He'd been warned that the proprieteress might not be in, and he was already planning how to best get back to the safe zone and back to familiar grounds if they weren't. Thankfully the tent was very close to the safe zone, so unless something happened within a step or two, he'd be able to make it back safely. The perpetual night of the floor had felt odd at first to him, but after a few minutes of time it had actually grown kind of pleasant. Out in the real world he'd long been a night owl, and the darkness of the level hadn't really bothered him that much after adjusting to it. Even so, the faint light coming from inside of the tent flap had been inviting, and he pushed in, hoping that that meant that the owner was in. The inside of the tent felt almost homey. Shelf strewn with bottles, a locked display case holding crystals, and the smell of baked goods filling the air. Cushions and rugs strewn about made it almost feel like you could just lay down in here and forget your worries - maybe if you had a death wish, or were strong enough to ignore the dangers of this floor. Rey decidedly wasn't, but man, those blankets looked comfy. His eyes swept across the counter that was set up, to see a woman who looked roughly his own age, with orange hair - and an orange name. He swallowed, once, roughly, then shook his head. This wasn't some blood filled, chain and hook-strewn murder den. If it was a trap, it was some kind of long-con one that was exceedingly unnecessary. He took a breath and squared his shoulders as he approached the woman. "Mo- well, that's kinda pointless greeting here, Might be the start of my day but I doubt it is for you. Uh..." He scratched his cheek. "Do you have much that might be useful for a tier one? I got a suggestion to come here. And whatever you've made recently smells fantastic. Oh - name's Reytac." She had been up all night crafting, and baking - in an effort to completely stock her store. Not that anyone had ever came here, more so for if she or Lancaster needed it. Dreary eyes of crystalline blue starred up at the figure from beneath long lashes. "Eh?" She actually...had a customer? Mari rubbed her eyes as she sat up straight, then pulled a small flask out of her inventory, taking a heavy drink from it. Hair of the dog, and all that. "Fucking..." she mumbled, someone who wanted Tier 1 shit? That was unusual. Mari waved him off then pointed to the shelves. "Anything labeled T1 or Tierless. Prices...uh...." she sighed as she ran a hand through her hair, she hadn't gotten that far. "I don't know, materials. Yeh. Whatever. I don't care." She said as she crossed her arms over the counter, placing her chin on them, idly watching the man to ensure he wouldn't have the gall to rob her. Although he looked too nervous to do so. Some of the tension eased out of Rey's shoulders. He wasn't relaxed per se, but at least not as high strung as he had been when he first saw that orange name. He could feel her eyes still on him as he moved over to the shelves, looking at the items on display. The first thing his gaze was drawn towards were white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. They looked and smelled delicious - and even better, they were in his tier range. He snatched up all three of them and set them down on the counter near her, then went back over and picked up two marscapone rolls, and brought them over as well. "I've got some materials and col. And as she straightened up Reytac realized that he had actually seen her before. He took a deep breath and exhaled and set the five materials she'd requested on the counter - and then beside it, he stacked five hundred col. "It isn't much, but hey, I'm just getting off the ground. Take this as a little.. I guess, wedding gift? I know when J got married every little bit helped." He scooped up the baked treats and started placing them into his inventory as he stepped back. She didn't care if he was put off by her offer, frankly Mari was just surprised to see anyone here. The miasmatic effect of the floor was detrimental to all who would wander it, especially those who did so for extended periods of time. The incredulous look he gave her didn't go unnoticed, and Mari would make a mental note to charge him more next time, if not, purely from spite. Even if he did offer her the extra col to....compensate for her low price. "Wedding.....?" Mari tilted her head, a concerned frown on her features. She knew players had been nearby when they rampaged through the town to get to the church, but hadn't bothered to pay any attention as to who they were. She guessed he was one of them. Also, it didn't seem as though her cursor - or their violent act bothered him. Odd. Mari tried hard to bite her tongue, but the callous remark came out anyway, without her intending for it to sound so..rude "I can make 80 times that with a single strike- which is why I don't care about such a....small amount of col." She paused. It would do her no good to be rude. "But. Thanks." Mari said as she turned her back on the man to pull out a fresh tray of those very same macadamia white choc cookies, with her bare hands. She was burn proof and firerpoof after all. But - damage resistances were a thing, and she must have at least one that was affecting this. He gave a light shrug at her explanation. "I figured as much, and if I could give more I would have. I hope I can get to the point you're at some point, I want to get home to my wife. Maybe next time I come back to buy something I can pay you better. Thank you for these." He bowed to her. "Now I should get out of here before the malaise on this floor eats my wimpy ass alive. And - well. Treasure all the time with your husband you can." The ache in his chest hurt. He hadn't seen her for so long, and seeing someone who was actually married in here had brought that pain to the surface. But - it was just more fuel. He hesitated a moment longer to see if she would say anything else before he slipped out of the store and back to the lower floors to keep working on his own progress. As Reytac reached the flap of the tent her voice came after him. Quote "I do." She'd say as he'd leave. "And I'd burn anyone, and anything that would stop me." Reytac could respect that.
