Violet James (Mother) - Her mother was the one she was closest to for her early years, this relationship growing fainter when she got older due to her mother’s withdrawal from Mallory’s life after her father left.

Aayan James (Father) - She doesn’t have much respect for him. The choices he made were enough to degrade her opinion of him quite a bit.

Jenn Ulun (Friend) - One of her best friends in the real world. Jenn grew up close to Mallory, always at the same school and camps and classes. Wasn’t too into gaming, so she didn’t come into the game with Mallory.

 

About: History/personality

 

Virtues:

 

Protective: In a maternal way. Seeks to protect those she would find child-like, people younger and more fragile than her. As well as any others she would see as vulnerable and in need of protection. She will do her very best to protect them and keep them safe, feeling like she had failed her motherly duties if she did not. Sometimes this motherly impulse comes to an extreme. Others would notice her affection towards the young and fragile, and some have taken advantage of it in the past.

 

Bold: Takes the lead and will volunteer to take risks for the rest of the group. The feeling of duty drives her, and she believes that the well-being of others is more important than her own. As such, she will make decisions based off of this value. If someone is needed to go into a dangerous place, she will take the position without hesitation. This also comes into her social life. She won’t be the girl waiting around for things in friendships or relationships to happen.

 

Lively: Always brings a feelings of cheerfulness to a group. This attitude towards life was brought on after she moved out of the house she grew up in, though she had been an optimist when she was younger. Her spritely attitude will be noticeable in many situations, especially obvious when the mood of those in her party is down.She does her best see the light and happy side of a situation, whenever she can.

 

Flaws:

 

Sensitive: Takes things badly. Will become violently hurt if betrayed or lied to, as she puts huge amounts of trust into people. Would take offense and get upset if she were insulted. This has led to a few conflicts in the past, though nothing too big. She’s managed to keep her social life a peaceful one, so not many occasions for trouble of this sort were possible.

 

Impulsive: Mallory’s impulsiveness gives her a bad time in conversations given the fact she is wants things done quickly. Her sensitivity doesn't help either, making her emotions an obstacle. She is very heavily reliant on her instincts when it comes to daily life decisions. Being impulsive also keeps her an open book, because she often blurts out whatever she happens to be thinking.

 

Impatient: Unable to wait patiently or tolerate delay; restless. Believes there’s no point to waiting around for things to happen. Sometimes this leads to bad decisions, combined with her boldness, acting out plans and taking risks that were unneeded and could have been foreseen. Some may see this as valiant and chivalrous.

Story Thus Far

Growing up, Mallory was an excited, happy child. She was a natural extrovert, always finding friends wherever she went. Elementary and middle school were a breeze, as she didn’t have trouble with her studies, and she had enough resources around to get help if she needed it.

Her parents were always supportive, lending her emotional help and educational help when she needed, as regular parents would. However, things couldn’t go smoothly forever. When she got into high school, her parents began having troubles with their relationship due to her father having drinking issues, and not wanting to solve the issue even when he did things that hurt himself and his family. He was a stubborn man, prideful on certain occasions.

Her parents did their best to keep this away from their daughter, as both of loved her even more than they loved each other. But, the shouting and drunken conversations would reach the girl, torturing her sleep, making her unhappy. She turned to video games to distract her from this, letting herself be consumed by them, as she could avoid her thoughts and the world around her when she was in a game and helping the others on her team.

Eventually, the situation came to her parents splitting up. Her mother stayed with her, and her father moved away, as he knew this was the right decision to keep Mallory safe. From there, her mother got unhappier and unhappier, choosing to handle it by withdrawing from her daughter in small amounts, cutting her off from the sadness she was feeling. All this led to was the feeling of abandonment that grew to be a big part of Mallory’s life.

As she grew up and graduated high school, things got better. She began to make a new life for herself, finding a job that she was passionate about and that could pay her bills. Her family issues made her want to never have her own child or children suffer through something like that again, so she searched for the right person to make a new life with. Video games were an underlying theme in her life. She always enjoyed playing them. They could take her mind off of nearly anything and leave her in a better mood. A Paladin or Knight was always her preferred class, because it let her protect others, and protecting others was all she wanted to do at this point in her life.
    As she grew older, she found a more sustainable job that she could enjoy. The excitement in her life dwindled a little bit. Like most people would, she was searching for someone to love, but she had standards that were quite high and specific. She couldn't bear to think of having another person go through what she or her mother did as a child, and this limited her quite a bit. By now, she’d been in a bit of an unhappy spot in her life, and thought that Sword Art Online could bring her some happiness.
