{PP-F2} Bringing in a little muscle <<Breaking the Unbreakable>>

Recommended Posts

Kaya watched as the two smashed the boulder with no problems at all. Especially Stryder who managed to break a few cracks on the large boulder. See as it was finally her turns once more, Kaya slowly took her time stepping up to the plate. She looked at her clenched fist as she walked up to the rock. Last time was painful, is punching it once more really worth it? As she contemplated on what to do, she even got really close to the rock. Staring at it intensely, she tightly clenched her first. She leans back for one big swing. As her fist flies through the air, it's stopped by the rock who didn't seem to budge, move, shake, or something. Reeling back, she falls flat on her back as she shakes her right hake from the pain. "Is it always this painful?" She looks up to the two who were getting ready to hit the rock once more.

He looked at Pinball, who had managed to damage it this time! He was glad, though when he watched Kaya go in for another hit, he noticed her holding back. He watched her shaking her hand, meaning she hadn't really realized about the pain yet.... He felt it sometimes, the phantom pain, but he had made himself block it out when he was fighting, otherwise it would be too distracting, though no one could do it all the time.

"Don't hurt yourself" He says, grinning as he stared at the rock. He wanted to motivate them both, he was going to hit it one more time, then let Pin and Kaya do the rest. He didn't want to do this whole thing for them, half of this quest was having the mental patience to go through with it, and he wasn't about to do all the work for them.

He looked at it for a moment, before seeing.... A tiny split. He quickly pulled his fist back, hitting it as hard as he could, the thud audiable as he dented the rock, watching it hit half durability as his fist caused a huge dent in it. He hoped hat would motivate them....

"Rest is up to you two, half this quest is having the patience to outlast this thing, unless it gets to ridiculous, im not gonna intervene again"  He says to the two, smiling as he went over and sat down, watching them.

Pinball intently watched Kaya hit the boulder, causing no damage, and then Stryder, who caused enormous damage. He whistled to himself as the boulder hit half health. Stryder's use of the Martial Arts skill was impressive, to say the least. But when he heard and saw Stryder sit down, informing them he would be sitting out the rest of the fight. Immediately, Pinball became anxious. Again he would be forced to try and endure the mental and physical torment that is attempting to break the damned boulder. He sighed deeply, nervous yet again. Sidestepping Kaya, who was still recovering from her attack, he took a spot in front of the boulder, reeling his hand back. He took a swing, his fist hitting the boulder and then quickly slipping along the side of it, the momentum carrying him forward and onto his stomach. "Ouch," he said with a dull voice, sitting up. Dissapointed, he shuffled back next to Kaya, looking over to her. "Your turn, I guess."

Stryder wasn't going to help us anymore. This large rock's HP is only half way, and he's cutting us off from help already. Kaya took a deep breath as she calmed herself. A soft breeze blew as she closed her eyes, almost zen like. She waited until it was her turn. As Pinball says that it's her turn finally, she slowly opens her eyes. Seeing the boulder, she began running at it with everything she's got. As soon as she got closer, she drew he right leg back. As she swings her leg, she closes her eyes, hoping for the best. Before she knew it, she was flat on the ground, the boulder still perfectly intact and they were no further closer to finishing than they were a few moments ago. She missed. Frustrated, she walked back to her spot to wait for her turn once more. Her face, couldn't hide the disappointment she had with herself.

Once again, it was Pinball's turn. Apparently, since Stryder stopped helping, they couldn't land a punch on the boulder. As a result, Pinball's confidence wasn't very high. It was his turn. Pinball stepped up to the boulder, greatly disturbed by their inability to even land a hit on the immobile lump of stone. He let out a deep sigh, and, half-heartedly threw a punch. His fist landed not with the smack of his usual critical hit, but with a bone crunching crack that left Pinball rolling on the ground, clutching his injured hand. Tears threatened to spill, and his hand felt like it was throbbing. The boulder, however, remained unchanged by his punch, with no damage done to it. Pinball walked backwards, behind Kaya, cradling his hurt hand. "Your turn," he said as he passed her. "Crack the bastard," he added, taking a seat in the dirt well away from the boulder.

15/50 Boulder

Sky was noticing the two having trouble actually breaking it donw. He knew how long it would still take them with the little amount of damage they could do per hit. He had wanted to sit out.... But he had no reason too. They still needed help, and he didn't want to sit by. He walked over to it, and with a powerpunch sent a shard flying off the mountain. He grinned, looking at the two, waiting for them to have there turn.

He loved this floor, it was beautiful, and even here, breaking this pain in the ass rock it was beautiful. He loved the air, he loved everything about this place!!!

"You guys are gonna have to get the last hit" He said, stepping abck a little, before prepping to sprint. He was gonna hit it one more time, then it was there turn to break it. It was gonna be up to them after that to destroy this bugger, up to them to get this skill.

Pinball took a stretch, cracked his knuckles. He stepped up to the boulder, a look of calm determination in his eyes. He brought his fist back, and down onto the boulder with an audible crack! He had landed a critical hit. He jumped backwards, then walked back to Stryder. I hit it again, thank God, he thought, immensely relieved. The boulder shouldn't have that much health left, and at the rate they were going, they would be done within the next hour. "Alright, then," Pinball said aloud, more to himself than to Stryder. "We should be getting this done soon, you don't think?" Stryder, after all, had the most experience with this thing. He was in possession of the MA skill himself, and even focused on it as a primary means of fighting. Even if we don't finish it as soon as I hoped, at least I'll get it eventually. It shouldn't be too much longer.

 Battle: 3+3 - Hit - 10 DMG

3/50 Boulder

Sky looked at the bolder, watching as Pinball went and stuck it brutally. No one else was doing anything, so he decided to end this. Walking up, be smashes the rock as hard as he could cracking it in half, except for a small little strand which kept it togehter enough for it to stay as a 'entity'. He only needed to give it one more good tap, one more good tap would destroy it... Assuming Pinball here doesn't manage to break it.

"If ya break it before i hit it next, i'l be impressed" He said to the guy, cracking his neck and crouching down, preparing a massive leap. If Pinball failed, he was going to leap into the air and bring a leg down right onto it, hopefully cracking it in half! Well, more like shattering it into a few thousand pieces, and once that was done he could get off this boring mountain.

"I'll hit it," he said uncomfortably, "but there's no way in hell I'll be breaking it. With that, he walked up to the boulder, bringing down his fist as hard as he managed. Nonetheless, it lacked the power he really had wanted, and it did little more than widen the small crack that had been growing for a while now. "Feel free to break it," he said, returning to his spot. "I don't wanna be up here any more than the next guy. I'm tired of hitting, missing, hitting, missing." He stopped and watched the boulder, and hated it just a little more. It wasn't that it had done anything particularly cruel to him, seeing as it was a boulder and not a person, but he had still gone through a lot of discomfort, both mentally and physically. He was done waiting for this thing to break, and so he gave Stryder the go-ahead to do so himself. Plus, the man seemed rather eager to finally break the boulder as well.

 Battle: 6

Boulder: -8/50 - DESTROYED, DEAD, MADE INTO A BILLION PIECES OF HATED ROCK!

Sky watches as he staggers, punching the rock and delivering a small amount of damage to it. He shrugged, leaping ten feet into the air, doing some crazy array of flips before coming down, smashing the rock so hard it explodes into a billion pieces, flying everywhere before disintegrating and leaving the world. Pin would have gotten the quest cleared screen, meaning Sky had done his job, he had helped this guy get his skill, he had destroyed the rock.

"Well, iv done my job. Have a good day Pin" He says, walking off, forgetting about Kaya as he just wanted to run. Within a minute he had already bolted away and was long gone, vanishing into the forests as he ran to his house, wanting to get some rest. He hated that quest, he didn't know how many more times he would be willing to do it in general.

"Jesus!" He exclaimed, as Stryder completely obliterated the boulder. The quest complete screen popped up, and Stryder was gone, running off and offering little explanation. "Oh, okay," he said, just as the man who gave him the quest came up to him and wiped the whiskers off with two quick swipes of a handkerchief. Pinball turned to Kaya, saying goodbye and thanking her for her help as well, before walking down the path he had taken to climb up the mountain. A good day's work, Pinball thought, putting his hands in the pockets of his cloth armor. Especially with Stryder there. The guy got a little impatient towards the end and then ran off, he mused, humored by the thought. Understandable. I was ready to quit after my first two misses. He reached the bottom of the path and headed towards the Floor's main city, aiming to get to the teleport pad. Well, at least it's over with, the teenager thought, balling up his fists. And now I have yet another layer of protection if anything goes wrong. As it should be.
