[Private Party-Floor 4] <<The Essence Of Steel>> (Raidou & Life)

Recommended Posts

L was back at floor 4 again, the blistering cold of it seemed to be a reoccurrence for him. It was probably the most visited floor out of the current 9. It was the very same place he had been lock away and the same place he had slain Avalanche and went for many material expeditions with his guild. He had his usual items on, the light sucking trench coat and the pitch black long thai machete which seemed to intimidate even the largest of abominable snowmen. "I hate this floor... " There was only one single reason he was here, and that was for the essence of steel. It was rumoured that the boss could be awoken by tapping on a skull of some sort with a bone. That boss would then drop a very valuable item which upgrades one item in rarity if you could defeat it in battle, and it was no cake walk from what he head. "I might have to do this again in the future.." He lowered his head and sighed, he didn't want be in this place but the rewards where worth the pain.

Kneeling on the edge of the frozen lake, Raidou's hand is cold as he tears away at the white snow underfoot on another herb run. Raidou's blazing red robe breaks the backdrop of white he stands on, as snow is shoveled behind him. Beginning to breathe heavy, Raidou comes up empty as he cuts along the circumference of the water thinking back on his many adventures on this floor "I hated that dragon!" shouted out like a crazy person. Wiping a bead of sweat from his brow, Raidou looks over his left shoulder toward the floors Village, a black figure beams out among the white. Raidou's attention turns back to the wetness underfoot, his intentions as clear as ever.

L sauntered along the pathway noticing a vibrant bright red colour off near the lake, it was a player who seemed to curse the very waters he was scanning through. He walked off towards him titling his head curiously "What are you looking for?" His face was slightly puzzled, it was the only expression given from his face. His eyes seemed to match the colour of the boys robes however lacking any vibrant nature, in fact if you where to look into them long enough you could almost share the memories of the bloodshed he witnessed all too long ago. He examined the area around him, he still wasn't sure what the boy was looking for and so he simply patiently waited behind him until he took notice. L normally had a lack of presence so he often caught people off by surprise

Raidou continued to dig along the waters edge in vain. From behind him words formed:

"What are you looking for?"

Raidou stopped and turned over his shoulder, looking at the black figure behind him. The figure seemed cold, having endured some hardships. Raidou was all too familiar with hardship, and knew it was better to leave it alone. "White Ivory, It's used in the production of teleport crystals and I need to make another." Raidou's search was coming up dry still "What are you here to do?". Raidou picked up a herb but its a mangled mess more, then likely a victim of resident moss swine. The clouds overhead began to close, and a screech is heard...

The boy looked over his shoulder and took notice of him. He seemed to be having trouble with whatever it was that he was doing. He had heard something about white ivory, it seemed to be a rare material used to craft those crystals he was talking about, if used correctly in battle it could save someones life. "I've heard about those.. i was thinking of keeping one with me for safe keeping but i don't think many people sell them" He started thinking about the kind of value it might have something that could save a persons life was always highly valued. His train of thought was interrupted by a screech, it was a sound like nothing he had heard before. "What in the world was that.."

Without a heartbeat in between, a hulking mass of white fur breaks from the pine treeline. Giving Raidou and Life a hard taste of a hefty earth shattering roar. With a scoop of its massive paw, it shovels a massive chunk at the party. Inbound, the chunk of ice continues harmlessly off course barely. It breaks and shatters as it smacks against the soft ground with huge impact.

Raidou springs to his feet with his cloak sliding open enough to free up his movement and draws his blade, preparing himself the inevitable next attack. "Stay behind me!, that things no slouch." Raidou shouts as he quickly swipes his hud open and pops a party invite to the player next to him. Drawing his blade up to shoulder level, he deepens his stance and bides till the beast makes another move.

L smirked, it seemed like his prayers where answered, a battle worthy for him. A true test of strength to kill his boredom. The boy threw himself in front of him and sent him a party invite. "Heh.. alright then. Let's do it" He ran up to the person and jumped over him using his shoulder as lift. He drew out his blade and cut up from the bottom left of the beasts body all the way to the top of the right side of its body. It let out a devastating howl in anger as his blade sunk in deeper from the tip, he kicked off the beasts body and dashed back by the side of the boy with a grin spread across his face. "This shouldn't be too difficult" He looked over to the players hud "Raidou eh... your a pretty high level"

The creature shrieks from the blow from Life's weapon. The players eardrums are assaulted by its vocal objection as it peels its claws from its massive appendage. Raidou is rend easily under the monsters claws, proving exactly how deadly the foe is. The beast smacks at its massive behind in joy in a seemingly taunting fashion as its whiskers sway in the tundra winds.

Raidou sees the monsters attack incoming, but is just a second to late. The claws collide with his weapon, and inject red lacerations onto the surface of his skin. The blood red marks sting of failure as Raidou is knocked onto a knee letting the damage soak in. Raidou looks at the monster using his sword to quickly regain his composure and redraw his weapon into ready position. Spitting out "Yeah thats the last free shot you get monster!" as he drags the weapon up his left gauntlet, sparks scream out in a burst of light as the blade is drawn like an arrow shooting its blade just from his right eye, pointing toward his aggressor.

L eye'd the fighter as he was stung by the beasts attack, he pushed through the pain but didn't seem to get any damage in. He wasn't all too sure about the mans fighting style but everyone to their own either way. As long as he tanked the beasts hits he was free to decimate the beast himself. He dashed out from the cover of the player and jumped forward tumbling under the beasts legs. The snow beast was too slow to react and he swung his blade hard under its legs slashing at its legs hamstrings carving deep past its hide thanks to the slashing nature of his sword. Such an attack normally paralysed his foes but this beast seemed to resist such effects and for the second time too "Tch, annoying thing. No matter, you will fall with our without it" If the beast wasn't annoyed with him before, it sure was now. He felt its rage seething and took it as a que to get back and well away from it, flipping over its head just as it turned back to face him taking cover once again behind the bright red player.

The monster squealed from the attack as Life tumbled under his abdomen. On its legs stood bright red gashes, making Life's damage apparent. The monster raised its front legs, Clutching its front fists together like a large hammer. The attack came down with ferocity, the player duo was about to take the full brunt of the monsters attack.

Raidou quickly takes a step into the monster, beginning a pivot. The monsters blow falls fast, but is met with the edge of Raidou's blade as he shouts out "«Mass Parry»" and his weapon glows blue. The monster is knocked on his side with the successful halt of the monsters blow, laying in the snow on the left of the successful parry.

L grunted the boy wasn't all that bad. He saw his opportunity to attack the beast, it was clearly distracted by the bright red man in front of him. He ran forward sword in hand and jumped off its knee, it tried to swing back but he grabbed onto its arm and used it as leverage to flip over it bringing his blade down across its back as he began to descend back to the ground. He ducked under its legs as it turned to counter attack but he was already gone once again by the side of the red player. "He's pretty slow" He smirked and glared at the beast "Aren't ya big guy?"

The Large beast moves in rage as Life gracefully navigates the beasts body, slipping up as Life leaves a large red gash on his back. The beast snaps around and misses Life before roaring loud. Snow drops from the tops of pines nearby as the monster quickly whips around and tosses a large ice chunk toward the pair, right at Raidou.

The large hulking ice boulder fired from the snow beast tears through the air. Raidou draws his blade up to his chest, but the ice cracks and Raidou is buffed hard with large shards of ice. Raidou falls to his knee's for a moment, before gritting his teeth and standing up again. Raidou shouts at the blows, not amused in the slightest at the monsters attacks.

L watched the boy as he got hit by the ice and smirked "That look like it hurt, glad it wasn't me" He had to be very careful, unlike the man he was no where near as strong as he wouldn't even be able to last 3 of his hits. Good thing he could shave a good amount of hp off the thing at least. Speaking of which he then got his head back into the fight. He circled carefully around the beasts body, at least it knew of his presence now. He was both sad and happy that the brawny monster saw him as a threat however the beast would still die today. He stutter stepped making the beast second guess his movements for a second and used it to duck under its field of view. He made a sprint for its side and by the time it realised he was next to him it was much too late, L jumped forward into the air slashing its lower abdomen up its rib cage and danced his was around it hoping back to safety. The beast was definitely not amused by his novelty carefree attacks.

The beasts attention had fully turned back to the red man. It was a mistake it would soon regret. L had already disappeared from the mans side and was sneaking up behind the beast and then without a sound he jumped onto its back. The beast tried to shake him off but to no effect, he had already sunk the edge of his blade into the beasts neck and brought it down the side of its shoulder kicking off it before it could even register what had happened. He scurried back and around it's body staying out of its sights once again taking cover behind the red man named Raidou.
