The stamina decrease that they suffered was real. The game knew when to wind them as they stopped short of the exit of the alley. The screams and cries of people were still heard. He could hear them surrounding them, but none close enough to disturb them. Amber eyes searched hers for a moment. She had a better head on her shoulders than he had anticipated now that the game style was changed.

His mind wondered a moment and the thoughts changed immediately that the news hit him. The game was now sudden death in every type of aspect. Did all death apply? Suicide, monster kills, or a simple prick of the finger? Would illness take place? This game could evolve and manifest. Not to mention the other 100 things that could kill you out in the real world.

When she spoke again about having him stick around, a sense of serene washed over him. With her around, he felt that he could manifest abilities that would push them through the light. When he mentioned about her partner, he had realized that he had completely forgotten the one they were going to see. His thoughts shuffled in his mind to present time now as he realized that this was the sister that probably did not like him very much. Then again, he did not pay much mind to her. He kept the thoughts to himself first. “Make sure you tell her that we will meet her at the south gate. If she is stuck, we can hunt her own. She shouldn’t be hard to spot since we are in town and in the same party.” His eyes glanced by a wandering red head samurai looking fellow who passed them.

“Just tell her to be careful…” His game IQ was already kicking in. He would discuss them the potential reality of actual PK that this game could bring.  

Mouth opened as he took a crunch of the candied rose petal. Eyes lit up at the flavor. He knew that they would be delicious because of the AI system wouldn’t allow anything less but the actual end tasting product was simply delicious. He tasted a few combinations, but end outcome meals were always preprogrammed. Eyes of amber would investigate hers for a moment while listening to her. Her words were embarrassing to him as they showered him with kindness and wonder.

How far these two had grown. It went from childhood to adulthood in such a short time. It was still uncanny on how they both looked the same as they entered the game. The thought of what progressed in reality happened to cross his mind, but he simply just leaned in to kiss her outer lip.

The moment was interrupted by their squawking children. Asmura was so much better behaved. A light hand pressed onto the flightless bird before handing down a snack to it. “We will tell Raidou and the bunch. I wan them to be involved as much as they can within the wedding.” He flashed her a smile.

The reckoning began. The spell that controlled Minotaur had been undone causing a massive shift in the balance of the fight. One could debate on whether that it was bad or good. The unfolding events mattered not. It was the echo of his brethren’s orders that decided his stance. The words were absolute to smash in the defenses as he seemed to lower himself in a running stance. Raidou made it clear that it was time to initiate combat once more.

He felt electricity crackle through his body as he stored up the latent energy into his legs to his upper arms. The sword art was beginning as he let out a soft and slow breath. The truth was that when Raidou commanded something, Kiluia had one hundred precent faith in his words.

A dust cloud kicked up as he ran toward the man who had uttered the words of disruption to them. One last time was correct. This would be one last time they would see each other if he could contribute into the downfall of this rotten and foul creature. While the others began to bombard their weapons, he took the opportunity to ride the wall. Footsteps quickened until one final crushing stomp the chamber came. He went flying into the air before coming crashing down toward the darkened one. Shadow or not, it was able to feel pain and could be touched. Both hands clenched together in a hammer first as he made impact onto the shadow.

Not wanting to stick around for the aftermath, he followed himself with a kick off from the shadow. That was still impactful as he managed to land relatively close to Raidou and Haine. “Let’s keep the pressure up.”

One would feel great after landing a hit on the boss. However, his hands shook from the immediate shock of striking the shadow and its hard body. Despite it having a physical body, it felt like he had attempted to crush a three foot thick steel door. "That's a bit rough."

The sudden lull within the battle caught him off guard. It seemed that the entities that were haunting the bunch were slow to keep up with. Thoughts raced inside his mind as he glanced toward Raidou and fellows who cleaned up the monsters. Albeit that it was his first real dungeon raid, he was unsure how to proceed. It seemed too convenient. His mind had to stay sharp while his side was pressed against Haine.

He tried to stay in formation so the group would stay in a 360 view of the not so bright room. He spoke to Haine as he glanced over at her. “I’ll watch your back if you watch mine.” It was small conversation to break the silence. The heavy silence would soon return once again. His personality was relatively relaxed and upbeat but the thought of this darkness made his skin crawl. What was still lurking in the darkness around them was moving in his mind and would it be able to kill them.

The fluid motions of the troupe were studied by his amber eyes. They glanced from person to person as they struck down the monsters with ease. By his calculations, there would be nothing left for him to demolish when he was able to. After suffering some damage, he did not move in response.  It was etiquette to allow others to do their thing first. Eyes scanned the room taking in the details wondering if there was anything out of place that would seem noteworthy. He stretched as he walked over to Haine as the last of the creatures were dispatched.

“You doin okay?” He spoke softly to her. He checked her over like a quick check up despite her being the healer. She had to take care of herself to support the others. Perhaps he would figure something out to see how he could better protect her and for their daughter’s sake. He glanced over at Raidou and the rest of their crew as it was a small chance for them to catch a break. He wouldn’t respond to anyone unless directly spoken to. Unless it was Raidou, of course.

Watching everyone with their glowstones, it made him wonder if he would have to do the same thing. The white haired wonder would have his immediate answer as Shield tossed him one of those unique. He had noticed the tally bar fill with everyone’s toss of their stone. The bar was almost at the max and realized on his turn that it was something that would require him to succeed to suspend the impending darkness. Each one of their stones caused a reaction to it all.

He would be reminded of a movie scene about a torch would rescind the darkness causing it to quake with fear. The same situation applied. The darkness seemed to shake as he gripped the stone. With a toss into the air, Kil struck it with his heel into the darkness. At first nothing happened. This caused him to become nervous before the darkness began to rapidly fade back from where it originated from. It seemed the stone he had used had done its job. He let out a sigh of relief before glancing at his own party. “That… actually scared me.” He managed a breath of relief out again.

As Shield overhands a stone toward Kiluia, he bolts with enough ripples to rack the chamber. Plucking the object from the air with ease. "Here goes nothing." Kiluia goads winding up like a pitcher. It rockets into the fold, it can be heard impacting with the wall behind the veil. It appears faint a first, before screeching as the shadowlings avoid the newly created light. It begins to reclaim more of the lost ground, forming a lantern-like glow in the center of the room. "I think your on to something." He remarks toward Shield, another pulse of energy beneath his feet as he moves with the same brand of speed to dance back to his fiancé. Things were looking up and it was only a matter of time before they had some edge against it. With more than half the room cast in a faint glow, it was halfway complete and then their opponent would become clear.

 Her hand grasped his like an iron grip. Or at least it was a metaphorical sense. With her fingers interlocked with his, a spine-chilling sensation crawled up his back. The façade of being someone else melted the instant the mirror changed their features back. Staring at the blue haired wonder, she instantly recognized him. This was a bad situation. Shit shit shit!!  He thought in his head as he stared at her. The moment in time seemed to suspend all other activity until the sounds of chaos filled their ears once more.

He knew that this was a once in a lifetime situation. He did not dare to question it as she dragged him with her vice grip through the openings and back alleys. “Where are we going?” He managed to compose himself long enough for his voice not to crack. Eyes of amber surveyed the back streets as people came pouring through the main road. The back streets were less traveled as he pulled her to a complete stop. His hand still curled around hers he realized the woman of his dreams was still in front of him. Puppy love as they would call it. Face reddened as he spoke to her. “The area here is safe…The entire city is safe so long as we stay in the city.”

Eyes glanced down at their hands as he seemed to keep hold of it despite the fight or flight instinct was going into overdrive. There was no where to go for him as he watched her features spill into his visage. He couldn’t forget who she was before let alone now. “…What do you mean, I’m stuck? You still wanna stay wi…th me?” His pale face was becoming more burned with blood rising upward. His hand seemed to give her a soft squeeze as the young man seemed to enjoy it more and more. It almost seemed fitting like a missing puzzle piece.

Having only met Freya in passing, he knew nothing of the woman other than she was a guild member. The hollowed words that boar into his head became what seemed to be a little bit touchier than he had expected. With the weapon already manifested in Gaius’ grip, he was already prepared with his wraps on his hands for such occasions. The man was already ahead of Gaius as a screen appeared in front of him. All he had to do was press the little green button to accept the terms of the fight. Haine had already made it to the doorway but he was sure as hell not going to back down with a weapon drawn against him.

Freya spoke a variety of words to him. No one was going to lay their lives down as he had already initiated the combat response system staring at the two. There would be no lives lost today. No one spoke of taking a life. A little tilt of his head was given. “Let me introduce myself. I am Kiluia. Captain of the Provisional Squad. Former O and I captain. Pleased to meet you.” His hands were already itching. He already had to prove himself to become stronger to at least reach captain level. It was only his way as he wanted to provide for the guild.

His hand would pat Shina on the head. "Rhino Rider... you dropped the cupcake..."

His footsteps stepped right up behind the door that was about to close. His hand caught the door from closing, and he pushed it back open. His eyes scouted around the shop as it hadn’t really changed since he had been her awhile ago. Eyes happened to land upon his darling fiancé, and he spoke. “Well howdy there.” He spoke softly as he leaned over kissing her cheek. Amber eyes would look at Simmone and Sam before speaking to them. “I’m here for the same reason.” There would be no other reason for the duo to be here.

He placed both his wraps and his item present for them to work their magic. 

 

His left eye twitched a little after hearing Gaius speak with the language he chose. His right hand instinctively flexed a bit as he looked over at Gaius. As he was about to open his mouth to speak, Raidou interjected with his response about listening to both sides. It was a fair trial to listen to both sides. That wasn’t the point, however. The point to him was the inability to control said behavior. He stood up slowly and whispered in Asmura’s ear. “Close your ears honey…” When Asmura engaged in covering her ears, he looked at Gaius and spoke to him. “Don’t worry. I’ll be going to Mari here and look for her to see if I can get an answer. But if he goes into a rampage here and someone innocent gets hurt.” His eyes looked down at Asmura. “I won’t give him a fair trial. I’ll also whoop your ass out of existence.”

He slowly placed a hand upon his daughters’ shoulder to signify that he was done speaking. The other meaning behind his words meant that he wanted them to all step up and protect each other.

The stars dazzled the sky leaving white streaks across for everyone to see. There were gasps surrounding them as the others were admiring the beautiful light show. Amber eyes gazed upon them making a quick wish for the duo before looking down at her. He rested his chin upon her head as he spoke. “ The biggest feast you’ll have. I hear there’s a rabbit that is super tasty too. I recently heard about it so we can try that if I can obtain it. But the boars are tasty too. I just want to find the right one before we go ahead and make it. I will make anything you want when I come home.” His voice was barely above a whisper as he held onto the little one. Her reaction to his prior statement still hung heavy and did not go unnoticed.

Upon her next question, he would smile slightly. Hopefully this would bring her a little peace. “Raidou, Freyd, your mom, and ChaseR to name a few.” He looked down at wiping any of her tears away that were still in existence upon her soft skin. “You may know more but its okay. We will come back to you. I have a reason to live.” He would rub her cheek a bit before gazing back up.

Her voice echoed into the area and he traced the echo as she called for him. Amber eyes scanned the surveying area as his sense of direction seemed to dull with the darkness filling the room. He managed to work his way over to Haine and her voice. He found her and heard her words. The words that she spoke crafted a smile upon his face. The blue light that engulfed him made him feel a bit different. The ability hadn’t been casted on him before, but he would take note of the situation as it unraveled.

He let out a breath before looking around for his target. The miasma made it difficult for him as he took off running once more. He darted passed all the people identified causing the miasma to swirl around. The enemies were mixed in within the room but he found a lone one by itself with his fists glowing, he swung with his left hand. There was no contact made with his left hand but the right hand made its target. The shadowling paid attention to the left hand to evade but his right hand caused a sickening crack into the jaw of the shadowling. A sucker punch if you will as the shadowling’s head motioned right, his right hand was already in transit to strike causing more damage.

The shadowling had the right idea but he had already corrected the trajectory with his right. “Too bad…” He spoke as he got into a defensive stance by the rest of the others. His accuracy and the ability to sense those around him was on a different level. 

 The man’s movements were always a work of art. He was a man who was a one wrecking army. It was a good thing he was friends with Raidou or else this would be a very one-sided battle. Watching the creatures become stunned was a treat to watch for. It was always something to watch as they remained stunned and unmoving. Of course, that didn’t apply to the big one who seemed three times bigger than the actual wolves. With a swing and a miss, he could only imagine how effective Raidou could be as an all-rounder. He often wondered how he was able to optimize everyone.

With the stunned wolf, he took off with a kick of his foot into the ground. A trail of dust followed him as he spoke to Raidou. “You know it. The path always opens for me.” He would rush forwards with both hands spread apart. He pulled back and clapped his hands into the head of the closest Warg. It was a unique way of fighting, but he wanted to try out pretty much everything he could. The wargs head smashed in and he would look at Raidou. A grin crossed his face as he spoke to him. “Let’s keep it open.”

What a strange place. The quest marker finally led him to the destination to obtain the rewards. It was quite a dark place. He wondered why there wasn’t a line of people as this was a major dungeon with some harrowing experiences. However, with the manpower in the group, it wasn’t hard for them to complete. Perhaps this was tailor made for every adventurer that just added a little finesse to the system. No matter. His footsteps echoed across the cobblestone path before he abruptly stopped at a target. His eyes narrowed slightly before he watched the NPC move forward.

He sighed slightly as he relaxed at the gaze of the woman. Eyes of amber would scan up and down before he was offered a selection of materials to select. Upon reading, he would select his option. While he was digging to look into the inventory, the items had already been replaced with the Asgard Finery. His eyes perked slightly as he looked up at the already vanished NPC. What an odd quest. No words were exchanged as he left with his new item.

He watched the tension that Haine had before he was able to move from his spot. It seemed she felt some sort of ideal relief from Bahr. Footsteps moved fluidly toward Fenrir which seemed to be in a sort of a pickle. This was an easier quest than he had anticipated from this event but then again, the party make up was what made the quest easy to begin with. With the powerhouses that accompanied Haine and him, it was a quick battle. He wanted to try something different this battle. His footsteps moved quicker, and he lowered his stance to a football like position.

When he reached the beast, his body collided with Fenrir with a sickening crack. Despite the size difference, he managed to move the mystical wolf back from of its feet. The wolf howled in pain and swung at him except it was an after image of the man. A slight grin as given as he was beside his beloved and group.

His own little world had been interrupted with the notion that they were unable to escape from this place. A very serious unexpected turn of events. His eyes turned from person to person from each group engaging their reactions with his own. His mental state started to panic slightly as he had promised Asmura he would come back home to her. If this was his final resting place, he would end up breaking that promise to a girl that he adored like a daughter. Amber eyes glanced over to his beloved for a slight second trying to see if she could tell the position they were in. Baldur had spoken about Raidou and he glanced over at his boss. His eye brow perked slightly as he spoke to @Baldur. "I've never seen him enraged like this except one time. It was when we found Haine. So..  don't think you'll see this often."

He lowered his gaze at his hands and then closed them into a fist. He would be determined to come home to her with Haine no matter what the cost. Body lowered down to a sprinters stance and eyes closed slowly. His breathing slowed down to almost a halt before unleashing full strength into the balls of his feet. A large trail of dust followed behind while he sprinted passed a variety of people from group to group. “Gotta make it home.”

Left leg pushed off and he was into the air. His trajectory had been overshot but he wasn’t going to let that interfere with his momentum. His right foot touched a wall and body crouched absorbing the impact like a spring back into action. Body was now on course with the back of the head of Orgoth. Both hands clenched into a hammer fist and smashed directly into the cranium of the foul beast. Let’s hope we can all go home. He thought to himself as he jumped off his head to land back to his group.

The entrance of the cave was clear as Raidou cleaved through the wolves killing them off. He looked back at Raidou speaking. “Looks like we get t…” He was interrupted with loud howl that reverberated from the cave wall and was echoing out like a funnel. He held his ears and stared at the dark cave entrance and strained his eyes. What he was met with was a pair of piercing blue eyes that bore into his skull. It was out for blood after watching its kin being demolished by the duo. He lowered his hands and sighed a bit out of relief as he was trying not to go into dark caves.

Following behind Blood Bane were three wolves that had surrounded the front of Blood Bane that formed a wall. With that second, he took off at the wolf on the far right with his fist drawn back. He struck full fore into the jaw of the warg sending it slightly backward trying to send it back into the Blood Bane but it didn’t quite reach that far. Amber eyes looked over at Raidou and he took off back to him. "Looks like the info is good."  He spoke to Raidou.

It seemed that the rest of the crew began discussing what they were going to do when Fenrir reached a certain point. He was not planning on interjecting but do his duty that involved striking the beautiful creature. He would stay close to his beloved before watching his guild mate strike first. He would stretch his leg slightly before going into a sprinting stance. He started to slowly intake air. He took off in a heart beat off to Fenrir leaving a small trail of dust behind.

His pathing took him around Fenrir and looked at the rest of the group from a distance. He was behind the marvelous creature and took off into launched himself off his feet into the air. Both knees were aimed at the back of the head of Fenrir despite not wanting to do this but it was int the way of their success of this quest. Both knees connected in a violent strike followed by a hammer blow from his fists. He rolled off the creature and landed beside Freyd. “Hello.”

I hope I gave it hell" He spoke to Bahr.

Watching Raidou gracefully wield his weapon was always quite a scene to see. His eyes would watch the sword carve into the flesh of the wolves and he noticed that he had struck the second one harder than the rest. Eyes of amber would lock onto that particular wolf that was stunned. His hands would flex slightly as he dashed off to strike warg. The blinding speed he usually carried had pinpoint accuracy. Single digits raised as he struck wargs side in various points causing damage upon every strike he imposed upon the digital body. The wolf smashed into a million shards and he glanced at the other wargs.

Each warg remained frozen until he had finished his attack. The creatures could not adapt to the former strike of Raidou and moved sluggishly. His body would snap back toward the original position. He glanced over at Raidou. “Yer up Boss.” He commented to him as the Warg’s were unable to attack.

The sentiment was an honest one that came from Raidou. It was in fact, Raidou was the one who managed to bring them back together. It was a fitting statement for him to ask. His thoughts were interrupted as he froze in his last step. The pathing was beginning to open up around the two wanderers. Judging from the information that was given to him prior by his guild master, it seemed that they had stumbled upon the habitat of where they needed to go. His eyes blinked several times before realizing what he was seeing before him.

There were roughly their height and it was safe to say that they had not noticed the duo. His eyes narrowed looking at them as they seemed to be by a cave like structure. Perhaps it was guard duty or patrol. Whatever the case, they had to go pass them to obtain their true objective. “Bingo.” He looked over at Raidou. His hands flexed in anticipation. The idea was to bat second after Raidou garnered their attention away from him. “Ready when you are.” His voice soft. It seemed to him that these were the reason why the forest was quiet. The front of the cave opening seemed to be decorated with decaying bones and flesh. Nice décor.

His eyes adjusted to the limited moonlight that provided a path for them. It wasn’t enough to invoke the darkness skill, but it was a bit dim for him. The breeze caressed his features as he followed close to Raidou ensuring that the gap between them was small. The encroaching danger would put them in a damper had they been separated. The words whispered by his leader was acknowledged with a simple. “Yep.” He was fully aware that Raidou was a perfectionist when it came to obtaining information. No such thing as too much information.

His amber eyes glanced toward the distance trying to see if a marker would appear for him. It would be more convenient that way. The quiet nature of the forest was somewhat more alarming than the dim area itself. Almost unnerving to him. He spoke in a soft manner as they progressed forward. “We should be able to take care of them.” He glanced at him before looking back at the path. He hadn’t experienced these types of creatures yet but that change today. “Also, I need you to give Haine away to me when we get married.” He added like it was no big thing. Of course, it was though. After that, he remained quiet listening once more to the surroundings.

There were many reasons why he didn’t like this floor. The settlement was great here since the vegetation here was tasty. However, the quest here did not provide him the urge to go on to take it until he was ready to do so. There were many other issues but he did not mind them as much. He found himself looking at his HUD checking the time and positioning of his other party member. That member was indeed Raidou. The duo had done some major quests together before and this was no different. They had been busy in the previous weeks and he made it apparent that he was going to make time for his friends again.

White hair peered out at the vast gloomy path that exited the settlement. How strange that it appeared to be nice here then when you left, it was a darker path. It was made to intimidate. He shook his head lightly before taking the items he had brought from the guild vault earlier to engage the hard quest. This quest could easily go wrong if they weren’t prepared. This was the first time he hadn’t stopped by the stalls to precure items to make for the guild or his family. Unusual. It was because he was determining whether or not he should get other things to assist them on the quest or not. “Shouldn’t be too bad with him around.” He needed to talk to him more about the wedding anyway.

The plot thickens. While Freyd was speaking, he moved slightly closer to inspect the messages that were sent to Freyd from ChaseR. It was indeed an ambush with the details laid before him. This brought a different light upon the person he had just finished a quest with. The evidence was laid out and the responses that were given by a third party were interesting in his point of view. He had heard of Mari but only in passing. He had every opportunity to meet her. Perhaps one day he would or one day he would not. A frown pressed upon his usually cheerful demeanor. Eyes glanced around the rest of the guild members. He hated to say it but there were very few people who could go toe to toe with ChaseR and live.

“So, to condense the subject, he lured you out, assaulted you, turned orange, and was dragged away.” He wanted to make sure that the issue at hand could be spoken in layman terms. “Rather than imposing a civil conversation, he took up arms and decided it was best to strike you?” That was relatively alarming to process. A heavy sigh escaped his lips as he thought about the situation. This was clearly a premeditated act of aggression no matter how you looked at it. Eyes flicked from one member to another before resting upon Asmura. She was not too far away from him. His body moved over to rest on Asmura’s head as he thought about a solution that would carry the best way but also the safest resolution.

He had fought side by side with ChaseR a handful of times. He had a strange attitude, but he meant well primarily. He often watched his words around others especially around the younger players which was evident in his last quest with him. Amber orbs stared deep at Asmura for a variant length of time. He had an issue with this vagrant attack on Freyd. “I’ve known you for quite a long time, Freyd.” He commented. “I do not doubt the words of a man who I have fought beside countless times.” Hand rested upon his daughter’s head. “Your points have solid validity upon it. If he is willing to fight a captain over something that was misconstrued…” His voice trailed off for a few seconds as he eyed the rest of the crew around him. “I think it might be wise to cut ties with someone that could act upon emotion instead of rational thought. Had it been Asmura who angered him… I would of went after him had he killed her.”

Amber eyes left Asmura before glancing over at Haine and then over to Freyd. If it wasn’t clear to everyone, this was already a game to the death. “We should not allow ourselves to cower in fear from allies that could lose their temper at a moments notice. I have fought beside you both, but I am more inclined to form a rational and logical solution.” This had been the first time Kiluia had been in a serious moment in quite a length of time. “It is regrettable, but the guild’s safety remains priority in my views and I believe the people among here would agree that even though he is a powerful ally, he can become  dangerous foe if something is mishandled.”

He stood beside Freyd and made his answer clear. “My suggestion is to cut ties or at least a punishment suitable in terms that he should not be allowed to be with a group alone. We can make that happen if we agree that no one under a certain level should join his group without a leader or leaders being held within that group. If we do keep him as an ally, restrictions should be in place for him, so he has no access to anything within the vault. Lastly, if he does not agree with any restrictions, no love lost my friend. I do not mind indefinite expulsion.” He finished as he looked at Freyd. A slight nod to the man was given as he sat back down with his fellow group mates.
