After she finished for the day the sun was still up, judging by its position it was about 3 or 4 P.M. Opening her status window she finds out that is exactly 3:44 PM. She closes the window and starts preparing to close the shop for the day. She wanted to do some more training and thought about where to go. "I think today imma go get me some wolf fur for the boots. Yeah, even though its not as resistant as the Dire Wolf's fur located at the 4th floor its still pretty good. Link to post Share on other sites

Most likely she was going to be alone there. Once she reached the place after 30 minutes of walking, she sees a lone wolf. "Excellent" she thought as she unsheathed her rapier and started running towards the wolf. First strike was a success hit as the wolf was caught off guard by her attack. But the wolf gathered leaped from its spot and opened his jaws baring its fangs at her. Its target was her neck. Ariel then skillfully evaded his bite and re adjust her aim, striking the beasts stomach. Ariel - The Crowned Lion 0 Posted January 17, 2015 Author #24 Report Share Posted January 17, 2015 After picking up the item and storing it in her inventory Ariel was hit from behind with a terrible impact. as She turned back she found that another wolf was ferociously growling at her, baring its fangs. She tried to attack it but the wolf took a few steps back. She then stood up and with her left hand tried to remove the hair that was stuck to her face, being blown forwards by the sudden impact earlier. "Okay, come here boy. Then she was in striking distance she saw that it charged towards her and feinted. Striking the wolf near the right rear leg. The wolf then tumbled into the ground and quickly regained its footing. This guys are a lot more fun to fight than the boars she fought last night. "Come here boy, you want payback don't you? Well here I am come get me you ugly puppy!" the wolf started charging towards her and appeared to be taking a straightforward charge, Ariel was ready to evade him when this time the wolf made a feint, changing its direction in the last moment. Its eyes appeared determined to give its all in this last attack. She respected that and took a defensive stance awaiting for it to attack. It started sprinting at her with even more speed from before as if the attack to the leg it received earlier had never happened. She said a small "good boy" in her head and aimed at its head. Her aim was true and before it reached her she dodged to the right while thrusting quickly her blade and retracting it as the wolf went forward, rolling in the grass. She walked to it and wanted to pat it on its head. But it disappeared into polygons before she could do that, leaving behind the same item as his friend earlier and some col. She gathered 2 items already and started picturing how the boots would look like and calculated that she still needed some more furs before returning. "I think 2 more would suffice, if a have more than half HP after I get them I'll continue hunting a few more." But as she nodded to herself, she heard a low growl behind her. She took a defensive position and as the wolf leaped aiming to bite her right shoulder. She then skillfully took a step to the right,with her left foot. The beast sprung back on its feet, like a spring and evaded her blow. it started baring its fangs at her while letting out a low growl. It was clearly pissed about being tossed to the ground without even touching her. Ariel decided to attack it head on and started running towards it. They were in a collision course towards each other. Kayla released a battle cry as she thrusted the rapier towards the wolfs back. This time the wolf didn't jump at her but aimed at her right leg, while making a feint before she could hit it. But Kayla anticipated the faint this time, learning from the experience with the previous wolf, and perform a double thrust. The first one missed, only brushing the wolfs fur, as the second one hit it right in the center of the back. After she struck it, she moved her right foot, dodging the wolf that was know sliding past her. Then it stopped the wolf let out a breath of air before vanishing into polygons. She she approached it trying to keep out of its line of sight. But when she was a meter behind it, she was sensed as the wolf turned around and bared its fangs. She then thrusted her sword towards it, but to her surprise the wolf leaped with its claws at leg legs. She put more force into the thrust hitting it in its back, just below the neck...but the wolf already dug its claws into her left tight. Once the blade pierced the wolfs head, it let go of her and collapsed on the ground shattering into polygons like all the others. Then a quick surge of pain assaulted Ariel's leg, as a result of the fading adrenaline rush. She sat down while collecting the loot. The pain began to fade and there was no blood, just a light pink bruise. "This game is pretty convenient, I give you that." But she didn't have the luxury to better test that since she fell on the ground on her belly. Another wolf suddenly jumped her from behind, and was now scratching her back with its claws. She again swinged her black bladed rapier and struck the wolf, by pure luck, in the belly this time. The wolf growled before letting out its last breath of air. Ariel felt the weight of the wolf at her back after she hit him, and then the weight just disappeared . She looked around while lifting her torso, she was surrounded by the wolf's disappearing animation. She then noticed behind her the loot it left. No wolfs nearby that might have been friends with the one she just killed. She finally got a lucky break so she took the opportunity and had a light lunch, eating some of the bread she had. After she finished eating she felt better so with hype she started dashing in a random direction, keeping her eyes on any nearby prey. She didn't have to look for long as a wolf's gaze meet her eyes. she unsheathed her rapier while still running and leaped at the wolf. the wolf did as well and managed to scratch Ariel with its claws after being hit by her rapier in the stomach. She put one knee down on the ground for a instant, the pain was almost unbearable. She tried to hit the wolf's head with her elbow but it let go before she could land the hit. She put her left hand at the wound and felt no blood. Surprisingly the clothes weren't torn apart. She then regained her footing not removing her eyes from the wolf for even a second. She made a shaky defensive stance, but could not move away from its path. It leaved at her and knocked her down on her back and by a strike of good luck, Ariel's black rapier somehow ended piercing through its belly. Ariel's body felt heavy for a moment then it got lighter as millions of polygons suddenly appeared there the wolf was standing. It dropped the same stuff as always but Ariel Quickly stood on her feet and looked around. No mob in sight, she let out a huge sigh in relief. All she could see was a vast plain with only grass, all around her. Good thing no more mobs spawned of she would be in great danger with less than 30% hp. She then opened her inventory with a few hand gestures and searched. She didn't have any HP potions..only some bread and water."Well all this fighting made me a little hungry, I think a snack wouldn't hurt, until I get to the city and have a proper meal." she then looked at the sky. It had a orange tinge to it, she checked her the time in her HUD, 18:30 ..almost time for her usual snack before dinner, her stomach growld as reading her thoughts. She started to eat a piece of bread, the taste was awful, but at least it will stop her stomach from complaining. Link to post Share on other sites
Ariel - The Crowned Lion 0 Posted January 19, 2015 Author #40 Report Share Posted January 19, 2015 After finishing the piece of bread she took a vial of water from the inventory and drank it in one gulp. She then took a look around, still no mobs in sight... good. She slowly started to walk towards the city, it was starting to get darker and she didn't wan't to repeat her previous experience with the midnight boars. Those pesky things seem to get more agile in the night, or was she just tired that time? It didn't matter anyway, now her main concern is to get to town safely and restore her HP to max while having a hot meal. She started mentally counting the spoils she made these past days: with the boars she got 4 materials , 75 col and 1 item, not bad but next time she promised to do better. Today she gained 6 materials and 200 col, a pretty good day indeed Link to post Share on other sites
