Her socks felt the brunt of the impact, a squelching sound from her soles evident. She emerged from the waves a shivering mess, all thanks to her bold decision to aim farther outland. A wild gust of wind sent shivers up her spine. Ah well. At least the payoff was worth it. Pursuing the Lurker upfront saved them the extra time, the fish all but decimated. Haine inhaled sharply, willing herself on into the fray. Raidou's commentary brightened her mood as she exchanged a hearty laugh. "Yeah, yeah. Bummer!" For being away from their element, these fish moved in ways which defied gravity. Haine furrowed her brows as one flopped to close for comfort. A quick duck led her to safety.

The man's words invoked a sense of nostalgia. A warm smile found its way to her face. She shared a nod, before turning to the group among her. Glaive luminated a brilliant blue, before decimating all but one. She nonchalantly blew the dust off the blade.

Vengeful Refreshed, recovers 81 via Battle Healing

A smile shared with the girl as the nomad enjoyed the flashback and the taste of a happy past on his tongue, with a tinge of some chocolate ice cream to boot. With one quick and decisive blast, Haine reduced the smaller to nothing. The largest among them now isolated completely floundered and flopped with a soft glub. This was over and Raidou knew it. Flipping his weapon to the side and returning it to its sheathe, the blackened sword finds its hearth once more. "Haine I appreciate the invite, and I am proud of your growth." his voice began to shake, his mind racing to something that was predatory and stuck in it like glue. "I will find her...I am convinced it is bothering you as well. Leave it to me, I will not rest until then. You focus on this happiness and let me handle the sadness alright?" he smiled loosely to the woman with a smaller voice riddling his ears.
