Luckily the time it took gave the bluenette enough time to reposition and prepare for an attack, nimbly dodging the dangerous stinger it possessed. The pinkette took her opportunity to take a stab at the beast but to no avail. The blade clanged off its hard exoskeleton, doing absolutely nothing. Yuki turned to Luna and gave her a confident grin. "Alright, we're almost done, Tsuki-chan! Finish it off, you can do it." The stalwart paladin again shoved her shield into the wasps face, between its rage and Luna. "I am your shield, I will support you!" Newfound confidence swelled inside Yuki. Fighting with someone to improve herself and just actually do something with her life in this ridiculous game. She hoped Luna and she could continue to adventure with each other in the future. This would be the start of an amazing friendship. The slender teen huffed. They were so tantalizingly close to killing it, one more hit from Luna or a round of thorns from Yuki and it would be done. But somehow fate seemed to be playing a trick on them. Either that or they just had terrible RNG. The blue-haired girl chuckled as she heard Yuki go on about how she was Luna’s shield. It was cute, and helped to bolster the bluenette’s confidence. She began to wonder why she had put off adventuring for so long, when it had turned out to actually be pretty fun, with the right people of course. It seemed like she had found a pretty solid adventuring companion in Yuki too. “Hey, we’re close to killing it. Like, one hit I think, you can do it Yuki!” Luna said with a smile on her face. She charged into the beast once more, expecting the giant insect to finally die from her final blow. She watched her blade sink directly into the Queen's body. Expecting it to fall to the ground, she watched its health points drop even closer to death... and stop right before it hit zero. She groaned. "This thing refuses to die! Kisama! Shine!" The pinkette raised her brilliant blade once more to strike it again before it could react and attack either of them. It missed the chance to attack her but was still able to fling the small girl like a speedy pink blur past Luna, she braces herself to hit the ground and lets out a resounding groan as she makes contact with the dirt. Dizzy and disoriented she tries her best to regain her footing. She wouldn't be there to shield the bluenette before the wasp could try something. Luna 0 Posted February 25, 2020 #24 Report Share Posted February 25, 2020 (edited) Roll: ID: 136500 BD: 6 (hit) Luna couldn’t understand the Japanese that Yuki had just blurted out, but she was pretty sure that she got the general sentiment, given the frustration clear in the pinkette’s voice. “Alright…time to finish this thing” Luna said with determination before she rushed towards the creature. She drew her rapier back as she closed the distance, and once she was within striking range she thrust the weapon forwards with as much might as her small frame could muster. It sank in, and as it did Luna saw the Queen’s HP drop to 0. “I-I did it!” She exclaimed in amazement as the creature exploded into a glittering cloud of data shards before her. A menu appeared saying “QUEST COMPLETED.”, and the petite girl turned to yuki with a grin on her face. “W-we did it! Thank you so much Yuki, seriously!” She exclaimed before she put her rapier back into it’s scabbard. “Onto the next one I guess, right?” Yuki 20/20HP HATE: 2 Luna 69/80HP EN 2/8 MIT 9 EVA 2 DMG 4 HATE: 3 Queen -2/50HP (-4 HP basic attack) Edited February 25, 2020 by Luna Link to post Share on other sites
Zajcica 0 Posted February 25, 2020 Author #25 Report Share Posted February 25, 2020 (edited) Yuki shook her head to clear the clutter and stood back up to her feet, but the moment she stood up and retook the fighting posture, a prompt appeared in front of her to signify the end of the quest. She sighed in relief when that stupid thing finally exploded into tiny white data slots. Her eyes shifted over to her bluenette companion who was cheering for their success. "Yattaa! Good job, Tsuki-Chan. You did really well with that fight, and you were worried that you wouldn't be able to contribute as much to the fight but you did most of the damage, or at least as much as I did!" The pinkette's rosy mane was covered in dirt and all around just massive rats-nest now. The braid in the back had come loose upon impact with the ground and her long looks were free. Her hair was much wilder when it wasn't tamed by the braid. "Now, let's see about getting you some new gear, hunh? That way you can nuke things even fast!" Yuki said with a happy smile. Spoiler Quest Complete! All conditions met! Rewards - <<The Matriarch's Stinger>> This incredibly potent venom can be applied to a weapon to provide an additional +1 damage for the duration of one battle. (Awarded to each player; this is treated functionally identical to an uncommon damage potion) 3 Skill Points + 1 Page SP Edited February 25, 2020 by Zajcica Added the rewards for the quest.
