His father was a Pollice officer and his Mother was a Nurse. At the age of 1, Mikael was diagnosed with Epilepsy as he had his first Epilepsy Attack. For as long as he remembers he was filled with pills to keep this condition under control. But his childhood was a simple and happy one. Although he had frequent Epilepsy Attacks, he doesn't remember them so only the good memories remained. Only one memory he had from that time: He was playing with his parents in nature and then he blacked out. The next thing he remembers he was in a hospital bed and overheard a doctor saying that he will not live past 15. Besides this, his childhood was quite normal and happy. He had not a care in the world and he was loved. At the age of 7 he started playing videogames and was profoundly impressed by fantasy games. As such, he wanted to become a wizard. Coming from a very spiritual family, he asked his Grandfather how he can become a wizard and the Grandfather has shared a bit of his Occult knowledge he had with the boy. However, Mikael being a little child, it went right over his head. However, things have changed when he got into grade school. From the end of his 5th grade to be more precise. Due to his Epilepsy medication as a side effect he was a bit cranky and irascible as a side-effect from his medication. This has affected his social interactions with his colleagues and ultimately, it lead to him being bullied by the class. The bullying was only making his condition worse, as it made him have regular mental breakdowns, at some point on a daily basis. It was hell on earth for Mikael and he could not do anything about it. Due to the constant bullying, the boy closed off inside himself and developed Chronic Depression and Acute Anxiety. Of course at the moment he was not aware of that. By the age of 13, he was somehow able to cure himself from epilepsy and no longer had to take any medication. But it was too late as it was too hard to stop the bullying at this point. Time has passed, and Mikael found refuge in his videogames. The only thing that made this life brighter and made him happy. In High School, he was diagnosed with Depression and Anxiety by a Psychologist. At the age of 15, he rediscovered the Occult and spirituality and he learned that magic is not really what he though he was. He started to recollect what his grandfather told him when he was little and went to be taught by him. He learned about tarot divination, about the Occult, Religions and how everything is connected. On the side he also started to study psychology in order to better understand himself so that he can actively get rid of his Depression and Anxiety. On the side, he also learned that physical exercise can help this. So he started going to martial arts and practice Ninjutsu. In 2 years, at the age of 17 he was able to achieve red belt and win a national championship. At the age of 19, he was finally able to rid himself of Anxiety and Depression, however, a few coping mechanisms still remained. Like his habit of playing videogames which turned into a passion. But even after achieving his goal, Mikael continued to study psychology as a hobby and to develop himself spiritually. At the current age of 23, he was already quite versed in his domains. He also heard about a game called SAO. He tried to enter the beta to test it, however, he was no selected and had to wait until it's release. At the release he was very excited to start playing. That is until he found himself teleported to the plaza in the town of beginnings. There he learned the cruel truth that they are stuck and if they die here, they will die in real life. That struck Mikael like a hammer. At first he was in denial of the whole thing and though it could be a prank. He wandered in the town for a while, until he realized this is real. He tried to calm down and offer counseling to people who were in worse mental states than him. This is when he started gathering information and learning about this whole situation. He learned that the first floor was cleared and people were actually pushing towards clearing the game. He came to the realization that this was the only way. After all this time, he prepared himself mentally and even though he has a late start, he is ready to do his part in clearing this game and going back home. Virtues Spoiler Mature Spoiler If it were to describe the Mikael in one sentence it would be: "An old man in the body of a Youngster." The Boy is an extremely mature person for someone his age. He has almost complete control over his emotions and desires. However, this does not mean he has control over what he feels, only that he has control over how he manifests his feelings. This ability of his was honed through a lot of self-development during a long time. Responsible Spoiler Due to Mikael being a Mature Adult, he learned to take responsibility for everything in his life, his life included. He learned that no one else is responsible for his own life and circumstances. He came to the realization that, no one can save you but yourself. And as such, he believe that everything that happens in his life is his own fault and responsibility to deal with. Self-Developer Spoiler Mikael is constantly looking to improve himself. He has an ideal version of himself in his mind, and whenever he notices he deviates from that ideal, he tries to analyze himself and try to deal with those flaws or improve himself. His goal is to become perfect by his own standards. It was this virtue that allowed Mikael to become a Mature and Responsible person. Psychologist Spoiler Psychology is one of Mikael's passions. He wants to learn how the mind functions. Why do people go through certain experiences, why do they feel certain emotions and why do they act in certain ways. What are the differences and similarities. To discover the patterns of Human Behaviour. Thus, he became a person which actively tries to analyze persons around him and try to understand them at the deepest level. And of course he does the same analysis on himself, which helped him greatly in his self development. Spiritual Spoiler Mikael biggest passion could be considered Spirituality. Everything started as Religiousness. Then he tried to understand religion and he found a completely different and deeper layer: Spirituality. During his years of studying spirituality he found answers to questions he never though could be answered: What is the meaning of Life? Why do we Exist? What is our purpose? And many other philosophical rhetorical questions. In his spiritual beliefs, he believes that there is a Supreme God that created everything, but he also believes that humans are made in his image. That humans are just undeveloped gods. Thus, his spiritual goal is to become such a god. And this is what sparked the desire in Mikael to continuously self-improve himself and learn psychology. He believes in Reincarnation and that all Religions teach you the same thing. But although he is a "believer", he is in no way a fanatic or zealot. He keeps his faith to himself and only shares it if the others are interested. He has no desire to convert others. As such, this spirituality has granted him wisdom. Historian Spoiler Another passion of Mikael is history. He always loved fantasy fairy tales. And perhaps that is what drove him first to try and learn about medieval and ancient history. He is very interested in legends especially. But Spirituality also played a part, when he started to study religions and their history. As such, even in games, he loves learning about the lore and history of the game, even if it's fictional. You could say that Archaeology in games makes him happy, as there are the small things that bring you pleasure. Innocent/Childlike Spoiler Although Mikael is a very Mature person, he managed to retain the heart of a child. Whenever something that he is passionate about comes up, his eye sparkle and he becomes excited just like a child who got a new toy to play with. He loves playing around, as long as this does not harm or puts anyone in danger. He still remains a responsible mature person, but when the circumstances allow him, he can be quite the playful/excited child. And because he retain his child heart, he can sometimes have this innocent look on his face, just like a child. Honor Spoiler Mikael has a code of honor which he would never break, possibly even if it would mean his death. This Code, has been formed thanks to his Self-Development together with the knowledge he obtained from Spirituality. The main rules are as follow: 1. Do what you will, as long as it involves only you. If it involves others, you need their consent first. 2. Everyone has the right to be who they want, do what they want and live the way they want. But they are not free from the consequences of their actions. 3. Everyone is responsible only for themselves. It is not your responsibility to help or fix others. Do not help unless asked. 4. No one is superior or inferior. Even if someone is more evolved than others, there is no person who doesn't have the potential to be as good as you or better. 5. Be true to yourself and others. 6. Love both yourself and the others. 7. Where there is a will, there is a way. Everything is possible. Cautious Spoiler Mikael is a very cautious guy. He doesn't like to take any risks if possible and wants everything to go perfectly. That is why, he tend to make more preparations in advance than the normal person. He is always trying to think ahead and have a few contingency plans in case things don't work as planned. This can be also seen in gaming, as he is trying to find ways to cover all his weaknesses or as many as possible. Intelligent Spoiler Due to intense studying he has done, Mikael has developed quite the intellect. He is extremely good at analyzing information and patterns, process them and come up with plans and ideas. This intellect makes Mikael a good tactician and strategist. Always trying to analyze what is happening and determine the best course of actions. And of course this applies also to trying to understand complex information and data. Compassionate Spoiler During his Spiritual and Personal development, he learned a very interesting truth. Love is the essence of creation. Love is the only thing that is pure, doesn't harm you and that can be unlimited. As such, he found out that love is necessary for one's development. In due time, Mikael has learned to love everyone unconditionally, even himself. Although he doesn't love everyone equally, he does love everyone. This has made him a very compassionate person always wishing for everyone's happiness and wellbeing. This would often make Mikael help others without asking for anything in return, and without expecting anything out of it. Perseverant Spoiler Mikael is a very perseverant person. Usually when he starts something, he doesn't give up until he succeeds. This helped him greatly in developing himself and becoming a better person. He is patient and is willing to continue without giving up until he succeeds, no matter how unrealistic may seem. Empath Spoiler Mikael has been blessed with empathy. And thanks to him studying Spirituality, he was able to cultivate this gift. As an Empath, he is able to understand other people to a very deep level, being able to emulate their emotions and put himself in their shoes. Thus, this ability helped him gain deeper understanding of other people and himself, being of incredible help when he is studying psychology. Flaws Spoiler Preferential Spoiler It was observed that Mikael can sometimes offer preferential treatment. While he has control over his desires, that doesn't mean he doesn't have any. And as such, he can offer preferential treatment to other females. He does prefer the company of women over to the company of men and he tends to go easier on them. But this is just a small inclination and it will not stop Mikael for going against other girls, if needed. Just that he will go easier on them. And it would be much easier for a woman to influence him than it would be for a man to do the same. Glutton Spoiler Mikael loves food. He likes eating not only for the sustenance but also for the taste and experience. As such, he tends to eat a lot and he is not very keen on sharing his food with others. Stubborn Spoiler The other side of the coin with perseverance, there is stubbornness. Although Mikael gives up extremely hard, that can also become a flaw. If he is in the wrong, it will take a lot of effort for him to change his mind and stop. But that is mostly because he contemplated deeply unto the roots of the topic and it would require a massive amount of information to be able to cover that and change his mind. Information, time and effort which most people are not willing to put in. Thus Mikael is seen as a very stubborn person. Overthinking Spoiler On the other side of Cautiousness, there is Overthinking. Mikael tends to overthink a lot. He analyzes information and then reanalyzes and looks at it from different angles and tries to find all possible perceptions of the topic at hand. This can make Mikael sometimes overlook the simple solution to the problem and over-prepare for things at his own and possibly other people's expenses. Shy/Reserved Spoiler Mikael was a shy child and as an adult he is the reserved type. It is harder for him to initiate conversations, and usually doesn't open up to people imediately. He keeps most to himself, but in time, he tends to open up to people who he feels close to and this shyness disappears. Competitive Spoiler Mikael is a very competitive person. Whenever he is and whatever he does, he wants to be the best at it. In games he doesn't like losing and always wants to come on top. However, this sometimes can make him take some risks that are unlike him, or make decisions which are not really the best. But his competitiveness is not strong enough make him break his Code of Honor or do anything really devious. Dark-Side Spoiler The brightest stars cast the darkest shadows. This also applies to Mikael. No matter how bright and good he looks, he also has his dark side which is most of the time contained and kept under control. His dark side manifests when he experiences intense anger. One way in which he gets to that point of anger is when other people pay or suffer because of his own person and instead of him. It will be something that Mikael will never accept. When he reaches that point, a change in behavior has been observed. Mikael becomes a silent ice cold person. Ruthless and with cold determination, he will make sure to teach those who wronged him a lesson. He will stop holding back and go all out on the people in question without trying to give them any chance to reach. He will have no qualms about dirtying his hands either.
