Emerath became more concerned as the dragon tore through Endilix's defenses, managing to bypass even the man's thorns. This dragon wasn't something to be messed with, and it didn't fill him with a lot of confidence for future entries into this quest chain. If this baby was so dangerous, what if they had faced a real dragon? Emerath's blood ran cold from the thought, but he shook his head and tried to focus on the task at hand. He considered his options, either stunning the beast once again, or hitting it with all he had. The scales would prevent a lot of his damage, but the more damage he did, the closer they got to winning if Flints wasn't able to land a killing blow. The dragon was in the red. It wouldn't take much more.

Emerath whistled and Mist flew to his arm, Emerath pointed at the dragon's face, and Mist hooted before shooting off for its eyes. She clawed the dragon's eyes, and the creature reeled, unable to ignore the owl this time. Emerath nodded, mentally thanking his companion, as he ran up to the creature, his feet and fists glowing their signature crimson red. Emerath gave the creature a solid few punches to the side, but he could feel the resistance in the creature's scales, before he drove a final punch as deep into its side as he could. Emerath huffed, as he saw the creature's HP only drop a minimal amount. "Stupid dragon... with its stupid scales..." he muttered as Mist flew back to his side.

Endilix was a little frustrated that the dragon was still alive. He was certain that his party would have killed it much faster than this. But he didn't voice that, lest they decide to turn on him next. Instead, he watched as Emerath dealt solid damage after Mist proved a good distraction. But it worked even better in favor as the seemingly blinded dragon swung his claws at Endilix and he was able to easily block and dodge the blows. Emerath's owl was well trained, Endilix had to give him that.

Not wanting to be out done by his brother, Endilix spun up his hammer, and it glowed a solid crimson of its own, matching that of his twin's color, before Endilix let it loose into the chin of the wildly flailing baby dragon. "Don't call it a comeback yet, but you're going down little guy. You can't even hit me, let alone kill me," Endilix said as he continued to taunt the beast.

Flints watched as the brothers once again seemed to sync up, even mist was working in harmony with the two, Flints felt like them being twins gave them an unnatural ability to sync up that she just couldn’t quite master, she was strong but her accuracy in this moment was lacking, or was the dragon just too fast for her? Maybe she still wasn’t really ready to be in a party. Sure she missed the brothers, one more than the other at this point but she felt like she was slowing them down, “we’ve got to be more precise” she nodded to Antilian who howled out into the sky but was met with an equally loud scream from the young dragon who had just taken a walloping from Endilix and wasn’t taking too keen on the attempted strike from Flints. “I just can’t seem to catch a break can I?” She hissed at the dragon.

The battle had started to drag on, and while it was clear who the victors would be, the dragon sure was taking its sweet time dying. Emerath sighed, as he watched Flints miss again, thinking to himself that he needed to get that girl some accuracy. Emerath himself flashed forward, anticipating the dragon's sidestep exactly, as he also sidestepped and drove a solid set of punches directly into the dragon's soft underbelly. But despite this, it still wasn't enough to deal more than a sliver of the dragon's health. Emerath grunted as he stepped back and couldn't help the heavy breaths that escaped him into his mask. This fight was tiring, long, and he wondered if they had actually been ready for this. Though at least of everyone, Endilix seemed to be having a good time.

Emerath looked back to Flints, who seemed visibly frustrated by the current goings on of the battle. Emerath wished he knew what he could do to help, but in combat morale was never his forte. That was always Endilix's thing. But the two were still at odds, even in combat. Hardly celebrating or cheering each other on in any way. And Emerath was the awkward third wheel.

As Emerath delivered more punches, Endilix could see the dragon wearing down. As its health dwindled dangerously in the red, it gave Endilix a weak attempt at a chomp, that Endilix was easily able to dodge. Endilix frowned at the creature, "Oh, getting tired? You poor thing. Want to take a nap before we murder you?" The dragon gave Endilix a weak roar in response to his taunts, And Endilix answered by swinging his hammer at the creature's snout once again, causing it to squeak in surprise as the blow connected.

Slowly, the creature lowered its head and growled, before, without warning, it charged Endilix. Endilix gasped from the unexpected tactic, and rolled off to the side to dodge the attack attempt. But that wasn't what the dragon wanted. It just... kept going. It took Endilix only a moment to realize what it was doing. "It's running away! After it!" Endilix cried, as he stormed after the dragon, and managed to grab its swinging tail and tried to dig his heels in to stop the larger creature.

Flints was tired of this constant struggle between the group and the poor brood. Whipping herself around Flints charged full force into the side of the hatching, feeling the edge of her spear pierce the armor like scales of the beast and not stop there, the blade went straight through, having Flints smack her shoulder into its hip as it wreathed in pain around the woman in a last attempt to scare her but alas the damage was done. Small pitiful cries came from it’s snout until it burst into a flurry or red pixels, bringing Flints back to reality, enough to part from the now empty crouch she held. Her Stare was a little blank but she was glad that this was over, at least for now. She really needed to work on her accuracy. Placing her weapon back into its place against her back she straightened out and brushed Antilian’s fur back, glad that their ordeal was over.
