    Squeamish. Nevina doesn't like the thought of dying in a game, and as a result becomes a bit of a scardy-cat in battle, opting for abilities to avoid attacks rather than doing heavy hitting, and is more than willing to run away if things begin to look dire.

    Idealist. The downside of constant optimism is that she sometimes finds it hard to see the negative side of things the same way that other users might and often has impractical expectations about the world.

    Self oriented. Nevina prioritizes herself and self preservation. While she'll help others, she won't do it at her own expense.

  2. Think I mentioned this at some point or other lost in the storm, but could we have no subforum for fields, and instead have it directly shown when you click Floors 1-10? So it's one less click to get to where you need and not such a huge blank page.

  3. I actually like that idea of 1 rp = 1 skill point. Though might be rather hard to judge just by a certain amount of posts in a town? Not sure how that'd work. For the others though it'd also be easy enough to keep track of, gm just checks their rp links in their profile.

    And since most people seem against the honor system, maybe everyone has to do a 'level check' every 10 skill points? Like you hit a cap and have to submit to a thread for approval before you're allowed to rp with any more under your belt?

    I also don't know if 1 rp = 1 skill point should also = 1 lvl, 'cause what if we end up with someone leaving floor 10 at like, lvl 50? Or would most rps go slow enough/spread out that this won't be an issue? Though that happening probably wouldn't be surprising since a lot of players would stay on a floor longer than needed to make sure they're slightly overpowered for the next floor as a security measure; I think they mention something like that in the series? *vague memory*

    But I think you should still participate in topics as I like that you bring up counter points that people can discuss upon. It's still building stages so we don't have to have everything finalized right now and could always backtrack on things.

    I don't really like post count as level indicator cause then it's about spam so if we don't go by post count then multiple characters don't matter.

    Marriages I don't see why they can't just post that in their profile?

    One profile per character already separates them out for gms to see. Inventory posted in said profile would obviously belong to that character.

    The only downsides I agree with is signatures (if they even get approved) and avatars.

    edit: I should also add that I still don't mind both ways being an option and letting the user choose

  7. There isn't exactly a whole swarm of people here, so I don't think one topic per chara is really all that crowded. Dead characters will eventually float to the bottom as inactive posts, same for those who choose not to keep it updated, so the list will likely be relatively stagnant. Most probably won't even make new posts, just edit existing ones. It's just those existing posts could get fairly long which would make reaching other charas troublesome.

    The journal isn't meant to act as a twitter. When I say summary I mean like a broad overview of like, stating on one sentence what happened in three rps, as an example.

  8. Oohh, I really like SJ's idea on using that as the stamp of approval 8D But yeah, finding people to make those could be troublesome.

    We can have a volunteer thread, or people can learn how to do it themselves. If they have photoshop that'd be great, but I bet it can be done in gimp. I don't have gimp so haven't tested it, but gimp is a free program that can open PS files and maintain its layers. I can simplify the layers in the file so it's easier for people to work with, but not sure what effect gimp might have on them.

    You'd need to

    1) Download signature template

    2) Download & install the SAO font

    3) Choose & paste a background image

    4) Edit text

    5) Save & enjoy

    It'd probably have more steps if you use gimp though, because I use an effect that outlines the text so it stands out more. It's subtle, but makes a big difference in readability. From what I googled, gimp can outline text too, just requires a few more steps. The problem I see after that is I've also made said outline slightly transparent to blend in better, but I can't tell if gimp does that or not.

    Also I thought about level and actually had that first, then realized how often that'd have to be updated.. too much hassle XD

    But I don't mind having no sig at all, so whatever you guys want works for me.

  10. Users keep track of RPs in their journal, honor based system, GMs can do random checks. I figure completed is when both users feel they've completed whatever they set out to do and have no further replies. Or something that that effect. Still up for other ideas.

    Although I don't care for this idea, I think it should probably be allowed. I imagine most people would find it boring to rp by themselves the entire time so I don't see this instance happening very often, but if they do use two of their own characters then it gives them more to explore and write about at least.

    • Same sex marriage allowed?

    Takes place in the future, and never seen a reason to restrict it in an mmo.

    • How to get married

    Perhaps there's a registration thread for marriages to make it official, and its up to the player on how to do a ceremony if they have one.

    Wherever the user wants so long as they register first?

    • Requirements for marriage

    Each user must have a minimum post count? Just to show they've been active.

    • Inventory sharing?

    No idea what our item system is so no opinion on this yet.

    You can show who they're married to in the journal, maybe signature if that ends up being allowed? There's not a whole lot of "I'm married to so and so" irl either, unless via tattoo or ring engraving.
