"Rich prick? Oh... How you amuse me X. No my mast- You know what. Arguing with you is pointless because your comebacks are quite childish. I apologize for even speaking or encountering you."

 

Piers bowed in apology.

 

"Just remember: You're only powerful because of your level. Don't let that get to your head. Just advice, honest, I'm not insulting you this time."

 

He nodded at X to prove he would no longer "tease" the boy, well, not for a while at least.

 

"This is why I wanted to attack something more basic while you two worked on something more fit for your own level. Hmm... How about that one?" 

 

The butler pushed X away and unsheathed his sword while walking towards his target. A smaller boar than Ariel's. Perfect.

 

"I can assure you that I'm not slacking from my duties. Please do not speak of the topic it makes me rather depressed. I'm searching for him and want to be a strong player able to protect my master when he's found. Hopefully the brat is still alive, I do miss him dearly." 

 

Piers twirled the sword skillfully in his arm before holding out the sword straight. He swiped the weapon in two fluid motions in the air before attacking.

 

Boar (Target) = 2 HP

Piers = 5 HP

 

He missed, unfortunately, and the boar managed to find a weak spot. A red mark lit up brightly on his shoulder after the boar jumped at him. It managed to knock him down a peg, Piers lost a health point. He smirked and licked his lips again, doing a front-flip to make some space between him and the enemy before turning to look his opponent in the eyes. The butler rubbed a few fingers on the sword, but on the top, not the sharp edges. His eyes flickered to a deep crimson as soon as he blinked.

 

"It seems my skills are a bit rusty. That won't do, I'll have to fix this problem."

[Ariel - The Crowned Lion 0]

Ignoring what happened behind her Ariel focused on the boar, it was as she thought too easy. With only just one hit she depleted 1/2 of the boss's hp, and as the boar turned around Ariel carefully chose the next place to strike, well the forehead was again the logical choice since she missed the first time. Not waiting for it to start the attack Ariel charged at it with full speed. She seemed to head towards a front collision attack with the boar, when it was in striking range Ariel thrusted and quickly retracted her rapier her rapier in one fast(god-like some say) move, jumping high in the air making an aerial pirouette above the boar and landing gracefully behind it. The boar then went with its face in the ground and rolled over a couple of times before exploding into millions of polygons.

 

Ariel made a bow towards the two and went to pick up the loot, she then joined X while watching at Piers fight."See you're not the only one who can do tricks." With a serious voice she continued: "So what do you think of him? does he have SAO material?"

I don't understand this pervy butlers pretentious way of speaking. It just kept on making me angry and pissed. He honestly thinks he's better than me no matter how many times he tells me I am stronger due to my level he still acts as if he could easily kill me and I should fear him.

"I wish you would kill me if I was in your shoes! I don't know how you love being such a pompous ass!" I yelled at the player.

The player then ran at the boar and I just let him go. It seems the boar would now do my dirty work for me. Ariel backed off and came to me to ask about what I thought about him.

"SAO is a multiplayer game... sure there are solo players but eventually your gonna have to talk and connect with people... The way I see it if I don't kill him someone else will." I replied to ariel staying back away from the mob.

The boar didn't even hesitate to attack the butler. Piers rolled to the side and quickly got back up onto his feet, wiping off his suit afterwards. He flipped his hair to the side before messily attacking the enemy.

He ignored the hurtful comment from X and continued fighting anyway. It really did feel good to stretch his limbs and encounter a foe, just like he did while working. Oh how he wished Nyle were here to back him up. Fight by his side. Well he'd just have to wait and see how the cards folded. Damn. Both teens were really getting to him. One lashing out even when he attempted being nice, the other missing and had yet to be found.

Another miss. Piers sighed and readied his sword once more for attack. "I told you I was just being honest that time. It's hard to work with you if you're always... yelling at me. Please try and cooperate with me as I'm attempting to speak to you without causing a quarrel. Words do hurt after all. I don't try to be an ass, and I certainly don't love it."

 

Piers spoke loudly to X so the boy would hear but he wouldn't have to turn from the boar.

"Stop distracting him X, let's see him prove what he's made of." said Ariel to X before turning to Piers and starting cheering for him: "Ignore this guy for now, you focus on that thing over there..Gambatte!!!" She then lowered her tone so that only X could hear her: "I remember my first time fighting a boar, First strike was a complete miss followed by the thing slamming into me and sending me flying a few meters, then rolling on the ground. Guess I've improved a little since that time. How about you X do you remember your first fight in SAO? Also give the guy some slack, from what I know english butlers are very devoted to their masters. Most of them stand by their master's side since very young or they even were raised in the same house, and groomed to become the person's butler. It's a pretty old fashion system but shows great results, most of the butlers stand by their masters side until death. I know this guy might lack in people skills but try to see it from his point of view." She then started cheering for Piers some more: "Hang in there!!!"

"I'm not the only one whose gonna be angry at his joke of a personality. Think of the short tempered PKers, if he were to meet one and open his mouth for more than 6 seconds... He's writing his own name in shinigami's book." I said to ariel who seemed to back pervy butler.

Pervy butler aperently had a real hard on for his master or whatever. Being loyal to one person... I understood this but never followed it. All those dumb gangbangers listening to whoever was above them pissed me off. I didn't even really need to cheat and rob them that was just my idea of a practical joke. Granted one cost them almost 10k in loss of product but still I had a good laugh. This pervy butler managed to piss me off even more.

"I don't care about whoever basically bought this dudes soul... If anything it's basically slavery however being raised in a masters house just makes them "belive" there actually part of the family... But me and you both know there almost like property." I said as maruchan moved around a bit in his sleep.

Piers waited for the boar to attack once again, and it did, taking only a few moments after noticing Piers hadn't back away yet. The monster rushed towards Piers head-first. In one motion the butler stepped on the boar and launched himself into the air. While the boar watched astonished Piers brought out his sword and swung it when he found himself upside down mid-air. It missed by a few inches. Piers landed on the ground in a crouch. He was beginning to become angry... and perhaps a bit embarrassed as well. Never before had his losing streak been so awful. Hopefully the others didn't mind watching for a while longer.

 

"I do apologize for wasting your time. This really is beginning bothering me, but I won't quit."

She listen carefully to X's reasoning and couldn't help but give him a little credit."It's true what you say, but I don't think he'll meet any PKer soon. At least not if he stick to these lower floors. From what i've heard the front liners are already searching the 10th floor for the boss room, so he'll be just fine for now. I'm more concern about his ability to fight. If he misses one more time we'll have to step in and help him but for now lets observe him some more" Her familiar started roaring as well, as in cheering for Piers. Ariel looked at her and smiled then she started cheering as well: "Go Piers, get him!!! Don't worry about us."

Piers huffed in an annoyed fashion before adjusting his glasses. The butler dashed towards the boar, rather unsuspecting this time, and swung his sword to slice it in half. The boar seemed to pause while a red mark flashed for a few moments. It didn't disappear. This time the boar split and both pieces turned into a million tiny blue crystal pieces. The butler swung his sword before shoving it back in the holster, that was enough for today. He bowed for a cheering Ariel and Kimba.

 

"That's enough for me today. I realize now what a pain this system is going to be in the future."

 

He rolled his emerald eyes and frowned. Piers winked in Ariel's direction.

 

"Thank you for the encouragement, Ms. 'warrior princess'. I'll be on my way now, but if you ever want to meet up in the future, I'd be glad to have someone like you to escort me."

 

Piers turned his back on the two players and started off towards the town he'd originally been in. He'd do the same thing again tomorrow, definitely not today.

Once Piers finished the mob Ariel clapped her hands a couple of times and said: "Congrats you killed your first mob in SAO!!! I guess that's all the basic stuff I can help you with for now." She ignored his wink, but Kimba started growling at him. "it's ok girl, let him be..this time." then she addressed the butler:

"Oh and in the future please lose the warrior princess, I neither have blue blood or the desire to be called that way. Ariel or Miss D'Sole it's fine with me. And sure give me a PM when you need something, I'll try to help as I could. Also I could teach you the basis in swordsmanship if you're interested, as I am a professional fencer IRL. I made the same offer to this guy." she points towards X "But he's not interested..Anyway see you around." Then she went towards the teleportation gate with her familiar, they still had a little work at the shop for today.
