The town suspended above the nefarious waters below seemed almost at peace for once. Florenthia Village welcomed the blonde as he traversed across the rickety bridges between the trunks of the enormous forest the town was hidden within.

He drew a small breath, his time here would be short. He had gained information regarding a little lore on why this floor is suspended in the trees. Having already notified a few players he trusted, Oikawa stood a little more at ease as one of them responded. Hikoru, the budding Master of Shadows and adept dagger user. Together the two of them would conquer this rumor of the Monkey King.

Looking around, Oikawa spoke. "Now where is he?"

Hikoru appeared on Floor 8, where he was told to meet for a quest. It was the last of the three new Quests from the latest patch that he needed to do, and his friend Oikawa has messenged him on the matter, and he was glad he did. He breathed and moved forward, making his way to where he was to be met. He entered the shadows, taking shortcuts around and soon appearing above the player that went by Oikawa. He jumped down, appearing behind him and giving a small bow, then standing up and giving a small smile

"Here I am, flashy and ready to fight." He said, and soon a stern face over his face. He was feeling the emptiness fill him again, and he sighed as he felt his familiar crawl up onto his shoulder, looking around the area and wanting to be explorive, as usual

Wind slightly whipped up behind him as he stood within the shade of what appeared an age-old oak tree. A voice soon followed the minor gust and the blonde instantly turned on his heel to greet the dark-haired youth. "Master of Shadows suits you friend," he mentioned as he returned the slight bow. Taking note of the ferret weaving itself onto the dagger user, Oikawa gestured towards a path that led to the higher points of the village. Particularly the winding path that led to the temple of this supposed Monkey King.

"Shall we?"

Hikoru nodded as he said his name suited him, and he gave a small nod. He pointed towards a path that lead up, and he nodded and started to make his way up the hill, going to where the Quest was soon to be. He wanted to get this done and get this done quick. He knew that him and Oikawa could easily finish this thing off. He soon appeared at where they needed to be, and he smiled as he held a hand out towards the door where they were to enter

"Would you like a head start? Just so I come in and the giant ape's turning to pixels?" He asked with a small tone, as he knew the other player could easily kill the big brute before he even stepped through the door. He opened the door, and held it, giving him a small smile "Here, a head start to activate your charge my good sir." He said, donning a very fake and very bad english accent

Following the dagger user along the winding path, they quickly found themselves at the door of the Monkey King's throne. Donning an awful Englishmen accent, Hikoru offered the blonde the opportunity to strike into the room first. Letting a soft chuckle emit, he pushed through the creaking doors and spoke. "If you insist Master of Shadows..." Upon settling into the room, Oikawa took note of the overall feeling of the room. Eeriness settled around him like an unwanted blanket. Quickly drawing his blade Orochi, Oikawa shifted his gaze around until he spotted the hulking mass lurking above.

As if his gaze activated some sort engagement protocol, the towering mass of fur hurled itself to the room floor and and erupted into a roar of deafening proportions. Wind swept through his locks as the ape settled down. Smirking, Oikawa lowered his stance before suddenly streaking forward and unleashing a rapid flurry of jabs and strikes that left the creature in a state of disbelief and semi-shattered pixels.

Sheathing his blade, Oikawa gestured for Hikoru to enter. "The beast is down to the red already. Shame really. Go ahead and finish it."

Hikoru breathed as he watched the bosses health go down drastically, and he sighed, as he knew it was up to him to defeat him. He held the door, open, and ran at the creature. waiting and leaping like he did years ago, and circled in the air, jabbing the creature multiple times in the gut and watching it pixelate before his eyes. He breathed and landed, swiping the hair out of his face and sighed, sheathing his dagger as the last remaining pixels faded, and he sighed

"I thought I told you to finish it off..." He said with a small laugh, and soon he looked at the player, and held his arms up in a shrug "So now what?"

Shrugging and chuckling, the blonde sheathed his blade and decided to answer Hikoru's actual question. "What now you ask? We can search for a dungeon I suppose. Gathering materials may not be such a bad idea either." Whether Hikoru wanted to or not, the blonde would poke around for some materials. Then after a bit of searching he planned to find a dungeon. Beginning his search he decided to offer up some small chat. "So how are things going for you and the 'Crowned Lion'? You all still getting married?"

Hikoru nodded and looked as the player started to look around the area for materials, but he couldn't find any. He just sighed as the player asked about Ariel, and if they we're ever going to get married, and he just laughed. They had planned everything, but ever since two floor bosses ago, a wrench was thrown in his plan

"I wish we could... but ever since Dom died... Well, let's just say that our Marriage has been the least on our minds... He had all our food..." He said with a small sigh "And it cost me so, so much Col..." He said, frustrated at how that Floor Boss fight had gone down

Nodding, Oikawa spoke up. "I see. Well I'm sorry to hear that. His life being lost was far more than just a kill. His death affected not only his life but many others as well." His gaze softened as he continued to sift through trunk after trunk. With his earlier success he planned to continue the trend as he searched for more ores and metals hidden away within this floor. He felt bad for Hikoru. Due to how the blonde and Opal conducted themselves a few boss fights back, they have costed more people grief than the ones they actually killed. The sad thing is, he wasn't even sure if he should be allowed to regret his actions.

Hikoru nodded as Oikawa apologized for their deaths, and he just sighed, shrugging his shoulders and laying down on the ground, staring at the ceiling and the bits and pieces of ceiling that we're destroyed and missing revealed the blue sky above him. He breathed and just sighed as the other player continued to search

"Well, Hakuna Matada man..." He said, then he realised what he said. He sat up, the looked at the ground, then laughed "When was the last time I said that..."

"What a wonderful phrase" chimed the blonde as he recognized the age old tune from some film in his childhood. He then chuckled a bit himself as he continued to search for materials. His reveal skill would be available again soon enough. With that back in action, he should have a far better time searching for a dungeon should there be one within the vicinity. Pushing a bit further into the foliage of the nestle of trunks, Oikawa took note of a path a little further up. "Hey Hik, maybe we should see what lies ahead. Its gotta be more interesting than what we've found here."

Hikoru listened as the player said that they should move up, and he agreed. He wasn't having much luck here, and he knew that moving forward would probably be a good thing. He breathed and got up, brushing off the few dust pixels that had strayed onto his jacket and pants, then made his way towards the Blonde-headed player. He looked around and saw that the building was pretty crumbled, probably from the huge creature that was hiding within it. He sighed and stretched, then went to the door and held the door open, waiting for Oikawa to exit the building and lead him to where they were to go next.

Following Hikoru's lead, Oikawa trailed the man as he led them towards the door he had gestured to earlier. "Thanks," mentioned the blonde as he passed through the frame and back out into the world of floor eight. Taking a look around, his sight fell on a few peculiar areas. Just ahead, the bridge split into three paths. One undoubtedly led to a fate not worth putting p with and he was willing to bet another lead to a dungeon while the final one would lead them back to the main settlement. "Alright Hik, left right or middle?"

Hikoru sighed and walked behind silently, staying as silent as he could and sighed, becoming bored with himself. He sighed, then got an idea. He smiled and ran a bit, entering stealth and climbing a tree. He smiled and whistled towards the blonde-headed player. He smiled and continued to jump around through the trees, hiding in the shadows and having a ball.

"I'm up here, just keep searching around, I'll watch our backs." He said from afar. He knew that there was a chance that a player or a monster could attack from anywhere, and he knew that he should get used to the shadows, as soon he would start attacking in them

"That didn't answer my question," grumbled the blonde as he opted to take the middle road. Keeping an eye on the shadow walker, Oikawa then activated his <Reveal> skill and searched the path for any out of the ordinary pathways that may lead to a sub-level below them. His efforts were soon rewarded as he skimmed along the edge of the path. Just north of where he stood, a pathway seemed available to those who noticed the weird knot in the base of the tree holding the suspended bridge. "Over here Hik." Pushing forward, the blonde walked to the base of the trunk and fell through it. Darkness followed as he slid down the path leading to an underground room housing eleven creatures. One of which seemed to be the boss as its crimson eyes beamed down on the rapier user. The ten other mobs were all tiny lemur like creatures, while the boss resembled a Baboon of sorts. Readying his blade, Oikawa launched forward and tore into the first group of monkeys. However, the creatures were far more agile than he anticipated. Looking to see if Hikoru had followed, the blonde called out. "Feel free to hop in mate."

Hikoru listened as his friend entered a knot in a tree, and he jumped down, following closely behind, but lurking in the shadows, his home. Soon he saw the creatures spawn, and hid back more in the shadows, making sure to stay out of site. He breathed as his friend went to attack and missed, leaving him vulnerable to an attack. He breathed and jumped up, flipping upside down and sliced in the air, tempests of air hitting every mob and bringing it's health to yellow. He smiled and looked to his friend

"Go ahead and finish them off, just don't miss this time." He said, drawing the attention of the creatures in front of him, a small laugh escaping his lips as his eyes grew wide, a smile now forming on his face, almost looking.... evil...

"With pleasure" growled the blonde as he dashed into the small gathering of player and mobs. Rotating his wrist, Oikawa activated his <Charge> skill and followed it up with his sword art known as <Sweep>. Letting the rapier fly, it swiped and cut into all of the Mobs, quickly dissolving them into useless pixels. Just as they had claimed the first four, another four filled their place. Looking towards Hik, the blonde simply nodded as they would just keep alternating to cut down the enemies until the boss made itself available.

Hikoru breathed and looked to see a few more mobs spawn behind them. In a flash, he ran past them and jumped onto the wall, using his weight to lift him off and soon fly through the air above the creatures, sending more tempests of air to his foes. He breathed and landed onto the ground quietly, looking at them and giving a small smile. He looked at his friend and gave him a nod, his smile growing wider

"Let's kill these pests shall we? Get rid of their pixels so they may never return?" He said, and another laugh escaped his lips.

Oikawa nodded to the lad as he twisted more attacks into the newly spawned creatures. Hikoru's demeanor was beginning to worry him for lack of better words. Sadistic tendencies were beginning to show and the blonde was beginning to wonder if he should have just solo'd this quest. Shaking the thoughts from his head, he opted to just keep an eye on the dagger user until all of this was over. Launching himself into the second wave, he unleashed another <Charged> <Sweep>. Quickly ending the little lemurs of their pixelated life, or so he though "My aim is so off," mentioned the blonde.

Hikoru smiled and laughed a bit more, leaping up and striking the creatures and finishing them off easily. He laughed a bit, then cackled more as they soon faded to pixels once his attack each and everyone of them. He looked at his friend, and gave him a nod, his eyes wide with bloodthirst of these creatures that meant nothing to him. He smiled and laughed again, giving him another nod.

"Yes, let's move forward and kill these pathetic creatures...." He said, and passed by him, not batting an eye as he did so
