your skills a bit. What kind of fighter are you in this war?" a simple question a solider could ask another considering the state of the game they are in.

Gladio listened to her description of her daughter, and keeping his smile he had said to her "Ah, sounds almost like mine. While Luna wanted to be just like me, she'd always come up with these bizarre war stories about me or other figures. I am sure she was a sweet girl. Makes me hate the guy that tortured her even more." then looked forward to the grave marker and said toward it "I am sorry he was the reason you died, you didn't deserve it." he offered his apologies to the long since past spirit of Mari's daughter.
Then he looked over to see what Mari had been crafting, then watched as she placed it on the grave marker and said "I'm sure she likes the gift you've given her."
Gladio had looked at her more, from what he can tell from speaking to her, and what she has said. Gladio thinks she is more or less emotionally stressed or drained over things that had happened between her and her daughter, from there he doesn't know the extent of what future murders are if at all any... but he believes that she is simply put being labeled a murderer without a chance of defense. And while he is offering nothing but kindness to her, it's because he understands her pain from losing a child. Then breaking back into reality he nodded his head and said out to her "Yup, that's the one." Then with a chuckle he had said out to her "No, not quite. Again I'm military we can't do our orders and fight if we are all sticks running around with a gun in our hands. From there, it just stuck and I'd rather be buff than unable to defend myself in a fist fight or lose the ability to kick someone's ass if they tick me off." then he looked forward "Plus you can never go wrong with black clothing."

Gladio had chuckled then he had kneeled down then sat down completely criss-cross, then he had looked over to her as she began to speak out. He then listened once again to everything she had to say first then he would speak out. He was touched when she caressed the grave marker, he looked back to her when she finished and said to her "Well that is good Mari, everything is not all lost yet. And believe me when I say this, anyone who hasn't been fully corrupted has the chance to redeem themselves successfully. I had lost myself for a bit when I was in the military, and some of the kills I did was a bit unnecessary or out of anger. But, I too believe that you can accomplish what you wish that is you desire if its really what you want." he looked back to the grave then back at her and smiled "What would your daughter like you to do at this given time? Would she like you to be free and seek redemption as well?"
After that conversation had faded, a new one had begun. He smiled then said out to her "Floor 17. I like the aesthetics there, plus from what I heard she wanted to be just like daddy when she grew up. She was very interested in that medieval and Gladiator stuff. It's probably why I named myself that." he chuckled for a little bit then looked around the area she had set up her own area to feel at ease, or be with her own daughter it brought a smile to his own face. He looked back to the grave marker and said to her "This area is quite an excellent spot, I am sure your daughter is happy with what you have set up here. I can only hope mine would be the same once I get it all set up as well."
