She walked up the steps and opened the door, holding it open for Sousuke. It was like traveling back in time, going through the doorway. There was a cool bear rug on the floor, head and all, and a beatiful stone fireplace. There were rustic wooden chairs and beautiful tables made of wood planks. Pumpkin pie, corn on the cob, and a giant peice of french bread with butter..." She looked up as she heard him speak. "Definately the french bread. He didn't really know what to eat so he decided to have a bit of everything he could manage. The moment she said she was paying though he looked up shaking his head. ''I don't think so ill pay its my treat sweetheart, after all its the mans job to pay on a date.'' he said, he was so engrossed in what food he was putting on his plate he didn't realise what he just said. She said, not wanting to have to get in an awkward converstaion about money and who should pay. Shebdid catch his use of the word date though. "Are you asking me out?" She felt a warm sensation in her stomach. When he finished she walked over to him and hugged him. "Of course. It took you long enough. I was almost to the point of asking you." She said quietly. He stood there stiff as a board for a few moments and then returned her hug smiling, his heart beating like a drum. He was happy to have met Manta and was willing to do anything for her even though they had only known each other for a short time he felt like he had known her much much longer. She decided that he must have been completely oblivious. "Well. Lets get to work on this food." She picked up her plat and went over to one of the smaller two person tables. Surprisingly there was no one else in the restaraunt and they were entiely alone except for the banging of pots and pans that could barely be heard from the kitchen. ''I could tell you were hinting but because I've been messed about with before I wasn't 100% sure I should risk it, but in the end I decided no one gets anywhere without taking a risk right?'' he said as he joined Manta at the table. She reached out and grasped a peice of her corn before starting to eat it almost daintily. It was very good. It had thenperfect amount of butter and salt. His eyes widened in surprise at how good it tasted, how could food inside a game taste so good. ''Hey your right I wonder how this works?'' he asked. He cut a piece of steak up and popped a chunk in his mouth tasting the juices and the meat in his mouth. The bread had been pretty bland and would definately explain why he was having such a positive reaction to the food. It was pretty good... She set her corn down and started to eat the pumpkin pie. It had the perfect amount of sugar and spice and pumpkin. "So tell me about you." She thought that if they were going to date they should probably get to know each others pasts better. ''Well I was recruited into a secret military operation at the age of 12 and sent into a warzone by time I was 13. I was known as the Specialist out there since I was basically the one who was sent to do things others couldn't. I got sent to kill some one once which is how I go this.'' He said motioning to his scar as he took another bite of his steak and swallowed. ''Im not proud of what I did but it was my job I got kicked out of the organisation when I rescued some hostages and a friend of mine when I was ordered to observe and wait for back up. To start off I've got to explain my name. I was born 16 years ago. My parents were very exited to be having a baby. They hadn't even considered the fact that I might be a girl. They had even filled out the forms already, choosing the name Monty for me. When I was born they were horrified that I was a girl, and basically ignored me, not bothering to change the name. I only see them every once in a while, but they ignore me as much as they can. I spent a lot of my childhood just reading and staring into space until I got a Nerve Gear and started to play VRMMOs. It was the only way I could meet people. Im my parents dark secret... They basically keep me under house arrest." She grimaced and ate some more pie, trying not to think about her past. He took her ands and looked her straight in the eyes. ''For what its worth im glad they decided to keep you a secret, if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have been able to meet you.'' he said offering her a genuine smile. He had never had any experience with that sort of thing himself and couldn't really think of a good way to help other than Support Manta here in their new lives. ''Well luck or not it was a good choice.'' he said to her. Her modesty is something Sousuke enjoyed about Manta. He had had enough of all the silly pig headed people running around claiming they were god, Manta on the other hand was the opposite in a sense but atleast took credit where it was due.
