[PP-F10] Wail of the Banshee (Oikawa)

Recommended Posts

It had been a long time since she had last saw her friend, the one with the the yellow hair and the distinct white cape. Just as Azide had returned, he had disappeared, and now that Azide is gone again, he has returned. This was something that she had never managed to figure out as it was very difficult to understand, but nonetheless, today was about catching up and the new quest that she had not yet took part in. This banshee one was her next target, on her list of things to do, and she was able to ask one of her favourite training partners to help her. After all, they had success against quest bosses for a very long time, and while she could solo it herself, she rather do things with people, even as the solo player that she is. As she sent a message, the girl waited here, the 10th floor town square.

Sweat dripped from the blonde's brow as he worked the forge. Materials lay about everywhere in a rather messy fashion. Something very uncharacteristic of the Faint. Just as he went to wipe away the digital water drop, he received a message from a name he hadn't seen in quite some time. Opting instead to take a break from his crafts, he reviewed the text. A small grin shaped his lips as he quickly typed a reply. Going into his inventory, he opted for a change of clothes. His new Azure General Cloak, softly covered his shoulders as it materialized. Equipping his rapier and shield, he headed for the door. "Floor 10 for the Wail of the Banshee quest eh? I haven't been to that floor in a long while. Though it'll be great to see Rebekah once again." Taking hardly any time to reach the gate, Oikawa commanded the gate to send him to the tenth floor.

After adjusting to the sudden pitch blackness of the floor, he looked for the blonde that was to accompany him. Spotting her not to far off from the platform, he carefully maneuvered through the undead plaguing the city streets. Pausing as he approached, he offered an audible "Hey there," as he stopped a few feet out from her.

As she heard those words, she could see the familiar white cape and yellow hair that she had missed. It had been a very long time since he was last standing here, but it was now time for them to get started. Rebekah spoke, "Welcome back, I missed you." As she had missed one of the few people she had trusted in combat, especially one that was on a similar skill level as herself. With him missing a while, this had allowed her to catch up but if there was one thing she knew about him, it was that they were going to catch up a lot faster, but at least he had kept the rapier. However, that was enough time for catching up, as they need to head out on this quest immediately before they wasted another second on this floor. Out of all the floors, Rebekah hated the tenth floor, and could not wait to get out of here, so she told him, "Let's go."

Nodding, Oikawa grabbed Rebekah by the hand, an act he hardly ever committed, and led her out towards Tartarus. He knew the route fairly well and despite the massive dragon guarding the gates of the city, he managed to slip them out of it's view. Once they met the looming tree line, he released her hand slowed his pace to a rather speedy stroll. "Missed you too Beks," escaped through his barely parted lips. Drawing his rapier, the boy rotated it around his wrist. The feel of the lightweight blade was a feeling he had almost forgotten. Keeping it drawn, he looked over his shoulder and eyed Rebekah.

"So what have I missed in my absence? How are you?"
