[PP F2] Meeting with the Bishop (Azazel) ((COMPLETED))

Hikoru looked over at Azazel and Sighed

 

"No luck with you either? Here, let me try something...." He said as he took out his plushie and stroked it gently, hoping for a little bit of luck "Please work..." He said as he put it back and started searching once more

Hikoru looked through a bit of grass, when he was a glimpse of something orange to the left. He parted the grass to find the last Calendula he needed. He cheered a little in his mind and held it out to Azazel

 

"Here we are! The last one!" He said as he smiled.

“No...†Anna sighed as she sat back in the grass. She couldn’t find another darn flower. The woman looked over at the boy who’d pulled a plushie from his pocket and held it asking for it to work and then he combed through the grass again finding a Calendula that was hidden. “ well I’ll be.†She said and laughed. It seemed that doll was a lucky charm.

 

Hikoru handed the flower over and Anna smiled and got up out of the grass dusting off her pants. ‘right then... Let’s find something to kill and hopefully it’ll drop something good for you.†She said. She’d feel bad if he didn’t get something out of the deal. Maybe she would take him to lunch as payment for the services rendered.

Hikoru got up and nodded, making sure he had everything equipped. When he was ready, he nodded and started to look around for a place to hunt for a mob. He saw a cave nearby and pointed towards it

 

"Why don't we check in there?" He asked as he waited for Azazel's response. He was excited to see how this person fought, which was something that always intrigued him. How people to fluently move with their blade, or charge in at full force. Different techniques were what he watched for, and some he hoped to learn in his own time.

Hikoru looked around and then pointed to something. She followed his finger and saw the cave he was pointing at. She grimaced, Anna did not like caves, caves were small and dark and underground and the woman hated all three conditions. The woman had a deep fear of these conditions combined because they reminded her far too much of the thing she feared most: being crushed alive in the darkness. Zaz had thought to look around the deep forest where there were  trolls. She sighed. “Is that really where you’d like to go?†she asked timidly. If he said yes, she’d agree to go, but she was truly hoping he would say no.

Hikoru saw a look in her eye, something that was.... off. He didn't know what it was, but it had to be something about the cave. He slowly put down his finger.

 

"Well..... We don't have to, I was just giving a suggestion." He said as he slowly rubbed the back of his neck. He wasn't sure what her problems with caves were, but he didn't want to put someone in an uncomfortable spot if he could avoid it. He looked around, but saw woods everywhere around him, so he didn't know where he could go to find a mob anywhere around here.

Azazel felt relief when the boy said that they needn’t search the cave for mobs. “This way then,†the woman turned and began to move down the path with a bounce in her step, really very happy over avoiding the dark hole in the side of the mountain. Zaz knew this level pretty well so she knew where to look for Trolls, all they had to do was walk down the path until they hit the forest produced mist. It was in this foggy region that the big beasts could be found. With Hikoru’s lucky plushie they were sure to find something good for the boy’s shop.

Hikoru followed quietly, hoping that they would find a mob soon. Suddenly, his plushie glowed light blue, and a mist enveloped them

 

"Uh.... Zaz, whats going on?" He asked, a bit nervous, and slightly scared. He didn't know what was going to happen, but something felt.... off in his gut. He looked around, but saw nothing around him but the mist slowly enveloping him, and it worried him more. Soon he lost sight of the trail, and could barely see Azazel in front of him

“Don’t be afraid,†Anna could hear the apprehension in the boy’s voice. She reached back and caught his wrist and held on to him for comfort. “ All the underbrush in this part of the wood is water saturated so it causes there to be mist when the temperature rises, there’s nothing to be afraid of, it clears a little more ahead. Trolls love this area.†she said. No sooner than the words left her lips, a rather alarming groan came from up ahead.

 

“This is it, we found one.†she tugged the boy to the side of her and let him go as she began to pull her weapon. “Stay close. Trolls don’t usually roam together, but you never know if another might come through here while we’re fighting this one.â€

 

The ground began to slightly shake as the heavy footsteps of the approaching troll moved closer. Zaz held onto her weapon and once she got caught sight of the beast, she charged in.

The fog made it hard for her to gauge her attack, and the troll caught sight of her before she could land an attack. The thing swung a heavy club her way but she was able to dodge it and roll away to safety. “Damnit!†she cursed hating when she missed her opening move. The troll began to turn facing Azazel so his back was wide open and ready for the boy to strike, all he had to do was take the opportunity he was given.

Hikoru quickly unsteathed his Basic Knife and saw that Azazel was almost hit. He grit his teeth

 

"DONT HURT YOU YOU SMELLY BLOB!" He screamed as he charged for the troll

Hikoru miscalculated his hit and over shot his swipe, skipping over its leg entirely. He screamed in anger and turned to face his opponent once more

 

"Sorry I missed my hit. Anger got to me again...." He said to Azazel, then prepared to fight this new enemy

Anna was surprised by the shout that came from Hikoru. The boy went into attack but missed his rather large target. He landed at her side and apologized for losing his temper. “ Don’t be, just focus it. Don’t let it lead you. That's when mistakes are made,†she told the boy. Anna gripped her rapier tightly and moved trying to get an opening to attack.

The troll roared again and swung his club at the woman she rushed it. The woman leaped onto the club as it came her way and used it to boost herself to slash her rapier across the face of the monster. Her rapier left a gash across it’s right cheek; the red crystal shards were sent flying. She landed to the side of the monster and she watched what the boy would do. He surprised her. She didn’t think he had instincts, but she was glad to be wrong.

Hikoru slowly breathed and calmed himself, controlling his temper. He decided now is a perfect time as any, and went into "Poker Face" mode, where he showed or felt no emotion. He locked eyes with the creature, and charged for it at a swift speed.

Hikoru charged once again and came closer, but he knew he would missed as the troll turned just enough that his blade didn't touch it at all. He came back over to Azazel

 

"Missed again. Guess im off today." He said in a monotone voice, having no emotion in his voice whatsoever

Anna watched as the expression on the boy’s faced changed. She felt a chill travel down her spine getting a rush from the look he wore. Oh yes, he had instincts and much potential and despite missing she felt some joy watching him focus on the battle. He apologized again for his game being off, but she was rather impressed that he had any at all. “You’re fine, just stay focused,†she encouraged him before she went in to censored up that troll’s censored.

Before she was in striking range the monster once again tried to hit her with his club. Be brought it straight down onto the ground sending a shockwave into the Earth. Anna rolled between the creature’s legs and came out behind him. If she’d be a fraction slower on that move, she’d have been pounded into the ground right about now.  She stuck her rapier into the hide of the beast and withdrew it, sending more red crystal flying and bringing his life counter down a bit more.

Hikoru watched silently as Azazel attacked the beast again, and this time the beast didn't attack. He smirked as he felt his savvy activate on his cloak, and he charged towards the giant beast

Hikoru swung but fell to the ground, losing balance over the Trolls foot. He got up, anger in his eyes, and was determined to defeat this Oaf of a creature

Zaz watched as the boy rushed in toward the troll with such determination upon his face. He looked as if he might actually land his attack until he fell down tripping over the troll’s foot. “How the hell did you manage do that?†Anna said and began to laugh hysterically. She doubled over and held her stomach as she continued to laugh as if she hadn’t in years.

 

Azazel was too busy laughing to notice the troll swing his club right for her. It knocked her right off her feet and sent her flying back into a tree. She slid down the trunk no longer laughing.

 

“Son of a Bitch!†she cursed in surprise.

Hikoru brushes off the dirt and sees the troll hit Azazel. He feels pure rage but shows none in his face. Instead, he shows it through his actions.

"Leave her alone you sack of dung." He spat in its direction

The boy was pretty angry that she’d gotten hit and he yelled at the troll. The boy tried to jump on the creature but he was tossed away like a doll. He got back up and gritted his teeth like he might go in and do something stupid again. “I’m fine!†She shouted at him, “Keep it together or that might be you next time!†She warned him. Zaz had gotten hit because she wasn’t paying attention to her surroundings like she ought to.

 

 

The troll caught sight of the pair of them and began to approach. Zaz took up her rapier again and attacked zig sagging toward the beast. He swung his club wildly but missed every time. As she was in range and her rapier connected with the ugly thing’s belly, the troll swung his club at her again knocking her away from piercing deeper into its flesh. She had cut him, but it still wasn’t enough to stop him, not yet.

Hikoru gritted his teeth. He had to srop this beast, he had to help Zaz. He charged silently at the monster, planning his moves to hopefully attack the beast

“It’s fine!†Zaz said to the boy noticing the look upon his face. She’d had those days where nothing would connect and one couldn’t help but feeling powerless. “Just keep watching for an opening. He’s big and stupid, but he’s ridiculously strong. I’ll keep his attention up front, you just try and aim for his flank the rest of his hide is thick, but he’s weak in that area.†Hikoru moved well, but he let something take hold of him as much as he fought it, once he could get that under control he would make a formidable opponent. The troll watched Zaz as she darted about as she made her way in to make her attack.

She found another in. The troll moved to strike her too soon and she was easily able to avoid the cumbersome club. She thrust her rapier through the thick hide of its belly to keep its attention focused on herself. “That’s Right big ugly, I’m the one you want,†she taunted the monster.

Hikoru felt his Savvy activate, and he knew this was his chance. He grabbed his plushie, stroking it.

"Please, one more time...." He said as he charged for the Troll once more

"I finally hit it." He said in a monotone voice, but he was happy

“You did,†She said and pat the boy on the shoulder. Even though he wasn’t smiling and his voice was monotone, she knew he had to be happy about making contact with the thing finally. With resolve to keep the momentum going Azazel charged the thing while it was distracted by a bird. The dumb troll was jumping after the bird trying to eat it instead of engaging her. She used this lucky break to go in and strike the monster’s flank. Her weapon grazed its flesh and sent red life crystals flying and the things health meter dropped another couple of points.

 

“Nearly there,†she grinned.

 

(Also we get to look for a treasure chest. I may let you and your magical plushie handle that!)
