Vanta 0 Posted Thursday at 08:34 PM #1 Share Posted Thursday at 08:34 PM (edited) The portal flashed, welcoming another player to floor 22. She walked through, hands on her hips as she began to look around. With a small wave of her hand, the map appeared. Foot tapping, hand on chin, she glanced around once more. It had been weeks since she'd last seen him. She slumpoed slightly, a heavy sigh escaping. You tell me to stop by but dont give me any directions. her eyes closed, fingers pinching the bridge of her nose. Challenge accepted. She grinned. Vanta was never one to turn down any problem she faced. Instead, she strode towards it full speed ahead. She wandered for about an hour, until she came upon the shop. She smirked, That screams 'Wulfrin.' On the way to the shop a little npc girl offered her an apple. She took it thankfully and bit in. It was crisp and sweet. Plenty of time had passed since her encounter with Raidou, Wulfrin, and Astra. She had grown quite a bit since then. Though she still struggled to expand her horizons as far as players went, she had stopped jumping from village to village in fear of being known. There were floors to explore, dungeons to conquer, parties to be invited to, and loot to gain. She needed a weapon. A good one. Who better to ask than Wulfrin about where she should start. Her hand met the door handle, the door opened offering a routine ring, alerting the shop a customer had arrived. She stepped inside letting the door close. It was quite nice inside, she was impressed with what he had done with the place. She called out as she inspected a case, Anybody home?. Her voice resonated smoothly within the shop. Wulfrin 0 Posted Thursday at 09:15 PM #2 Share Posted Thursday at 09:15 PM In stark contrast to the tranquil vibe of Coral, the main settlement of Floor 22, Sentinel Armaments stands as a hub for player trade and item collection. Inside the bustling shop, a forge stands still burning hot as a hawk made of fire sleeps peacefully at the center. Around the forge several other stations stand, a jeweler's counter with various pieces of jewelry in a protective glass case, a wood burning brick pizza oven where someone is cooking up a massive buffet of new york style pizzas, an alchemy lab that looks like it was left mid project, and a humble spinner's wheel that currently remains unmoving. Several players shift around the various stations, none taking notice of the new entry. All except one. "Welcome to Sentinel Armaments," A jovial potbellied man called over from a brick oven off to the left of the entrance. "Be with ya in a moment!" The scents of freshly baked pizza and wings filled the air as the man slaved over the authentic New York style brick pizza oven. Shortly after retrieving the piping hot supreme pizza, the man made his way over to the new face entering the store. "Name's Brennar one of Wulfrin's business partners. The smith is out back working on his practice facility. He's bringing the game of golf to Aincrad, but if you need any gear or consumables, the rest of us are more than capable of getting you squared away." As Brennar finished up his small sales pitch, the back door swung open. In the doorway was Wulfrin dressing in a red polo shirt and dark grey shorts. In the relatively high fantasy setting of Aincrad, Wulfrin looked like an out sider, but he felt more at home than he had in a long time. Slowly he was bringing the real world to the floating castle. "Thank's Brennar," Wulfrin smiled as he made his way across the room. "Hey Vanta." Wulfrin greeted the fresh adventurer as Brennar took his leave. "I hope Brennar didn't give you too much trouble. He tends to get a little excited when new customers walk in. What can I do for ya? You looking to get yourself a brand new set of gear?" * * * Wulfrin | HP: 960/960 | EN: 140/140 | DMG: 23 | MIT:103 | ACC:4 | AA | PHASE | PARA-IM | BH:53 | REC: 8 | HLY: 16 | LD:5 Spoiler "Name: Wulfrin True Tier: 9 Level: 35 Paragon Level: 51 HP: 960/960 EN: 140/140 Stats: Damage: 23 Mitigation: 103 Accuracy: 4 Battle Healing: 53 Loot Die: 5 Stealth Rating: -5 AA PHASEPARA-IM REC: 8 HLY: 16 Equipped Gear: Weapon/Armor/Trinket: - Blade of Zariel | T4 Demonic Straight Sword | Holy 2 | Phase | AA Armor/Trinket: - Helldusk Armor | T4 Demonic HA | MIT 2 | REC 2 Shield/Armor/Trinket: - Echoes | T2 Perfect Trinket | ACC 3 | Para-Imm Combat Mastery: - Combat Mastery: Damage R3 Combat Shift: - TECH Shift Familiar Skill: - Rending Familiar Custom Skill: - Shades of the Gemini Skills: - Battle Healing R5 - Charge - Energist - Heavy Armor R5 - Searching R5 - Straight Sword R5 Extra Skills: - Forgotten King's Authority - Frozen Hide - Survival - Parry Inactive Extra Skills: - Disguise - Meditation - Brawler - Assault Mode Addons: - Ferocity - Iron Skin - Precision - Stamina Mods: - Impetus - Justified Riposte - Night Vision - Vengeful Riposte Inactive Mods: Battle Ready Inventory: - Bear Trap x5 - Crystal of Blood Dragon Hoard | Mass Healing x5 - Crystal of Divine Light x5 - Popcorn | T4 Vitality 2 x1 - Rhino's Horn x1 - TP Crystals x1 Housing Buffs: - Basic Kitchen: Increase the effectiveness of a single food item consumed in a thread by +1 T1 slot. Vanta 0 Posted 2 hours ago Author #3 Share Posted 2 hours ago (edited) She secretly marveled at the shop, it was the nicest one she'd ever seen. Be proud Wulfrin. The smell of the pizza, was mouth watering. There were so many things to look at, and plenty of people she could watch as she waited. They all worked intently. Minding their own, masterfully handling their trade within the shop. She could tell they'd been at it for a long time. They knew they're way around the shop well, not one person bumped into another, even when they loves around quickly in and out of stations to grab things they needed. Impressive doesn't even seem to be the right word. she smiled in approval. Her thoughts were thrown off by a rather guttural voice. She turned to face an eccentric potbellied man retrieving another pizza from the oven. Not only did it look amazing, the smell was captivating, her mouth watered. The man spoke, Name's Brennar one of Wulfrin's business partners. The smith is out back working on his practice facility. He's bringing the game of golf to Aincrad, but if you need any gear or consumables, the rest of us are more than capable of getting you squared away." Vanta began her reply, but not a moment passed before the back door swang open. Wulfrin emerged wearing a red polo and dark grey shorts. Not once had she seen a player wear normal clothing since this death game began. She had no idea that it was even possible. She chuckled to herself. Good old Wulfrin. I suppose he could have commissioed a tailor. she shrugged the thought off. It's been awhile Wulfrin, good to see you again. she put her hands in her pockets assuming a relaxed stance. Not at all, you've got yourself quite the shop and crew here. she noted praising him. On all serious notes, youv'e got it right. As you know I'm pretty new to how this is supposed to go. Got any suggestions for me? Edited 1 hour ago by Vanta
Wulfrin 0 Posted 50 minutes ago #4 Share Posted 50 minutes ago "Well since you're here," Wulfrin replied with a smile as he gestured for Vanta to follow. "You must be looking to get your first true kit. Come step into my office and we can talk specifics." Wulfrin led Vanta towards the back corner of his shop where a set of stairs ascended into a small office secluded from the bustling storefront below. At the center was a desk covered in a cluttering of various projects strewn about. Wulfrin had several projects all in various states of completion. Across from the desk were two chairs which Wulfrin gestured for Vanta to take a seat. Wulfrin took his own and shuffled through one of the drawers for some parchment and a quill. While it was a fantasy setting, Wulfrin tried his best to bring the real world in to make it a little less frightening. Two windows offered varying views. One was a limited view of the storefront below, the other was a far grander view. Near the lake, Floor 22's signature feature, a large scale development was underway. From the looks of it, a golf course was being put in. Currently the practice facility was nearing its final completion as different flags and stakes denoted various yardages. A separate practice green served as an adequate short game area not far from a practice sand trap. "First off," Wulfrin said as he started to scribble down some notes on a blank sheet of parchment. "Let's start with playstyle. I know we briefly touched on combat with those boars, but that is hardly a good representation. As far as Sword Art Online is concerned, there are roughly four different playstyles: DPS Which are the players that focus on raw damage output like myself, Tanks who specialize in taking hits and drawing aggro rather than dealing damage, Supports that specialize in buffing, healing, etc. and Scouts, minor damage capabilities but focus more on lockpicking, searching, etc. If you want a recommendation, I suggest starting with DPS. You can always refund your skills later by paying Col through your menus so nothing is set in stone."
