Truthfully, he'd kinda forgotten about them, especially with the whole mess on twenty-nine. Added to the time needed at The Knight Shift's forge, and the added commitment of keeping frontline armaments in working order, there wasn't much left to go around. But, a quiet moment had finally found him, and after a bit of research with Jeeves' assistance, they'd managed to decipher the clues and assemble the knots correctly. No sooner had they done so than a special portal opened. Summons were immediately issued and the crew called in to wipe the floor - assuming there was a floor - with whatever lay on the other side. As you place the Veena in her waiting grasp, her fingers grasp at it with familiarity. The space where her eyes should have been ignited, deep, golden flame burning through the darkness. Etched there now were striking, even beautiful features that did not exist moments before. “My Lord hath been expecting thou,” the voice came, though it lacked for all inflection and in fact, sounded androgynous. “He hath waited far too long.” Outline: To begin <<Ravana’s Reprise>> quest, players must assemble a Veena with the four different strings obtainable from the event quest <<Purusartha>>. This will take one player’s post action in the thread. This assembly may occur alongside the use of consumables. The strings will be consumed and removed from the player once this occurs. Next, players must locate the Crimson Fairgrounds, a secret location within Aincrad that exists in light of the Diwali celebrations, discoverable on any floor. The Crimson Fairgrounds will be found on an LD10+ with modifiers. Once the location has been found, the party may engage <<Demon King Ravana>> in combat. <<Demon King Ravana>> An ancient evil now unfettered and unchained, yet merely a glimpse of its former glory. Cocky, stern and unstable, Demon King Ravana wields a demonic fire and multiple blades, carried by multiple disembodied arms that sprout from his back. Unfortunately, the dancing demon-girls were making that challenging, and he was still concerned that they might turn on the party any instant. Also, as impressive as Ren and Jeeves' first strikes had been, readily hampering their opponent, they seemed to lack their usual punch. Less optimal than his usual direct approach, the archer had found himself wondering whether the straightforward appeal of his shift choice might need to be reconsidered. Something for future deliberation. For now, they had a demon king to lay low. Shot loosed, the arrow's black and red fletching found its mark, spreading the shattering effect of its imbued sword art to fracture Ravana's hidden defenses. Keening wails rising from the dancing girls nearly scared him out of his skin, convinced that he'd unintentionally triggered some second boss phase. Seizing on his partners' initial successes, he found the weak points painted for his attention and hammered them hard. Ravana's burning form crackled and hissed as the frostborne nature of his own weapon delivered contrast and pain all at once. Blow after blow, the demon gave ground, roused from his initial stagger, but unable to capitalize of his renewed awareness. "He's literally cracking. Hit him hard and we might have him." Every shatterpoint they inflicted seemed to call to the flames racing across Ravana's battered body, like they insidiously devastated some hidden defense the rest of them hadn't quite formally recognized yet. His balance teetering, one final step back proved his literal downfall as he tripped over Jeeves' low-tech improvised trap. Fire-ridden, Ravana tumbled ass over tea kettle, bringing down his own tent in the process. Flames leapt from his scorched and broken shell, screams of anger and frustration unleashing impotent fury that only spread the flame faster. Within seconds, the pavilion was gone and the demon king with it. The demon girls ceased their dancing, uncertain what more was expected of them, as if their programming had somehow neglected to consider this possibility. "Go home, girls. There was never anything for you here in the first place. Even less so now." One by one, they vanished in fluffy puffs of sulfur scented smoke and soot, the fairgrounds vanishing in a swirl of soot and screeching that left them all where this impromptu adventure had spontaneously started in the first place. *** Spoiler Post Action | ST-I (x15, 12 EN, +2 shift): 14 EN - (Stamina) = 12 EN.
