A thick layer of grey clouds hung over the Town of Beginnings, bringing with it a light, afternoon rain shower. Soft booms of thunder rumbled in the distance, never seeming to get closer or farther. The rain pattered against the neatly lined stone roadways, soaking rooftops, market stalls, and any thing - or person - unlucky enough to be outside for too long. A chilly, dreary day to most.. but there was no less beauty to it than if the sun's rays warmed the floor with its embrace. All bodies, both computer generated and player characters alike, wandered the streets, some in more of a rush to get out of the passing storm than others.

The small bell hanging outside, just above the doorway, chimed as the door opened outwards, colliding with the tiny instrument. Outwards, a young woman with a cascading waterfall of wavy teal hair tied into a ponytail and soft, crimson eyes emerged. Turning over her shoulder, she would offer a bright smile and a wave "Thank you so much!~" , she would shout to the shop keep within. Tucked within her arms was a brown paper bag, its opening neatly folded over multiple times.. with Adelyte was already fidgeting with to get to the contents within. Reaching a hand into the bag, she would retrieve a croissant roll; buttery, soft, and still warm. A soft breath of a sigh passed through her lips as she bit into the flaky pastry.

Divine.

Holding the roll in her mouth for a moment, she would roll the bag back up, and then use her free hand to summon her virtual pocket space where the bag vanished off to. As she removed the croissant from her mouth, a man would approach her. Older, friendly, and dignified looking. Whether it was the expensive suit, the monocle , or perfectly styled moustache .. she knew this man held some sort of importance. "You there! Stop, please!"
Oh no, was she in trouble? Maybe this was the owner of the general store where she rearranged the eggplants into the shape of... a bigger eggplant.

"I swear it wasn't me. It was him." she would say without missing a beat, pointing to a player across the way who looked back at her with the face of confusion.

"What?" the older gentleman replied.

"Hmm?"

Shaking his head, he continued "Never mind that, I am in need of some assistance, and you appear quite capable."

Ahh, a quest giver, she thought to herself as the man introduced himself and went on with his story. She had never met one of them before, suppose the quest-distribution system had finally chosen her.

"Aaacept" she spoke out loud as she tapped on the screen that popped up in front of her. "Hunt down Zachariah.. Don't worry Mr.Monopoly.. I'll be sure to get your money back." her lips curled into a confident smirk as she punched a balled fist into her open palm, trying her hardest to the muscles in her not so strong arms to look tough.

"W-What, no thats not what I-"

"Don't you worry." she interrupted with an extended index finger towards Dorian's face. "Adelyte is on the case."

Rain had always been among her least favourite, especially when it had reached the levels of the storms that currently swept through the Town of Beginnings. Normally, Nymoria would've found a place to lock herself into, the inn's room providing a measure of protection from the booming vibrations that would leave her shaking in response. Today, however, she'd been unlucky enough to be required to head out in the collection of various basic items - items that she knew weren't essential to her continued experience of the game, but no less important to her.

Me and Musei, that is. The weasel had found limited protection in the pocket on Nymoria's collared shirt, the his brown and white head staring out and completely soaked through. The dip of the breastplate that she wore made the pocket a comfortable place for Musei to sit, normally, except in the rain it ensured that the occupant of the nesting area was thoroughly soaked through. Maybe I should've bought that umbrella...but it was six hundred col! That's a purchase that I just can't justify... She thought nothing of the various shampoo like substances in the bag that she had continued to carry, it's leather exterior at least keeping the materials within protected from the downpour.

She'd been hopping from cover to cover, trying to minimize the amount of drenching that the pair of them received, and although she was only a few blocks away from her final destination, she found herself wondering if she was ever going to make it. I feel like I'm melting. In reality, Nymoria knew that the rainfall, although consistent, was no worse than other other drizzling storm that she had ever lived through, and yet it brought about an amount of misery that she had hoped to never feel again. She had no doubts that it was absolutely ruining her hair, likely making her appear unkempt and overall horrid. So long as I don't run into anyon-

As if a bad comedy sketch, she turned a corner and felt herself slam into something that moved. She slipped to the side, catching herself on the wall of the building she'd turned on, slowly regaining her balance before glancing up at what she had hit. The teal hair and casual form of the player before her made Nymoria's eyes widen in abject horror - afeared of what she had done more than the player themselves, and she responded in a natural manner for herself. Bowing low, she touched a hand to her head, pulling it out in a sharp chopping motion as she signed her apology, the words likely echoing in the other player's mind as the system translated for Nymoria. Sorry! I'm sorry! Sorry! My apologies!

Wulfrin did not expect to be pointed at by another player in the streets of the Town of Beginnings. Especially not on one of his routine trips down to the floor to fish, and see if any newbies were attempting to take their first steps into Aincrad. Today, in the gentle rain that had befallen the starting city of Sword Art Online, Dorian was actually present removing the need to travel to Tolbana until going to Zachariah's place. He was jest in his usual combat gear of a red long coat with armor plates on his shoulders and forearms, a longsword hanging off his belt on his left side. As the conversation with Dorian and the new player commenced, Wulfrin couldn't help but listen to the odd, and actually quite clever, names and responses of the player unable to shake his confused look.

"I take it your new?" Wulfrin asked as he approached the teal haired woman that had pointed to him just moments ago. "Names Wulfrin. I tend to make a habit out of serving as an escort for lower level players while they get their feet wet. If you want I cou-"

The conversation was cut short by the new player being ran into by another player attempting to dart through the rain. Wulfrin recognized the other player as Nymoria. Knowing her condition rather than speaking, he simply held up a hand and waved, before offering her a hand up from the wet cobblestones.

Dorian did not have anything else to say to the girl. Probably had too many important mayor things to attend to. No matter, she was given a place to go, a person to see, and a goal to accomplish. Shouldn't be too difficult.

The player she had blamed for her crimes moments before crossed the way and approached her, asking if she was new to this quest. "What makes you think I'm new?" she curiously asked, "I could be one of the top frontline fighters, for all you know." she added with a playful wink. She definitely looked the part, no denying that. "Hmm.. I suppose it couldn't hurt to have someone tag along, especially if you already know where to go. Alright, sure.. I'm-"

All in an instant, Adelyte had lost her footing as another body quickly rounded the corner of the bakery and collided with her. The slick, wet stone under her feet didn't do her many favors either. The worst part of it all was the croissant slipped from her fingertips. She swore that time itself slowed as the crescent roll tumbled through the air in front of her. Crimson eyes went wide, and a noise that sounded something like a straining walrus came out of her mouth. Her other hand shot forward, trying to pick up the slack where her left hand had failed loosing its grip on the pastry in the first case. And, catch! What a save! she thought to herself as she stood upright, a smile on her face.

"Hah, that was a close one, almost- " Ding ding, the bell of the bakery rung as the door she was now standing in front of swung open and bumped her. Plat. The croissant fell to the ground. "NOOO!" she screeched.

'Sorry about that.." the exiting player said, watching Adelyte as she nearly fell to her knees at the sight of the fallen delicacy. "You have made an enemy this day.." she said under her breath, eyes glaring at the back of the perpetrator's head through the shadow her bangs cast.

Bringing a hand upwards, she would open her inventories wearing a deep frown on her face. Moments later, another croissant - just as warm and soft - materialized into her hands. She noticed before taking a bite that the girl who had first bumped into her was still standing there, apologetically bowing and moving her hands. Seconds later, she heard a voice in her head, or at least knew what the girl wanted to say, without any real words being spoken. "Woah.. are you telepathic?" She stared at the girl for a moment, thinking the phrase "Can you hear me?" in her mind.

Voices reached her ears, and although she could tell that a number of people were talking, the words came in broken and incomprehensible. Nymoria found her eyes shifting between each of the players present, taking a few seconds before she recognised at least one of them. Her face flushed slightly again at the sight of Wulfrin, and she pulled her head down towards her chest, giving a subtle wave of hello as the embarrassment rushed through and out from her in a wave of heat on her face.

Her eyes had happened upon the visage of the teal haired girl, and Nymoria was just barely able to catch the question casually tossed her way. "W--h.. -r- y-u tel-pa--ic?"

From the strain on the woman's face following the question, Nymoria had an odd feeling that she was somehow trying to send thoughts flying between the two, as if actually believe that the shorter girl could read minds. A quick shake of her head, and her hands were moving once more, creating the voice in the others' heads as the system automatically projected the sign language into decipherable and understandable words. No. It's sign language...Cardinal apparently makes you...understand? I think understand. It takes the motions, the signs, and turns them into words that you can hear. In your mind.

Her explanation was likely not great, but it was the best she could offer in the instance. She turned suddenly to Wulfrin, her smile soft as she gave a slightly bow in welcome to him once more, her wave as subtle and subdued as it had been earlier. Hi, Wulfrin. It's good to see you again. Going fishing?

Not wanting to be rude, she had quickly turned back to the other player, her eyes darting between them so that she could focus on whomever began talking, not wanting to miss a single word. Apologies. My name is Nymoria. It is written with the symbols for "broken" and "flower". It is a pleasure to meet you.

"I can tell you are new because of your interaction with the Mayor of Tolbana," Wulfrin chuckled at the teal haired girl. "He only does that to players who are stepping out into the game for the first time. It's essentially the tutorial quest line. There's three parts, gathering, hunting, and looting."

Nymoira signed away at his greeting, her words just appearing in his head, compliments of Cardinal.

"That's exactly what I'm doing," Wulfrin replied as he made sure to speak clearly and make eye contact with Nymoira so she could read his lips. "It's a little hobby of mine to go fishing out here and serve as escort for new players who may not quite be ready to deal with combat. Sorry I wasn't there to help you out, I know how grueling the first quest can be."

"Now then," he addressed the teal haired girl. "I don't believe you've introduced yourself yet. Best we all get acquainted seeing as we could be at this for a bit."

"That was my second guess." her lips would spread out into a warm, friendly smile.

Turning her attention back towards the man in the red coat, she would nod her head. "Yeah, I've honestly never done much in terms of questing, or leveling.. or fighting anything really." her words accompanied a shrug of her shoulders. "I've probably spoken to Dorian sometime in the past.. however long its been.. but always just ignore him."

Pointing a thumb into the center of her chest, she would introduce herself, "I'm Adelyte, and its a pleasure to meet you both."

"So. What it sounds like to me, is that this chain quest might take a bit of time. Then if that's the case, I welcome your company. Both of you, if you'd like." Turning first her eyes, but then the rest of her body to directly face Nymoria, she directed the latter part of her sentence. The girl seemed in a rush, but if she was looking for something interesting to do, maybe she would join them.

"Onwards then!" she would shout, pointing forth towards their destination. She wasn't entirely sure where that was, but she had an idea. And the others, who have been there before.

Adelyte turned her gaze up towards the sky, watching as each raindrop got larger and larger before colliding with the earth - or her. She didn't mind the rain soaking her, it felt refreshing. Even if this wasn't her real body, it felt like real rain, looked and smelt like real rain.

"It's kind of you to hang around in the city, waiting for any newbies to take that quest so you could help them out. I'd love to do the same.. once I feel a bit more confident in my skills, that is."

She turned her face towards Nymoria, "You've taken this quest too?"

Like a lost, confused child her eyes moved back and forth between the two as each of them spoke. She'd caught most of the conversation - losing only the parts where she couldn't directly see each of their faces clearly. When the question of attending was directed towards her, she seemed to jerk with surprise, her eyes lightening up and her hands suddenly moving at an extreme pace as she gave her affirmation with excitement. Me? Really? I'd love to come! I've never been invited on a quest before! I usually-well I'd love to come, if you'd have me! It would truly be an honour, and I'll make sure not to disappoint you!

The follow up question about her own completion of the quest caught her off guard, however, and she gave a curt nod before remembering to explain a bit more. Her eyes focusing on Adelyte, she gave a collection of quick signs, less speedy than before, but still fast enough to carry the conversation quickly. I've completed it already, yes. I was on my own at the time. It wasn't a long quest, I would say. Not quick, not long. That said, it does go faster with other people with you. I don't know if we can help you out, but we can at least give you some guidance and maybe a bit of motivation. Like a silent cheering squad!

She flashed a grin towards Wulfrin suddenly, her expression a little bit mischievous as she suddenly threw towards him a collection of signs, none of which she attempted to hide from the teal haired woman, but all of which she knew would likely make little sense to her as well. How has The Master been? Have you Leashed in the Book Girl?

Keeping her eyes somewhat on Wulfrin, in order to be able to hear the answer, she pointed in the direction of Zackariah's shop, giving a collection of further signs to Adelyte as she explained the next steps of the quest. The mayor will want you to visit Zackariah's shop in order to attempt to retrieve payment. He won't have it, and he'll make you go collect materials. They're used for making stuff. Fetch and return quest. Not hard, but at least he's not the blacksmith. He was mean.

"Too be fair," Wulfrin said as he sent out the party invites to the group. "I'm mainly just there for someone to talk to. The system wont let me intervene in anyway, but it can't stop me form giving out advice. I can also keep the mobs that aren't part of your immediate task off of you, minimizing your chance of death. I do however know a pretty decent spot for getting the quest done. Once we get done with Zackariah I'll guide you there."

Wulfrin rummaged around in his extradimensional inventory before pulling out a small pink tin. When he opened the tin, the scent of fresh baked pretzels permeated the streets of the Town of Beginnings. Six small and perfectly baked pretzels stood in a row ready to be eaten. Wulfrin simply picked one out and handed it over to Adelyte with a smile before returning the tin to hits resting place.

"You can either eat that now or after you talk to Zackariah," Wulfrin instructed. "You'll want to get his gathering quest started pretty much as soon as you get it accepted. The pretzel will give you a small buff that will make the odds of finding the materials just a bit easier. You can thank the chef by visiting Fondante's Inferno on Floor 22."

minimizing your chance of death.  - Oh, wonderful. That didn't slightly make her regret trying her hand at stepping out of the town's safe boundaries at all.

"Well then.." she began, through a nervous chuckle "Maybe that's better than actually having to lend a hand, you know? My life is pretty important to me, so that is very welcome."

As Wulfrin seemed to shift his focus to his own menus, Adelyte turned her attention back over towards Nymoria, who was sharing information about the quest similar to what Wulfrin had told her. Alright, so at least neither of them were lying about what she had to do.. not that they had a reason to, but better to be careful. "Yes, cheer for me. Lend me your good vibes so I may find these... whatever I'll be looking for." She would laugh, "Words of encouragement straight to the noodle" she would point her two index fingers to the sides of her temple "The Cardinal system sure set up a handy way for you to communicate."

Wulfrin had retrieved from his digital bags a heart shaped pretzel, perfectly boiled and baked. Her eyes widened in wonder, "Oh my gosh. It's beautiful." Taking the pretzel into her hands, she smiled widely before taking a bite. A crisp to the outside, but a soft. warm interior. Not only was it delicious, but helpful! According to Wulfrin, it should make the gathering portion of this quest super easy. "You are very sweet, thank you."

Catching Nymoria's curious question towards Wulfin, Adelyte turned back and forth from the two who accompanied her. "Master? Leashes?? Wulfrin you naughty boy.. Don't worry, I don't kink shame but.."

“I feel like I should nip this in the bud,” Wulfrin said blushing slightly. “Nymoria is misrepresenting the situation. My sparkling future wife likes to read books. That being said she had the idea to commission a tether she could attach between us so she can follow behind me with her head buried in a book. It is 100% not a kink thing.” Wulfrin focused his attention to Nymoria. “Can you please stop describing me as a master? You can call Ciela Book Girl all you want. I just feel master gives the wrong impression.”

Having said his piece, Wulfrin decided it would be best to just move on. With a small wave he gestured for the others to follow.

”We’ve got to get to Zackariah’s place before you can start,” Wulfrin said as he started off towards Tolbana. “Enjoy his company while it lasts. The other two NPCs aren’t exactly the kindest.”

She waited until Wulfrin's attention had been slightly pulled away, before pulling down her eye a bit and sticking her tongue out at him in response to his request. Absentmindedly she flung a few signs into the air, not paying attention as to whether anyone was watching or not, the motions mimicking the attitude of someone agitated or grumbling, in a way. That was the point, Baka.

Her minor tantrum over, she instead turned to follow the duo, making her way along the paths through the town as they headed for the shop. She gave a strong nod of agreement as Wulfrin mentioned the other two NPCs - later individuals along the quest line itself - not being nice. Her hands flew in a flurry of responses at the commentary, in an attempt to concrete the point in. The blacksmith was very mean. He didn't even let me try and explain why I was there before sending me off to fight tiny boars. Which was easy, but...well, still! He didn't try and readlisten to me at all! He just pushed me out like I was some sort of problem!

She gave a soft huff of annoyance as her movements came to a stop. Her expression appeared annoyed, and her eyes somewhat distant, as if she were suddenly considering some memory that she'd forgotten. A few steps later, she gave a smaller collection of motions. As Wulfrin said though, we can help keep the other creatures away from you so you can search in peace, once we meet with the alchemist.

"Whatever you say"  Adeltye winked playfully to let him know she was only teasing him, making an 'ok' gesture by pinching her thumb and index finger together. She had to admit, the idea did seem pretty cool - let the holder of the leash do all of the hard work while the leashed follows along in their own world. Dare she say it was even a bit romantic? "You two have your fun with your leash adventures. Sorry, tether."

The two gave her a bit more detail about what's to come. After meeting with the Alchemist Zachariah and completing their little job, he would send players to another two NPCs who gave out quests - and apparently they were not very hospitable. "Damn, they're asking us to go run their errands and they won't even be nice back? Tch tch.."

She was already thinking how she could prank them. Justice to be served.

Up and down the rainy streets, cutting through a dry alleyway, and soon enough they were pushing their way through the alchemist's front door.

"Greetings, Zachariah! You can skip the quest spiel, I am here to fetch you some materials." She entered, walking towards the potioneer's table where Zachariah worked. Her arms extended out towards the side, oversized sleeves of her kimono top dripping wet. "O-oh, do be careful. You're getting water everywhere."  The old alchemist set down his flask and beaker, addressing the three players. "But yes, I could use someone to obtain more materials for me.. herbs, flowers, anything of use. I would go myself but, I am backed up on orders."

"That's what I'm here for! No worries Zach, I'll get those herbs for you."

"I'd prefer if you called me Zachar-"
"Lets go!" Adelyte was already turning towards the exit before the old man could finish.

Nymoria walked along beside the other two, angling herself just so that she could see both of their faces as they spoke to one another. It made walking a bit awkward, but it was a skill she had developed some time ago. She couldn't help but giggle at the woman's commentary, covering the lower half of her face with her hands in order to hide her amusement, if only slightly. She gave up any pretense of appearance, however, as the woman tsked the attitudes and behaviours of the NPCs themselves, her hands drifting down to her sides as she shook with the quiet laughter.

As the teal haired woman stepped inside, Nymoria turned with a slight smile towards Wulfrin, a small devilish look in her eyes. She tilted her head towards the shop's entrance, before moving her hands in a combination of signs. Her expression, one that was clearly an attempt to remain stock, barely holding back a fit of giggles, would've given at least some awareness to the joke behind the otherwise monotone voice that the other player may have heard in their head. She seems nice, doesn't she? Real funny one. Even knows how to properly rope in a conversation, yes?

Unable to resist it any further, she burst out laughing suddenly, her hands moving in a collection of signs that shook with both laughter and speed as she signed towards the man. Leash adventures! Leash. Adventures! She said leash adventures, right? Right? That's what she said? Did I readhear that right?

Wulfrin groaned as the group continued towards the city gate. It's fine. Wulfrin found himself pinching the bridge of his nose as he attempted to shake of the growing anger. She's just poking fun. There's no harm in it. Just let it ride. As they approached the gate, Wulfrin snapped back into his more jovial state as if nothing had happened. The one constant of this gate in particular was the NPC guard. Marv, he had hear the man be called by several players that he traveled with. the name became synonymous with the guard to the point Wulfrin made sure to call out to him every time he passed through the gates.

"Later Marv," Wulfrin raised a hand to wave at the NPC as he pushed forward to the front of the group. "Taking another player to brave the wilds." The guard offered little more than his trademarked idle animation of a yawn.

It didn't take long for the group to make their way to Wulfrin's favorite little fishing spot. From the mountain peaks above, a small river flowed providing a nice source of fresh water and fish for the denizens of floor one. There was a secluded glade. It wasn't near as expansive as the forest that housed the field boss, but it did serve its purpose as a shaded and peaceful spot to fish.

"Welcome to my little paradise," Wulfrin said as he materialized a small three legged wooden stool from his inventory. "Area is mostly safe. Outside of the occasional wolf or boar, nothing really comes out here except for me and the other player I bring. Plenty of herbs an flowers too. Should be plenty to bring back to Zachariah."

Wulfrin materialized his fishing rod and prepped his line for the fishing expedition. He fashioned a quick holder to keep the rod supported should he need to step away and cast the line into the slightly fast moving river before placing the rod in the makeshift base. Checking the time it was nearly lunch, so he materialized a small lunch box put together by Ciela. Anytime they went out be it together or separate, she made sure to pack some kind of meal. Today it was little more than a sandwich, a large step up from the stale bread Wulfrin used to eat from Horonka.

"If you see anything hostile let me know," Wulfrin said after he finished his bite. "No need to take risks. Everything that isn't part of your quest is likely to be scaled to me, so try not to let your guard down too much. Also maybe you could go a little nicer on Zachariah. He really is a nice guy and only wants to help. Try and save the abrasiveness for the two who deserve it."

As the group step foot back into the rainy streets of the Town of Beginnings, Wulfrin had taken the lead. Apparently he had his own special spot where they could set up, further away from any real danger, and close enough to a pond where he could get some fishing in. At least it wouldn't turn out to just be her trying to gather some materials while Wulfrin and Nymoria watched her closely like a baby learning how to walk. So it was a win win for all of them.

Adelyte offered a casual, two finger salute to Marv the guard, who Wulfrin addressed as they passed through the tall stone gates. "Keep up the good work, Marv."

Didn't seem like the guard paid her - let alone the three of them - any mind.

The father away from the city the group ventured, the more the rain began to let up. The gray clouds parting and letting a little bit of sun shine though. "At least now we won't get drenched while looking for materials."

The location Wulfrin had brough them to was peaceful. A small outcropping of trees provided some cover from the now ever-present sun's rays right beside a freshwater pond. Adelyte smiled as she crouched beside a flowing river that traversed down the mountain and into the larger outlet of water, gently dipping her fingertips within. It was cold, but refreshing.

"Rude? Me?" she questioned Wulfrin as she rose to her feet. She gathered her ponytail into her hands, gently brushing her fingers through the teal waves. "I wasn't trying to come off as rude. I was just excited, is all. Besides, I doubt he'll even remember the interaction we had once we finish the quest with him. I'll just be another face in the hundreds that take the quest every day."

The pathway leading out from the town was it's usual calmness meets calamity as NPC and player made their way about the day. Like the two beside her, she gave a soft movement of greeting the guard, signing towards him even as the other two waved and called out. Not that it would do her any good; unlike the other guard she'd met in Tolbana, this one seemed far less welcoming. Paying no heed to the passing players, the man continued upon it's designated patrol route, oblivious to the world around him. I think I like Terin better. At least he says hello, even if he's busy.

The ruckus within the shop had passed entirely beyond Nymoria's awareness, and as the duo she'd been travelling with began their individual activities, she found herself shocked to hear them discussing the rudeness of the teal haired woman's behaviour. Confused, only having caught part of the entire conversation, she found herself sliding up beside Wulfrin, her hands moving in a way that kept them somewhat out of sight of their new companion member. Were you really that insulted by her joke? I understand it may have been not nice, but calling her rude may be too much. I apologise if we upset you.

Her eyes carried a bit of sadness and despair as she signed towards the man, entirely believe that she had done something to upset him in truth. Settling beside him, watching his face for an answer, she began playing with the ground around her, her hands naturally searching for any sort of rocks within the ground that could be considered useful for her tinkering trade. From her pocket appeared the friendly face of Musei, the small weasel's brown and white facial features staring at Wulfrin with a befuddled expression, before it let out a coughing like sound.

"Nah it's cool," He said with a sigh. "I've had my fair share of bullies growing up, so I tend to try and stand up before it goes too far, be it for myself or others. I won't lie, sometimes it just ends up making the situation worse. Sorry if I came off a bit harsh to the both of you."

He prepared his line for a second round of casting. He saw no reason to linger on the subjects. He had said what was on his mind and to him that was enough. Was he maybe a bit harsh? Yeah, probably. If there was one thing he still needed to figure out, it was how to correctly express his dislike of situations without sounding like a complete ass. Truthfully he wasn't too mad at either situation. He could handle a bit of teasing here and there, but the joke was starting to leave a sour taste in his mouth. Solaris, his phoenix swooped down from the sky above and perched on his shoulder, receiving a baked fish shaped cookie, courtesy of his darling "Book Girl".

The coughing sound drew the duo's attention, Solaris and Wulfrin sharing a quick glance at each other in confusion, before Wulfrin turned his attention to Nymoria.

"I assume that's your familiar," He guessed making sure his lips were readable. "They're pretty cute and the two of you look like you would make a good team."

Wulfrin reeled in another catch, this time no additional loot sadly. He turned his attention to Adelyte to check her progress.

"Having any luck over there?" He asked as he started prepping for his next cast.

Adelyte hummed a prolonged "Hmm~" as she rose to her feet and looked around the glade. Zachariah said he needed flowers, herbs, and the like.. and usually plants like that were decently easy to come by. So why weren't they in abundance everywhere she looked. She puffed out her cheeks for a moment, before letting the air slowly let out like a balloon. This might take a bit..

"No luck yet." she called back to Wulfrin, "but I only just started."

Peeking over her shoulder, she saw that the two other players sat next to each other by the lake's shore. Another two accompanied them, a fiery phoenix and a small little weasel. "Woahhh" she exclaimed, "That is a super cool bird." She began walking over to their position, eyes locked on the bird.  "And your weasel is so cutee~ What are their names?" she asked as she rolled back and forth on her heels, obviously distracted from her hunt for materials. "I'd love to try and find an animal companion of my own soon.. But one quest at a time." It was with that she was brought back into the moment. Now, she pushed forth with a purpose; Finish this quest line and level up enough so she can try and tame her own familiar.

"How'd you know what type of familiar you wanted? Did you go out knowing you wanted to find a phoenix, or a weasel? Or was it just fate that you found each other?"

Confirmation, and deflection. Tactics that Nymoria knew better than she would like to admit to, but she also knew better than to comment on it. Instead, she let the flow of conversation shift towards that of their familiars. Her eyes shifting between the two as they began talking about the two familiars that she and Wulfrin had found. She smiled and nodded at the comments directed towards her and Musei, before tilting her head at the questions posed by Adelyte.

This little friend is named Musei (Voiceless). I named him because of the way that he can't speak properly. As if to confirm Nymoria's commentary, the small weasel gave a gasp that sounded like an attempted squeak, the noise broken and somewhat hard on the ears of those who could hear it. She carried on as soon as the weasel's noise had stopped, her movements made in direct correlation to the creature's mouth opening and closing. No, I did not have any idea what sort of familiar I was looking for when I started the quest. I was happily surprised to find Musei.

Her hands passed over another area of the grass as she glanced between the two other players, waiting for anyone else to speak before deciding to ask a question of her own. What have you two been doing since the...announcement?
