Rebekah 0 Posted September 21, 2015 Author #41 Share Posted September 21, 2015 (edited) Maybe it was the second time is the charm to finally kill the bird, but whatever it was, it was sure taking quite a long time to accomplish. The girl had wondered about the time it would take for her to finish this battle, and realized that it can take forever, or be just as fast. But she knew that she had to be accurate, and that had meant not wasting any more time thinking about it. It was time to get going and finish this battle. What she did not know was how much will power was left in the bird, as would it go down easily or be stubborn and fight it out. Now it was time for her to move on, and go back to looking for that evasive familiar.ID: 32173BD: 4+3=7LD: 7+3=10Rebekah 71/71Bird 0/36+ matTotal: 5 mat, 180 col Edited September 21, 2015 by Rebekah
Rebekah 0 Posted September 21, 2015 Author #42 Share Posted September 21, 2015 (edited) Now that the bird had been dealt with, it was now about getting back to what she had been doing before all this, searching for a familiar. She was a bit bored, but luckily the bird gave her time to be annoying for once. As she headed towards her igloo that she had built earlier, she knew that it was going to take some time before she was going to find her familiar, so it was just best to hang around for a few seconds before moving on. There were a lot of problem with that suggestion as it was going to get cold, and the weather can change instantly without warning, but it was still best to be active. But there was nothing to be found for ages, so she continued walking.ID: 32176LD: 9+3=12 Edited September 21, 2015 by Rebekah
Rebekah 0 Posted September 21, 2015 Author #43 Share Posted September 21, 2015 (edited) If anything, Rebekah was starting to feel a bit disappointed, having come out this far and still not to have done anything productive. She was starting to feel like she was never going to find anything right for her as it was hard to look for things around here, but she knew that she still needed to get her hopes up, as one of these days, she was going to be able to find what she needed. Finding a familiar was never easy, as it takes time for them to get used to being around one another, but it was often the case that they would not be on the same page. It required perfect synchronization to be able to attack at the same time during a battle, which was rare to see.ID: 32179LD: 19+3=22Mat:6 mat, 180 col Edited September 21, 2015 by Rebekah
Rebekah 0 Posted September 21, 2015 Author #44 Share Posted September 21, 2015 (edited) Now, for the moment of truth, she knew it was almost time to give it another try and she needed to be ready for it. She had heard superstitions that taming a familiar only works at certain times when the animal is hungry, because if it was full, feeding it was never going to work. Rebekah did not know how common that was but decided to take a chance now, rather than later. Rather than wasting it like last time, she knew she had to present it to an animal so that was the only way she could tame it. There were lots of animal around, after they all disappeared during her battle with the bird. Perhaps she just was not paying attention to her surroundings, but she was never going to know what had really happened. Edited September 21, 2015 by Rebekah
Rebekah 0 Posted September 21, 2015 Author #45 Share Posted September 21, 2015 (edited) As she approached baby bear, she took out a piece of meat that she had brought along, the entire time. Rebekah knew this was the most direct method, and she was going to get her answer shortly. The last thing she wanted to do was to kill another animal but this time the bear was not interested, and ran away. Was there something to do with her meat, or something else, she did not know the answer, and knew that she had to continue to search. Now that the bear was not interested, she felt a bit disappointed that all her hard work was for nothing. It was soon to move on again, to another animal. Today was just not her day.ID: 32183LD: 2+3=5 Edited September 21, 2015 by Rebekah
Rebekah 0 Posted September 21, 2015 Author #46 Share Posted September 21, 2015 This was tough, she still has not found what she was looking for, and wondered was it time to give up and move on. But Rebekah was not this easily persuaded by failure. She knew that the moment she joined Azure, she had to be one of the strongest players or else nothing else would work out for her. She needed to not only train but work hard in order to prove to people why she was one of the strongest, and most feared duelest. But she was not that strong, the girl wanted a strong game, and she was a long ways away from reaching that goal. Perhaps, her power will get a lot stronger earlier rather than later, but there was nothing else she could do other at this moment.
Rebekah 0 Posted September 21, 2015 Author #47 Share Posted September 21, 2015 After thinking over it for another while, she knew she needed to move on, no matter how difficult it was, thinking about that cute little bear rejecting her offer to be tamed. Perhaps bears were just not tamable, the same thing happened with cats, although they are cute, they are a hassle to tell them what to do. That was the problem, that synchronization in a fight is going to what sets it apart and she needs them to listen to have that split second timing. That was what made her get over the bear, since the bear would not listen to her opinion anyways. It had to be trainable in order for her to be successful. It was a point that she had just understood just now, and not sometime earlier.
Rebekah 0 Posted September 21, 2015 Author #48 Share Posted September 21, 2015 Without anything else, she knew it was time to have a break, as she sat down in the snow, and pulled out a hot drink. Rebekah had not been drinking any liquids in the last hour, and knew she had to keep herself hydrated no matter how cold or hot it was. It was just the thing that she had somewhat neglected earlier, and now she needed to rest. She did not pace herself but rather, she was active too long. This rest was going to give her a nice break before continuing as she was starting to feel a slight bit of fatigued, not enough to throw her off course, but more than enough to make a difference to her mentality. The hot tea made her feel a bit warmer inside, and now she was ready to stand up and move onwards.
Rebekah 0 Posted September 23, 2015 Author #49 Share Posted September 23, 2015 The girl had continued her search and knew that an impending snowfall was coming soon, that was going to make it harder to search, so she had to find it now. She could always rest and return to her igloo to wait it out, but that would not be a good option for her as she had zero time to waste resting. Rebekah knew that she had to pace herself and not overwork herself which had been a problem for a very long time, she struggled with that, and she needed to work on those basics, about how to take care of herself before moving on. It was not just an internal problem but part of mentality which was to rush through things without thinking clearly.
Rebekah 0 Posted September 23, 2015 Author #50 Share Posted September 23, 2015 Looking outside, there were a lot of things that she would have done better, and one of them was using her time efficiently out here. For every minute she was in the cold, it made her want to leave even more, and at one point she was going to have to leave here, but she was determine not before finding that evasive familiar that she had always wanted. There were just to many things to take into account, especially how lucky she was, and she could possible never find anything. As the storm picked up, she knew she had to be moving on her way back near an igloo, just in case anything had happened. An igloo was more effective than any tents that were made, as it kept her a lot warmer in the event that there was a heavy snowstorm, and besides she did not have to destroy them afterwards unlike a tent which she would have to unpack. Rebekah 0 Posted September 26, 2015 Author #51 Share Posted September 26, 2015 (edited) As time flew by, she knew that she had been out here in the cold for a very long time, thus she was thinking that she may walk into something different, possible a treasure chest. Rebekah had heard about these objects before, but she had not found one ever, and this was the time to do so. The girl had spent the majority of her time, dealing with searching for her familiar out here, that she would have noticed one if she found one anyways. It was that sort of thing, that once she had been here long enough, then nothing was going to surprise her anymore. But there was no treasure to be found here in the cold, and it was time for her to move on once more.ID: 32848LD: 1 Edited September 26, 2015 by Rebekah
Rebekah 0 Posted September 27, 2015 Author #52 Share Posted September 27, 2015 Now that it was out of the way, she knew that the most important thing for the girl, was to find that evasive familiar that had avoided her all of today. It was nothing personal, but she felt like she had failed, as nothing she tried would have worked regardless. As she sat down and thought about it again, perhaps she was trying a little too hard, she wondered? She could not find anything and was now starting to get startled and worried. Rebekah took a deep breath, and needed to clear her mind before she can continue. In her current mentality, she would be able to find anything at all, until she became more positive and less pessimistic over the entire situation.
Rebekah 0 Posted September 28, 2015 Author #53 Share Posted September 28, 2015 As she got back moving, it was the best way for her to take her mind off things. She could really spend a night out here one day, to really enjoy and appreciate the beauty that it had. There were many things that people did not know about the cold harsh fourth floor, and it was the hidden beauty once the cold stops becoming a problem. It was something that was to their advantage, it made you active and move around a lot more than other floors where you can just sit down and enjoy it. But now was not the time, she still had a job to do, which was to find that familiar that she had been waiting so long for. Perhaps she was going to find it today, or rather she knew she had to find it tonight.
Rebekah 0 Posted September 30, 2015 Author #54 Share Posted September 30, 2015 (edited) She continued to search for things, while keeping an eye out for materials. That was the key, finding the familiar, while collecting out in the cold. There was nothing else that she could have hoped for today, other than finding it soon. It was of the upmost importance that she find something soon, before she ran out of time. Everyone else had one, so her thoughts was, why not me. But she knew that she would have to prove others wrong in order to make her point. It was the training that she needed before the raid, that said she had to be well rested the night before, as she cannot become a liability this time around, after what happened last time.ID: 33601LD: 1Total: 6 mat, 180 col Edited September 30, 2015 by Rebekah
Rebekah 0 Posted September 30, 2015 Author #55 Share Posted September 30, 2015 (edited) For her, she had considered most of this trip, a complete and utter failure. Knowing all that, she still had enough time to turn it around and hopefully, the best thing that she will do right now is to find what she was looking for, that familiar. She knew that it was not easy, as the majority of the players do not have one, but it is because of that, she knew she had to try. With her determination, as she was rather stubborn, she was not giving up now, at least not without being dragged away to attend the boss raid. That was when she was going to have to give up, and there was still some time before that. The only person giving her pressure was herself.ID: 33602LD: 5+3=8Total: 6 mat, 180 col Edited September 30, 2015 by Rebekah
Rebekah 0 Posted September 30, 2015 Author #56 Share Posted September 30, 2015 This was the truth, that she still did not admit in her mind. Familiar hunting by herself in the cold sucks, and it was terrible. The girl was starting to feel miserable, having not interacted with anything or anybody in the past several days. There were a lot of things to take into consideration, that she did not plan to be out here this long, and that there were a bunch of things for her to do. But what she did not know was how much longer she can take this before needing to destress over the entire situation. At times, she thought she needed to be a lot more smarter with her actions, but she was already being very careful. Perhaps she was ill prepared and was set up for failure the entire time today. Rebekah 0 Posted October 1, 2015 Author #57 Share Posted October 1, 2015 But was she ill-prepared or was it bad luck. There were a lot of reasons to why she was doing so horribly today, but it could just be a combination of reasons that led her to fail. What she was not going to accept was failure as an option, and she knew she was going to have to work hard to finish the remainder of this hunt. After all, she was not going to be able to find another time like this to search for that familiar. She thought about her perfect familiar, which was going to be hard to find, but she was determined nevertheless. After all, every player had a familiar were strong, and she wanted to join that group more than anything else.
Rebekah 0 Posted October 1, 2015 Author #58 Share Posted October 1, 2015 She had returned to the middle of the ice sheet, and near her igloo. Now was the time to ready herself to feed another animal, in an attempt to tame them. It was hard trying to tame animals, but she knew that the effort would be worth it in the very end. Besides, nothing else had mattered, other than the taming of these animals, and she knew that it was going to be a problem if she was to just walk away. She had heard the boss raid would be beginning soon, and that left her not a whole lot of time to spend on this, she was going to have to be efficient with her time management, and be well-rested for the raid. To make matters worse, she did not have a teleportation crystal.
Rebekah 0 Posted October 1, 2015 Author #59 Share Posted October 1, 2015 It was this that made her continue, that determination, and her stubbornness to keep trying the same thing that had failed twice already. Nothing was going to stop her this time, she hoped, but this time she was going to set a goal. Rebekah had heard that goal setting works in these situations, where it was important that you have to set an attainable goal and attempt to reach it. It gives her a focus to channel that determination, and it was something that she rarely did as she was mostly successful. This brought her back to the time when she had to kill 10 mobs just for 4 items for a quest, such good old memories.
Rebekah 0 Posted October 1, 2015 Author #60 Share Posted October 1, 2015 (edited) She knew this was the time that she was going to succeed. As she approached the baby seal, she looked at it in its eyes. She could sense the animal being curious in her, and knew that it was time to take out that mat once again. It was going to be interesting, how it was going to respond to her, but she knew that it was better than nothing. As she attempted to feed it, she knew that it was not what she wanted, and instead drew out her rapier. This was going to take a while.ID: 33370LD: 14+3=17 Edited October 2, 2015 by Rebekah
