Ryouhei completely missed his attack and was caught flat-footed. He tried to recover, but the bandit had the upper hand now and was planning to get in a hit. Ryouhei grit his teeth as he felt the daggers pierce through his clothing right into his skin. The pain seared through him like hot magma coursing through his veins. However, he felt another surge of energy similar to the last fight: he had gained another level! He felt even stronger than he was. He grinned and went for a clean stab to the bandit's face. Was he really getting used to the combat here, or was that merely an illusion let on by his previous success...? The ticked-off bandit was growing tired of this fight. Losing even more HP, he was getting enraged at the bandit that stood before him. Gathering all his might, he began a very rapid string of slashes and swipes in an attempt to land at least a single hit on the bandit. This hit only seemed to anger the bandit even more than he was, and he responded with a spin move, trying to hit Ryouhei with both of his knives once again. The bandit sliced through Ryo's armor with both of his sharp daggers, causing him to lose even more HP. Was this it...? Awakened from sleep only to be taken out by a single bandit? His sword became engulfed in a bright blue light as he began to shout as loud as he could. The bandit attempted to dash backwards, but he stepped on his own foot and fell hard to the ground. Ryouhei, still shouting, exclaimed, This... is... THE END!! He placed both hands on his hilt and aimed it downwards, ready to stab the bandit and finish this battle. The bandit tried to crawl away, but he was too slow for Ryouhei's sheer rage. His sword stabbed clean through the bandit's heart. He grimaced in pain and grabbed the blade with both hands, trying to escape his death. Ryo let go of the blade, leaving it stabbed into the bandit's chest. He looked at Ryouhei for mercy who looked down upon the bandit with no remorse. Ryo raised a leg and kicked his blade clean out of the bandit, causing him to melt into a shower of blue pixels. He had won, again. But not by much... Finally, another window popped up to show Ryouhei the rewards he earned for defeating the bandit. RESULT: +30 Col, Timeless Defender Timeless Defender...? A new weapon, eh? And it's a longsword, just my style. Ryouhei opened his menus and scrolled to the <> tab, equipping his new weapon. It was much shinier than his previous basic weapon, appearing to almost be made of chrome. It felt heavy in his hand and had a really good weight to it. After examining a sign at a fork in the road, Ryo continued down the path leading to Horunka Village where he could get some training in cooking. As he continued walking down the dirt road, he heard some growling coming from behind him. He turned to see two wolves looking for their next meal. Ryouhei laughed to himself and pulled out his sword. Aiming at the wolf on the left, he charged in shouting, Who's next?! Upon landing the hit, his blade began to shine with a bright light, confirming his critical hit. With a whimper, the wolf Ryo was fighting regained its footing and pounced, looking to take a bite out of him. The wolf managed to bite him and get back to the ground. Looking to finish off the injured creature, he went for a guillotine-type slash straight down into the monster's body. While spinning, he used his momentum to attempt a special spin attack, similar to something that you would see in Legend of Zelda games. Upon quick examination of the weapon's stats, he saw that it made it easier to hit enemies. Pleased with his new weapon, he suddenly became his usual, overconfident self. However, he had gained another level after that last hit and felt like he was able to take on more hits. He placed both hands on the hilt of his blade and raised it above his head. He then performed another "guillotine" move. Deciding that he needed a name for it, he quickly shouted, Shatter! Taste my justice! Divine... VERDICT!! The wolf was now visibly injured. Its injuries merely heightened its ferocity and it went straight for a bite to the neck, pouncing from the ground. The attack was so poorly executed that Ryouhei could take his sweet time preparing his next move. He readied his blade before beginning an intensely fast series of slashes and stabs to try and finish the wolf off. The wolf responded by pouncing into the air and trying to slash Ryouhei across the chest with both of its claws. Ryouhei readied his blade to try and block the wolf's attack. He shouted as loud as possible and went for a clean stab through the wolf's body, trying to end this fight. Looking like a fool, he needed some time to get ahold of himself. The wolf took no time in launching another offensive to reduce Ryo's HP to nothing. He realized how much damage he'd taken in this fight and quickly decided that he needed to end this fight.
