  1. Xena shrugged watching Freyd use a item. "Soooo, while their gone what have you been up too lately? Anything interesting?" She asked mostly just trying to learn more about what Freyd had been up too, it had been a few years after all and she was practically clueless of what Freyd had seen and done. Maybe joining Firm Anima, would help her learn that. Certainly a point towards joining Firm Anima by the end of this. "Of course if you don't wanna talk about it that's fine." She shrugged after saying that the wind blowing through the area, honestly she wouldn't mind sitting and laying in the grass here for a while, it had a nice sensation and due to the game having no real insects no bugs would crawl on you. It was actually a nice perk, that and dirt wouldn't attach to your body and itch you most likely, at least that's been her experience every time she had done so.

  2. Xena had simply been listening sitting across the beach on that stone like side walk, a blue book in her hand as she hummed, a lyrical book, this terrain gave a extreme amount of inspiration. As she hummed her tune she had drifted off as she wrote, she didn't exactly have a right to eavesdrop on the two until she heard a voice directed towards her. Snapping out of it she looked up towards the man, they were offering her a drink, and asking her to come over too the two. Who was she too refuse such a kind gesture, especially when she shouldn't even be there. The book snapped shut making a somewhat loud snapping sound as it vanished into particles returning to her inventory, getting up and walking over her boots leaving prints in the sand she took the saucer she was offered, she had drank Sake a few times in her real life, mostly during events, she was never quite able to understand the proper way to hold it in one hand, she always held it with two, though in this world is seemed somewhat magnified to your hand, if only a tiny bit, allowing her to hold it in one. He had chanted a toast, and she raised the saucer about 5 inches up with a smile, one of just, peace. She took a small sip, it was strange how it tasted, it must of been some other type of sake then the kind she had, it wasn't a bad taste per say just, different. After taking the sip she watched the other two, and then took another. Seems she was more of a sipper then drinking it all at once.

  3. Xena realizing this was extremely out of her element simply watched the two a modest distance, the water was beautiful as frightening as it was to the girl. The night had began to fall as a wonderful sunset had arrived, Xena smiled humming a tune, one from a game she had played long ago, (Sample) the wind was blowing across the beach as she watched the two sitting talking, if anyone was gonna help Nari it would of been this stranger, Xena just wasn't the consoling type, sitting on a bit of stone that stretched towards the beach, she wasn't that much a fan of sand either, the two seemed to know the feeling Nari was going through rather well, Xena only questioned why she'd never known it. The story the man told was certainly one of interest, and the morals it taught were even better. Not that Xena always followed such morals, specifically with certain people, perhaps the ocean could be Nari's mirror, but she doubted it could be consoled so easily. She had no right to intervene in this though, Xena followed simply to make sure Nari would be ok, and knowing she was, she spectated, her presence likely hardly noticed. She was simply there, humming a tune to sooth the area around her. Though it was likely inaudible to the two sitting upon the beach, as they spoke about the issues of life, and drank till they weren't saddened anymore, and the sunset fell behind them as they did.

  4. Following was something Xena found she was doing a lot, for a broker she had no fucking idea where she was supposed to go half the time or what she was supposed to do, she'd need to change that, and soon if she wanted to make any type of progress in that business. "Scandinavia?..." She asked actually forgetting such a location existed in real life, she forgot a lot about real life over this time in all honesty, it was someone depressing, but she had mostly moved on past those thoughts. "I personally don't tend to like living near coastal area's... water kind of frightens me."  As she said that Freyd had explained what familiar skill would likely be best for her, nodding she had looked down at Amber who was in her arms. "I suppose that could work yeah." As she said that she did set Amber done for them to follow the duo. "Well, what should i be trying to have her look for exactly?" As she had stated that Amber had in fact snuck off, now going to scout the area.

  5. Xena just stood her arms crossed, so this was how other people dealt with the strain of this world. She herself would of broken down into a giggling crying mess, but someone like Nari, they went cold. Cold as ice, it was a tad bit nerve wracking. Xena pulled her hood down sighing softly. "Nari, noone here has plans to harm you, in fact i imagine they have a great deal of respect towards you surviving until round 2, you almost won too! Why are you acting like the world is falling beneath your feet." Despite her best efforts Xenas own voice flickered between normal and her broker tone, one side a happy reassuring type the other a cold and monotone type. She didn't honestly know which type Nari needed currently and quickly snapped herself back to normal. "All I'm saying is you did great and your life's not over, nothing is. You should be proud if your accomplishments and use them as a fuel to keep pushing forward."

  6. Xena trudged through the snowy floor again annoyed she was no snow leopard, she didnt like cold at all, even though she was covered with a added layer of fur she shivered as she entered the only tailor she knew of, silently making her way to the counter, the lady would likely do her cloak as long as she got paid for it. That's how most people functioned, especially people who don't like others, they'd do silent work as long as you'd stay silent. Walking through the building past most of the outfits she submitted a custom request leaving a slip of paper on the counter before leaving quickly after. She had business to take care of and so did the tailor.

  7. Xenas face gained one of pure shock the second she felt the hand on her head, the ears had spread on either side of her head as he had rubbed her head side to side, she was about ready to bite when he pulled his hand back. "Jeez you have a death wish." She mumbled as passive aggressively as she could crossing her arms, showing what restraint she could. He then commented about the whole Firm Anima situation, she shrugged. "I'll... I'll think about it." She would decide by the end of this quest she had decided that at least. Rather quickly she followed behind Freyd as he made his way away the tiger cub now hanging a top of her head. She wasn't sure where they were going. "You uh... said scouting would be a good skill?..." She asked as she had caught up with Freyd her tail trailing behind her. She would likely make use of such a skill often in the future but right now she didn't exactly see that much of a need for it.

  8. "Honestly, I genuinely don't know anything about the front lines by choice, it... kind of stresses me out, if that makes sense." As she said that he had immediately invited her, which she responded to with what would be defined as a 'meep'. She honestly didn't know what to say as she seemed a tad shy towards the invitation, she tried to find her voice bust just couldn't. Supposedly Freyd had many friends in the guild, did he lead it, he must be at least somewhat high in the guild to invite someone like her into it, she was a low level nobody compared to most others who at least do stuff to help progress the game. "I-I uh..." She only had just noticed him he had began petting Amber who seemed to enjoy it a rather large amount, it gave Xena a somewhat relaxed smile but she still had no clue what to say towards the invitation. She wanted to say yes but she also didn't, after all she wouldn't be of any help with how she is now. "A-are you sure...? I don't, think..." She clammed up again not being able to bring words out.

  9. Xena seemed to smile at the fact Freyd made friends, seeing how he didn't seem to like many people. "That's really good to hear you made other friends, although I can't say I've heard of Firm Anima besides the name occasionally being thrown around. Though I won't press for details, that's not the kind of thing i should get myself wrapped up in." She stated that in a rather calm manor though there was the slightest hint of jealousy about the other friends part, it was however a fact, her getting caught up in such a thing could likely lead to her own demise sooner or later, after all she wasn't remotely capable of doing any combat quests, she'd die for sure. She'd need to grind a whole hell of a lot if she ever wanted too and frankly she didn't. Did that make her a coward, she pondered that for a moment, all these people fighting for everyone, and here she was, just sitting around not helping at all, maybe she was a coward, and needed to harden up like Freyd had said. "I'd very much doubt anyone would, familiars are like a pet after all, I've only heard such a thing through the grape vine I know of." She shrugged the cub she had been holding now clinging to her shoulder its head popped up next to hers. "It's something that if tested the tester better pray for their life, at least in my own opinion."

  10. Xena listened to Freyd's description of floor 25 with some confusion. "I uh, don't really remember anything like that, so I must of been sleeping during it." She listened to him state a few of the familiar types, there really were quite a bit of them, it was somewhat surprising actually. "Oh jeez... That's, a lot of options..." She mumbled thinking about them all, Xena was somewhat indecisive when a entire spread sheet of options was thrown at her, then again who wouldn't be, she continued listening to him when he mentioned a name. "Ka, toka?" Her speech has split the two parts of the name as she had never heard it before. "A friend I assume?..." After stating that and possibly waiting for a explanation she would then comment. "I uh, vaguely remember Familiars being able to die at some point, did the event on floor 25 change that or something?..." She asked with a calm manor, it was a sensible question at least, familiars dying would likely be heart breaking. And likely would of upset many many people, as she said that she looked down at the cub in her arms then back up at Freyd, she wasn't entirely sure what skill to have for the familiar but its likely Freyd's idea would be best.

  11. Xena seemed to just be calming down, she's gone through so many short bursts of anger it was almost stupid. "Ah... I'm, sorry, I guess, I'm just a little defensive..." More like a lot but she was already embarrassed enough at this point. "I... kind of just assumed you were, insulting me or whatever..." She didn't talk to many people, Freyd was the first person she's talked to all week actually, after listening to Freyd mention not hating her or he would of left a while ago she shrugged her shoulders a bit. "I, guess your right... how do I do that though?..." She asked, this time genuinely, she had no real clue what the second part of training a familiar was like, and she was actually afraid to even ask, seeing how the last time she did Freyd snapped at her somewhat. Which started that entire argument, she wanted to make this work but, Freyd was just a tad bit insensitive and she had no idea why. She could always ask but, she didn't imagine he'd wanna go into it, and even if he did did she really wanna hear it.

  12. With a look of condensed anger the tiger lady let out a hefty sigh. Apparently she couldn't be her true self even around a old friend. Her voices tone changed to one much like the kind Freyd spoke in. "The way I broker is by hiding behind a mask, I had assumed I wouldn't have to wear it around you but." She sighed her eyes still seeming to be filled with life but also dulled. With a shrug she simply began stating. "In truth the only familiar skill I have knowledge of is the crafting skill, which would likely be helpful for me due to just obtaining a profession I'd say likely less then 3 days ago." Her façade was clearly visible from the eyes of someone like Freyd, not to mention he already knew the real her, but her mask would likely work during broker jobs. "The truth is Freyd I had believed you trust worthy of my true emotions, it seems you don't enjoy them though, and growing is something I should of done a long time ago." As she spoke her eyes very clearly teared up a small bit as if upset at the words she was saying but they quickly vanished. "If you'd like to help me by all means do, but if you only plan to insult the true me, I feel this friendship won't last, perhaps you don't care, but I do." Stating that the Tigress crossed her arms before sighing her voice returning to normal the difference immediately noticeable like light and day. "Did you prefer that? The serious me? The one who won't let herself be weighed down by emotions?" She acted like it was a split personality, and that was frankly because she hated acting like that. But knew it as a necessity for her line of work. She turned around taking a knee to pick up the tiger cub. "I want to trust you Freyd, with the real me, but with the way you voice your opinions whether their fact or just opinion, it makes me feel like you may not like the real me anymore." She stood holding the cub in her arms turning back to Freyd. "I only wish you'd trust me with the real you." She stated as if hoping under all the angst and seriousness that fun side of Freyd back in the day was still somewhere in there, he had already showed her it for a little bit. But it seems she might of failed his test of trust as well. "But I want you to know Freyd, whether you ever start not liking me, I'll never not like you, even if I am throwing a tempur tantrum as you call it." She gave a small smile petting her familiar some more, it was a extremely calming feeling not to mention clearing her mind of her opinions towards Freyd, she just hoped her would do the same at some point.

  13. Xena had been twiddling her thumbs sitting in a corner of the room, she had only been there about 3 minutes now, still getting over her panic of being in a boat above a ocean, she might just need to bum a warp crystal just to go home, she felt a somewhat calming feeling as something poked out from around her neck, a small tiger cub had stowed away in her cloak, she knew they were there but she hadn't paid them any mind due to the stress just getting here was bringing her, with a small smile she pulled the cub from her cloak and set them on her lap petting them softly. It was now that someone had walked up to her calling for her attention, she hadn't recognized them at first until she pulled her hood up a tad to see their face, sure enough it was that lady from the Minotaur quest, small world huh.

"Oh uh... Hey." She stated in a somewhat distracted or embarrassed tone, she didn't really know them that well, as a matter a fact she barely remembered their name, yet they walked right up to her so eagerly, Xena even looked quite a bit different from normal after ditching her vanity cat items as well as having a new pair of claws. Though, maybe those were what gave it away, she hadn't seen a single other player who used them sense the very beginning. "Small world huh?..." She said with a small smile trying to crack a joke to break her own tension, not that it helped in the slightest. The tiger cub looked up at the approaching lady just looking them up and down before laying back down on Xena's lap paying them no mind.

"I uh, only just managed to find the time to come check it out yeah..." She masked the real reason which was fear of the open ocean trip that it took just to get here. "That's a really pretty outfit, If I had known people decided to wear that kind of stuff I'd of worn a kimono." She joked, she didn't actually have one in game, she did however have on in the real world, she wondered how it was doing now that she thought about it. Her home likely was covered in dust now that she wasn't able to clean it. Maybe she should get a kimono made for the future, for any festive events. That of course would be for the future, as she listened to the women talk. "I uh, don't really get around much so, I don't exactly know anyone here besides you and those 2..." She was of course effectively saying she would likely prefer to be here until the tournament started again, speaking of tournament. "Uh well... did i miss anything important in the tournament? I heard round one ended but, that's about it."

  14. Xena had only just gotten to floor 24, she decided she might as well see the tournament, not that it would be a required thing in surviving this game, she had removed all of her vanity items, (Current Appearance) drawing attention would of course be a bad thing especially at such a high up floor, it was funny how much she hadn't changed from the very beginning of the game besides her vanity items, pulling her hood up she had made her way following a map she had towards the supposed ferryman that would take her to the tournament area, he actually wasn't there at the time. Likely bringing other people to the area, Xena scoffed but reluctantly took a seat a modest distance away from the edge leading into water, it was somewhat deep, deeper then her head that's for sure, and thus she wouldn't go anywhere near it, until she had too at least. It's not like the ferry would tip over, r i g h t ? pondering that thought for about 5 minutes she came back from her thought to a snap, finding the ferryman was back. She rather quickly hopped to her feet, how long had he been waiting for her to snap out of her thinking session?

Hopefully not too long, walking over to the small ferry her legs grew somewhat weak as she watched water around the boat shift it somewhat to the left or right, god this wasn't rocket science why did her entire body feel like it was about to collapse. She finally stepped a foot on the ferry and took a seat sighing in a frightened manor and closing her eyes, if she didn't look so wouldn't have to be afraid, right. The ocean around the boat was loud, as she felt a slight movement it urged her to open her eyes, to see what had happened, it was obvious that the boat had began to move towards the island the tournament had been placed on, supposedly the tournament was placed on a high leveled players island, being held as a bit of a fun holiday event. Xena couldn't judge, it was supposedly completely safe, not that she was going to be joining, she was far too late to do that. As the ferry rocked back and forth Xena found herself digging her clawed gauntlets somewhat into the boat's wood, the NPC who had been manning it softly asked her to not do so which with reluctance she did stop. "Sorry, I uh..." She couldn't really find the words to say that she was afraid of water to the NPC. She simply just stayed silent, and begged the world to just let this ride be over, but it would take another few minutes before it would actually finish. The boat could be felt as it shifted from the water pushing against it, though the thing that really gave her a heart attack was when she felt it stop due to hitting something, and that finally made her open her eyes, looking around with panic she found they were at a dock, basically jumping onto said doc she just stood for a moment breathing somewhat rapidly, god she hated water so much.

It didn't matter right now though, she had made it and now she just needed to get to the spectator's area, saying a thanks to the NPC she began to do just that. The island was very confusing at first, she had never been there before and there was basically no map, but she was able to follow the sound of the event. The area had a extremely Japanese shrine style, it was a beautiful area that's for sure, and very clearly well maintained. As she slipped into the building that the tournament was being housed in specifically the spectator area she just sat against a wall quietly, she made it without dying so, that was a plus.

    Xena used a Yui's Grace.

  15. Xena deactivated untraceable as she walked into the blacksmithing shop she got her old claws from, she had reached the point to where tier 2 items were available to her, the issue was getting them of course, seeing how this shop was where she got her old claws and they lasted her from level 1 she figured it'd be a fine place to get her second pair. Walking up to the desk she had already filled out a form, she remembered for once, placing it on the counter of the blacksmiths she decided to just stick around till they were done. It didn't take that long last time so it shouldn't this time either.

  16. Xenas timid if not happy demeanor rather quickly fell into a somewhat offended if not upset one. "... Are you fucking serious right now?" Her tone was that of condensed anger that was trying to be held in. "I've seen a total of 3 familiars in my life here, 2 of which are present fucking company." She had stated referring to Freyds familiar and the one she now had sitting on her lap, the third one she couldn't even remember what it looked like. Standing up the tiger cub now sitting next to her Xena spawned a small black book opening it. "On a side fucking note, thing? Fucking really? You know damn well what it fucking is so could you grant me that much humility instead of calling it a fucking, thing." Xena had taken pretty much every word freyd just said with clearly extreme offense whether or not it was on purpose. She also had said fucking about 10 times in the spand of 3 minutes, which is honestly not something anyone should do regardless of anger, but with a sigh she simply mumbled. "You really have no idea how difficult it is to get information on higher floor quests from floor 1..." Xena sighed her tone shifting to a much calmer if not saddened one shutting the book with a snap like sound to it. It then vanished into particles. "You ask what this familiars gonna be good for? Giving me an emotional outlet seems good enough right now." She stated with a small frown wishing Freyd could also be like that, but after this brief 4 minute conversation she doubted it would ever be like that again. "And Freyd... that really hurt... but I'm sure you can tell..."  With that Xena pulled up her hood looking in a different direction from Freyd, planning where to go next, not that she had many options, either go home to her small broker store on floor one or try to figure this out on her own, cause she honestly didn't think Freyd was gonna help after his first words to her just now.

  17. Waking up in the middle of the night Xena grumbled laying a top her sleeping bag, her sleep schedule had been drastically effected due to this performer shop, she either had to be hunting for materials, crafting items or both. And it was never fun, more taxing if anything, but she had recently came up with a idea that demanded her attention, sitting up with a horrible bed head the cat shambles across the basement too her crafting desk. A grabbing a single recording crystal and holding it in her palms she began singing a tune, much like one she already made, but you could say remixed. The result as a brilliant emerald recording crystal and progress was only just getting started.

  18. Xena had stayed seated petting the small tiger cub resting on her lap, she was sitting in a crisscross form allowing the cub to easily lay there. She had only recently been pulled out of what you'd call a tiger pit thanks to Freyd. Doing so the two ended up her, and after a noisy NPC had hurt her ears she was calming down now, her ears were unused to loud shrieks like that. They were horrible in her opinion, not that it mattered she had yelled so loudly it's likely the entire floor heard them. About 10 seconds had passed sense the NPC vanished and Xena say on her butt. She wasn't sure what to do next in fact, her research didn't go any deeper. Perhaps that's why their somewhat uncommon, because of their difficulty to find and train. Xena then looked at Freyd she didn't doubt he had answered so she simply asked him with a beaming smile. "So uh, I assume you know what to do next right?" She was a tad bit timid to ask not wanting to show herself in a stupid light, not like she hadn't already with all the crap that's happened, hugging the kitten who she has finally decided to name Amber to her chest Xena just watched Freyd waiting for a answer.

  19. Xena woke up sitting on a stool her body leaning on a nice wood table, she had spent a good portion of the night crafting, not that it really helped her, most of them were failures and tonight there wasn't a single successful craft unfortunate indeed, she pouted poking at a bit of dust that was a recording crystal, it was one of the only ones she kept maybe she could Salvage it or something, the other crystal next to her hadn't changed no matter what she did, crystals couldn't be duds so maybe she was doing something wrong, she wasn't sure. Sitting up and yawning she just stared at the candle lighting up the basement, how long had she been down here, she wasn't exactly sure herself.

  20. Samething different story, Xena had just gotten home from dealing with a quest involving the Hoya, a tedious and time expending adventure, involing 3 new strangers who would likely find their way to her again, that's just how things are. Opposites attract you could say, Xenas type being much different from the mostly open trio. Grabbing some materials out of her bags she decided she'd craft for the night and then fall asleep, she had been up for a incredibly long time and she needed sleep relatively soon. In truth she wasn't sure what to expect as she began falling into a melody, her eyes shut as she did so, almost in a form of trance she raised a bit into the air her voice growing higher as the crystal in her right hand shattered into pieces, the other however glowed brightly enough to knock the daze out of her. Seems she did something incredible.
