Apparently still pissed that I fled during our last bout, the Boar lunged at me. This was a costly mistake for the little oinker. I sidestepped its vertical lunge, and in a flash I had unsheathed my rapier and plunged it into the Boars back. Not being finished, I tugged the blade to the opposite end of the Boar, effectively splitting it in half (Dealt 6 Damage. 4 DMG + 2 Super Critical Damage).

Dispersing into millipixels I proceeded to collect my loot and finish mining some ore. Does that count as a redemption or what? I think I've truly outdone myself.

Making it to the Inn, they stood out by the front desk. "The pleasure is mine" he mused. "Thanks for all you've done today. I really appreciate it. And we'll have our race soon enough. As for barging in I think I'll settle for a PM haha!" Bowing to the Miss, Oikawa headed out the Inn and went home to his shop. I would say today was pretty great, aside from nearly dying and all, but I met someone special. Someone I can see myself harassing for a long time. Smirking he entered the shop, thus ending the night for him.

I waited for my HP bar to finish filling up. I was going to make amends with my cowardice. As my HP reached [///////////////} 15/15, I decided to finish my desired quest, or at least some of it. I headed back out the city gates. Searching for some ore formations, I followed a stream up to a nice cluster. Counting out 4 formations I went to work on mining.
Unsheathing my blade, I attempted to chisel out some ore.

Focusing on the critical points of the formation, I uncovered with one hard thrust, a magnificent piece of ore. Making my way to the next formation, I tried my luck at mining it.

Succeeding in the same way as before, I was starting to feel my luck had begun to turn around. However my excitement was short lived as I heard the noise of heavy grunts and heavy hooves. Turning around, I realized i was faced with my nemesis, the dreaded Boar. Flicking away my notification for receiving the 2 ores, I prepared to do battle and settle the score.

"Ashamed? I'm not ashamed, but it was very nice to meet you as well" he said as his cheeks grew a smidge rosier. Turning so that he was beside her, he stuck an elbow out. "I think you're more than capable of handling yourself, however, I will gladly walk you home. You can never be to safe around hidden tree roots." he spoke, as he alluded to their earlier jokes. Opening the door, he lead her out and allowed her to direct him to the Inn she was staying in.

"Killing boars sounds like an excellent idea. It will all give us the chance to get acquainted with battle mechanics and each other. Though I suspect some of us don't need much acquainting" he said while winking at Calrex and Teayre. Checking his stats he wondered if he should reveal his true level. If I do they might not like it considering this activity started out as a chance for all the newbies to get together and train. But if I don't and they find out they may not trust me again... hmm I'll play it by ear for now, though I hope I don't wait to long to clue them in. Obviously lost in thought, Oikawa didn't realize that his sudden silence, had given off an awkward vibe. "So about those boars, is everyone down to go kill some?

It seems a hammered the blade down to flat, alas its a long-sword nonetheless. Deciding to shape it a bit more before it completely cooled, he forged it into Rare Two-Handed Straight Sword.

Using all my willpower I had crafted yet another Perfect Item. This time it would become the rapier he had desperately made for his friend.

I decided to try my luck again today. Opening up the shop today felt slightly uneasy.. After yesterdays fails, I was a little on the down side. But you win some you lose some. Lets get a win he thought to himself.
Setting up the forge required little effort. As he was now getting used to the motions. Bringing over a mat, he set to work and the heating and beating process. Lets try for that rapier again.

"As for preparations I suppose we could do a small quest before we go on this raid. From what I heard its pretty easy and it's good for beginners like ourselves." Eyeing the group he hoped his sudden suggestion to party up and quest wouldn't come off as weird or pushy.

Seeing as their was only one logical way to get away from this otherwise failure of an attack, Oikawa ran. He ran like his life depended on it, which it did. He didn't look back until he was safely with in the confines of his shop. That is single-handedly my worst showing as a warrior and my greatest disappointment. I have no right to call myself a fighter. Rather a coward. I can't fathom myself for this. Shaking his head, he was only happy that he didnt die. Aside from that he was deeply disappointed in himself. I shall never run away again, I must redeem myself.

How do I find myself in these near death situations.... I just had to attac the stupid Boar didn't I? Regaining his composure, Oikawa readied his blade. The pig rocked back then leaped into the air. Not getting very high, it still knocked Oikawa backwards as he took yet another point of damage. Lashing out at the pig, the made a series of lunges and retreats resulting in no further damage being taken.

The Boar lowered its head and launched itself at Oikawa. Not prepared for this attack, Oikawa went flying into earth (Received 3 damage). "You wretched Boar, I've seriously had it with you." Lunging forward Oikawa thrusted for the pigs face, but the Boar simply sidestepped, leaving Oikawa to land within the boars vicinity of attack. Turning its head the boar attacked again, but Oikawa was the one to sidestep this time anticipating the Boars attack this time. He then extended his Rapier to try and poach the pig mid air but missed by quite a few inches. Now back on their feet the two prepared to square off again.

Oikawa drifted through the greenery that was the Grasslands. Nearly back to the city limits, he spotted a boar. "I can't help myself ? Can I?" Not waiting to answer his own question, he jumped forward in an attempt to strike the pig down. Unfortunately the exact opposite happened. The Boar turned around and charged Oikawa. Sending him tumbling into the dirt (Dealt 1 damage).

"Of course of course. I'd hate for you to think I was cheating. I have way more integrity than that." "As for my shop, it isn't quite ready for business yet. I'm stocking up on supplies and items, so I can make a grand opening on New Years. As for what I sell, I sell weapons and armor. It's a competitive scene considering loot drops and the already established forges out there, but I'll manage." Grinning at the pig-tailed blond, he responded to her last statement. "Miserable? Being around you has proved to be anything but. In fact I'm enjoying our time spent together." Turning his face to hide his slight blush, Oikawa checked the time. Ahh it's getting late maybe I should call it a night. Plus I probably just made this really awkward. Oh well, I meant what I said.

December 26-
"Another day, another item" I said as i opened up the shop. I decided to clean out the forge so I could start a new project. Once it was spic and span, I fired it up. Let's see if i can make another rapier today. Bringing over my material, I went to work on heating it then proceeding to mold it with the anvil.

"Haha I knew you'd say that" in reference to her comment about ordering more. Standing up aswell, Oikawa answered the Miss. "As for the race I would like to postpone it till a later date. The destination will be the entrance to the floor 1 dungeon near the northern edge. The starting point shall be my shop. Is that okay with you?" Waiting for her answer, he decided to leave a tip for the bartender and check his stats. Hmm I now have full HP. Maybe food was all I need haha. "I suggest you stretch those mining muscles" teasing her a bit more.

Pushing my self to max speed, I practically became a blur. Right in the wolfs face, I tried to shove my rapier right down its throat.

Succeeding in my act (Dealt 4 damage), I wasn't aware the beast was still hanging on. This of course, came with consequences. Snapping down on my arm, the beast inflicted some more damage before it dispersed like its fallen comrade (Received 1 damage). Grabbing the last wolf;s Loot, I checked my notifications.

Not wasting time Wolf 2 broke into a sprint lunging for my chest. Bringing my rapier up, I attempted to stab it right through the snout.

Making it close enough, the wolf settled for a slash at my shoulder (Received 1 damage), seeing as I sent it flying with the hilt of my rapier (Dealt 4 damage). "Come on, you mutts are stronger than this right?" What am I doing? I shouldn't be taunting these bea- " Ack" I had been jumped by Wolf 1 again.

Holding on to my back, the wolf snapped at my head. not giving it a chance to finish its task, I reached behind me and pulled with all my strength to flip the wolf over my shoulder in a takedown move. Then I pierced its torso with my rapier causing it to disintegrate into nonexistent pixels (Dealt 4 damage). "All that's left is you "Alpha" " I said with a grin. Grabbing the orb from Wolf 1, I flicked away the Loot notification. "Lets do this" I said as I lunged forward.

In two swift motions, I drew my rapier and raced toward Wolf 1. Accepting my challenge Wolf 1 dashed towards me. Simultaneously, we jumped. Pointing my rapier at the beast I cocked my arm back and thrusted my rapier forward.

Stabbing it in the chest, it yelped and fell to the ground (Dealt 4 damage). However, it was no where near finished. Rolling over , the wolf came at me knocking me to the ground and clawing my chest (Received 1 Damage). using my forearm I knocked the wolf off of me. Rolling back wards I stood to a defensive stance. Suddenly Wolf 2 decided to join the fray. " 2 on 1, what're the odds" I chuckled.

I headed back towards the entrance. No sooner than I had reached the exit, 2 baby wolves approached me. Wolf 1 snarled and kicked up some dust. Wolf 2 just sat back and watched. "You must be the alpha outta this pair" gesturing to Wolf 2 but more or less talking to myself. "Welp it can't be helped. I have to slay you both."

"I have no reason to abuse such a wager. If I wanted something else I will just ask" he stated simply. "All finished? Don't worry the secret is nothing major. Just something I hope you can appreciate" he said with an awkward grin. "Speaking of appreciation, I really do appreciate you helping me out today! So to return the favor, I've arranged for our meal to be paid for. I know it's not much, considering I practically owe you my life, but I feel it's a start" Staring at the beautiful blond, he couldn't help but smile.

"Bartender, don't tell her anything I want it to be a surprise!" he said as Miss Susano tried to get an answer out of the NPC. "As for your earlier comment, I will be the one showing you up haha. You have me beat in looks. I'll give you that, but I will be the one winning the race" he stated he watched her eat what was left of her salad. "I hope you have an outfit suitable for mining ore. you're gonna need it for when I win " he said teasingly.

"That was so 30 minutes ago" he said with a grin. "If I'm not confident in myself, how can I expect others to be confident in me?" responding as he grabbed his burger and took a bite. A few more chews and a couple swallows later, Oikawa had finished his meal. Using the cleaner side of the hanky to wipe his face, he turned and waited on Miss Susano to finish her salad. "So I guess I might try the salad next time I'm in here. I'm not huge sucker for veggies but if you claim its good I may take your word for it. He then called the bartender over and whispered something to him.

December 28-
"I'm excited to work in the forge today" I said as opened up the shop. Today I was more than happy to get started. I had just ranked up yesterday an now I can craft thrice times per day. Lets forge greatness today I thought to myself.
Setting up the forge with no effort, I began my routine of bringing over a mat, setting to work on it and then heating and beating it. Looking to expand my weapon selection, I attempted to create a battle-axe.

"It's not as perfect as I intended but for my first battle-axe, this is pretty bad*ss," I exclaimed out loud. Setting it in my pile of items that needed to be approved, I moved onto the next mat.
Giddy with excitement, I reheated the forge I went to work on another mat., I tried to make a helm this time around. Clanging away at the heated material, I realized that this was a day of completely new stuff for me.

Succeeding in making the helm, it wasn't as great as I expected. Just a regular good item, I freely added it to my for sale wall. Pulling out my last mat. I worked even harder. This time it would become the Helm he had really wanted to create.

Being a little to confident, I accidentally bent the material to much. Wanting to slavage what I could, I went to the anvil and tried to beat the material back into a a normal shape.

Able to smooth out the mat, I placed it back in my mat stock drawer. "Well 2/3 today, so not bad. Tomorrow should yield higher results I hope." Documenting my results I headed to the front of the store.
