Lowenthal 0 Posted May 26, 2015 #1 Report Share Posted May 26, 2015 Looking at the armor skill, there's no difference with the Light Armor and Heavy Armor skill. They both add +1 damage mitigation. I would like to propose, a special extra property to these skills. My reasoning for this is so that armor choice is no longer an astehic, or simply just an element in a RP. But by choosing light armor, you're quicker and faster. And heavy armor will absorb more damage. Light Armor: At Rank 2 or 3(Gm determined), you will gain a passive +1 evasion whilst wearing light armor. And at rank 4(or 5) Another +1 evasion. Rnk 1 +1 Damage Mitigation Rnk 2 +1 Damage Mitigation,+1 Evasion Rnk 3 +1 Damage Mitigation Rnk 4 +1 Damage Mitigation +1 Evasion Rnk 5 +1 Damage Mitigation Total: 5 Damage Mitigation and +2 Evasion Heavy Armor: At rank 2(or3) you gain an addtion Damage mitigation. And once again at rank 4(or 5) example: Rnk 1 +1 Damage Mitigation Rnk 2 +2 Damage Mitigation Rnk 3 +1 Damage Mitigation Rnk 4 +2 Damage Mitigation Rnk 5 +1 Damage Mitigation For a total of 7 damage mitigation, should you be wearing Heavy Armor Feel free to express your opinions. Kotori 0 Posted May 26, 2015 #2 Report Share Posted May 26, 2015 I've seen this come up a lot, but the idea is good. Just that many other peopleproposed the same idea you have. Quote Report
Mari 1 Posted May 26, 2015 #3 Report Share Posted May 26, 2015 There is already a difference in the armor, as to what skills they have attached to them. Unfortunately the way this is proposed would not work with our current system as it goes over equipment caps. It is food for thought however we have just recently updated armor to have the skills involved. I believe there was a poll somewhere asking users if they wanted something similar to what you suggested but no one wanted it, so we went with skills that were exclusive to that particular armor type. Also Lowenthal please do not double post. It is not needed Quote Report
Tristan Delaney 0 Posted May 27, 2015 #4 Report Share Posted May 27, 2015 I agree with Mari. This would be more applicable before the enhancements were rewritten. The rewrite though gave the armour types more individuality with what they can use for enhancements. Quote Report
