Curious, he crouched down and gave the soot-covered stem a yank and managed to pluck it from the ground. Disappointingly, however, the plant disintegrated into ashes shortly after it was released from the ground. "Must've gone bad," he figured. He dusted his gloves against each other as he stood back up. "Either way, I think I've had my fill of this place for one day. All of this soot and smoke can't be good for my lungs." He reached the iron bridge which led him across the open-mouthed volcano and back onto the suspended platform that these people called a village. "I call it idiocy, but I guess some things are a matter of taste." Azide quickly made his way to the teleporter. A moment later, and he was gone.
