Hydra pointed down one of the dunes he was lay atop of, to a group of giant scorpions that were bathing in the sun. The pair came material hunting together quite often and today was no different, except along with the usual gathering done the spearman was always hoping to uncover a hidden dungeon on the floor. Equipping his spear he carefully raised himself off the ground, assuring not to alert the creatures. He nodded to Allania and signaled her to head in. It was another larger group of mobs, larger than the groups of 4 that they took on. Nodding, Allania resigned herself to attack. Hopefully they'd come out on top. The fight had not gone so well last time they fought this many. Oh well, she thought, taking off at a run towards the group of 8 scorpions. Sprinting towards them, Allania darted from side to side, avoiding the tree like tails that seemed to sprout out of nowhere. As she ran she started to spin, trying to slice into the trees that had sprouted, though they disappeared just as quickly as they had materialised. Missing her attacks. His new armor slowed him down considerably but offered him defense. Aiming for the nearest creature he jabbed it hard but his spear caught the wrong spot and simply bounced off the scorpions exoskeleton. "Dammit.." Hydra cursed and gritted his teeth, preparing for the next series of blows, the scorpions were fortunately still focused on Allania. Running past him, Allania took out her dagger and spun about once again. As she started the system movements her body quickly took over, her dagger flew out on an arc, striking the nearest four scorpions, while managing to avoid all their blows. It seemed her solo journey's into the desert had helped to prepare her for this larger fight. He smiled lightly to himself. Raising his spear above his head he once again began spinning it around at incredible speeds aiming for the mobs Allania hadn't hit. Launching himself forward this time the exoskeleton would not be stopping his spear. It ripped four of the scorpions up one after another. Hydra knew the disadvantages of using this method of course. He collapsed at the end of his movement, nearly all his energy expended. And as was customary when he fell to the ground after performing it, collapsing from exhaustion. Laughing, Allania launched herself at the four remaining scorpions, spinning in a circle to try and cut them once again. Missing the scorpions with her dagger, she landed in the sand, and turned ready to attack once again. Watching and waiting to see what Hydra would do. He called out, holding his spear tightly. This time he wouldn't let Allania take the hits whilst he stood far away, but as of now he was near to useless in combat. The spearman decided to watch the dagger user closely this time, she was an interesting one and maybe he could possibly learn a trick or two from her movements in battle. *Yawn* Twilight was somehow still wrapped around the players neck. Stopping her erratic movements, Allania let the scorpions strike at her, her armour once again deflecting their blows, but letting their pincers scrape across the barbs on her armour,dealing damage to them. She tried to do her dance again, once they had finished their onslaught, but they had backed away, once again leaving her area of influence. "I'm not the walking hedgehog here!" He called back with a hearty voice. The player stretched his legs out and let out a sigh in an attempt to annoy his friend even more. Twilight had gotten bored by this point and had begun to furrow about in the sand, the spearman turned his head "What you looking for there?" It pulled out it's two heads and coughed up nothing but sand. "Your a strange one aren't you?" His familiar looked at him and hissed. Allania then began to duck and weave through the forest of barbs that had surrounded her. However when she went on to swing her dagger round they all disappeared at once, her dagger hitting nothing but air and the sand floating there. Thinking about how much he hated sunbathing in itself and then comparing it to the heat on this floor made him want to cry. The spearman hated the sun, or rather strong heat and he never understood the act of sunbathing itself. "Slowly roasting alive, cus you're too slow!" He retailed with a cheeky comeback. "Where's that dagger going, up to floor 50?" He chuckled to himself. The spearman felt comfortable enough with Allania to be cracking some jokes at her expense. Now surrounded in a forrest of barbed tails, Allania performed an extravagant bow towards Hydra "I am sorry my liege, would you like me to construct a shelter for you. To protect you delicate skin while I deal with this problem also" she said still bowed and gesturing to the barbed tails around her, before turning her head up and sticking her tongue out at Hydra and smiling. Pivoting back around, Allania leapt forward at the creatures, ready to strike a them once again, only this time she started her attack way too early, finishing her spin a good 5m from the creatures. The spearman slowly stood up and equipped his spear, he was by no means full on energy but once Allania could create an opening he believed he could do enough to whittle the number down. "Twilight, come back." Once his snake entered his pocket. The spearman went into one of his striking positions. "I'll catch upto you one day Eth..." He said grinning to himself feeling the energy start to surge around his body. Running forward, once again disregarding any attempt to avoid the blows that rained down upon her. The blows were easily deflected off her armour, which once again absorbed almost all of the damage. The barbs on her armour many times more deadly than the barbs of these scorpions scraped along their tails, leaving red gashes running deep in them. Allania then began to spin, pirouetting round, her dagger catching all the scoprions which surrounded her. "Alright let's do this." As the spearman ran forward he felt a sensation, one similar to that which he had felt on floor 6 when he killed his double. "What is this?" His body seemed to be moving forward by itself, "Should I' flow with it?" He thought to himself in amazement. Everything seemed to grey out except him and his targets, a streak of light appeared before Hydra, it led to several points on each scorpion. The brunette took a deep breath and followed the streak, he landed the hits in the spots that the light had targeted. In a moments notice everything returned to normal and the scorpions shattered. But when he did move to attack he just flowed through the battlefield, slicing each and every scorpion efficiently. Scarily efficiently. His usual expression had not been on his face at the time. It had first been one of confusion and then it just became blank. Allania knew something had happened to him in that instant, they had been on enough adventures together for her to tell. There was a brief pause as he tried to recall what happened, but everything seemed misty. "Ah, sorry... anyway let's not waste time and find some more loot." Having said that the spearman did a quick survey of the area for any obvious materials to pick up. Instantly spotting a bronze looking object the brunette strolled over and picked it up. She was still worried for the Spearman but he seemed okay now, so for the time being Allania moved on. "Yeah, let's try find some more loot then" she said, starting to rummage in the ground around her. Allania began to burrow into the sand, using her dagger as a make-shift shovel. When her dagger hit something hard, she started to dig around it with her hands, removing the sand and revealing what looked to be part of a scorpion shell. The desert was filled with all sorts despite being barren on the surface. Unfortunately most the items he found were of no use too him or unreachable as the sand recovered them. "Guess we should try another spot." He murmured to himself. Slowly staggering to his feet he glanced around, "Still no dungeons yet to be seen... I wonder where they are sometimes." So as they trundled through the desert Allania kept her eye out for anything with potential. Unfortunately, Allania was unable to spot anything of note, not a cave nor opening in sight. "mmm" she finally agreed "we shall have to find one at some point" Allania commented, her eagerness to find one not well hidden, unlike the dungeons.
