(OP-F2) Meeting new friends

Tristan nodded gravely. The boss would probably claim lives that day and the prospect of that was something he was not looking forward to. For now though it was not something to dwell over, as it was the exact reason they went on expeditions like these, to become stronger when it comes to facing the Hydra.

Tristan ensured he was still fine, which he was,

"So....where to now?"

"Well I'm not really going for that" he smiled. The boss was to much for him and he knew it. He really wanted to join even though he knew there was a big chance that he will die, but his guild leader said no. He didn't want her to carry it after the fight, think that he die because she didn't do enough to stop him.

She was pretty difficult guild leader, but in the end he found himself listen to her voice, he wasn't completely sure why.

 

"Well, I guess you don't need to kill it. there are enough players for that, you just need to survive."

Rue nodded. Many hav died before her. She was just hoping to survive. Luckily there was a support team who will replace a wounded person. Ethereal would probably get her potion and she would be fine. He probably wouldn't let her into until she had leveled a tremendous amount. She was pretty sure she was worried that he would not survive or her. She hoped no one would die.

"Well in any case, what do you want to do now?"

Tristan looked around, not finding any danger in the immediate area. Now he was here with the two of them, they may as well get on with that rather than dwell on the fight ahead.

Tristan sure looking for some action, he probably want to train hard before the boss fight. Of all the things that can be done in SAO Rowan always want to try sword fight face to face. But since the game start to become "deadly" he never had a chance to try it.

"By the way, I'm Rowan" he said to Rue "I know Tristan from the party, but I never catch your name". He hope he is said it right, English was never his strong side.

My name is Rue rue said politely to Rowan. She the found what Tristan wanted. Somewhere else to fight. She seen a dungeon just ahead. It was probably full of monsters to fight. Follow me she said cheerfully. She led them into the dungeon.

Tristan grinned, walking with Rue straight into the dungeon of possible danger and death with little to no regard of his own life. On the other hand, he would protect the others with all he could. He held tight to his spear and shield as he walked. "Let's go then. Who knows what there may be out there."

He began walking into the dungeon, which for what it was actually reasonably lit, so he could see where he was going. The atmosphere was still rather oppressing though, not that it bothered someone like him so much.

Rowan follow after their lead quietly, breathing the musty air of the dungeon. As he went through the entrance he looked apprehensively on the walls around. Rowan was never inside a dungeon before, all he knew that was a monsters that "are not quite the same" as the floor level inside. He did not fear for his life, he knew that his party members will protect him and he was very excited to fight alongside with them.

 

Besides, he can't die. Not really. He need to remind it to himself because he tend to forget about it lately..

Rue caught scent of a horrid smell and then she heard something move. She pulled out her knife and seen a light just pop up as a torch was lit. A green little devil with a torch was standing in front of her. She got ready to attack. Maybe this was the goblins dungeon.

Tristan gave a disgusted expression at the rather gloomy and horrid goblin, who looked to be some sort of scout. Well, he needn't waste any time on this. This goblin looked like it needed its miserable existence ending, even if it was purely virtual. "I swear the game designers attempt to make some enemies as horrible as possible..."

The spear shot out at the goblin, hitting a critical. The monster cried out in pain as the spear slashed their side, the torch light flailing about. Tristan put up his shield ready for the next attack from the foul beast, assuming it was not already dead if all three of them hit the goblin hard.

As they saw the goblin Rowan draw his sword, he want to be the first who strike that nasty beast. Before he was able to make a move he saw Tristan spearing the goblin mercilessly. Rowan reach the goblin and slash him before the torch hit the ground, the goblin try to rise his knife but he wasn't fast enough. Rowan sword cut through his shoulder, he turned with the blow while making a way for Rue to strike. The combat need to flow, no evasion user should hold his ground for long.

Rue moved with grace moving quickly to the goblin and thrust her blade into it. The blade started to glow with fierce sparks as she used a skill. The goblins life went down into the red.

Tristan attacked again, bit sadly this time missed the attack. Well, he couldn't always do it perfect. Tristan had his shield out ready to take any attack that came at them.

"We'll be done with this quickly." He remarked.

Rowan complete the rotation and try to strike to goblin again, but the goblin block his sword. The he blocked two more of his attacks and try to stub him with his knife, but Rowan's made his sword glow in Amber and use it to parry his attack in time. "Now Rue, this is your chance!"

Rue watched them both miss the goblin. She then heard Rowan say Now Rue this is your chance! She grasped her knife and quickly sprinted at the Goblin. She let out a scream of protest to losing then her blade began to glow. The blade seemed to work on its own sailing into the goblin. The goblin began to glowb and then it exploded. She sheathed her knife looking at the other two. That was fun she remarked. Lets keep moving!

Tristan followed Rue to wherever she walked further down this goblin dungeon. He wondered what the place had in store for them, now that the goblin was dealt with. He presumed there would be more goblins. But how many more? Was this dungeon even within their level? It could have been one of the hidden ones with high level enemies.

Tristan pushed his worries aside as he walked on.

Rowan follow Tristan and Rue to their next slaughter, that was...more easy than he thought. To think that he need his guild before, with them he reach further then ever alone. "That was really good" He agreed. They made a good team together, Tristan is tanking like a rock, Rue fast as the light. And he, he just lucky to stay alive.

Rue took the torch from the Torchlighter and used it to see ahead. Then after twenty yards she put her hand out to stop the other players in her party. Just down there were a few worker goblins with a overseer working them. She pulled out her k ice making a noise. They turned with their pickaxes and stared to charge.

As they charge, the Overseer drew his knife and try to stab him. But by doing it he create an opening for Rowan to strike, his sword cut ruthless through his hand and a red pixel points fly from it. The Overseer scream and tr to stab him again, this time Rowan parry his attack.

Rue seen a worker come at her with a pickaxe. She tried to move but the pickaxe caught her shoulder and red shards began to fly. Rue staggered then thanks to her pendant she hit the worker making it explode into millions of pieces.
