As it passed he lashed out with his sword art yet again but with more fury than before. The Resulting hit left the shark with less then half its health and the fight was starting to draw to an end. The battle was starting to wear down on him. It wouldn't be long before he was out of energy. He had the capacity to use his move once more before resorting to natural swordplay. Tossing a glance at Ebony, he wondered if the match was having the same effect on her. The role of a healer was a stressful one, or at least it was portrayed as such in past MMOs he played. There was nothing she could do but start attacking alongside him, and heal him when he got hit. She saw the sharks fin moving through the sand, and she dived forwards, attempting the fin. The shark sped up though, and launched itself out of the sand, biting Seul on the leg. Ebony prepared to heal him. No one in her party was going to die today. That coupled with the fact his feet would sink into the ground with each step made this fight far more difficult than it should have been. The monster was nearing its death; he just had to land a few more hits on the thing! The fight was already dragging on and the longer it went on the higher his chances of dying would be. Yep, definitely had to hit on his next turn if the fates were willing. Which they weren't because Cardinal loved to watch him suffer. He had the high power attacks, and she needed to keep him alive, regardless of the cost to herself. Not that she was in any danger at that moment. Seul was tanking the creature, and she was healing him. She would attack if she saw an opportunity, but she wasn't seeing one of those. She ran up to him and placed a patch on his cheek before retreating, the patch glowing pink before bursting into crystals, having restored a bit of his health. His energy was practically non existent now, but he still had enough to activate his Tri Pierce sword art. The shark swam at an alarming speed but he was able to fire off three angular cuts to the beast before having to let go and rolling through the sand. Almost dead. He had to keep pushing it. With every fiber of his being he needed to kill the shark and get the power he so dearly wanted. She doubted that she could replicate his move, so instead she just ran up and healed him again. She was on a roll, so far every time she'd attempted to heal him she'd been successful. Now that his health was back to full she could continue to help whittle the sharks health down. What the two of them really needed was a powerful DPS to help them out. His energy had been spent and all he could afford to do was a basic attack, but some damage was better than nothing. The shark had missed again and he was able to dig his blade into its skin as it passed by. Victory felt close, but the shark was still ready to put up a fight. He stayed on guard hoping that Ebony would take the opportunity to deal some damage. The shark wouldn't last much longer anyway. She waited until the shark burst up out of the sand at Seul before sprinting at it, her dagger glowing blue as she activated <<Armor Pierce>>, successfully landing her attack and stunning the shark. She backed up a bit to allow Seul to use this chance to hit the mob. Her stun skills were certainly helpful, even if her damage output was severely lacking. He'd preferably want to hit the shark with one big attack rather than try at multiple small attacks. As long as the shark died he didn't care how long he'd have to wait. "Okay, you can hit it again without drawing any attention. Try using Side Bite while I rest!" Despite her playing the support role both of their power should've been enough to kill the shark at this point without either of them dying. Victory was within their grasps! She ran at the stunned Shark just as it recovered and shot forwards, biting Seul. She landed her sword on it's side as it sank under the sand and swam away, getting two hits in. It wasn't much damage, but every bit counted, especially when the shark had a relatively low health as it did now. If Manta was here this fight would have been over in two or three moves, but she wasn't. That meant that Ebony had to take responsibility for herself and her party member. There was no one to hide behind now, only someone to lean on for help. For once in the game, she felt like she was actually doing something. As it held his leg he too activated Side Bite and landed a dual combo on the beast which forced it to let go. Even Ebony would be able to kill it now. He dropped to one knee while turning his glance toward the girl. "Please, for the love of all that is holy, kill this thing!" It had been a long effort but it would be rewarding to finally have the quest out of the way. It had been a fine lesson to him that not only should one know their limits but also that they should work towards pushing those limits. Almost as soon as he finished his attack, and the shark dropped, she ran at it, only hearing him say something about love and holy. She could only assume that he was delirious, and knew then and there that she had to finish this before he got any worse. She She activated <<Side Bite>> again, and stabbed the shark twice in the face, causing it to burst into blue and green crystals. The loot screen popped up in front of her, as she had dealt the last blow, and she hit accept before a <<Level Up!>> screen popped up in front of her. She hit okay on that as well and then brought the potion out, handing it to Seul and hoping that he had already recovered from his delirium. She wasn't about to carry him back to the town. He happily took the potion before jumping into a hug that practically knocked the girl over. "We did it!" He exclaimed before letting go. The fight was over and they had both made it out alive. He felt a little stronger for having survived it, but was definitely not going to fight without his shield again anytime soon. His familiar had finally shown up again, landing on his head before curling up. "Took you long enough..." But he just dismissed this as he had grown used to Legna's annoying comments. She hadn't expected him to be so happy, but was glad that she had been able to make that happiness happen. She gave him a one armed hug, her other hand still holding her dagger. She quickly sheathed it and hugged Seul back with both hands before stepping back. She ignored the familiar once again and looked at Seul. "It's no problem. It was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed fighting with you. Once I get my armor and shield I'll be a lot more help though." She said back to him before preparing to walk back to the town.
