The rocks luckily were not sharp, and the volcano was the steepest, meaning it was not too hard of a climb. He bet there was something in the volcano if you could get past the lava. So far, there was no monsters in his path, meaning that he could climb with ease. If there was dragons, then he might have to worry about getting shredded, or getting knocked back down. 'Alright, I am no where close to the top, but I better just keep watching. I never know when something undesirable might show its face.' Jonathan was strong when It came to taking damage, but he had not yet really invested into his damage so it took him a while to be able to kill things. If he had Beatbox's Damage, he would be able to farm col like it was nothing. He had watched the man almost deal two hundred damage in groups of four. Morgenstern 1 Posted January 28, 2017 Author #22 Report Share Posted January 28, 2017 (edited) His energy refilled completely, but he knew he had to avoid fighting or else he would not make it up the mountain in time before his familiar probably flew away. He would just keep climbing searching for materials and picked them up as he passed. It appeared that there was some sort of mob that could breath fire or something like that. The rock here was charred, leaving black soot on his hands. A few claw marks were also seen and he had time to dive to the side just as he realized a dragon's head, seeming to hear him, was peeking over the top. His body, concealed by a large rock that was luckily at his side, made him undetectable, and the large dragon head dissapered over the top. It must have been quite a small hole at the top if the volcano allowed an entire dragon to sit atop. He continued his climb, looking at the ground for some more materials. It appeared that materials must have been more scarce here, the metals being taken being taken by some of the dragons. It kind of sucked that he had to climb the mountain to even be able to get up there. He cowered as he heard a dragon shrieking, appearing in pain and anger. The dragon he seen before was knocked off the side of the volcano, and it used its claws to catch back up the side. Was there another dragon up there attacking it? He only heard one set of roaring, so he had no idea. He did not even realize that mobs fought eachother. Or perhaps it was a player? He hastened. He could not have another player ruining his only chances on getting his familiar. Another roar and a large shatter. Blue pixels flew everywhere, signaling the dragons death. Why had it died? It looked quite powerful, and it could easily breath fire as easily as it could stand. The originial boss to this floor was a dragon that after a while turned into nothing but complete fire. Hopefully, just hopefully he would get that familiar this time. He had told a few of his friends that he would not go on anymore adventures until he got one. Here he was, doing his best to stay true to his word. He really had been training hard lately. Beatbox went crazy, and he heard that he was as strong as Itzal now. Jonathan wanted to be level Forty-Five by the time he was tanking for the next boss fight. This next boss would probably be quite interesting. He just had a feeling. He continued his climb. He felt a bit different being this high up. The air was getting harder to catch, but his <<Survival>> Skill kept him going. He found a large rock to rest upon. He really needed to conserve his energy as much as possible. It was a bit scarce up here. 76007 LD:12+6= Material found! It was hard work climbing this volcano and his temperature battled eachother from the heat of the volcano, and the coldness of his altitude. He stood finally n d take a few deep breaths. He continued his climb and eventually unequipped his sword so it would not weigh him doew. Eventually he got lucky. He found a path, encircling the volcano that appeared to be there for an easier walk. He stepped onto it. This was much better. He would not have to worry about it getting harder to climb up every step. "I am coming for familiar. When I do, you will be mine." Jonathan stepped forward, found another material on the ground and continued his long walk. It must have been rather easy for Itzal to be able to do this quest. With his scout abilites, it should have been a breeze for him to be able to complete such a task. Jonathan was a tank though. He would not have it so easy. He turned away. Why was this quest so long? Perhaps he should just head back for now? No. He must keep going. He tried to search for material, but they seemed to be becoming scarce. The air was becoming much hotter than before meaning he must have been getting quite close to the volcano's core. He sighed, getting a bit miserable from the journey. He had better get a familiar this time around or else he was just.... He could not give up though. He would just follow the creature again and storm through like a trooper. He needed this familair. He needed it for healing before they started some more events. The heat was almost unbearable at this point, and most of the oxygen had been replaced by some other gas. Smelled bad too. The fact that his familiar would live here made perfect sense. If he could find it, that would be great. Better off, he was going to find it. This time for sure, he was not waiting around any longer. What if it lived IN the volcano though. Hopefully it would come out. It was either on top or in the volcano, probably in since something had to of killed the dragon back there. He really was almost there! He kicked a material with his foot, and quickly picked it up. It was good to gather as many materials as possible. He would have no use for it, so he would probably just gift them to someone. Apparently mama did not like him killing her babies. At the base of the volcano stood a larger dragon than all of the other ones he had seen. It might not actually be the mama. Wasn't full size, but it was up there. Jonathan scrambled upward. Perhaps if he could just make it t the top and get the familiar, he could get away in time? He would have to bet on that. It was literally the only way. He could not go back down, and try to slay it. "Alright, Almost there, just a little further" Even though he was deadly quiet, somehow the dragon still seemed to hear him. It roared as it looked at him, and with a beat of its powerful wings it glided into the air. If it was not trying to kill him, it would have looked amazing. It roared and sailed through the air before shooting straight up into the sky. Then, it shot back down, breathing fire at him. It almost actually got him. Too close. Link to post Share on other sites

It might sound stupid saying something like that, but when you get a huge dragon breathing fire at you, you will get a little scared to. Jonathan was almost to the top. Just a little farther. The dragon seemed to know it as well. It landed atop in his path and breathed fire down at him. Jonathan was forced to jump out of the way to not get scorched. Something was wrong with this dragon. It apparently had no idea where he was now. It must have been blind. It went completely by hearing. An Idea sparked his mind and he picked up a nearby rock, careful to make no noise. Then, he chucked the rock down the mountain and watched the dragon sail right down. Maybe it was not completely blind if it could fly well, but something definitely was wrong. Jonathan turned. He started scrambling up, and the dragon figured out it was a trick. A roar behind him and he knew it had found him. He launched himself over the top of the volcano. Link to post Share on other sites

The heat was searing from here, and only a very mall hole was left out for the lava to get through. Perhaps they dd not want player to suicide like that or something. He looked around, it must have been down here! There was a tree up here, funny that it was an ash tree. His eyes met the hole. Perhaps it had gone down there? He could just stay here until it came back up. Then, the silence broke. A roar the defied the volcano was heard from below. The dragon. It flew upwards and landed onto the volcano. This one was definently older than the rest, and probably had the use of fire under its sleeve. He had read many stories about knights fighting dragons, and the bravery behind it. He never thought HE would be doing the same. The dragon slashed at him with its extended claws and Jonathan had to roll in forward at the dragon. He stood up, bringing his weapon with him and straight into the beasts chest. It roared and Jonathan rolled to the side to prevent injuries. He smirked and pointed his weapon forward, a gold glint arose from the silver weapon. "Is that all you got?" the blond asked. He was expecting a real big challenge there, but the dragon had proved to be slow, which made it easy for him, but would end up makig it quite boring later. The blond minded the hole to ensure he did not fall in, that would be quite bad. He thought this was going to be some top notch fight, that he would almost die. Man the standards here were quite low. Jonathan raised his blade, ready to strike again. Th dragon appeared to be weak at the moment. Just then, lightning fast, the dragon slapped him with its tail, sending him sailing backwards. He stopped at the edge of the volcano, luckily not flying off of it. He stood with a groan and put his weapon in between them. "I underestimated you a bit. Not again though. You will perish here and now." He smiled gripping his weapon with a stronger grasp. He should have known the dragon wasn't as weak as it let on to be. It was quite a bit faster than the other ones when it came to movement speed. The dragon growled and craned its neck. Jonathan stood, rubbing the area on his chest which had been hit. It had been quite the impact. If the game did not give him superhuman abilities to not be killed instantly, he would have been killed instantly by that blow. He raised his weapon and smiled. "Alright, enough play time, lets get straight to the main course" The blond dashed forward, surprising the dragon with his speed. As he got close enough, he struck. His blade slashed through its chest and the dragon bellowed in pain and rage. The blond landed softly to the ground, and managed to dodge the pounding of its claws to the volcano. He rose to his feet, somehow unharmed, and his body felt amazing. His blade gleamed brightly and he smiled, turning back to the dragon. "Shall you give up? Seriously, I am getting a bit tired of this fight myself. His smiled and stepped forward, twirling his weapon from side to side. The dragon was not happy with him and lashed forward at him with its tail. He raised his sword up, deflecting before charging. His blade defied the creature with a violent gold aura. He swung his weapon forward, the blade straining to cut into the dragon. Hi weapon made contact and the dragon bellowed in pain. Another Critical. He leapt off the creature once more and in the split second he was in the air, he was slapped aside, his weapon skidding out of his hands. He rolled, almost off of the edge. He pulled himself up and glanced at his weapon. The dragon kept its tail in that general direction though. It knew that he had to get to it somehow. This game did not have magic, and he did not have martial arts. The blond grimaced and the dragon made its head snake back an forth, spewing a mist of flame just to make its point clear. He ran. Jonathan sprinted forward, surprising the dragon a bit. It swung its tail, the blade like part of its body swinging at him at full speed. He slid down underneath it, and found his weapon. He smiled and moved over to retrieve it. The dragon roard in defiance, slashing wildly with its tail. He dodged the first one, deflected the next and dodged the final one. He smiled at his blocking and dodging abilities and smirked to the dragon. "Well, you can't get me without my sword either, so what is the point?" He chuckled and raised his blade, the dragon rearing its head back at the sight of it again. It had no chance, and it knew it. He was healing as fast as it was fighting. Finally he paused. The dragon roared and slashed forward with its tail. He rolled to the right then bound forward, making one final leap before he was at the head of the dragon. He slashed forward on its head and it roared, and tried to scorch him. He shifted his position in the air, and then landed safely on the ground. One more hit and the dragon would be finished. His weapon had done a rather fine job of fighting the creature. He was just glad that it would be over in a mere minute. The dragon seemed to know it as well. It did something rather unexpected. It roared toward where it had originally come from. Was it calling for help? He was not sure if he could take on two dragons at the same time, so he would have to make this rather quick. He charged forward, making haste. The dragon knew its time had come and stood completely still, letting him get a direct hit. He slashed its chest, and with one final roar it fell to the ground, perishing. He smiled and turned just as another dragon, appearing to be its mate, arrived. He pointed his weapon forward and the dragon hissed at him, snaking its way toward him. The blond just smiled and backed away to give him a bit more room. This battle should not be much different then the one that had just happened. As long as he could ensure he got the job done, and get the job done fast enough, he shoul be able to search for his familiar. The familiar was his top priority on this adventure. He would NOT let it escape this time. Jonathan shrugged and stepped in, prepared for the same moves the other dragon displayed. The dragon slashed its tail violently, but the blond deflected the attack, taking no damage. If it was not for his supreme block skill, then he was sure that he would have been flattened. Some of his skill had moved to his sword though. He stepped in, moving with the force of a hurricane. He bound forward, striking into the creatures skin, causing red gashed to appear on its skin. He backed away to prevent further damage to him. He checked his energy levels which seemed to be right around half full. He should be able to finish this creature with the rest of the reserve of energy he had. "Alright, lets finish this!" He rose his blade, its sight angering the dragon a bit. The battle was going good, and the dragon's health was dropping quite a bit quicker than the other. Perhaps it was weaker. He advanced forward again, raising his sword. This time, the dragon seemed to try to fight back a bit harder. It slashed forward with its tail, knocking him off balance. Upon his weak point, the dragon slashed wildly with its claws, creating red marks in his arm. He rolled back, his other hand moving to the injured area. Red shards were leaking from it. Smiling he charged forward, slashing across the dragon's body with his sword once more. It was losing health rather quickly, and the blond was still doing fine. "Haven't you realized there is no point in finishing this battle? I am just much to powerful" He chuckled and pointed his weapon forward. He could see in its eyes, that it did not like the sight of it. Its attacks were becoming more frequent and wild, slashing desperately to kill the small player. He deflected another blow before rolling to the side. He was getting closer and closer to its body. Finally, it snaked its tail until it pointed straight at him. It thrust straight forward, striking him in the chest. He growled and burst forward, finally getting in range. He slashed the creature, its body becoming full of the red gashes. The dragon roared and fell back off the volcano, leaving him to stand atop it. It encircled the volcano, blowing flames upon the sides. Steam arose from the mountain, scorching the rocks. The dragon was getting lower in its flight, its wounds becoming more visible. It was straining the rest of its energy. It would kill itself if it kept it up, but it might cause the Volcano to erupt a little bit. Burning him alive.
