(PP-F9) Russian Roulette with life (Kiru and Tristan)

Recommended Posts

This was the floor that Arekkusu never thought he would make it to, yet there he was. He felt so proud to make it to the highest of levels in which only the strongest can actually get to. Now that he was there... what does he do? Seriously?

Are you serious? Arekkusu thought. This floor is a lot more dangerous than you and yet you decide to go here. Isn't that the most retarded thing you have ever done? Sadly no, but it is still pretty stupid.

Arekkusu held up his blade and shield, he didn't know where he was, it was a little too dark to see. It was the night, just what he needed. Arekkusu had no idea where the safe zone was located either... he was too far away to go to the 6th floor to his room... what now? recalling the game of Minecraft, Arekkusu decided to just simply fight his way through the night since he has no shelter. Little did he know that was even more retarded. Arekkusu was too tired, to be awake for another 8 hours is suicide for his health, and being on the 9th floor, he wouldn't make it 1 hour.

"You haven't really thought that one out did you Arekkusu." Arekkusu said to himself. "I'd go back if I could see where... so I guess I'll have to search for a safe zone."

With that, Arekkusu began to walk, until he sadly hit something front of him, causing him to fall down. Damn it! Arekkusu thought. At this rate I'll be left for dead, why did I think this was a good idea in the first place!?

What does one even do on this floor, there is practically nothing....absolutely nothing. This is pitiful, a lady with nothing to do...I thought and chuckled at my own description of myself. I could already hear myself making a remark about those last words also. It amazed me how I could think one way and speak another. I looked upwards into the night sky to see almost no stars outlining the sky, leaving almost no light to guide me through the ninth floor. I felt something bump into my back, then whatever it was fell. Instantly, I grabbed a dagger and threw it at the target. I knew it hit even though I could barely see a thing. Hello?

(OOC: Athletics +1Field Ration= Max Health= 27, sorry for not warning you)

Arekkusu the felt a knife-like item hit his arm. "Argh!" Arekkus exclaimed. He sadly felt blood come out, someone tried to attack him, now he had to fight back. Arekkusu put up his sword and looked in the direction the dagger came from.

Rolled a 5 on the d10 (battle) dice.

"Stay back!" Arekkusu exclaimed. Though it was dark, he took his chances and ran in the usual circle that he normally used to get around enemies, but then he stumbled onto the ground. It's too dark! Arekkusu thought. I guess I'll just have to surrender, I can't fight like this.

Arekkusu put his sword back into the sheathe and called out to dagger-thrower. "I'm not a threat to you." Arekkusu said, partially lying since he failed at attacking. "Nowhere near it, I'm not even supposed to be here."

I stifled a small laughed when he called out to me, claiming to be weak. Oh, is that so? Why don't you tell me where the town is so I can see you face under the light. It will be on me to determine whether or not you are harmless. I said and sheathed the dagger I was about to throw. It was too dark for me to see anything but I could tell he wasn't that high of a level. If he was a higher level than me I would be surprised, maybe even scared.

"You expect me... to show you... where the town is..." Arekkusu stated. "You know... that would be a lot more convincing if you didn't throw a dagger at me. You mean to tell me that you are used to the darkness... yet you can't find your way into a town... now tell me what is the problem with this picture."

Arekkusu felt the dagger wound still stinging. He made sure not to become too wise, which he could've been way worse, but he knew the results of stupid choices. He stood where he was at, leaving them both at silence while thoughts were running through both minds fast.

Want me to throw another?! I can aim for your head this time. Though he couldn't see, my face brightened with embarrassment. Who said I wasn't used to the darkness, it was luck you dummy. Or maybe I'm, just a really high level, who knows. Just point a helpless girl to the town. I said, growing tired of being interrogated for not knowing which way the town way. I pulled out another dagger and held it in between my finger, letting the small light there was reflect off of it.

Arekkusu sighed as he then slowly stood up. He no longer felt fear for this attacker, now he felt like one of those teachers who had to explain to the kid who would never get the message.

"How will I guide anyone anywhere if I don't even know the way?" Arekkusu said. "I could try but I'll get us lost even further into whatever this place is. I don't even know and I've been here for... 20 minutes. It's the nightime... what do you expect me to..."

Arekkusu was then cut off by a slice from something other than a dagger.

  • Rolled a 7 on the d10 (battle) dice. (ACC +1- 1 ACC= 7) (1+1+3=5)
  • Rolled a 2 on the d10 (mob) dice.

"What the hell!?" Arekkusu exclaimed. He stepped to the sided out of pure instinct, then sliced at the attacker with no hesitation, reacting completely on instinct. The blade felt something, but it was most certainly something not welcome.

Well, you could have said that before you criticized me for not knowing the way! I haven't been here for a long time either so just- I heard him start yelling at something. I sighed and threw the dagger randomly at whatever he was attempting to strike at. What in the world of Aincrad are you doing? I knew my weapon stuck in the unknown creature because I heard it sink in.

Arekkusu heard the impact of the dagger and felt satisfied and a little disgusted at the sound. He didn't know where is was though, so he resorted to one thing that he used whenever he needed to use light and attack an enemy easily.

"Charge!" Arekkusu exclaimed yelling out the skill he was ready to perform. The sword in his hand began glowing in blue light, acting as a torch. But he didn't even take the time to aim it at Sharpshot, he saw the enemy's body and ran at it with his sword ready to swing.

  • Rolled a 8 on the d10 (battle) dice. (1+1+3+3=8)
  • Rolled a 8 on the d10 (mob) dice.

Arekkusu felt a small cut as he did the attack, but it was nothing compared to what Arekkusu did to it... whatever it was. He couldn't see the enemy too well, that or he couldn't identify it. He did see the sharpshot though, she definitely was way too advanced to not know anything about this floor.

I watched the blue light dance across the black of the night for a second, it was actually kind of cool. I knew he hit it because the light flickered as if it was impaling something. I pulled another dagger and threw it were the light had been.

Disgusting....The blade of my dagger seared through whatever was attacking us, making an awful mushing sound. Now, what do you suggest we do? We are both stuck in this situation regardless if we want to be of not.

And fighting until the sun comes up is rather stupid, Arekkusu knew this. Eventually they will either lose all healing items, or they will collapse out of exhaustion. Arekkusu looked at his arm, he felt himself opened up a bit because of the dagger.

"Whether we like it or not, we won't get anywhere on our own." Arekkusu said stating the obvious. "This arm won't be good for much on its own, thanks by the way, but for now, we have to stick together while we can. But first, I can't travel with someone I don't even know the name of, my name is Arekkusu.

I knew that I wouldn't have a guaranteed win if we started a battle right now. Someone would probably die if we did that. I let out a long sigh of annoyance and tried to look at him face, but it was too dark to see him. Your welcome for that by the way. I sneered. I didn't even care if we had just battled a monster together, there was an off vibe about him; he was too trusting. My name is classified right now, and what to do you suggest we do about our current predicament?

I'm calling you Arek, Arekkusu is too hard. I said, shortening his name. It wasn't hard at all for me to say his name. I figured it would be annoying to him. Well, that's a good observation Sherlock. I would have never thought that we needed light to see, maybe you could write a bool about it. My sarcasm was obvious and since he couldn't see me I left my face relaxed. Then, an idea popped into my head. What about the glow from your sword? It lit up the dark a little so maybe me could use that?

"Well Dr Watson if you haven't seen it already, that was a sword skill that requires a target." Arekkusu said. "Before you might've been an enemy, but now you're an acquaintance. Therefore, if you want me to use it, I'd have to attack you with it. Wait... What about the knife you had when you threatened to hit me in the head? It shined a little bit right?"

I took out one of my daggers and did the same trick, making it look like it shone. It doesn't shine, that was the moon's reflection on top of it...I said and thought about what could be done. The dagger didn't produce enough light to see anything. I sighed, finding only one option left. Use that skill on me right now. I'll stand still and look around when you use it to see where the town is. If your scared that I'll get hurt then don't be. I'm a level...thirty five so I won't take much damage...

Arekkusu stood there a bit phased out. Was that seriously the last option to resort to? Arekkusu looked at his weapon, it seemed a bit dangerous. But it was under the request of Classified, so Arekkusu out it up.

"You're crazy." Arekkusu said. Don't hate me for this."

Arekkusu blade then began to glow with blue light once again after he cursored his target on Classified. Then he put his blade forward to see the face of the one who will be working with. She had a face way too serious, which he wasn't too surprised about. He hoped that she meant what she said. Then the sword urged him forward towards Classified.

Rolled a 9 on the d10 (battle) dice. (1+2+3+3+1=10)

Rolled a 6 on the d10 (mob) dice.

Arekkusu blade quickly went through its target and he then felt a bit satisfied, but for some reason he felt guilty too. His blade still had its light, while he has the curser locked, the light should continue to glow.

I inhaled a deep breath and closed my eyes, waiting for the impact of the blade. Suddenly I felt Arek's sword go through my stomach. I resisted the urge to double over. My reaction was a slight groan but nothing more, I couldn't look weak right now since I told him to hit me in the first place. I immediately looked around and saw the area lit up by the light of the blade. Around us were a few scattered pieces of debris and mostly no grass. Floor nine was notorious for being hot but at night it wasn't so annoying. I saw a large building's outline and pointed to it. Only when I moved my arm I felt something come from my mouth. I touched my free hand to it and knew it was blood. Geez..Y-you could have held back a bit.. Anyways, the nearest building is East. It looks unoccupied so we can start heading there now. I wiped the blood off my mouth but it still kept coming.

Arekkusu wondered if he hit her that hard or if she was bluffing. She didn't really have much of a reaction when he sliced, so he hoped that it was just mock. East huh? He hoped nothing would ambush them again. His blade was held again, but if they wanted light, that was too bad. Only one Charge per target and that target can't be aimed at again with it.

"Too rough with the attack?" Arekkusu asked. "I have a crystal if you were cut that badly, exactly ten points of health, which should be way more than the damage I gave to you."

Of course not, you barely cut into my health. You'll need a better attack to take me down. Besides I'm used to it I guess..I lied through my teeth and clutched my stomach. I couldn't tell if I was bleeding or not but it still hurt regardless. How does one even get enough power to attack like that? I haven't been hit this hard in a long time...I thought to myself who he reminded me of. With a growing suspicion I began to walk in the general direction of the building. From what I saw it was a two leveled concrete structure with a blown out hole in the wall. Just keep an eye out for anything- I coughed a little, then continued in hopes that he wouldn't think I couldn't handle a hit like that. Watch for anything...
