Mari nodded toward toward Yuji- allowing Celes to rest nestle into her. "Eh?" Mari turned her gaze toward Kiru, who must have thought that Mari was having an issue with her. The girl had black and white hair, it was...different - and she seemed stand offish but so was Mari. Mari had no qualms with her. "Think you're mistaken, I don't have a problem with you." Mari pointed toward Liam and Tom. "Those menacing men, towering over Celes. They are who I had the problem with." Mari gave Kiru a calm look as she sneered at her. Mari figured she'd let her sneer, if the roles were reversed Mari would be acting almost the same.
"Damn right no one else has to die." Mari muttered, turning her gaze away from the group. -
I had a dream that I was Mari;
and I was talking to Life who was actually SIllith or whatevers; and as we were talking his hair was growing long and longer till it was sprawling out on the ground around us. The hair was like tentacles - and they snaked behind a bush and dragged Alkor and Lessa out of it.
Then there was a part where I was fighting and my cat was my sidekick and she was very sassy.
Then I dreamt about work;
Then I dreamt that Mari ate a person, just. Just casually put them into the oven and ate them. -
Mari never usually roamed the first floor; but today she was. She found that as a pker she was left well alone. The low leveled players here barely spoke to her, they just timidly shuffled along, avoiding eye contact.
Mari didn't mind being a social outcast, she had come to somewhat appreciate the solitude, the silence and the lack of drama it brang
During her directionless wanderings she came across a small group of people, she almost walked past. almost.
Celes was there and appeared to have her weapon drawn. a battle? Mari waltzed over to the group, and stood beside Celes- wrapping an arm around the girls waist. Dark cerulean eyes boring into the one who had attempted to attack her.
"Problem?"
-
Mari shrugged, she really didn't see the need to see him another time, "Eh. I am not looking forward to it."
And with that, Draterion started walking away; as though he had nothing else to do or say. Was that really it? A demand for an answer, and a threat? He didn't ask for her to elaborate. Not that she'd willingly elaborate that easily mind you... he didn't ask anything else, he simply left. Mari yawned, arching her back as she stretched. Stopping when she heard him call out over the distance.
"I'd like to see them try kid." She called out, "From what I hear, its just you - my old guild member, and Kazuya. I'd tell them not to come after me if they valued their lives." She retorted back, knowing it'd probably bait him, frustrate him or have him storm off.

Mari did not like being touched, and so her first reaction was to attempt to push him away - but he was taller than her, and physically stronger. Mari sighed. It was the Sinon Scenario all over again. At least Zero wasn't crying into her chest. Zero begged Mari not to listen to him, not to listen to Life's sadistic and twisted words - yet she felt torn. She trusted Life, she trusted him more than she trusted Zero. Even if his attitude had changed. "If that feeling is like a poison perhaps I'm just toxic." Mari murmured, resting a hand on the back of his head. "I've met Daeron - he seemed nice. He gave me rations and shared a drink with me. Zelrius - I don't know his past. He just seems arrogant. And Zero..." Mari pulled him away to look into his eyes. "I'm disappointed you'd ever think I'd end up acting like trash such as him." She brushed white strands of hair out of his troubled face. Attempting to soothe him.
"I'm not a monster, we all have that tiny ball of darkness, twisted inside of us - it's in all of us, it's what makes us human." Mari tried to console him, by repeating the words that Life had told her, but she wasn't aware just how dark and horrid they sounded. Or what effect Life's words would have on Zero.
"I'm not alone. I have Life, Alkor, You - My guild, I don't ever see me drawing my blade on any one else, any time soon. I'd rather avoid it." -
( can you please give me more than a line to work with? It's making it impossible to reply to and give a decent reply.)
Mari snorted, finishing her drink, the glass disappeared as she crossed her arms. He was adamant to know what happened, and Mari could at least give him the single sentence summary that his half assed apology "Argumail was being a prick and tried to attack 3 female players." Mari lifted her shoulders in a shrug, giving a huff, it was about time he had realized he was being rude. "No, no I do not want to go fight a monster. No point. censored on this floor is too weak anyway. I came here to relax, not to be berated by hot headed children. Who don't know when they've lost." -
Mari struck the pick against the wall again the sounds of the small 'tink' tink' 'tink' echoing as the two fell into a odd silence. Giving up Mari focued her attention on Zero agian, noticing his demanour change. His fists ball up - his entire form shaking. Was he going to attack her? He did say he was a gamble after all. Zero snapped at her, turning to face her - face contorted in rage, spit flying from his mouth as he chastised her, telling her not to give him that crap. Mari flinched, glancing away.
"I wasn't referring to.....that.....I was reffering to how easily ....*ahem* defeating Argumail was, it kind of scares me - but - Life has told me, helped me realize I shouldn't run from that feeling, I should accept it and - Hey..hey HEY!" Mari shouted, as Zero slammed his head against the wall. "What the censored is WRONG with you?" Mari screamed as she placed her palm in the way so the third time he slammed his head he hit her hand instead of the wall. Mari slowly pushed herself in front of him till he had head butted her instead of the wall. Mari winced.
"I don't know what you are on about this 'living in the light' business but you need to stop that right now. I don't need you to disappear on me too. Dammit Zero."

"Damn right it is not something that concerns you." Mari muttered coldly toward him before taking another bite of her bread. She gave a smirk as she watched him smack himself in the head. He seemed to stumble, and caught the bread. Offering her his thanks. "You can thank me by not mentioning that person any more." Mari didn't mind helping him, but she still felt a swirl of frustration and anger at the mention of who she used to be - a person Mari felt she had abandoned long ago.
Sasayakaze had shifted to sit next to her. Oh no, Mari did not like that one bit. "Actually..." Mari began as she shuffled away from him - creating a good Metre between the two. "I do mind."
She turned her attention to the fire. "I don't think it's nice. I don't get along with people. I say whatever the hell I want, any time. I am not going to filter myself for some jackass I meet in a game, who if we do manage to survive probably won't see ever again."
The man asked her to tell him about heself, and Mari just laughed in reply. Kid clearly didn't know who he was talking to. -
Mari laughed as he proclaimed his title. "Oh, like I give a damn who you are. You Could be the new leader of that mess and I still wouldn't give a flying censored." She was showing signs of aggravation. Mari would still never strike out at someone who didn't' attack first, but she would be damned if she would be nice to someone who wouldn't show the slightest sign of respect.
"Your old guild members can come. I'd like to see them try, if you are so sure its Argumails fault then why are you here? Why defend such a vile, twisted man?" -
As Zero stepped away Mari continued hammering away at the wall, her next strike was a failure but she didn't let that get to her too much. Unlike Moartea she didn't easily get frustrated with the lack of materials gained. She felt that 2 in such a short time was more than enough. More than expected. Mari paused her mining when Zero spoke through gritted teeth, begging her not to treat this as a joke. She lowered her head. "How else am I meant to treat it Zero. Two people have died by my hand, and the more time that goes by, the more I realize...how easy it was for me to do....what makes another few deaths on my already scarred soul eh?"
She looked up at his back, she wasn't sure what he was going through or feeling, but she felt she should thank him for that day. "Thank you - for helping. I felt like I just...snapped seeing Argumail treat that Celes... Celesh? Seeing him do that to her."Loot Dice: 10 FAIL

"This side of you is sadistic." Mari muttered, before giving a small grin, "But admittedly interesting." Her grin fadded when Life turned away, looking bored. Mari arked up, her tone annoyed. "Hey. You're the one who said I was still human. Being human and humanity kind of...." Mari used her hands to illustrate her point, miming weighted scales shifting up and down "Go hand in hand."
Life's eyes turned cold, and Mari clearly looked taken aback at first, but her facial expression changed to a determined one. She wasn't about to let her closest friend play such games. "If that's the case, then I have no problem ridding the world of them." She said blankly, a part of her was surprised she had said the words with such ease. "But don't get me wrong Life, I won't attack unprovoked. Don't try to tempt me into your sick little mind games."
If only Mari realized that was already happening, and that she was entwining herself deeper into the net that had been cast for her. -
Mari grumbled when she felt Zero push her head against the strangely cool cave wall. She glared at a crystallized vein, venting her anger at that thread of blue till Zero let her go. "Tear them to shreds eh?" Mari asked dryly as she turned to face him, she noted the cold hard look in Zero's eyes, he was serious - and that didn't impress Mari. Not that she didn't appreciate the sentiment. "I'm not bothered. They don't scare me - I think even if they all attacked, I'd have a fair chance. However..." Mari thwacked the vein with her axe, and another small crystal popped out, she quickly placed that into her satchel too. "Just in case - I am collecting Recording Crystals, I have a customer asking for them - I don't have much Col, and am going to invest in them, sell some and obtain a few teleportation crystals."
She gave a bitter laugh, "I haven't been right in the head for weeks."Loot Dice: 20 SUCCESS

Mari shrugged; normally she'd be quite accommodating toward people, and tell them what happened, but he was being rude and demanding. He wasn't polite - he didn't introduce himself...he was practically ticking all the wrong boxes with Mari, the only thing he did have going for him was the fact that he had actually put away his sword. Listening to reason. Mari gave an inaudible sigh of relief, she'd rather not have any more blood on her hands. "That's nice." Mari said as she took another sip of her drink, on purposefully glancing away to look at a lone wolf in the distance - it was too far away to attack, but close enough for Mari to focus her attention on that instead of this rude boy.
-
Mari grinned when Alkor repeated what his fortune cookie said; "I definitely think we have a matchmaker here." Now they were near the bar Alkor seemed more and more sceptical of the whole situation and Mari could not blame him. NPC's did NOT slur. Alkor snapped, taking the situation very seriously. Mari covered her mouth as she giggled, leaning over the bar again seeing if she could find anything else. Finally, after a few minutes and the sound of bottles being knocked over - Mari pulled out a bottle, she read the label. "Bacardi 151 - mmm I am pretty sure this stuff will knock you out. Literally." She handed it to Alkor. "Just don't get so drunk you don't remember today~" She teased before adding, "We still need to double team Life."
Mari took the lead heading to where Alkor had pointed, but was ambushed by a very, very drunk looking NPC who now looked like a very, very drunk Life. So He was behind it, and he had been drinking to boot, was he drunk this whole time? Is that why he set this whole thing up?
"Close?" Mari questioned. She gave Alkor a confused glance before turning back to Life, reaching out to try to steady him, but Life it seemed had other plans - he sauntered between the two, pulling them in close as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "Y-Yes it is but that's because YOU spilt that drink on me you ass!" Mari struggled to pull away from him, attempting to shrug him off her shoulders.
"Life you know I don't like being tou-"
Her words were stemmed as she felt two things, she felt herself falling backwards onto the floor - the pain of the hard ground colliding with her cossacks - and the soft sensation of Alkor's lips against hers. She pulled away, face red mouth agape in shock, even though it was nothing more than a light press, she could still feel the tingle of Alcohol, and taste the fruit of the Chartruse. Her blue eyes were wide, shocked - and embarrassed.
What just happened? Alkor had braced himself, falling above Mari, Mari wanted to get up but couldn't move - body stilled in a stupor. Then, Mari was pressed to the floor, one hand pinned underneath Alkors chest, hand pressed up against one of his many scars. The other was free at her side. Mari couldn't See Alkor's face as it was next to hers, she could feel the heat of his breath tickling her neck. Sending a wave of goosebumps down it and her arms.
If Alkor were to see her she'd have given him an apologetic look, but since the two were pinned under a drooling, snoring Life all she could do was speak. "I'm uh...S-Sorry." -

Mari blinked when a stranger to her had jumped down from the tree she was sitting under. A pervert? Stalker? He seemed young, she could tell it from his voice - it hadn't yet broken, or was in the process of it. He drew his sword and his stance seemed sloppy. So much so that Mari didn't even bother to draw her blade. Why would she? For all she knew this player was just a hero, looking to rid Aincrad of Player Killers.
That was, until he mentioned Argumail. Mari furrowed her brow, her lips forming a straight, stoic line as her cold blue eyes stared up into his pained, questioning green orbs.
"What happened?" She repeated, pausing to take another sip of her drink. She did not appreciate his rude behaviour, he was rude to her, so she'd be damned rude in response. "You answered your own question. I killed him, put that away before you hurt yourself." -
Mari sighed, "I don't like this new tone of voice you have, Life. It's....unnerving," Mari briefly closed her eyes, feeling his warm breath against her skin. She could smell hints of molten and ash - and it was an oddly pleasant smell. "What bothers me more is that I feel you're right. They would have been killed. But I don't feel like a saviour, I don't know what I feel like right now."
Mari lifted her head slightly, eyes fluttering open as they turned to him. "What?" His words took her back, and she tried to lift herself from his warm form, but he began to rub her sides slowly, and Mari found herself almost drearily resting her head back onto his shoulder. "That's a horrible...." Mari trailed off, it was a horrible thing to say. It was cruel, evil, sadistic. What did she feel when he died? "I wasn't...." Mari paused, body heaving as she drew in a deep breath and held it. She bit her lower lip hard, hard enough that she had managed to puncture the skin, but she hadn't noticed the dot of blood form. Exhaling slowly Mari whispered. "I felt...relieved...that he..was gone...but then, I was sad."
Mari's eyes clouded as they became half lidded, how could Life say such things? This...this wasn't the Life she knew, the sad yet frustrated boy. The man who stamped his foot as he stumbled around blind, who seemingly burst into tears at the thought of an event unknown to her.
"The rest of us...huh?" Mari asked pensively. "Like you? Even Alkor?"
Mari didn't say it aloud, but she did have to agree with the statement that there was a fragile beauty with all things. -
Mari was on the fourth floor, her favorite floor, she was well out of the safe zone – and away from her usual place at the Lake. She was resting under a tree topped with snow –blowing on a cup of hot chocolate she managed to bribe a lower leveled player into giving to her, at the sacrifice of some Col of course. She took a small sip of it. Before sighing.
The week had been a very long one indeed, and Mari - after talking to Life and Alkor was finally feeling better. -
Ok so I had a dream last night about our RP cahracters/selves whatever
Mari was in a forest and had confessed to Alkor, he turned her down.
Then Lessa was turend down
Lessa and Mari (me) Met up and talked about it then we went to this hot springs and had a soak and Zero and Zel were spying on us and Daeron was there but he had boobs, but also the man junk, like - picture the typical muscular/toned guy, but with d cups, that was Daeron. D-cup Daeron.
Zero took pictures of Daeron and started selling them online and all my fans and customers from my modelling stuff went to him instead and that made me a little sad.
Also I was eating waffles -

Alkor muttered something about how even the people one thought they knew, often surprised them. "Speaking from experience there, eh?" Mari asked lightly, before her tone lowered. "I think. It's a good thing, it's exciting - it's a part of friendship, of knowing someone. Sometimes...people grow and they change - you learn more about them...other times they don't, but what's so bad about either of those things?" Mari asked herself, she was trying to rationalize her behaivour with her words - she felt as though she had changed too much, and that if she returned to reality - those who did know her, would walk away. How long had they been in this game? Would anyone be waiting for her? Mari furrowed her brows. No...She knew no one was waiting, she wasn't close to her sisters, her father was deceased and her mother was travelling the world. They were moving forward and she was lying in a hospital bed somewhere with a machine strapped over her head.
Alkor asked if there was anything else other than levelling, than fighting, clearing floors and escaping. "Yes." She sat up shifting so her form hovered over Alkor, tiny arms either side of his waist, hands planted firmly on the grassy ground. She was close, very close. The proximity probably made him feel uncomfortable, Mari felt a tad unnerved herself. She searched his amber eyes for some sort of answer to a question she didn't know she had. The wind picked up her short hair, and it danced across his pale cheeks. Still, Mari did not move.
Alkor.
He was such a mystery to her. Mari wouldn't have even given him a second thought if it weren't for Life and his foolish antics, yet here she was - finding comfort in him. His presence alone calmed her nerves and those brilliant golden eyes, did he know what power they held? Mari's gaze was intense, her eyes burning with a ferocity of emotions. Pain, doubt, tenderness, affection. Mari could not say for sure what this man did to her - frankly, it was too soon to tell. Did she have feelings for him? Maybe, but she couldn't do much with it. Not now, it was clear he wasn't interested in such frivolities; and she was a mess. Finally after a long silence, Mari continued her sentence, her voice a hushed whisper. "There is more, Alkor." Mari gave a slight grin. "Maybe, if you open your eyes wide enough. You'll see that. So what if I don't see you again? Or Life. Or Anyone. But so what?" Mari's voice hardened. "I don't care if I don't see anyone again."
She pulled away, if she remained there she had a feeling he'd just end up pushing her off, and walking away and Mari didn't want that. "I don't care, because - I've met them. They'll be people I remember. You included. The Alkor here, is just another facet of the Alkor out there - another side to the same coin." She laughed lightly, "Maybe one day I will bug you enough to see that, maybe not, but that's what makes things interesting."
Mari nestled back into the grass, on her back staring up at the sky. One hand under her head the other resting casually on her stomach. "I am somewhat selfish, the only thing I had waiting for me....well, I guess I took that away. So I've been less inclined to devote my life here to battling, to fighting. I forget, that others have families and homes - that right now, they probably have people waiting beside their bed. Mourning their absence."
Mari fell silent for a few moments. "I wonder what that's like."
-
Mari shrugged, "Good - because I wasn't planning on doing anything." She said with a cocky tone. Giving him a slight nudge in his side, a playful gesture - but it was also a small attempt to get him to loosen his hand. It was making her uncomfortable. "I may talk big, but honestly - hate being touched." Mari said abruptly, she wasn't one for tact or to beat around the bush. She tried to get used to his touch, and a part of her didn't mind it. A smaller part of her wanted Daeron to slide closer so she could lap up his warmth. Mari hesitated, "At least most of the time anyway."
Mari turned her face to Daeron, trying to read him, he was still difficult to place a finger on. "So, Pker too eh? How'd you end up with that mark?" Mari asked.

With the opening of the doors came a very uwanted rush of heat, Mari bought her arms up to shield her face from the blast; squinting past her arms she noticed the Hydra, its large form towering over them all - 4 heads acting independently of each other. Great. Just great. The players got into their groups and Mari took her place by Lessa, Primrose and Shark. She felt confident that she at least knew two of the people in her group. The first two groups were attacking; and at some point the Hydra's heads blasted the crowd, Mari felt a tingling sensation come over her body - and realized part of her HP was gone. She blinked, it was so little she almost didn't notice it. There! There it was again, it went down, Mari felt a heated burn run through her body as it did. "Must be burnt..." She muttered.
Group 3 wasn't having much luck it seemed.
It was Mari's turn to attack, she sprung forward, darting to the side to avoid a flailing head, she grabbed hold of one of the spikes down its back and it lifted her up into the air. Mari was dangling high above the ground now, she curled her legs up against the neck of the other head - ready to spring herself off it at the right moment; that moment came seconds later. The 3rd heard was right underneath her, and Mari let go, dagger thrust downward ready to strike, but she had missed her mark - having let go seconds too late. She landed on the ground. Wincing at the impact. "Ahh crap..." She pulled her dagger out from the ground and skidded back to her group. "We are really unlucky eh?"
