Turn 4 Ares-49789 Turn As the mace buried itself into the boar Ares was expecting it to just disappear like the previous one had done, but, instead he was met with the beast's HP bar shining red, just as red as its eyes. Ares smiled as he sidestepped the next attack of the boarlet, a sound sigh coming out as he was out of reach of the beast for a few seconds, just enough to catch his breath once again, Ares smiled, his teeth clenched together as he closed his grasp around the mace's handle. Fire roared in his eyes and muscles as he finally let the heavy mace go down onto the boar, ai

Turn 3 Ares-49789 Turn Good, no, not good, great, he had not only managed to deal some damage to the boar, but had even gotten himself out of trouble by making the boar step on itself, Ares was glad he had gotten his vengeance on the boar, but still he had to keep a cool head, he was getting tired, maybe fighting was not for him... No, What was he thinking about? He was made for fighting, if he hadn't been then god wouldn't have gotten him into so much trouble for doing so and still give him the option to fight. Fighting had been something too present on Ares's life, specially when h

Turn 2 Ares-49789 Turn That was exactly why all those people died to those boars, they got careless and got to pay for that mistake, just like he had done. He had hurried himself and made himself miss the hit against the boarlet, but not only that, he had left himself exposed and had almost been hit by the damn beast, he hadn't needed his armor to block the hit, but it was still a mess. Breathe Ares, breathe in, breathe out. Now his mind was clearer, he just needed to take his time, slow but steady, ready to hit the beast again, fast but precise, hard but explosive. Ares drew his mac

Turn 1 Ares-49789 Turn The second boarlet he had to face, the first one had only taken him two hits of his mace, Ares wondered if this one would also take so little time or he'd mess up and end up like many many of those that became the number of death newbies to die under the boars tusks. Ares closed his eyes for a second and opened them, looking directly at the solitary boarlet, his heart was pumping blood all over his body and the adrenaline was already kicking in, making his blood boil as it had never done before. Ares clenched his teeth and looked at those red eyes. He'd dream w

Ares looked wide-eyed as he saw the particles of light float towards the sky as the thing that had been a boar disappeared. A system window appeared in front of him notifying him that he had been able to defeat the boarlet and had received a set of tusks, that meant that he had finished one of the three boars he had to get before going back to the blacksmith's shop to get his prize, The young man sit in the ground and closed his eyes, it would be just a minute ... After being kind of out for at least fifteen minutes, Ares got up from the grass, his face still marked by the folds of h

Turn 2 Ares-49789 Turn Ares's lungs begged for air, the boarlet's attack had taken all of it out of them and Ares was sure his armor had saved him from a pretty heavy blow, he swallowed his own spit as his eyes landed on the beast's eyes, they were red and full of hatred, and he for one, didn't like that. A person with a weaker spirit would have felt fear in the deepest part of themselves but he was not that person, at least that's what he told himself, because he had one single goal in mind. Make it back alive to his home, and that path led to only one direction, through the monster

Turn 1 Ares-49789 Turn Ares looked at the single boarlet as he approached it slowly, his heart beating with each step he took towards the monster, it looked cute. Harmless even, but he knew of the reputation those things held, they were the ultimate noob killers, the ones with the most kills to their names and the worst nightmare of many. He clenched his fist against the mace as he prepared himself mentally for the strike, he needed to take advantage of the surprise factor, deal as much damage as he could in a single swing. He was really glad he had taken the mace as his first weapon

He, for one, didn't want to go back into the blacksmith's shop and risk being kicked out again. So, it was better to just go do whatever he had sent him to do, at least his UI had taken it as an acceptance to the quest, because now there was a window telling him to sleep or defeat three boarlets. Lightning went through his spine as he started walking back to the wild parts of the floor, yeah, he had to fight and defeat 3 boarlets, because he wasn't just going to stay there and let them sleep, nop, he'd fight his way out of Aincrad and that included making sure those pesky boars didn't kill any

At the very least, the blacksmith's shop wasn't as far from the alchemist's than he had thought it to be, it was just road up, not even six buildings apart, so even if the market was on full swing, he didn't take much to arrive at his destination. The sound of the hammer and the anvil hitting each other was one he liked. What he did not like, was the dim light that surrounded him the second he entered the shop. He knew the reason behind it, as it made it easier to distinguish the differences between the metal's colors when red hot, after his eyes adapted to the light level, he found himself in

"Hey old man, I'm back" Ares walked into the shop and navigated the shelves until he was back at the counter, where the man was. As if no time had even passed since the last time they had seen each other, well, it was not like it had taken him so much time, at most an hour or so "Don't old man me, I could be your father" Said the man with a laugh before raising his sight from the pot earning him an eyebrow raise from Ares "Did you get what I sent you for, son?" Yup, Ares didn't like to be called son, his own father barely called him by his name, so it was a strange situation. Especially w

Damn he was good, maybe giving it another try wouldn't really be that bad... No, that was just losing his time, he wanted to level up, get some money, get some more skills and go to the front lines, he wanted to fight his way out of the game and if he wanted to do so he'd have to be thoughtful of his progress, the very least he could do was to move his ass back to the shop of the Alchemist and get payed so he could get the experience he needed and the money. He needed a weapon and the more money he had, the better it would be. Even better, If he had enough he could get his hands on a good shie

Well, that one was a quick one, it had only taken him a few minutes before he was able to locate the next material that the alchemist needed, maybe it was because of the content of that strange pot, it was true that it had taken a toll on him, but it had left his mind very clear, maybe that was the same sensation those famous pills gave to people, you know the ones his friends had told him about for ages but he hadn't gotten to try because his parents thought they would be addicting, who knows, maybe being able to focus on some task was great... Still he was tired and that grass looked very co

The moment Ares got the notification he raised his head and let out a sigh, as if he was a journeyman who had just met the quota set by the owner of a land, and it had been his first try, it seemed easier than he had first thought, as it was, in fact, just like in real life. Meaning that walking around, looking among the bushes and different parts of the land did result in getting the materials he needed for whatever that Zackariah man wanted them for, most likely potions, as his shop had been filled to the brim with all kinds of those shiny and colorful bottles full of mysterious liquids with

"I guess I will see you later, old man" Said Ares as he coughed before leaving for the wild zones of the first floor. The shop was crowded and he almost stumbled into a shelf, but he managed to evade the hit and possibly being indebted for life with the shop keeper. The man walked through the city still amazed, the visuals of the game were amazing, he was sure that he'd easily mistake everything for real life if not for the clear signs of it being a game such as the green diamonds floating over the player's heads, the UI in his field of view, specially the bar at the top left of it, which

Ares walked into the shop, no quite sure he could follow the directions the mayor had given him, after all, he was the one who had forgotten who had he loaned money to. Ares was met with shelves and shelves of colorful and shiny potions, he had never been at an alchemist's shop, but this certainly did the trick, now he was only missing... “Oh, hello," Yup, the shop keeper, the distracted greeting came from behind the counter. A man with a long, snow-white beard glances up from a bubbling cup of sweet-smelling purple liquid. He didn't know him, but that one was sure to be Zackariah, Ares

"My name is Dorian, and I am the mayor of this town. As part of those mayoral duties, I issued a small loan to a member of the community a few months ago. Well, the time to collect had come around and I-" Flustered, Dorian systematically runs his fingers over his perfect moustache. "You see, I've forgotten who it was I loaned the money to. Terribly embarrassing, I know, but I am a very busy man, and I cannot keep track of everything that happens. I'm sure you understand." With a wave of his hand, Dorian continues, "Should you be willing to track down the loan recipient for me, and collec

So... this was it? Ares looked around the town square. The square of the first town in all SAO, also known as the place you arrive when you start your journey towards the top of the floating castle... Ares would be happy if it wasn't for the looming threat over his head. That dying in this digital world might also mean dying in the real one. Yeah, he had connected late to the game because of prepping his siblings for school and hadn't even checked why the internet was booming about the game; some kind people had explained that to him, and he was... processing. It had taken him a few hours to r
