Sousuke

Sousuke looked at his food as it arrived certain that he'd enjoy the pancakes. They smelled great. Before they began to eat though he answered her question.

"I think I'll go visit my brothers grave first I'm sure by now they would have had the funeral for him. After that I will probably get in touch with you and give you my address so you can come visit or I'll come visit you so we can meet up for real. We know what we look like but I imagine I won't be so muscular anymore I'd imagine my body would have lost most of its tone by now with being out of action for so long and I'd certainly need a haircut. I think I'd have to get used to walking around again too so once I'm on my feet I'll do those two things first." He finished as he took a bite of his pancake.

Sousuke shook his head at the way Kou acted. How was he supposed to know it looked he couldn't see it? That was all he was bothered about. He wasn't trying to prove a point or anything he just wanted to see if it was turning out ok.

"Hold up that's a present for someone I kinda need to see how it looks and take a look at the measurements so I get the design right do you mind standing up for few moments so I can take notes then you can give it back you'd be doing me a huge favour." He said casually as he took out a pen and paper with the design on covered in intricate details and drawings with measurements on. It wasn't an unreasonable request he thought and it was the only way he could get it right.

Sousuke smiled at her as she spoke and he couldn't help but feel that much closer to her after she said that he decided to open up a little more to her because he trusted her so much and thought she at least deserved to know more about him at least.

"I was recruited to a secret agency at 12 and by 14 I was on the field so you could say I was a child soldier and before you try to ask I'll be honest yes I've killed people but that's war. I never enjoyed it at all in fact it still keeps me awake at night now more than ever, but on the battlefield it's you or them. You have a job to do and you can't do it if your dead. I fought for what I thought was right that is what I was proud of but in the end a friend of mine was taken hostage. She saw things in her mind that would blow yours or our mind and I was told to protect her. Anyway long story short there was a bomb but she was also taken hostage. I was ordered to leave her and defuse the bomb but I ignored a direct order from the commander to go after her. I got her out of there but the bomb went off luckily no one was hurt but I lost my job because of it and here I am." He told her just as their food arrived.

Sousuke shrugged it off as he crunched on an onion ring trying to figure out if Kou would actually wear the skirt or not then he had a great idea. Funnily enough he was just getting back into tailoring and he figured what better way to get back into it than make Kou wear a skirt he was making for Manta as a suprise. She could try it on and he got to see what it looked like on somebody so everyone is a winner.

He quickly pulled up his menu and selected the unfinished skirt and selected drop and it landed with a plop in Kous lap.

"Why not try that on its not finished yet and I need someone try it on so why not?" He suggested still oblivious to what was going on.

Sousuke waves goodbye to the girl a little confused at her sudden departure she was definitely intresting to say the least so he decided he would try catch up to her another time to try figure her out. He took a sip of his mead and sat back in his chair in front of the firem he closed his eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep.

Sousuke ignored the comment Manta said about them both being boys. He figured she was just referring to how they both acted toward her. He let Manta sit back in his Lap and watched Kou very closely seeing how she acted and then he thought of something that actually held his interest.

"How come you don't wear skirts anyway?" He asked Kou politely

Sousuke figured there was no harm in telling this girl their story after all it wasn't like anything to strange was going on at least. He sat forward and began to speak.

"Bout 8 months me and Manta were a couple we had a large group of friends who started dropping of the radar the first was my brother whose gear I inherited. He was killed in front of me. That started of the wheels in motion first was Arek who taught me everything one day he just vanished next was sol and Destiny my younger cousin they did appeared together. Finally Kitty vanished and it was at that point I decided to go after them. I travelled to the frontlines alone leaving Manta behind for her safety and I started clearing out all the mobs on the way to boss on my own trying to find them but never found a trace."

Their drinks arrived and he paid for them before looking at the girl.

"You with me so far?" He asked

Sousuke smirked at how she reacted when offered a drink and hot chocolate too? How typical for a girl who was cold to want one of those he thought. He waved over a waiter and placed an order for a flag on of mead and a hot chocolate before sitting back and observing the girl intently trying to figure her out.

Sousuke nodded curtly before sitting back down and began chewing another piece of steak and watching the two intently it was at that very moment he decided to have his own bit of fun. Despite being blissfully UN aware of Kous true nature he thought he could have a bit of a laugh at there expense. He had accepted the apology but revenge was on the horizon.

"You two make a cute couple you know." He said in a casual tone trying to hide his smirk behind his hand.

What was the harm in enjoying himself for a change he thought. He was with Manta and everything was looking up again he wasn't going to ruin the mood by talking about his past.

"Pancakes and syrup my good man and make it a large order." He said before looking back to Manta and smiling. 

"Hey just cus I've done some messed up things doesn't mean I'm a bad person everyone has a dark side right?" He said smiling hoping he didn't come off as creepy.

Sousuke shrugged at that comment it certainly seemed like she was flirting and if not then something else was going on but he couldn't figure it out instead of asking about it he decided that instead he would just see how things went it was an interesting situation to in that was for sure.

"Do you want a drink or summat to help you warm up." He asked as he continued to warm himself by the fire.

Sousuke watched for a second uncertain how to react he picked Manta up off the floor before he calmly spoke but his voice chilling and he was sure that anyone would go running at the rasp in his throat.

"So it's not me your after its Manta. If you wanted a duel all you had to do was ask." He said his hand resting on the hilt of his blade.

Sousuke thought for a few moments before approaching his answer carefully.

"Back when I was in the desert in helmagistan (made up place) I was captured by the enemy. I was 16 at the time and I'm not proud of what I did to escape but yes I have used a sword I'm the real world it was a longsword they used for their back up weapons up close. I managed to escape my prison and fight my out. That's also where I got the flint idea from. You gotta do what you can to survive behind enemy lines. As for training no I wasn't trained I had to learn on the spot or be killed." He told her as he looked out the window the lights casting a gentle glow over his face.

Sousuke looked up a little irritated at the girls question. Sure she wasn't exactly perfect and something about her seemed off but she wasn't weird. In fact he'd feel more annoyed if another girl didn't try and hit on him. To him it proved to Manta that he was loyal to her and as awkward as it was to have her friend tease him he thought it would make for aan intresting friendship.

"Your not weird no but I don't see why your hitting on me." He said without looking at her to try avoid another awkward confrontation.

Sousuke slid one of the chairs out from the table to allow Manta to sit down before taking the seat opposite her and looked around. He saw a candle on the centre of the table. He drew his ever present sword from its sheath on his hip this time and placed the tip of the blade over candle. Next he drew a piece of flint from his pocket and struck the blade with it lighting the candle. He replaced his gear back and smiled at Manta. 

"Hows that." He asked with a trumphent smile.

Sousuke stopped for a second before he continued on with what he doing. Manta would be more irritated if he let her friend freeze he thought so there was no harm in it. Besides Kou was in position to argue since it was her fault. He opened the tavern door and led her to a seat by the fire before sitting her down and taking his coat back.

"There it would be worse if I let you freeze besides your one to argue you practically dived in after me." He said taking a seat opposite her and holding his hands out over the warm fire, rubbing them together every now and then.

Sousuke watched all this unfold in front of him before watching Kou fall back off her chair. He watched the fork drop to the floor as Manta jumped back into his lap. He began to fake cry and started complaining.

"My steak!" He explained before reaching for another piece and plopped it in his mouth chewing contently. He finished his mouthful and kissed Manta back bbefore he spoke.

"Can you try catch it next time." He said jokingly before looking at Kou and wondering what would happen next.

Sousuke kind of took pity on the girl standing there with her clothes wet through. He took off his trench coat and draped it over her shoulders. Before she could say a word he grabbed her hand and began dragging her to the nearest tavern which he knew always has a fireplace so could dry off.

"Don't get any ideas ok a friend of Manta is a friend of mine and I'm not having you catching a cold out here." He said as he pulled her along.

Sousuke Sat there spluttering before he shook his head and looked the girl who can somehow fell in the fountain next to him. When she said he had done it on purpose he started chocking again before he coughed up a small gold fish which landed with plop in the water and swam away. He watched it swim away in confusion before he answered the question.

"I'm pretty sure your the one who grabbed me so it's Your fault and what did you think was going to happen after you said that? Anyway here you'll catch a cold." He said standing up and offering his hand out to the girl to help her up.

Sousuke grinned and put his arm round her waist holding her close and to make it easier for them to walk without there arms being stuck between them. 

"Yea your right but don't hesitate to message me you know." He said to her giving her a little squeeze. He looked around at the crowds and looked back down to her before continuing.

"I'll be about 20 then when we get out of here cus I'm 19 right now but I do have my own place if you want to spend the night or week or year." He said with a chuckle as they rounded the courner at the end of the street.

Sousuke began to figure out what was going on Manta thought Kou was flirting with him and she was being protective. That much was clear but was Kou really trying to get with him? That was unclear but he had only eyes for Manta. Luckily her legs were hidden by the table or what he did next would certainly have been obvious. He gently caressed Mantas leg while he pondered his meal he wasn't aiming to do anything naughty mind, just reassure her so he kept his hand below her skirt line so that she knew the intention.

"Steak all the trimmings well done." He simply said before giving a little glance to Kou grinning to himself. This was going to be a good day.

Sousuke had no choice but to look at her as she leaned in closer instead he averted his gaze to try not to give anything away but it was obvious he was flustered by the girl. It was nice to get some company sure but he didn't want this. And what if Manta found out? Her weapon could do some serious knock back and damage so he certainly didn't want to bring down her wrath.

"I have a girlfriend you know?" He stuttered still blushing. He had no idea what was going on and he tryed to lean back but fell with splash straight into the fountain.

Sousuke frowned as she explained what she'd been through he couldn't help blame himself for what had happened to her even it was only partly his fault he took all the blame.

"I can't help but feel it's my fault you went through that I'm so sorry." He said but he quickly changed his tone as he asked her another question.

"As for the real world I remember saying we should meet up after this and if I promise to stay alive I want you to do the same and I will still find out where your parents are hiding you. I thought for sure they would have pulled the plug by now but I guess I was wrong and I'm glad I was. At least your still here and that's all that matters right now. I'll spend every free second I get by your side." He told her 

Sousuke blushed a little his hand still in Manta's. He wasn't completely dense to how things work but he wasn't a genius either he could tell she was trying to seduce him which was working to be truthful but he had absolutely no clue why she was doing it all of a sudden she basically said she trusted he wouldn't go off with another girl yet he also couldn't figure out why she was suddenly acting like this. 

"Oh uhm steak maybe well done?" He said referring to his own meal he thought if he was the only guy here he needed to act as masculine as possible and doing that meant he had to eat manly food and get his act together quickly so as to not appear a nervous idiot trying to show off. Instead he was going for a more confident vibe so he straightned himself up and UN equipped his coat showing his tight white shirt underneath with framed his was toned body before turning to Manta and putting his head out of view from Kou behind the menu and kissed Manta on the lips passonatly before straightening back up and asking what she was going to choose.

"What about you babe what you having?" He said as casual as he could muster letting go of her hand and putting his arm round her shoulder.

Sousuke felt a poke on his shoulder and turned to see Manta's friend inches away from his face as she asked him what he doing. He jumped in comical fashion nearly falling into the fountain but managed to catch his balance. She asked him why he wasn't with Manta and he exhaled deeply blowing his hair out of his eyes in frustration.

"Shes making up some potions today I'm meeting her later for a date. So I'm just killing time right now." He said turning to face her again. She was so close he could feel her breath on his neck and he shuffled back just a little trying to hide his blush.
