Itzal had no time to think.  The wolf was already preparing to leap at him again.  Itzal charged and was about to strike it when two things happened:  The wolf didn't leap, but instead charged at him from below.  Secondly, Itzal misplaced his footing and while trying to regain his balance, pushed himself into the air, right over the wolf.  Itzal landed hard on the ground, realizing this clumsy mistake saved his life.

The wolf turned around and leapt at him again, but this time Itzal was getting tired of this.  He thrust his blade toward the wolf and they shared damage.  The wolf landed on the ground with a cut on it's cheek, it's eyes flaring angrily, and Itzal had a three layered scratch on his own cheek, his eyes burning with a different passion.  The wolf wanted revenge while Itzal wanted to survive.  By now he was low on health and he wouldn't last much longer.  He would not die here.

The wolf made one last desperate attack and snapped it's jaw on Itzal's shoulder.  Itzal grimaced at the pain but at the same time pushed his sword into the wolf's heart.  With that one move the wolf was still, then exploded with light.  Itzal let out a shaky sigh and let his sword drop to his side.  This one mob was so close to killing him.  Itzal couldn't let this happen again.  He would have to train and train until such pitiful mobs could do nothing to him.  After getting some armor, he'd have to work on his evasion skills.  He'd prefer that over hitting his opponent any day.  He checked to see if it dropped any loot but he received nothing but MAT.  Sighing with frustration, he decided to rejoin the group and call it a day.  He'd gather stuff for Adhae some other day.
