Ariel - The Crowned Lion 0 Posted January 7, 2020 Author #21 Report Share Posted January 7, 2020 (edited) Seeing how the odds seemed to even a little, the one who has only been a discreet spectator until now decided to act, seeing as his odds of survival instantly tripled with 3 out of the 4 initial bulls now slain and the fourth one being well within the red zone. He mustered the courage to move away from his rock and waved, getting the blonde's attention while she was trying to kite the mob. Under normal circumstances the proud lioness would stop running and face the beast but she's hit a digital wall/restriction that her male counterpart didn't notice. His lack of battle experience was showing and the blonde couldn't help but utter "The hell are you doing! Get back from where you come from!" rage filling her every word, amplified by the fact that this latest distraction cost her to receive yet another hit, making her almost trip on the sand. "Geez that thing is even scarier when its chasing you." he added while peeking behind them over his shoulder. It looked like he completely ignored her warnings and jumped right into the " fight" and while she would give him credit to having grow a pair she had to make him clearly understand the situation. "I.. I have no more energy left... I can't finish it off." muttered the blonde, glad that the stamina system in this virtual world allowed her to run for so much time already. Her "jogging" companion didn't reply for a second as he processed the new information reacting with a almost animal: "HUUUUUUHHHHHHH????" suddenly his calculation had a new variable that seemed to have slimed the previous result. "I hate you so much right now." he simply replied, fear whelming up at the thought of their demise. Lucky, if you can call it that, this was not the blonde's first close encounter to death so she held her fear in check relatively more easily than her running partner. "That can wait..." she muttered between breaths " Get into a steady pace and watch where you run, after a while it will stop chasing us." she said, trying to reassure him and herself in the same time. Just one look at her health bar made her feel uneasy. There wasn't a reply at first but after the blonde took a look behind and several more steps ahead, Dracul finally muttered a short "Very well..." it seemed like he went through some mental acrobatics before deciding to trust the blonde. He held back his thoughts about other possible tactics for now and followed Ariel's lead. However it didn't prove as easy to run away from a mob once one engaged it. Not to mention, Ariel had managed to skin off four fifths of its total HP bar until she ran out of energy and Dracul, to his frustration, couldn't even get past its native armor. Neither of them brought up the subject as it distract him from the task in hand. That thought seemed to evaporate as both of them started seeing the forest, however they felt nothing close to relief as a obstacle rose in front of them before they could enter it. A massive cropping in the land jutted upwards about 2 meters, effectively separating the sandy land from the forest. It stretched all around the coast side and right now their only alternative seemed directly to be climbing over it. Ariel - The Crowned Lion 0 Posted January 8, 2020 Author #25 Report Share Posted January 8, 2020 (edited) Problems seemed to be pilling one on top of the other for the two adventurers and the forest ahead offered only a glimmer of hope on running away from the bull. The blonde didn't know if this mob was particularly persistent or even the low level mobs had this tenacity. She had never been forced to flee from a fight since joining this death game and this situation annoyed her more than anything else. Mostly because it hurt her pride and having someone with first seat privileges to her disgrace only fueled her rage. They we're starting to get closer to the 'wall' in front of them but the blonde showed no sign of slowing down and at mere meters away from slamming herself against the obstacle she crouched and springed upwards with feral agility as if she's we're Kimba. Dracul lost himself in her gracious display for a moment before being reminded of his current situation by a loud bellow from behind. Meanwhile Ariel landed safely on all fours and stretched her back; knowing her bodie's capabilities even with the extra mod skills such as Acrobatics made such feat easy for her. "Grab on!" she shouted, determination burning in her gaze as she tried to burn her feet into the ground. Once he reached the end of the sandy shore, he looked up and with little resistance he jumped as high as his armored body allowed him. They both grabbed onto each other's hands and Ariel used ounce of strength in decisive one pull. Metal clanked against ground as Dracul found himself propelled upwards and tossed onto the ground besides the blonde. The bull which was running at top speed didn't seem to notice the obstacle in front of him and while chasing the armored figure, it bashed its head against the earth, which slightly shock below the two. They both burst into laughter after sharing a glare which marked their successful escape from the horned beast.
