[SP-F4] Seeking the Beast on the Mountain

He picks up the skull, turning it in his hands. He turns it upside-down, looking up through the chin and to the top of the skull. A red seal is visible. Upon pressing the seal, a loud screeching static is heard from the bone, much like a dial-up connection. He looks around to see what the symbol has done.

He scans the horizon, wondering what on earth the sigil could have done. He sees a flurry of movement in the far distance, some sort of white-furred creature coming his way. He drew his sword, squinting against the snow glare as the blur barreled towards him. "We have company." he whispered to his raven.

The beast was closer than he anticipated and it barreled into him. He only had time to activate <> as he was thrown back.

His hand wildly strikes the monster's neck, sending it reeling backwards.

He rolls backwards, drawing his greatsword he gets onto the balls of his feet. He pushes off, swinging at the chest of the bear.

The bear falls off the cliff, fall damage killing it. "Ah well." is all Ether says as he walks over to the skull, picking up a bone that was buried in the snow beforehand.

He brings the bone down hard on the skull, his frustration in the rumour getting to him. The bone strikes the skull and a BANG reverberates around the plateau.
